  Absolute GEM! We LOVED Elisa!

  Elisa was an absolute professional, and an integral part to the romance and festivities of our wedding!! She was responsive, kind, and hugely helpful! We asked Elisa to perform at our ceremony, during our cocktail hour, and for our first dance. Amazing. We did both violin solos, and tied in with some background music.
  THANK YOU Elisa for your generous approach to our wedding music!! She learned a bunch of new songs for us, and nailed it! I couldn't be more thrilled

  Made a romantic moment MAGICAL

  It was a surprise for my wife and she helped me pull it off! She was prompt and accommodating! She played beautifully my music requests. Would highly recommend! She was the key to making our night perfect!!

  Professional and amazing Musician!

  Elisa was very professional to work with, she was flexible in learning a new song for my Daughter’s wedding and did a beautiful job of making the wedding extra special with expert violin playing. It was just the perfect touch to a perfect day!
  I looked around a lot and Elisa was priced very reasonably. We felt like we got an outstanding musician for a lot less money than some of the other vendors were charging. I highly recommend Elisa!!

  Elisa Boynton/Great Wedding Music did a wonderful job playing for our daughters wedding. She was very accommodating and professional. The quality of her music is wonderful.   Outdoor Wedding

  I let the vendor know I was having an outdoor elopement type wedding and she was very accommodating everything seemed fine. I asked the vendor if I needed to provide anything and she said no. Well come day of wedding it was Raining and she then says she needs someone to hold the umbrella for her which she did not even have. My mom missed everything due to this and she flew out here from CA for this. If I was told ahead of time that I needed to provide someone to hold this for her I would have went with someone else. The vendor should have had an umbrella and a stand to hold it knowing the wedding is outdoors in Portland, Oregon in November. She did not stay the 2 hours paid as I was not going to have my mom hold the umbrella for 2 hours.

  Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it! I have actually never been in an outdoor wedding where the weather has been this bad! It was cold and simply pouring rain the whole time. Being November I assumed that the person responsible for organizing the wedding had planned ahead for bad weather but on this outdoor site there was no pop up tent or shield of any kind for wedding guests and musician attending. Even the poor bride was thoroughly wet in her wedding gown and shivering - I felt so sorry for her! My violin and bow got wet despite the umbrella that I was thankful to have but I was able to save them from irreparable damage once I returned home. I was grateful that the bride let me wrap up and leave after the couple had danced their first dance together on the outdoor deck in the, the ceremony having started late. I hope that this couple will have a blessed life together despite the stormy beginning!

  Good Music, Bad Professionalism

  We thought that hiring Great Wedding Music would be an amazing touch to our ceremony. We first inquired her to play violin as well as bring someone to play cello with her. We had a phone call a few weeks before the wedding to go over what songs we wanted and when to have her start playing. We decided for her to play as guests were being seated and when I walked down the aisle. Elisa showed up late and didn't start playing music as our guests were being seated. She had to be told by our day of coordinator and maid of honor to start playing. From my maid of honor, she said that she was being rude to her when she was asked to start playing. I let her know that as our flower man started to walk to stop playing so the DJ could play his song. She kept playing through it. The communication was bad after I told her I would like a partial refund since there was no cellist. It's been months and still no refund.

  In this case I would like to say only that in general it really helps if the exact wedding location is well marked so that the guests and vendors can find it without delay and that a Master of Ceremonies (MC) plays an important role in tying everything together so that the celebration runs smoothly.
