Our experience with Granite Bakery was one of the most fun and easiest of our vendors. We did a walk-in to their bridal cake shop and were helped right away even though we came on a Saturday afternoon. We tried about 8-10 different cake flavor combinations (which were all fresh) and they walked us through the deposit and booking process. The design I asked for (it was an inspo picture that I asked for them to match to) was nearly exact. I also called about two weeks before our wedding and added additional baked goods to the cake order, which those and the cake showed up with no issues on the day of. The cake/flavor itself was exceptional, and many of our guests commented saying it was the best they've ever had. Overall, so happy with Granite Bakery, they were worth every penny, and in my opinion a no brainer choice for your wedding cake in Salt Lake.

Amazing Wedding Cake.
I wanted a smaller cake and they were able to design it from an idea off of a picture I had found. It was beautiful and looked better than I was expecting. Great price and service. Ordered some small cupcakes as well and they were so pretty in the perfect colors. The owner delivered my cake personally. I could tell he was proud to deliver it to me. His comment:
"This is a beautiful cake ". I had so many compliments on it and it was delicious as well.

Delicious and stunning!
I think the photos of our cakes speak for themselves on how stunning they are. They decorated with the cake exactly as I imagined and even provided perfect cake stands! What they don’t show is how much fun we had at our tasting and eating the cake!! We searched everywhere for a Swedish Princess Torta and they had a delicious recipe that could have a white outside instead of the normal green. Made our day!

I know baking, and these people know how to bake. Our wedding cake was a hit. Wedding cakes are notoriously beautiful and mediocre in taste. Granite Bakery created a beautiful cake that tasted delicious. We initially were hesitant because of its standing as a neighborhood bakery. Yet, after trying multiple other bakeries/patisseries, we tried Granite and were impressed. The cake was spectacular, perfect. The bride chose a triple layer chocolate cake with a smooth buttercream frosting. It was pristine in its appearance. We then had Artistic Floral arrange flowers on the cake. It looked amazing.

Exactly what I wanted!!
Granite Bakery was awesome from the very beginning. My situation was a bit out of the ordinary in that I had to have someone other than myself or my husband attend the tasting. They coordinated everything great and treated my family members who attended as if it was their event too! On my wedding day, the cake was delivered on-time, with the stand I had requested and looked exactly as expected. Everyone who had a piece loved it! I would highly recommend Granite Bakery for your wedding cake needs.

They were able to add a second cake less than two weeks before the wedding. Susie was super responsive and had great suggestions for the look and flavors! It definitely felt like a personalized experience.

Amazing Wedding Cake
We ordered a 90 serving sheet cake for our wedding. This was the best cake I've ever had! Our guests are still raving about it 3 weeks later. We are so happy that Granite was able to do our cake for us. They were awesome to work with! We would use them again in the future.

Wedding cakes should taste great and Granite Bakery delivers! Our cakes were beautiful and yummy. They delivered them as agreed upon. I never worried once after meeting with the bridal staff. They also called me the week of the wedding to let me know they had everything handled. It was perfect!!!!

They delivered a gorgeous three-tier cake that was beautiful and delicious. The one thing I would recommend is this: If they deliver it to a location where you know you'll have to move it from, don't put it on the stand. Whoever runs in to move the cake won't realize that the plexiglass WILL slide right off the stand.
Because it was warm that day, we kept it in the kitchen and moved it to the backyard and my friend didn't realize not to move it WITH the stand -- he nearly had a caketastrophy/

Incredible taste and service
The ladies at Granute Bakery were incredibly kind and accommodated everything we wanted. The cakes (chocolate with Bavarian cream and a lemon poppyseed w/marzipan) were both incredibly delicious. The chocolate was so popular it was eaten very quickly, so my husband and I purchased a 2nd small round of the same cake to eat at home. The tiered wedding cake wand absolutely gorgeous with different textures on each tier and cherry blossoms wrapping up the side. Overall, a fabulous experience

