Our hair and makeup for my wedding in October were exceptional!! My bridesmaids and I were so happy with our look. We had such a great time with our hair and makeup artist, Lisa. It was truly a highlight of the day!! Lisa, was very good at what she did. Before the event I FaceTimed with her and told her what look we were wanting. I felt so comfortable after that phone call because I knew she was a great pick. At the event, our hair and makeup looked fabulous and lasted the day and night of fun, sweaty dance. I would highly recommend Lisa Bartley for your hair and makeup. -

I booked Lisa for my wedding hair on short notice, and she was amazing to work with. She was friendly, responsive, and able to travel to us, which made the morning completely stress‑free. I had planned to do my own hair but kept worrying about it, so I reached out to her just a couple of months before the wedding. She immediately put me at ease, and she had incredibly fair pricing.
Even without a trial, she nailed the partial updo I wanted based on a few inspiration photos. It worked beautifully with my naturally curly hair, stayed in place all day, and looked perfect with my accessory pins. I received so many compliments and truly felt beautiful.
I’m so grateful for Lisa’s talent, flexibility, and kindness. Highly recommend her to any bride looking for a reliable and skilled stylist. -

I am so grateful I found Lisa for my wedding. She truly exceeded every expectation. My bridal look was exactly what I hoped for, my half up/half down hairstyle was gorgeous and stayed perfect all day, and my makeup matched my vision flawlessly. She really listened to what I wanted and made sure I felt like the best version of myself.
Beyond her talent, she was incredibly friendly, calm, and professional. She handled a huge wedding party: 11 makeup services and 5 hair services, i addition to my own and still had us ready ahead of schedule. Her time management was phenomenal, and the whole morning felt smooth and stress-free because of her.
If you’re looking for someone who is skilled, kind, organized, and truly cares about your vision, I couldn’t recommend Lisa more. She was a huge part of what made my wedding day feel perfect -

Working with Lisa was an absolute dream. She is so down to earth, friendly, and not to mention talented. I have naturally curly hair (2B-2C) and it was important to me to wear my hair essentially "natural but elevated," and Lisa delivered! My hair is on the finer side, so I supplemented with clip-in hair extensions and Lisa flawlessly clipped them in and styled/texturized them to match my natural hair. Also, I was definitely doing a bit of head-banging on the dance floor and those babies stayed put. Additionally, her make-up skills are top notch. I felt beautiful, but still like myself. This was true for me and all the bridesmaids and both mothers. Both the mothers were a bit apprehensive about getting their makeup done, but both felt gorgeous - showing Lisa knows how to work with different skin types, both young and mature, and make everyone feel beautiful. Also, we were all crying and the makeup stayed put, so no fear if you are emotional - Lisa's got you! Thank you Lisa! -

Lisa was incredible to work with for my wedding makeup needs. She was so helpful and was able to fit me and my maids of honor in for wedding day makeup amidst an already booked weekend for her. She did a trial session with me and created my perfect bridal look. She’s also super fun to talk to and hang out with! On wedding day she was very flexible and easy going which was much needed on that crazy morning! My makeup held up well even after 12 hours. I felt gorgeous and confident all day long! -

I booked Lisa at Graykin Hair & Makeup pretty last minute, and I am so glad I did. My mom and I drove down to Salida for a trial a few months before the big day, and from the moment I met her, I knew I had made the right choice. Hair and makeup are such personal parts of your wedding day, and Lisa managed to make me feel incredibly beautiful while still feeling completely like myself.
She was so receptive to feedback, offered thoughtful and creative ideas, and brought such a calm, magnetic energy to the whole process. Lisa is both talented and down-to-earth—an absolute joy to be around on a day that can feel overwhelming. Her support, attention to detail, and genuine care made such a difference for me.
If you are getting married in the Buena Vista/Salida area, I would not think twice about hair and makeup with anyone other than Lisa!! -

I can't say enough wonderful things about Lisa and the amazing job she did for my wedding hair and makeup! From the moment I first reached out, Lisa was incredibly communicative and made the entire process so easy and enjoyable. She listened carefully to what I wanted, and during the hair and makeup trial, she took note of every little change I requested, delivering a look that was even more stunning than I could have imagined.
On the big day, Lisa worked her magic again. She made me feel like the most beautiful version of myself. She also did the hair and makeup for my mother, mother-in-law and several of my bridesmaids, and they all said it was the best they’d ever had at a wedding! They felt glamorous, and it truly showed in how they carried themselves throughout the day.
Beyond her undeniable talent, Lisa is such a kind and warm person. My bridesmaids, mother, and I were so happy with Lisa and her team. We used Graykin Hair and Makeup for our wedding on 9/28/2024, and I also used Lisa for my hair/makeup trial for my engagement pictures in January 2024. Lisa is awesome to work with and very down to earth. I provided her with some pictures of the "vision" I was looking for, and she did an incredible job. We were all super happy with our decision; all the girls loved their hair and makeup, and so did my mom and I! -

Great experience!
Graykin Hair did my hair and makeup for my elopement last July, and I could not be more pleased! Planning all the way from NY, Lisa made the entire process seamless. I appreciated her expertise and her input in the styles I sent her in terms of what would work best for my elopement day (we were hiking at 3am in the morning!). Lisa was personable, skillful, and efficient! Would highly recommend.

