  When I purchased a sample sale wedding dress, I had no idea how stressful it would be to find a dry cleaner that I could not only trust with my dress but wouldn't over charge me by preying on the deep fear another place could ruin it! My search began after calling the dry cleaners recommended by my dress shop. This particular cleaner's pricing started at $500 but since my dress had intricate ruffles at the bottom, said it would likely be $700-$900. After picking my jaw off the floor, I went to work searching the entire DMV area for a reputable business with a fair price and I found it at Gowns Remembered. Terri was personable and reassured me everything would be fine and she would have it ready in 1 week. When I picked up my gown, it was practically glowing. They did an amazing job! The cleaning was pristine and they'd perfectly pressed each and every complicated ruffle for a very fair price. I would recommend them for any upcoming bride before their wedding or any bride looking to preserve their dress as well!

  I tried to take my dress first to a place in Bethesda, MD that wanted to charge me $600 and dip my lace dress into water, when the tag clearly said dry clean only. Luckily, I found Gowns Remembered - they made me feel comfortable handing my dress over, did a great job, and were very reasonably priced. Worth the drive out from DC.

  Gowns Remembered did a unbelievable job on my Wedding Dress. They were very nice, sincere, and professional and answered any questions or worries that I had with my dress. I was very weary leaving my dress with anyone and they made me feel comfortable. The recommended cleaner that was on the label on my dress was very rude and arrogant, so I chose not to go with them and go with Gowns Remembered. I tried to make a conscious effort to be careful with my dress during the wedding, but there was some make up on it that they removed. They made my dress look brand new. They have a lifetime warranty for the dress yellowing and you can take the dress out to look at it with the gloves they provide. They were very prompt, they said six weeks and I had it back in four. They don't take credit cards so they allowed me to take my dress home and mail them a check, very trusting. There price was very reasonable!

  Love this place.....found the dress i wanted on the internet and was able to get the price i wanted and was a perfect fit..........they even through in the veil for free... very nice people to work with and very helpful

  Gowns remembered did a fantastic job preserving my wedding dress. Al working at GR is awesome ! He went over every little detail of the preserving process and made you feel really comfortable leaving your dress.
  
  It's a great place - you can inspect your dress before it goes into the preservation box after the cleaning. My dress was so dirty after the wedding and when I went to inspect it after GR cleaned it, it was so amazingly clean !! It was like I just bought a brand new wedding dress. GR does an amazing job cleaning and preserving the dress. The box is wonderfully packed and your dress is well preserved - it has a window where you can look at your dress anytime you want.
  
  Also, it comes with a lifetime guarantee even if you open the box. Not to mention, anytime you want to take it out and have it pressed for whatever reason, they will do it all for you at no cost.
  
  Trust me - there is no worry about having GR preserve your dress. They do an amazing job and it's worth it. Ask for Al - he's great customer service (even if he roots for the Steelers!). His whole team is professional and friendly - highly recommend Gowns Remembered.

  I wore the drees my Mother and Grandmother wore. It is an all lace dress from the late 40s. It was in great condition when I took it out of the box but it needed some light cleaning and then to be taken in about 2 inches. She was not going to ut the fabric when she took it in though so that the dress could be passed down to me daughter. The lady that was doing the alterations on my dress recommend this place so we trusted her opinion and took the dress there. Well not only did it take like a month to get the dress cleaned but they shrunk the dress atleast 2 sizes. It no longer needed to be taken in and the long lace sleeves we so tight and short on my now there was no saving them. The dress was clean but it was almost ruined at the same time. I can only hope my daughter is my size or skinner or she will not be able to wear this dress because this place shrunk it. Thankfully I still fit in the dress but I was not able to use the dress with the sleeves. Gowns to be Remembered promised they would take care of the dress and knew its age and how delicate it was and still ruined it. Not only did the shrink it but they took a month to get it back to me which was 2 weeks longer then the quoted time. I would have been fine with that but trying to get ahold of someone that could give me an answer was near impossible. It makes a bride nervous to send out her dress for cleaning and not answering the phone and missing deadlines just makes it that much worse. When I called to find out what happened they denied they did anything wrong and wouldnt even let me speak with my original contact. They are horrible and have the worst customer service. I would never recommend taking your dress there. In fact for my dress preservatin I will be driving almost an hour away to get it done just because I would never ever go here again. (Gowns to be Remembered is abouy 20 minutes from where I live)

I sent the gown back to them to have something done about it and was told that there was nothing they could do and that "things happen during the preservation process". Now my wedding dress is ruined, they did not refund my $350 fee and they also tried to blame me for the damage to my gown saying I must have done something to it after they sent it back. Do not use this service unless you want to risk your gown being ruined!