Amazing Baker, Professional Business, Treats You Like Family
Granite Bakery not only made an amazing cake for my clients wedding, they also made a second cake last minute! We all know that something will go awry on wedding day. Usually its something small and easy. However, on this day, my clients were forced to move ceremony indoors due to weather and we had to flip the reception space. Doing so, we had to relocate the already delivered cake. When the cake was being moved, the cake stand broke!!! The cake fell and was ruined. I called Granite Bakery to see if there was ANYTHING they could do...and you know what, they PULLED THROUGH! They were able to bring a replacement cake and save the personalized decor on the first cake. Huge crisis averted. I will always sing their praise and recommend to all of my couples. Thank you again for your amazing service and treating me and my clients like family. I will never forget that day!!

Granite Bakery was fantastic to work with! They created a beautiful cake for our wedding day. We chose the lemon poppyseed with custard, and coconut with custard pineapple filling. I was hesitant to choose a cake with fondant, Granite Bakery explained that the fondant would give us the look we wanted, and they weren't wrong! They were so helpful when we were sampling flavors and made sure we were satisfied with our order.

Loved my cake!
I always knew I wanted a Granite Bakery cake for my big day. I've always loved anything I purchased from them! When I went in for my tasting, the wedding team was accommodating and really took the time to let me try as many flavors as I wanted and listened to my vision. They were wonderful to communicate with during the planning process. I needed to modify the size pretty close to the wedding, and they were able to fix it with no problem. My cake arrived on time and looked stunning! I received a ton of compliments on how beautiful it looked and how it tasted even better! I am thrilled that Granite Bakery came through for me and will be recommending them for any cake (or other dessert) occasion.

Cake was not only beautiful but delicious! We were able to taste several different kinds, they recommended how to feed all 250 economically without spending overspending our budget by recommending sheet cake in same flavors vs cupcakes to be served to the guests after the cake cutting. We were even able to take a layer of to the brides cake to her 5th grade students so they got a piece. Highly recommend, they were fabulous.

Wonderful Customer Service and Cake!
We had a wonderful consultation and experience with Granite Bakery! They were very accommodating with my large family that all wanted to come with. They have many flavors to choose from and all that we tried were delicious! We went with a Raspberry swirl cake, with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting. We had SO many compliments on the cake and especially on the frosting! They delivered to the venue for a small fee and the cake was beautiful! Our florist just added the flowers! They made the best gluten free wedding cake I've ever had. My husband has Celiac so I haven't forgotten what "real cake" tastes like! They had lots of options and great flavors. The tasting room at Granite was was sold us, the flavor choices were amazing. But my wife and I were absolutely blown away by the finished product. The customer service team called and asked questions in the days leading up to the wedding to make sure they were delivering on our vision. Travel has been such an important piece of our lives, and we wanted it reflected throughout the wedding, and in the cake. Granite absolutely delivered. We walked right in to the consultation. We then chose flavors to try and looked at the display cakes to get a better idea in addition to what we found on pintrest. They offered to let us use one of the many cake stands they have in addition. The consultation was quick, easy, and efficient. I was so nervous to get a bigger cake then the people coming. My only minor complaint would be that it was about 45 mins late being delivered, and the cake cutter arrived almost 2 hours early to cut the cake so I felt awful making her wait around for that long. In the grand scheme of things it really wasn't a big deal, everything turned out amazing.

Granite bakery provided my cake and refreshments for my wedding and honestly, I loved everything. Before the wedding we went in and cake tested and it was DELICIOUS. They were super affordable and made literally everything so easy and stress free. So glad we went with them!

I met with Alexis at granite bakery and designed exactly what we wanted for our wedding cake. I am a very visual person so leaving it in their hands until my wedding day made me nervous. Granite Bakery was incredible!! I highly recommend them. My wife and I were combing two families with this wedding which makes us a family of nine. Russ gave us a suggestion of little cakes for the kids where they pick their own flavors and the kids loved it!!! This changed the day from my sweetheart and I getting married to a union of two families and the kids felt very much a part of it rather then spectators only. Each cake was beautiful and tasted incredible!

