Amazing Cake

We changed our cake vendor pretty last minute, and Grandma's Bakery had great reviews and was close to our venue. Their cake was AMAZING. I would eat that cake every day if that wasn't frowned upon! We got a marble cake with caramel mousse filling and white whipped topping. It was so balanced and so delicious. Our friends and family raved about the cake.

My Dad works here, so we figured might as well try it, right? Best cake I've ever had. Taste test was fun, figuring out what we wanted, they were communicative throughout the whole process, and we got a ton of compliments at how good both flavors were (the main cake was chocolate with Bavarian cream, and the sheet cake was vanilla with a strawberry lemonade filling). 100% would do again. We did a small cake for the cake cutting ceremony but it was absolutely beautiful. The taste testing for picking out the cake was amazing and they were open to design changes on the cake if you did not like something. Awesome job and I will be ordering other type of cakes from them in the future.

We had cupcakes at our wedding with a small cake on top for us to cut. The only issue I had all night was that I didn't get to sample all of the cupcake flavors because they went so fast! I am still getting compliments! Our cake was delicious as well. We rented the cupcake stand which looked PERFECT! They were also very prompt and wonderful setting them up for us!

Love how both my cakes turned out! I forgot to put the left over in freezer right away and the inside of the cake was still just as good a week after our wedding!

Very pleased with our cupcakes we got from Grandma's Bakery for our wedding reception. They were delicious and Rachel was great to work with during the planning process.

Our wedding cake was absolutely delicious! My husband doesn't like frosting very much, even he said that it was good. We opted for cupcakes for our guests and a small cake for us to cut. I didn't get to try any of the cupcakes at the wedding, but they sure were delicious at the cake testing. I really appreciated that they let me bring 3 people with me to the testing. I wanted to make sure all of my bridesmaids felt involved in the wedding, so this worked out wonderfully. My flower girl sure liked trying all our options! I saw her with a few cupcakes at the reception. We would gladly recommend Grandma's Bakery to anyone!

Our cake turned out beautiful! They were able to take our ideas and transform into perfection. They cake not only looked amazing but tasted even better. We will be returning for a special cake on each of our anniversaries.

We had such a great experience with Grandma's Bakery! They were very laid back and made everything very simple. We did a cupcake tree and had two different types of cupcakes and our cake. Everyone loved the cupcakes and they include a filling with your order so our guests were able to enjoy chocolate with peanut butter mousse filing and vanilla with raspberry filling. And they were so affordable! They delivered and set up the desserts for a small fee. We would definitely recommend to others!

Grandma's Bakery had a marvelous variety of bakery items available for our daughter and son-in-law's wedding reception. We chose a variety of filled cupcakes for the reception dessert. It was hard to choose because each option was so delicious. They offered many cake flavors, frosting options and dozens of fillings.
They completed the order as it was requested and delivered a beautiful product to the reception location on time. Thank you to all of the bakery staff!

We hired Grandma's Bakery for the dessert buffet at my daughter's NYE wedding. They did a fantastic job and everything was done exactly as promised. We had brownies, decorated and filled cupcakes that were delicious. In addition, we had iced sugar cookies decorated like a clock about to strike midnight, and the monogram initials of the newlyweds.

This is the second wedding that we used Grandma's, and once again, they did not disappoint!

Beautiful pine cone wedding cupcakes! It took me a while to figure out what would work. In the end the cupcakes ended up being one of our favorite things! Very elegent and fun! Thank you again to the decoraters that helped me get the order right. :)

The cake was amazing!!! I couldn't believe the amount of work they put into it for the price.

The only down side was the venue which provided the person to cut the cake didn't know what they were doing. We did not get the number of servings out of the cake that we should have. Our only feedback to the bakery was to give a sheet with instruction on how to properly cut a wedding cake. Again, this was not the fault of the bakery.

I am no expert when it comes to cakes, but my now husband and I went to a few different places for cake testing. Grandma's by far topped them all when it came to taste and price. We are very simple and had just plan cupcakes and a small 6 inch round for us to cut into. They were able to make our round cake the way we wanted it without being over the top. Also, the cake was moist and the buttercream is by far the best I have ever tasted. I would highly recommend Grandma's Bakery!

