    The perfect solution for a social distance party

    Grand Event Center provided us with a great way to host an outdoor, social distance 70th birthday celebration for my mother. We had family come from all over the country and the tent, tables and extra chairs helped us be able to celebrate safely outside regardless of the hot July weather and the covid-19 pandemic.

    Very happy with service

    Our chairs arrived on-time, they were exactly what we expected, and put the finishing touch on our venue’s perfect set up and ambiance!

    Affordable chair rentals

    The prices are affordable and they offered a 10% off promotion if we paid 50% of the deposit by a certain date. The only hiccup was the day before delivery (2 days before the wedding) when they called me to inform me that the previous renters hadn’t returned their chairs on time. I had rented gold chiavari chairs and they apologized and asked if I would be ok with going with another color with no further payment. The fruitwood we went with looked great, were delivered/set up on schedule, and we got them for half the cost due to the inconvenience. I understand things happen and appreciate how they handled everything. I would use them again and have already recommended them to others looking for wedding rentals.

    Special Service for a Special Day

    Grand Event Center was an excellent choice for my daughter's wedding. As planner, but more importantly, mother of the bride, I found GEC to be on top of everything, always professional, products were top-notch and the "Grade A" attitude of their sales staff through numerous order changes and "bride" demands was beyond excellent. Kudos to Zack and Joel, as well as those behind the scenes to a job well done! I would definitely use this fine company again.

    Hands down the best place for rentals

    Hands down the best place for rentals with the most knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly staff. They go above and beyond to help educate and guide you to ensure that you have everything needed for your event. I recently worked with them on a styled shoot for a new wedding venue, Fox Meadow Barn at Cloverdale Farm and Belle Grove Plantation and they far exceeded my expectations with the communication, advice, and day of set-up help. They arrived on time to deliver the items and the gentleman were very helpful in placing it where requested. I can't not recommend them more and will send each and every one of my clients to them for all things rental!

    We rented 2 tents, cocktail tables + linens and linen napkins for our wedding at Faithbrooke Barn & Vineyard in Luray, VA. They were great! We realized last minute that our caterer did not provide linens and they were super responsive and added linens to our order with no problems. Highly recommend!

    Joel and Anne were so accommodating and nice when I desperately needed to rent a tent less than two months before my wedding! They were easy to work with and incredibly responsive! They definitely helped me out when I needed it the most. Thank you!

    Grand Rental Station was very helpful assisting us in picking out our tent, tables, and chairs. The prices were good and the delivery was several days before the event, allowing plenty of time to set up. I would recommend and use them again.

    They were great... great prices and everything. Something happened the day before our wedding to the dishes we were supposed to get and they gave us something to use instead of it.... they were very nice about it and everything turned out great!

    Grand Rental Station was very helpful when we rented from them. We had rented the white gazebo for our ceremony which they set up along with the tent and chairs. For our reception we rented the linens, bar and a couple tables. Grand Rental was very knowledgable about their products and showed up on time to the deliveries. We recommend Grand Rental for any upcoming events.

    Grand Rental made the rental needs for my wedding both affordable and headache free. They delivered on a Friday even though the event wasn't until Sunday and even set up the arbor for me. I highly recommend them.

    Used the white wood folding chairs. They were perfect for the outdoor ceremony. We will definitely be using Grand Rental Station again for future events!

    Their staff and installers were very helpful and hard working. The tent needs repairs and a good cleaning as did the chairs, but the sent new ones to replace the dirty ones. Our helium tank was empty and the second one we picked up filled 15 balloons, not 200 like website says. The gazebo was a nice addition to our ceremony.

    Great Experience. Would order again!

    Anne was very friendly and took the time to review all options available and explained everything accurately. Was very happy with the service however we had ordered sides to our tent that were dirty. We had to wash them down since it was for a wedding. But, it had rained weeks prior to our event so it may have been hard to keep them clean from the prior event.

    Grand Rental Station provided the chairs and some glassware rentals for our wedding. I had originally requested white wooden folding chairs, which are listed on their web site, but they said they didn't have enough, and the ones they did have were in bad shape. Not sure why they have them on their web site, but they offered the plastic folding ones instead. I really didn't want these, so I asked if they could do the fruitwood folding chairs at the price of the white wooden folding chairs, and they agreed, which was very nice. Delivered on time and, since I didn't hear otherwise from the venue, I assume pick up was no problem either. They don't have a large selection like some of the rental companies closer to DC and Baltimore, but they were very professional and accommodating, and I would work with them again.