Granite Bakery has the best wedding cakes hands down. We had the Strawberry Cheesecake Cake with lemon filling, Chocolate Raspberry cake with Raspberry filling and the Almond Cake with Apple filling. Fondant over butter cream. The decoration was perfect, the flowers beautiful and artistic. We put this on the menu as desert, everyone raved about the cake being the best they have ever tasted. We even had 2 food scientist at the wedding who raved over the deliciousness. They delivered in pefect time and the stand was beautiful.

We ordered a two tier semi-nude carrot cake from Granite Bakery along with almond poppy and chocolate raspberry cupcakes for our wedding in August 2016. The dessert was phenomenal! We received many compliments on the quality and presentation of the cake and cupcakes. Janna at Granite Bakery was extremely helpful in helping us determine the right amount of dessert for our guests and we ended up with hardly any leftovers. It was fantastic. Granite bakery had simple yet elegant cupcakes and delicious flavors, and our top tier bride/groom cake was a aspen tree bark look which turned out PERFECTLY! We ordered almost twice as many cupcakes as we had guests and we hardly had any left over because they were so delicious! They lent us their wood cupcake/cake tier for no additional charge, and they gave us an extra day after the wedding to return the tier which was very helpful in the chaos of family flying out the day following the wedding. Additionally, the tasting session was free and my husband couldn't make it so they generously packaged up some samples for me to bring home to him.
My husband and I froze a piece of our wedding cake for our one year anniversary and I cannot wait to enjoy it again.

I don't think one more review is even needed, but I figured "Why not?". Granite Bakery makes beautiful cakes that taste delicious. The prices are very reasonable. We ordered a 3 tier round cake, with addition of 1/2 sheet cake to help our dollars go further. We chose a raspberry swirl cake with Bavarian cream filling and buttercream frosting. We chose a very simple design (textured buttercream) which our florist then decorated with cut blooms. It was simple and tasty - exactly as a wedding cake should be.

I had to plan a wedding out of state and their help over the phone was amazing. We could select and design not only a wedding cake, but a unique groom's cake with their help over the phone. If the aesthetic appearance of the cake wasn't enough (exquisite), each and every layer was so heavenly delicious. I love loved our wedding cake. I wanted something so simple and even got a picture off of pinterest to have Granite go off of. Overall, the cake was exactly how I pictured it and it was delish! Cheesecake flavored cake with raspberry filling, YUM!!! They work with the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, which is where I had my wedding dinner at, and they delivered on time which is always a plus! Would totally recommend them.

We are in Utah on Thanksgiving and tool a moment to drive to Granite Bakery. We tried some cakes, told the bakers our ideas and then left back home to Massachusetts.
On our wedding day we saw our actual cake and loved it. Guest complimentet us on choosing a really tasty cake, which also looked really well.
I would always recommend the rasperry chocolate with rasperry filling cake and the chocolate with strawberry filling cake.
They were easy going and choosing and ordering also getting the cake delivered was no problem!

Granite Bakery was outstanding to work with. When my daughter, fiancée, and I arrived at the bakery, we did not have an appointment, and they were closing in 20 minutes. This did not make any difference, we were treated as though they had just opened, and not given the bum’s rush. They took their time with us, making recommendations and answered all our questions. They even provided us with samples of the cake and filling flavors selected. In less than one hour, the wedding cake was ordered. Being that the cake was 4 layers, we had the cake delivered and set-up at the venue; which was an hour away from the bakery in the hills about Salt Lake City. The day of the wedding, the weather conditions was not the best, with snow and icy roads, but the cake was delivered on-time and set-up as agreed. The cake was as delicious as when we had the taste test, and as beautiful as my daughter and fiancée requested. I HIGHLY recommend Granite Bakery for any event.

The cake was delicious and they are super helpful! Delivery was on time the day of the wedding and everyone loved how beautiful the cake was!

