Absolutely Perfect
Gracenotes did an amazing job at our recent vow renewal. The music could not have been more beautiful and they were so easy to work with. Many of our guests told us how moved they were by the beauty of this phenomenal string quartet! -

Such a lovely day!
The Gracenotes did such an incredible job at our wedding this past weekend, and Sarah was an absolute pleasure to work with! Sarah was even kind enough to rearrange the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to for a trio rather than a quartet.
We would highly recommend the Gracenotes for anyone looking for a string trio, they're amazing! -

Magical Experience
My wedding planner found Gracenotes Music for my wedding and it ended up being the perfect match. Sarah and her team were very flexible with me and were willing to humor my request for ceremony music being non traditional Lord of the Rings music. The second I heard the music start for my bridal song, it made me tear up. While I unfortunately did not get to hear them play during my cocktail hour as I was taking pictures outside, numerous guests reached out to me during the reception to tell me how wonderful Gracenotes was and their musical choices throughout the evening, to include Game of Thrones and Hamelton. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who would want a night to remember with string instruments. -

Amazing Gracenotes
Sarah was so responsive and helpful with song selection and helping me back into the type of musicians we needed for our ceremony and cocktail hour song selections. We ended up with a quartet for the ceremony and guitar and violin for the cocktail hour. Sarah and her husband Chris really went above and beyond by practicing the song I sang at Cocktail Hour for my husband with me. We had two jam sessions at their house with my voice coach on zoom and Chris sang back up. It made for such a special moment and surprise for my husband and guests. -

Violin/Guitar Duo
We hired a violin/guitar duo for our small, intimate ceremony. Sarah took the time to talk to me several weeks prior to the wedding about the type of music we wanted during key points of the event and to understand the logistics of the venue. We are so glad we worked with Gracenotes--the music was beautiful and made our wedding extra special. Thank you! -

Incredible music!!
Chris and Sarah were absolutely incredible and made our wedding a dream. They truly have a gift. They were a pleasure to work with during the whole process, and I will never forget the magic they brought to our wedding day!! They played everything we requested beautifully, and they made the ceremony my favorite part of our wedding day. :) Gracenotes is a joy! -

No question - the best value of my daughter's entire wedding! I had the pleasure of meeting Sarah and Chris at a friend's wedding where they performed and I was very impressed. For my daughter's wedding, we gave them creative control of the music, as there wasn't anything specific we wanted, just beautiful music before the ceremony and during the cocktail hour. They did not disappoint! They played a very upbeat, Irish selection for the recessional which went over wonderfully with the attendees and my daughter loved it! It was the absolute perfect way to send them down the aisle as a newly married couple. I was so grateful for the personal touch that Sarah and Chris gave to this wedding (when you say "do what you want", there's always a chance of phoning it in, which did not happen here!) I give Gracenotes Chamber Music a 5 out of 5 and guarantee you will be thrilled with their services!! -

Gracenotes was recommended to us by a terrific wedding coordinator and I am so glad she did! Sarah was very responsive to my emails and was very helpful in our music selections for our ceremony and cocktail hour. We hired their three piece strings group and they were wonderful. Gracenotes was on time, and dressed professionally. We left the selection of the cocktail hour up to them and they were terrific! They produce the most beautiful music together and when my other daughter gets married, I will definitely give them a call!! Thank you Gracenotes for your performance and professionalism! -

Having Gracenotes perform during my husband and I's recent ceremony and cocktail hour at Bluemont Vineyard was one of the highlights of our wedding day. Sarah was truly a pleasure to work with - she went above and beyond to help us plan the key parts of our ceremony and even accommodated a special song request that we had for the recessional. Their website was so helpful for picking songs and was a great resource that we referred to often! We chose to go with the guitar and violin duo and despite my initial concerns that this wouldn't be loud enough for an outdoor ceremony, Sarah reassured me that it would sound wonderfully and could be amplified. We received many compliments from our wedding guests on how talented and beautiful the music was. Music is very important to my husband and I, and we are so happy with our decision to choose Gracenotes for this very special part of our wedding! -

Gracenotes did a wonderful job playing music for our ceremony. They perfectly played every song we requested and didn't miss a cue for when to change songs during the processional. Sarah really made the whole process easy, all it took was a 10 minute phone call to discuss musical selections and entrance cues and she took care of everything else! I would definitely recommend Gracenotes if you are looking for professional wedding music. -

Grace notes was absolutely AMAZING! There music was beautiful and gave it the special touch to my wedding. I received so many complements from guests about the music and how elegant it was. They also worked with a singer (loved out of town) to perform one song at the wedding. They were able to work out the timing and sound on the day of the wedding. Recommend for all bridal events. -

What beautiful music at my daughter's wedding!!!! Gracenotes came highly recommended to me and I was absolutely thrilled with the music. Music was a key element to me for my daughter's wedding and Gracecnotes went above my expectations. When you meet with Sarah, you feel like you are talking to a long time friend. Sarah was wonderful to work with. She gave us great recommendations for processional music and I just agreed with whatever she said. It worked out great. We did Canon in D for everyone but the bride, who walked to A Thousand Years. It was beautiful and they were great as a part of the cocktail hour. My sister used them for her wedding too, so I would never hire anyone but Gracenotes in my lifetime. -

