  Smooth from start to finish

  Everything was smooth from the initial stages of planning to the very end of the event itself. I personally thought that Adrian did a wonderful job with incorporating the playlist and building upon it. He was very open to requests from the guests and interactive with them. I received many compliments throughout the evening about the tasteful music and was asked multiple times to write down the company name as well as Adrian's for my guests. I will definitely be coming back for more when I plan my next event.

  We had Dj Gary Liles from Great Rate Djs. He was wonderful! He really catered to our needs and sat down with us for 2 hours figuring out the ceremony, who we are as a couple, and what styles of music we liked. Originally we wanted all country music played but he gently explained to us that for the kind of dancing night we wanted country music might not get everybody up and going. And he was right. He played the songs we asked and threw some crowd favorites in there, and the result!!!! A hoppin dance party that our guest have been talking about for months afterward. His equipment was well set up and the music was easily heard from everywhere in the venue while not being so loud that it drowned out conversation. And he was very funny and helped the flow of the wedding by dismissing tables to eat and giving the cues for the different activites. A very good investment!

  This company is quick and easy to work with. I actually had a DJ based out of Portland, OR. Would highly recommend paying a little extra to choose your own DJ. It was well worth it.

  I have Jeff B. as my DJ and the MC. He is funny and he is such a cool guy. He make our night so memorable and all my guests have such a good laugh with his hilarious self. He also saved my life when my usher forgot to bring speakers for my slide show, so i call Jeff for the last minute i believe it's about 2 hours before the ceremony start, He brought the speaker for my slide show, save my worry. He live all the way in fairfeild and make it on time to do his job. He is great. We all are having such a great time with him.

  Dia was wonderful. He kept the party moving and flowing and everyone had a great time. He communicated really well before the day and during. He reads a crowd really well and made sure everyone had a great time. He also has a super awesome DJ voice.
  He was even really super polite when I forgot the check. Bless my husband, he figured I'd forget to pay someone and fixed it without telling me until later.

  Without Great Rate Dj's our wedding would have been bunk! They did such a great job hooking us up with a professional Dj. We ended up hiring Erik through Great Rate Dj's and we couldn't have asked for anything more! He was prompt, had a great selection of music and even helped us with our time line for the evening. He did such a great job keeping everything on time and running smoothly. It made our night perfect! And you can't beat the cost! I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone!

  We hired our DJ Chris Bartness through Great Rate DJs for our wedding this past November.
  
  We used Great Rate DJs service to connect with several potential DJs and simply felt that Chris was the right person for us. We negotiated the rate directly with Chris and signed the contract and paid our fees to Great Rate DJs.
  
  Chris was prompt, professional, appropriately dressed, and the music he played (as per our fairly general instruction on types that we liked) was fantastic and kept everyone dancing until the very last song. We were wishing that we could have kept him there another hour or two!

  We had Steve Strange as our DJ and he was great. We hired a band, but it wasn't a traditional wedding band so we decided to look for an affordable DJ to play the cocktail hour, play when the band was taking a break, and play/MC for all of the special dances, cake cutting, etc. The price was great and Steve was easy to work with. The website was also very easy in picking songs to play. He was very flexible as our schedule became very fluid, he adjusted easily when we were ready for each dance. We also had unique entrances to the reception and when I sent him the necessary music, he was easily able to integrate it into the reception.
  Because of the band, we were ready to go without a DJ filling in the gaps, but the price made it too good to pass up, and we are really glad we made that decision as it made the day so much easier.

  Ed Barrett was our D.J. and was great. I loved the quality of work that he provided us. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is because when he played our first song he played the live version of the song which really upset me I didn't want to hear people cheering in the background music of our first dance. Other than that I felt he did a great job.

  Here is my experience: Hired our first DJ through Great Rate DJs several months before wedding. Spoke to him on the phone, he seemed professional, experienced, knowledgeable, and very capable of handling our wedding. Paid him in full weeks in advance yet 2 days before the wedding he calls and claims he had a family emergency and cannot provide his services; he guaranteed a refund within 30 days yet I'm still trying to track him down. Great Rate DJ's did a good job of locating our second DJ last minute. This replacement DJ was a big gamble, seemed ok over the phone. Nonetheless, he was literally the last person to show up to our wedding. He arrived 30 min AFTER the start time of 6:00 with 100+ guests just waiting around. Walks in with a backpack, sets up his labtop and several speakers that he looked like he picked up at a garage sale (maybe on the way to the wedding, perhaps why he was late?). Starts playing "here comes the bride" from a youtube video (not kidding); you could even hear people talking in the background of the music. His equipment was awful, didn't have a mic.... had to borrow the venue's mic. The guy single handedly made the wedding a nightmare. All in all, I paid double and ended up getting a mickey mouse caliber DJ. The original DJ has yet to refund the $425 I sent him back in Nov (yeah I know, long gone). Coincidentally I asked Great Rate DJ's how many appearances he had made and apparently it was his very first. Pretty sure that guy was a scammer. I will steer very clear of any DJ facilitators such as Great Rate DJs in the future. I don't know what type of background check (if any) Great Rate DJs does on their DJ's but it's clearly not enough.

  I would not recommend this company to anyone ever. My original dj was a no show which I found out by voicemail. When I called back, there was no answer which was later explained to me that ' they were on vacation'. A random woman showed up with old equipment and none of my music. My bridesmaids scrambled to get my ceremony songs on their iphones to which the woman responded 'I don't know how to hook that up'. Mid ceremony just before I was to walk down the aisle with my father, the music stopped and the "DJ"didn't know how to fix it. My brother had to go and press the button to make the music start up again. I had to pre pay for the services which were terrible, great rate djs claimed this was not their fault and I needed to speak directly with the woman who at the event to get my money back. They have me her contact information and without surprise she has still never returned my phone call. Worst. Company. EVER