    Late late late

    GEC has been difficult from the get go. Every person I talked to was wonderful and pleasant, but it’s so difficult to get ahold of anyone. It took weeks from initial requests to get the estimate and booking and payment done.

    I had to add things on three or four weeks out, as stated in rental policies. I was playing phone tag for two weeks trying to add items before the deadline, but the consultants would call me back 20 minutes before they closed for the day, on a random day, one to two days after my initial call. When I returned the call the next day, when the consultant said they would be in office, I would get no answer and the cycle would continue. Luckily, they let me add items still. But then I couldn’t get ahold of them to pay! I didn’t want my order delayed so I was panicking. They wound up charging my card without telling me after I made numerous calls and e-mails asking when and how to make the remaining payment.

    My wedding was on Saturday. The delivery was meant to be made Friday. I called Thursday when I realized I got no delivery time for Friday and my venue is an hour away. They told me afternoon, providing everything was on time it should be early ish. So I waited at the venue ALL day Friday. From about 10 am (in case they were early). We called the company at 5pm (evening) asking where our rentals were so we could set up and decorate. They said they were behind, the delivery would be 7pm, and we were lucky because the weekend prior they were setting up at midnight!! They laughed like it was funny. Our entire wedding party and family waited all day to help us set up, we couldn’t do our rehearsal, and everything was behind.

    The company wouldn’t let us set up our tents ourselves, nor asked for any info on where things needed to be delivered. So we had to wait on site to make sure everything was delivered correctly. The company wasn’t there by 7pm, so we called but couldn’t get ahold of anyone. So we had no idea whether to wait for them to show, or assume they weren’t coming and go home. The emergency number led to voicemail.

    Finally, the company showed after 7:30pm. No warning. It was dark when they were setting up and hard to see anything. We wound up being there until 9:30. We left, the company was still there putting tents up. No one at the company knew what time our event was. We are so lucky it wasn’t until 4pm, because we wouldn’t have had any time to get any of the decorations or tables ready. We almost didn’t have an event at all, and really thought the company was ghosting us. For $3000 I would expect so much more communication and the company to get there during business hours. We didn’t even get all of our chairs, but there was no one in office to talk to about our lack of chairs. So we had to move chairs from the ceremony to reception site since we were short 20-30 chairs that we paid for.

    I wouldn’t even post a review, but I’m assuming it’s going to be impossible to get ahold of the company during “busy season” now that we are no longer on the schedule for them, and I’m certain we won’t be getting a refund for the missing items nor for the late delivery (we couldn’t even use some of our rented items because we didn’t have time to put them together. We got important stuff done by 10pm, with others staying until almost midnight.

    Please go with anyone else. The equipment was good quality, but you do NOT want this stress on your event day. Especially for this amount of money. If we had known it would be so late, we would have paid extra money for the delivery people to do set up so we didn’t have to worry about it (because that’s extra, but we still would have staid late to make sure they did it right). No one asked or wrote down beforehand where things were to go, so someone has to be on site to get it done no matter what time they decide to show up.

    Also, we couldn’t get ahold of anyone to figure out pickup time. By 3pm when we left, they hadn’t showed up. So we cleaned and left, and hopefully they picked up. Ugh.

    I had a wonderful experience working with Anne. She was very helpful and responsive to me throughout this journey. Their failure was delivery for my daughters wedding. They were due to deliver on a Friday between 12 - 3 PM in WV a tent, tent sides, bistro lights, skirting, linens for family table and for two tables I was renting from them. Driver, I was told would make later delivery on Friday and for me to mark four spots to put the tent stakes per Joel. Came back for rehearsal at 5 PM and no tent. Multiple phone calls made but of course its Friday and 5 PM. No emergency numbers to call. Driver calls me on Saturday, day of wedding at 8 AM to say he is in Leesburg and is coming for delivery. I asked the driver why he didn't deliver on Friday like he was supposed to. He said "I was busy yesterday." Delivery is close to an hour or more away from my location. I'm the one responsible for putting linens on tables and time was a huge issue having an afternoon wedding. I refused the order at this point as I was forced to use Plan B. Thank goodness my caterer had tents available to help me. Joel contacted me Saturday and apologized for error and I'm getting full refund. Joel sadly took the blunt of my frustration and Anne has yet to contact me herself. I reserved my order on January 25, 2018 - so yes you had plenty of time. You cannot over extend yourself and cause the stress that you did for our wedding day or future customers.