Lovely Amazing Lisa
Loved having Lisa with Graykin for bridal day makeup. I asked for a natural but polished dewy day look so I still felt like me and she delivered! The makeup came through beautifully on our photos, the bridal party loved her, and I couldn't be happier. Lisa is not only very talented, but personable, flexible, and just lovely to be around. -

Elopement Hair and Make Up
Lisa did my hair and make up for my elopement and she was such a joy to work with! She was very responsive with communication, fair with prices, and flexible with accommodating my needs, which was so helpful since I traveled across the country for my special day. Lisa was so friendly, sweet, and down to earth and it was so nice talking to her while getting me ready. I showed her photos of the look I was trying to achieve and she definitely delivered! -

Lisa is the best!
Lisa did such an amazing job on me and my family’s hair and makeup for my wedding. We hired Lisa for 2 days back to back. We did a sunrise elopement the 2nd day and she was over at 2am to help get me ready. My hair and makeup lasted allll throughout the day (total of 16 hours!). She did such a good job taking her time and making sure everything was perfect. I had my wedding reception back in Wisconsin and got my hair and makeup done at a salon and can honestly say it was no where near Lisa’s caliber of expertise. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for bridal hair and makeup! Wish I could have brought her back to Wisconsin with me! -

I had a great experience with Graykin Hair & Makeup for my winter rehearsal dinner and wedding! Lisa was professional, responsive, fun to work with, and flexible as I changed what I wanted multiple times throughout the planning process. She did an amazing job on my hair and makeup as well as my mom's and all the bridesmaids'. She also has a very calming presence, which was much appreciated on the day of. Perfect stylist for this bride.
Lisa was the perfect stylist for my wedding. I don't usually have styled hair or wear makeup; she did a fabulous job making me up in a way that was beautiful & special without being overdone. She was calm, cool and collected, which also made a huge difference for me on my wedding day! Definitely hire her. :) -

Lisa is the sweetest person and did an AMAZING job with hair and makeup for myself and our bridesmaids. She is very professional and I was super impressed with her ability to stay on time (30 mins for hair, 30 mins for makeup for bridesmaids) while working all day. I loved my final look, and by bridesmaids were all also very happy. She has an impressive ability to understand what look you want, and then create it beautifully. Because I had a big wedding party, she came to our hotel in the morning to start then moved with us to the venue, and brought in someone (Torrey) that she works with to help with getting everyone ready, and Torrey also did a great job. 10/10- Would Recommend
I cannot recommend Lisa enough. Myself (bride), my bridesmaids and my mom couldn’t have been happier with Lisa’s work. She is incredibly talented and can make any vision come to life (braids, sleek/modern, pin curls). She is a hard worker ( and fast!!!) and is eager to make you happy! What really stood out to me about Lisa was how genuinely excited she was about my marriage. Her positive calm and flexible energy on the day of made me feel so good. I was happy to have someone who values marriage and had such good energy during such an intimate time in my life.
Again, I cannot stress enough how talented Lisa is and how much I encourage you to work with her!! Thank you Lisa for making my hair dreams come true! -

My special day
Working with Lisa was the easiest part of planning and getting ready for my wedding. I went in for a trial and she was wonderful, kind, and caring. Her work was phenominal and I knew she would be doing my hair and makeup on my big day. On my wedding day she came to my hotel and took care of my mom, my mother in law, all my bridesmaids, and myself. I was worried about time but she quickly calmed me down and reassured me. She was so much fun to have in the room. She laughed and talked with all of us. My hair is hard to curl and she made my curls stay all day without making my hair crunchy.
Lisa truly made me feel amazing.
After having her do my wedding hair and makeup she now is the only person I like cutting my hair.
She is absolutely wonderful! -

She is very responsive, and very punctual, so she made it a breeze scheduling appointments with her. She did my hair and my bridal party while she was 7 months pregnant with the biggest smile on her face and without taking a break; and I have a family of thick curly hair! Lol

If I could rate negative stares I definitely would.. My experience started out really good Lisa responded fast and answered all my questions. I just need Bride makeup done and I pointed that out in several emails. Then yesterday I told her it’s just make up for the I guess hole time she thought it was hair and makeup. I was then giving by Lisa the prices for just makeup. The direct deposit amount day of and trial amount. I had already Venmo my deposit from The first part of verified. I was like can that go towards the new amount. It was a low direct deposit from before. I then got a message saying we can do your wedding any more and sent me back my deposit. I was like what the reason. I got no response and I’m absolutely pissed off. I have 70 days tell my wedding and finding things like this is not easy! I would not recommend using this option for bridal hair and makeup. It’s a huge wast of time.
