User2339813 Sent on 09/28/2015Coming into our wedding planning, me and my now-wife agreed that the best money spent for a wedding (where you could go a little over budget for the right one) is for the photographer. Gracie was just that - she was phenomenal throughout our entire wedding planning experience. From the moment we first met with her, she was extremely accommodating and took the time to really get to know us and out story. Wedding planning can be pretty stressful, so having those people that you are confident that you can rely on is huge, and she was definitely reliable. She wanted to know all the ins and outs of the weddings so she could be most effective, so she came with us to meet the venue/caterer and the wedding planner, and she also talked behind the scenes with the DJ to make sure that she could just focus on getting the right pictures at the right time. She does all this without being nagging - some wedding photographers are unpleasant to work with because they have to have everything exactly how they want it, but Gracie was really patient with everyone during all of the madness that generally occurs during a wedding (as well as the planning). Wedding guests and family all were impressed with her throughout the wedding as well.
We also did an engagement session with her to get used to being photographed professionally, and that was worth it - not only were the pictures great, but we were more prepared for the wedding day, which led to less time doing staged photos. During our wedding, she got bumped and jostled around while people were dancing, but she took it all in stride and only commented on how fun the wedding was. She was great to work with, and we couldn't recommend her highly enough! -

Hiring Gracie was one of THE best decisions I made as a bride for so many reasons. As is clearly evident from her beautiful images, she is staggeringly talented. Her photography combines a special thoughtfulness to details, the moment, and her subject. I know we'll love our photos just as much as we do now 40 years later.
I honestly cannot imagine my wedding day without Gracie. Not just Gracie the amazing artist, but more importantly Gracie the person. Couples, please take note that it is SO important that you not only love your photographer's work, but also enjoy being around the person you hire. After all, you'll be spending so much of your wedding day with them! Being around Gracie is an absolute joy and having her with us for our wedding felt like a gift. She truly enriched the experience of our wedding day. She helped make unforgettable happy moments all the more fun and also had the uncanny ability to remain calm, sweet, and encouraging during moments when we really needed that. Gracie and Laura were beyond incredible!
Photography was something that was IMMENSELY important to me for our wedding. And yet, both with our engagement session and our wedding, I walked away not caring about how the photos turned out (and believe me, I always care about every single detail!), but instead being incredibly grateful for the experience Gracie gave us. Her photos bring me back to the feeling of those moments. Our engagement session was a stand-out highlight of our time engaged. She was such an integral part of our wedding and profoundly exceeded my expectations. I did not know Gracie prior to hiring her and I've now got a dear friend who inspires me. I'm so grateful. Do yourself a favor and get to know her yourself. You'll be forever thankful you did.
There aren't enough stars to properly rate Gracie... she deserves at least 10! -