Gracenotes was a pleasure to work with for my wedding! We hired their strings trio, and guitarist to perform our ceremony prelude, processional and worship music and I could not have been more pleased! Prior to the wedding day, Sarah was extremely responsive and helpful over email as we determined which songs to use in our ceremony (she even offered to perform a live demo for me!) Her prompt responses to our questions and independent coordination with our DJ and soloists made my life on the wedding day incredibly easy. We even experienced a slight rain delay before the ceremony and Gracenotes was so wonderful in accommodating the last minute schedule changes. Gracenotes has proven experience playing in weddings and they are so good at what they do (and even easier to work with). I would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend, their beautiful music really added SO much to our ceremony. Thank you again Gracenotes! -

The string quartet provided by Gracenotes was absolutely fabulous. Their website is very helpful with suggestions for wedding music and includes audio clips of some selections. They played wonderful pre-ceremony music and even added a little when the ceremony got a 5-minute late start. During the ceremony, they took their cues as discussed in advance (and information requested by them), so music was always appropriate for the particular activity during the ceremony (seating of mothers, processional, recessional, etc.). In addition, their playing was top-notch (and I am a picky musician myself!). Many guests commented that the quartet was just "perfect." -

Chris and Sarah Layman are incredible! The violin/guitar duo provided pre-wedding ceremony music as well as reception music. I couldn't have asked for more. Chris and Sarah were very accommodating; very generous with their time and talents; played a variety of both sacred and secular music. Even played an original arrangement of "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" as my husband and I walked back up the aisle after the ceremony!! They added that "something special" that I really wanted for my wedding!! I highly recommend them for any occasion!!! -

They were terrific, I highly recommend them. My wife is Chinese. They went out and got sheet music for some Classical Chinese favorites of hers and performed the pieces at the reception. Really nice touch. -

Gracenotes Chamber Music was incredible! Our ceremony space was intimate, so we needed instruments that would take up minimal space. Sarah Layman invited my husband and me to her home for a violin and guitar demo and we were so blown away by Sarah and her husband's talent that we hired them on the spot. They were incredibly warm and accommodating, and they worked with us to help create the perfect ambiance for our ceremony and cocktail hour. All of our guests raved about them! My only regret was that, as the bride, I was not able to spend more time at the cocktail hour.
We highly recommend Gracenotes! -

I hired a violin and cello duo to play at my wedding and my reception. I was a bride from out of state and Sarah made it all so very easy for me. We picked several classic hymns for the service and they created renditions for each one of them that were beautiful. I could not have more pleased with how the music turned out for that...it was exactly as I would have liked. For the reception, they were wonderful! They played classical music that created the perfect background ambiance for the reception to add elegance and class. Both my husband and I thought the music was perfect and several people told us how much they enjoyed the music. To sum it up, we were VERY pleased with everything and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for musicians. -

One of the best decisions I made for my wedding was booking Grace Notes for my ceremony and cocktail hour. They were amazing and everyone really enjoyed the music selection. They are able to play a variety of music (including Coldplay for our recessional). Sarah and her husband were so easy to work with and incredibly nice - we could have invited them to the wedding! -

Sarah and her husband provided ceremony music for my daughter's wedding. They were a pleasure to work with, from the charming "concert" where we met them in their home to the last note before the reception. My daughter and now husband requested a special piece for their recessional, not in their repetoire. They arranged a great version! Gracenotes arrived on time, set-up without a fuss (slightly changed location due to weather) and sounded lovely in the space (The Atrium at Meadowlark). We found Gracenotes through Horizon Entertainment. They responded right away. A couple of week before the wedding we submitted the music, and had a telephne conversation to set up the cues and final details the week before the wedding. The day of the event, they arrived on time and the played exactly what we requested. The played during the ceremony and the cocktail hour, and the music was lovely. We had the privilege of having Sarah and Chris (head of Gracenotes Chamber Music) perform at our outdoor wedding ceremony. I was a little hesitant at first about having a violin perform, however, their electric violin and guitar duet was AMAZING!!! Absolutely gorgeous. The acoustics for the outdoor ceremony were perfect! In addition, I had requested a song for my bridal processional that they don't play in their normal repertoire: "All I know" by Art Garfunkle. Not only did they transpose the song into a violin guitar arrangement for me, but I would argue that their arrangement rivals the original - it was THAT GOOD! Gracenotes was the perfect addition to our small, outdoor wedding ceremony. From our initial contact with Sarah to the day of the wedding, they were very professional and easy to work with. Our trio arrived at the ceremony location right on time, set up and started playing. They were able to play all of the songs that we had requested (and we only sent the list a week or two in advance).
I received multiple compliments from guests about the music; one said, "It was like I was sitting in heaven. I didn't want it to stop."
Gracenotes really is a great value for the price as well. I appreciated that you pay for the duration of your event rather than having to watch the clock and pay by the hour.

Gracenotes went above and beyond! They helped to coordinate with my dad who wanted to sing during the ceremony and they learned a new song for our ceremony. They made our ceremony perfect! -

Music was very important to my husband and me for our wedding. I was blown away by the beauty of Gracenotes' music. We have received an overwhelming response from our friends and family lauding the music at the church. I wish I could have sat in the sanctuary and heard it all! I appreciated the Layman's willingness to work with our vocalist and to join us for the rehearsal the night before. I feel that the music contributed greatly to the beauty of our ceremony. I would highly recommend using Gracenotes Chamber Musicians for your wedding. Gracenotes is very professional in the way they handle their customers, is extremely flexible even close to the wedding date - and they are skilled musicians to boot! We were very pleased with their wedding and ceremony performances of both our and their selections. -

I thought that Gracenotes did a fantastic job playing the ceremony music at our wedding! They did take a little while to respond to initial emails that I sent, but as the date drew closer, the resposes were timely. Although it wasn't cheap, I definitely feel that it was worth it! They played flawlessly, and worked well with our soloist. They were definitely that little "something special." -