Granite Bakery was fabulous to work with! When we showed up to order a wedding cake, someone was right with us. They quickly pulled up a computer for us to look through pictures, and gave us a card with their cake and frosting/filling flavors so we could request samples. They let us sample as many flavors as we wanted which I was really impressed with. Once we picked the samples we wanted to try, they had them out to us within 10 minutes. They allowed us to select a different flavor of cake and filling for each layer/tier without any extra cost.
I brought my own picture of what I wanted my cake to look like and Granite was really easy to work with! The lady helping us looked at the picture and said that they could do it no problem! She quickly pulled up some pictures on their website of their version of sunflowers and frosting beading so that I could see what they looked like. By the time we were done talking she had drawn a picture of exactly what I wanted my cake to look like.
Besides great service their cakes are delicious! Their cakes are moist and their fillings flavorful. I am not a fan of fondant so Granite did my wedding cake with buttercream frosting. Not only did it turn out looking smooth and beautiful, but it is good frosting! When I saw my cake on the day of it looked better than I had pictured it. Granite Bridal did a fabulous job!

We ordered the fancy buffet cakes for our daughter's wedding reception. They were beautiful, delicious and affordable. The reception guests raved about the cakes and wanted to know where we got them. I will definitely use Granite Bakery in the future.

We enjoyed our experience with Granite Bakery. They were very friendly and fun to work with.
The tasting was my favorite part. We were able to try many flavors and it was a delicious experience! I was surprised at how reasonably priced they were compared to other bakeries we had tried. I have used them since for birthdays, parties, or that random cupcake craving.

These guys really know what they are doing, professional, organized, and talented. The cake was one of the first things we checked off our list and man, I'm so happy that we found Granite Bakery. The price was right. The cake was beautiful and exactly what I had pictured not to mention absolutely delicious! Almond poppy with dulce de leche filling?!?!? YES PLEASE! I wish I still had some. Mmmmmm! We had 3 different flavored layers and all of them were awesome.

We had our Granite Bakery create amazing cookies for our wedding favors. They were very helpful in creating the perfect cookie. They created a special monogram with both our initials on it. The cookies were wonderful and the guest loved them.

They were a great price, and very talented. My cake turned out exactly how they said it would look, they let you come taste test, had it there when they said. Plus it tastes great!

Granite Bakery is amazing! I wanted something pretty specific -- an ombre cake covered entirely of ribbons of fondant. When I saw the cake I was totally blown away! It was even more gorgeous then I could've imagined.
But even more importantly, the cake was absolutely delicious! We chose the white/raspberry swirl for one layer and chocolate raspberry for the other two layers, both with cream cheese filling. Both flavors were so perfect and moist. You must get your wedding cake at Granite!

I was so impressed with how professional and kind the owners of Granite Bakery were! They were not overpriced but you definitely get what your pay for! They are willing to do whatever you want with your cake and I loved that! And the cake tasted amazing in and of itself! I would highly recommend them!

We were a little worried about their arrival time with the cake to the wedding, but it all ended up working out perfectly. The cake was delicious and those helping to serve all the food did a marvelous job! They even made sure they could make something for my Grandma (who has a lot of allergies) and gave my husband and I a box of food as we left. Great service!

The cake was stunning, and the service I received while planning the even was fabulous! I also hired two servers from Granite to assist on the night of our wedding, and I could not have been more pleased with their professionalism and the quality of their work. They were both so polite and unobstrusive. Thanks to their help, the evening was a perfect success!

I had a court house wedding last month and today we had an intimate celebration including only 20 people. Because it was so small I did not want to spend more on my wedding cake than the food and drinks combined, but I also did not want to sacrafice quality. Granite Bakery worked with me and came up with a way to give an appropriate sized cake for the occassion as well as keeping the cost down. I am so happy with the results. My cake was absolutely beautiful and tasted even better than it looked (who can go wrong with pistacio with bravarian cream filling?).
