There are no words to describe how we felt when my fiance and I received our engagement pictures from Grace. We were floored at how many absolutely beautiful images she was able to capture. Working with her and her second photographer, Gavin, made the whole experience so much better. We were quite reserved at first but after a few minutes, Grace made us feel comfortable enough to even show some PDA (which is not like us). She made the whole process from beginning to end completely effortless. Every family member and friend we have sent our pictures to, have said nothing short of amazing things about the images. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer!!There are no words to describe how we felt when my fiance and I received our engagement pictures from Grace. We were floored at how many absolutely beautiful images she was able to capture. Working with her and her second photographer, Gavin, made the whole experience so much better. We were quite reserved at first but after a few minutes, Grace made us feel comfortable enough to even show some PDA (which is not like us). She made the whole process from beginning to end completely effortless. Every family member and friend we have sent our pictures to, have said nothing short of amazing things about the images. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer!! -

Both my new wife and I are completely and unreservedly blown away by the photos we got back from our wedding, they were beyond our highest expectations. Working with her was a true joy, especially the day of our wedding, her professionalism was exceptional and we are so very thankful we chose Grace and the end result are images that are absolutely perfect.
Her images have something about them that is simply a step above even the other top wedding photographers that I investigated. She uses the highest end camera gear including mostly prime lenses as opposed to zoom lenses which I believe gives her images something special. But it's not the camera, it's the photographer that matters and when she described her approach to weddings, her photojournalistic style, and then getting to know her, we knew she was the one we wanted to document the biggest day in our lives.
Grace and her 2nd shooter were absolutely wonderful to work with the day of our wedding, I would not change one single thing. You could tell that this was more than just a gig for them, the level of focus and the professionalism and skill they demonstrated was incredible, as if the day was as important to them as it was to us.
We have received the images back (early I may add), and we are absolutely blown away. I knew that the photos would be good, but what we got back was in another universe than even the highest expectations we had, it's that simple. Looking back on the whole experience with Grace we feel so much gratitude and appreciation.This may sound over the top, but literally our wedding photos are perfect works of art and I can not recommend Grace enough.

I am incredibly happy that we selected Grace as our wedding photographer. And to think that we would never have found her were it not for a Facebook ad! I remember when we were considering several different photographers and looking at their websites and portfolios. Grace's photographs were just so much more beautiful and moving than those any of the other photographers we were considering. I remember my husband saying "The choice is clear." And he was right. Grace is extremely talented and our wedding photographs are absolutely phenomenal. She was there throughout our wedding day from 11:00 am when I was getting my hair done to nearly 11:00 pm and truly captured our whole wedding story from start to finish. It has been such a pleasure to share the pictures with friends and family who were there and also with those who cannot attend. People who could not attend have said that they feel as if they were there because they were able to appreciate so many of the most poignant movements through the photographs. But you don't need to take my word for it. Grace Havlak is nothing short of AMAZING!
I was on a search for a photographer for our wedding and I am so grateful that I just happened to click on her Facebook Ad that popped up on the side of my page. From her very first email response to my enquiry, I knew she was going to be a perfect fit for our Wedding Day!
Through the planning process leading up to the big day, Grace was super quick to reply to our emails, flexible and full of ideas and suggestions on how to make our wedding weekend perfect. My husband is a filmmaker and had some input on how he wanted our photos to look (lighting, composition, color, etc.) and Grace was able to sit and chat with him about his ideas and offer her input on how she could make that happen. See, we wanted someone to capture our day in a natural way – we didn’t want posed, forced and “say cheese” photos, we wanted Grace to capture the moments that as the bride and groom we might miss, we wanted tender and candid photos, photos that we could look back on and actually feel the emotion of the day by just glancing back through them years from now. Needless to say after expressing our wishes to Grace, we went in to our wedding weekend with complete confidence that Grace would do a phenomenal job.
On our Wedding Day, Grace and her second cameraman Gavin were on time and ready to jump right in. They made me feel comfortable as if the photos weren’t even being taken. I felt at ease through the “getting ready phase” and the pre-ceremony photos. Our “first-look” between my husband and I was exactly how we wanted it, simple yet a private moment between the two of us, all while being captured by Grace and Gavin.
Come time for the ceremony and reception – we were in “bride and groom” mode and the last thing we had to worry about was Grace. She and Gavin were everywhere at all times as if there were 10 of them grabbing every moment of the night – from moments between just us, or of our families, our guests, my five little flower girls, the craziness happening on the dance floor or my grandfather’s heartfelt speech – we felt like all of these moments were being caught on film for us to look back on some day.
Sure enough – the photos did not disappoint; in fact, they overwhelmed me with emotion and happiness. We feel totally blessed and grateful that Grace (and Gavin) was a part of our Wedding Day – we will forever have our incredibly stunning photos to remind us of what a perfect day it was.
It’s easy to see that Grace LOVES her job and takes pride in being able to capture one of the most important and special days a couple has together. There is no doubt that I would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer for a special event. I’m actually hoping that I can convince her to do maternity and baby photos when the time comes!

Grace is a gem!!! My now-husband and I met her right when we got engaged, and after meeting her and seeing her work we booked her immediately for our engagement shoot and wedding. Her passion for photography and lighting is evident as she talks about her work, and her high standards ensure that the product she gives her customers is something she can be proud of. On top of that, she is so friendly and connected so well with us, not just as a vendor but as a new friend. Our engagement pictures from last year were simply beautiful, and we can't wait to see the wedding pictures that she and second photographer Gavin took! On the day of the wedding, Grace got right to work.
