Delicious Food and an Unforgettable Experience

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Gourmet Catering for our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice! From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. The tasting was so much fun, and we were blown away by the flavors—every dish was better than the last, and it was clear that the team puts so much care into what they do. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, and our waitstaff made such a positive impression on both us and our guests. They were not only kind but also attentive, ensuring everyone was well taken care of throughout the evening. The food itself was nothing short of delicious. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the meal was, and we are so grateful to Gourmet Catering for helping to make our wedding celebration truly unforgettable.

A+ service and food!

We couldn't be happier with Gourmet Caterers! Though the choice was locked in because they were the exclusive vendor for our wedding venue, the Peabody Essex Museum, the fact that those two work together all the time made things effortless. The whole process, working with Anne and Isa, was transparent from start to finish, and they really helped us figure out what options would work best for culinary and budget needs. They were also creative in helping put together our ideas, especially how we were trying to add some of our cultural elements to the signature cocktails and such. The food options are unique and tasty. We definitely knew it was going to be great when we were at the tasting. All of the items we chose to taste were excellent. How rare is that!? There was also a high level of attention to detail in terms of some of our guests’ dietary restrictions/allergies. They were super attentive during the wedding, and our personal attendant made sure we always had our food and drinks handy so that we could easily eat and see to our guests and such. Our guests were very happy with the food, and several of them raved about the chicken, since they said it's so easy for chicken to be dry, but not in this case! Thank you for helping make our celebration that much more special!

"Best Dinner At A Wedding I Have Ever Had!"

We were so lucky that Gourmet was the exclusive caterer at our venue. They were easy to work with and our guests said they have never had a better dinner at a wedding! They took all our requests and preferences very seriously and we really appreciated that.

Incredible Food, Terrific People!

Every bite at our wedding - from hors d'oeuvres to main courses to desserts - was absolutely delicious thanks to Gourmet Caterers! Their entire staff - especially Ann, who coordinated with us - were absolute professionals and experts at the timing and logistics of a larger wedding. They were extra attentive to every detail on the wedding day (including being extra attentive that the bride and groom always had a drink or dessert if they needed one)! The only difficult part of working with Gourmet Caterers is the wait between the tasting and the wedding when all you want to do is eat their scrumptious food!

Gourmet Caterers, where do I start? From the moment we began working with you for our wedding, you showed nothing but professionalism and high quality service. You made our wedding food tasting experience a day to remember, and the food we served at our wedding was the best wedding food I'd ever had! Our guests all came up to us saying they often had low expectations for wedding food, but everything from the appetizers to our meal was amazing! Also, the chocolate button cakes from Gourmet are incredible- we had guests fighting over them!

The best ever!

My husband and I were one of the many couples who were forced to postpone our July 2020 wedding for a year. As our July 2021 date was quickly approaching, the COVID restrictions in the city of Boston were not easing up, therefore we made the tough decision to switch our venue three months before our wedding date. I was uneasy (okay, totally terrified) with the idea of re-planning our entire wedding, however, my worries vanished the minute I got off the phone with Jeanne. Jeanne was extremely accommodating to our tight timeline and ensured that my parents, who live out of town, were involved with every step of the process. Jeanne and her team were professional, responsive and so incredibly supportive throughout our entire planning process and event. We relied heavily on Jeanne’s industry knowledge to help plan every detail of the event. Gourmet’s standards are top notch, therefore we were completely at ease the day of our wedding, knowing that every guest was given the white glove treatment. In addition to the quality service, the food was DELICIOUS! Jeanne worked with us to customize a menu that was out of this world! The variety of hors d'oeuvres was plentiful and ensured every guest would be satisfied (even those picky eaters!) The main course was a meal I am still dreaming about! Our guests could not stop raving about how the meals were not the typical “wedding meals”, but rather entrees that could be served at a 5-star restaurant. I could truly go on and on about how wonderful it was to work with Jeanne and the staff at Gourmet Caterers. Choosing Gourmet Caterers was hands-down the best decision we made, I truly can not recommend enough! Thank you for making our day absolutely perfect!

The best!!!

Gourmet Caterers catered our wedding at the JFK Presidential Library in September 2019. They were incredible every step of the way, and Courtney was amazing at coordinating even the finest details to ensure we had our dream wedding. She was so helpful throughout our wedding planning process and the team was always willing to provide advice on anything wedding related…from the food, to recommending excellent vendors (lighting, music, rentals, and more!), they are true experts. Jeanne and Courtney helped us create a great menu for our wedding, and the food and service was amazing. The team made sure that come our wedding day, we were able to sit back and relax, just focusing on family/friends and celebrating! We can't thank Courtney and co enough and would recommend them to anyone considering them for their wedding or any event. THANK YOU Gourmet!!!

Gourmet was perfect!