We purchased cupcakes and a traditional Bride/Groom cutting cake from Grandma's Bakery for our 10/5/12 wedding. Everything was perfect from the cake tasting, consultation, ordering process, delivery and final product. Great value and delicious cakes! So happy we went with Grandma's and 100% recommend to anyone in need of cakes for their special events.

We chose Grandma's Bakery after comparing about 10 - 15 other bakeries. Grandma's offered the best tasting cakes and were the most reasonably priced. We did 14 individual cakes and one 2 -tier for the head table. The cakes turned out beautifully and our guests ate all of the cake! We received a ton of compliments on them. The price in comparison to some of the other bakeries we compared in Minneapolis/St. Paul could not be beat. A well-known bakery in Minneapolis C&Fig quoted us at $ 50 more per cake! Grandma's can not be beat in value or quality. They arrived exactly on time and even set the cakes up on the tables for us.

The BEST wedding cake EVER!! I am one who LOVES sweets and I was rather picky on the taste of our wedding cake. Grandma's Bakery was amazing! We knew we were going to use them for our big day from the second we taste tested the first bite! The cake is so moist! They take your ideas for a decoration and create it so perfectly down to the littlest detail! Everyone loved not only how the cake looked, but they LOVED the taste! I would highly recommend Grandma's Bakery!!

We chose the basket weaving affect and it was beautiful. We had the florist decorate the cake with real rose petals.
The cake tasted amazing and was very moist. We went with marble cake with chocolate moose in the middle!!! They delivered it straight to the reception location.

Grandma's Bakery in White Bear Lake, MN did the wedding cake for my fall wedding. I brought them a picture of a cake that costed around $10,000 and they made the cake MORE gorgeous and probably better tasting than the picture I brought in! They delivered the cake and set it up for me for a small fee. All I had to do was deliver ornaments I wanted on my cake before the wedding and they took care of EVERYTHING. If there were a possibility of 10 stars, they would definitely receive all of them!

Our cake was wonderful! We also ordered 100 cupcakes from them , 50 with purple buttercream frosting, the purple frosting tasted absolutely terrible, very bitter. We took home at least 40 purple ones...very disappointing. However I would order from them again because everything else was great!

Cake was amazing. We only met with the bakery twice. The first time we only taste-tested cakes and frostings. The second time we tast-tested again and put togeather an order. The bakery coordinated with our venue, our caterer, our florist so everything was taken care of.

My husband and I wanted to serve donuts at our reception. We ordered them by the dozen and we had them picked up the morning of the wedding. Everything was simple and fairly cheap for a reception dessert.

Grandma's Bakery was wonderful to work with from start to finish. They were very willing to work with us in designing our cake/cupcake for our wedding. They were very flexible, and had many creative ideas since we wanted to incorporate the cupcakes into our overall cake design.

At the reception, our guests went to for cupcakes, and were asking for more. All in all, Grandma's Bakery was great to work with, and it was an aspect of our wedding that I did not have to worry about at all.

wonderful service delicious cake. we tried Wuoellets and I think they have become to commercial but Grandma's has a wonderful staff and they make beautiful AND delicious cake - I think some places they get a bit to concerned about looks and the cake ends up tasting like crap

Fabulous looking cake that tastes divine! We found grandmas to be very flexible with cake designs. I was able to bring in photos of ideas and my consultant made sketches of our cake. We also loved our tasting- we were able to mix and match cake flavors, fillings and frostings! We thought this was wonderfully helpful in helping to decide on our cake choice.

Our wedding cake was delicious and beautiful, and exactly how we designed it. Including the colors! Which were dark and we had to sign a waiver about the dark colors and leading, but they didn't bleed at all! The only problems were that the person they had deliver and set it up, set up the base wrong. It was supposed to be at an angle like a diamond instead of the square so both sides of the base, which were different colors could be seen at once. It was drawn out that way on our design, and photographed that way from their catalog that I based the main design of the cake on. I was in the changing room and wasn't able to stop the guy from setting it up wrong. Also he didn't push the cake topper into the frosting. It fell off and broke right at the beginning of our ceremony and they wouldn't compensate us for it at all.

Cake tasted very good, but was not happy with the way they did the ribbon! We had black ribbon with a small pink ribbon over it, they must have used glue in between the ribbon because it showed through and changed the color of the pink ribbon:( Was not happy about this. Also the cake looked nice, but at different angles you could tell it was not straight!!!!!!!!!!! It was a 5 tiered cake and did look like it was gonna tip over from certain angles! :(
