I love this place. My rings are custom and look amazing. Whitby location was just amazing. While I absolutely love my engagement ring (the quality, the design, and the value), the circumstances surrounding our transaction were simply abysmal.
My fiancé went to Graziella for a Grand Opening Sale, where they touted excellent prices for engagement & wedding sets, and it really looked like they could deliver. They quoted him a set at $2800 all in. - a round stone diamond (1) with channel-set side stones (12), and a matching wedding band of the same small channel-set diamonds, which we could do as either a half-band or eternity-style for no extra charge. So amazing, right?!
Didn't happen. Due to finances, my fiancé paid $2000 up front, which would secure the engagement ring ASAP, and the remaining $800 was to be paid when we came in to size the eternity-style wedding band and finalize the order. When he went in to give my ring size and pay the final $800, the clerk apologized but said that there was no way he could purchase the wedding band for $800 -- that the price of the band was $1300 (either 1300 or 1500 - my memory fails me here, but it was ridiculous).
Obviously he scoffed at the price. "No, the band itself is not $800 - you quoted me $2800 for the set." They wouldn't budge. Not wanting to fork out more than he was quoted, he left empty-handed, and the rep promised she'd get in touch with us about the price issue when she spoke with the owner/manager. This took WEEKS, and even still, they would not honour our quote. At this point, she indicated she would find us a comparable ring for the same price quoted. After an even longer wait (I assumed she thought she'd lost us for good - and she was pretty much correct), she came back saying she found a ring "in the same range" (but still more than $800).
So, we have not yet found my wedding band, and I strongly doubt we'll return to Graziella.