Gourmet was *awesome* to work with. We were late in planning and felt like we were on a super short timeline, but Courtney, Jeanne, and the rest of the team assured us everything would be fine and we wouldn't have to worry about a thing. True to their word, everything went off without a hitch. The guests raved about the food (including a pair of people who had a number of dietary restrictions who said it was the best they've ever been taken care of) and we got to enjoy the day to its fullest.

They were proactive in planning, incorporated our feedback, and helped out in countless unexpected ways. It was truly a joy to work with them!

Love Gourmet - Highly recommend to all!

Gourmet Caterers catered our wedding at the Artists for Humanity Epicenter in February 2020. They were incredible every step of the way. From the first call I had with Jeanne I hoped we would be able to work together. She was so helpful throughout our wedding planning process, she even went out of her way to suggest a wedding venue that might fit our budget better. Gourmet is really so much more than a catering company, Jeanne and her team were always willing to provide guidance on anything wedding related - from the band we chose to the seating layout to the flow of the overall event. They are experts in their field and know everyone in the Boston wedding circuit. They helped us design a great menu for our wedding, and the food and service was exceptional. We loved the menu tasting at their offices a few months before the wedding, and had so many guests comment on how great the food was at our wedding. We felt relaxed on our wedding day knowing that they had everything under control! We can't thank them enough and would recommend them to anyone considering them for their wedding or any event. I hope to be a guest at a Gourmet wedding in the future so I can experience this all again!

Best food & extremely flexible

I was nervous when the venue I booked had a designated caterer. I had a clear vision of what I wanted and Gourmet did not disappoint. They worked with me to set up a station style dinner, with a taco stand, slider station and even Moroccan station. They went above and beyond with my request for ice cream sandwiches, AND they partnered with Union Square Donuts for some extra desserts. Working with them was so much fun. My guests are still telling us how much they loved the food!

Fantastically Flawless Food

Gourmet Caterers provided the bar, food service, and set up for our wedding reception at Peabody Essex Museum, and we could not have asked for a more perfect team. Having worked in the food/catering industry myself it is hard to let go and allow someone else to be in charge and execute an event. Without Gourmet, Courtney and Jeanne, I would not have been able to let go and enjoy my wedding as much as I did. From our first initial meetings right up to the end, they were listening and paying attention to the vision for our day. Gourmet was flexible, adjusting menu items to our tastes and preferences, even creating some mini pies for us, instead of the traditional wedding cake. After many back and forth conversations on the phone and via email, we were so thrilled at the tasting that the food was as we envisioned, and tasted even better. From the tasting to our wedding day, I could not wait for the delicious meal that we would get to eat and share with our wedding guests, and again it did not disappoint. Every detail was taken care of and for that I am truly grateful, as we would not have been able to let go and simply enjoy our wedding reception as much as we did. Our guests told us how wonderful the food looked, tasted, and how seamlessly flawless the service was. We can’t thank Courtney enough for being a key part of our team from the very beginning!

Gourmet Caterers recently catered my daughter's wedding at Elm Bank in Wellesley. They did a great job especially Jeanne Spence who was incredible with every detail. The food was delicious and people are still raving about it. I highly recommend Gourmet Caterers for your next event.

Gourmet did the catering, bar service and furniture setup/planning aspects of our wedding at the JFK Library. We could not have imagined a more perfect day and a huge part of that is due to the quality of service provided by the Gourmet team and the library (especially Jeanne Spence!!). Jeanne and Courtney worked with us to design the room, find vendors and organize the day-of schedule. On the day of, the execution was seamless and Gourmet was there every step of the way, never leaving a stone unturned. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was great ! Gourmet provided dedicated servers to my husband and I (Lisa is awesome!!) and also parents of the bride/groom to ensure we had everything we needed! We are so lucky to have worked with Jeanne, and the gourmet team for this big life event.

Delectable. Memorable. Creative. Exciting. Delicious
Jeanne Spence and her team at Gourmet Caterers created a memorable and truly special five course meal with wine pairings for our wedding reception. This was NOT your regular old wedding chicken!
My husband and I are foodies so naturally we wanted our wedding meal to be unforgettable and special for our guests. He is Italian and I am Puerto Rican and we wanted our cultural traditions to be present in the menu. We worked with Chef Dave to create something really special. The amuse bouche was a fried plantain, the first course was a sunchoke soup that guests are STILL talking about, the second course was a carbonara, the third course was a latin spiced filet, and the dessert course was an italian gelato with espresso beans and salted carmel. YUM! We had french service for the soup and the dessert that delighted our guests. They did an excellent job of assuring that everyone's meat was at a temperature preferred by the guest. They gave our menu to a sommelier to pick out wine pairings for each course that brought out the flavor even more. My belly is happy just thinking about it.
Gourmet is not your average caterer.. they go above and beyond to excite the tastebuds and provide you and your guests with a memorable experience. We loved working with Jeanne Spence. Her spunk, energy, attention to detail, love of weddings, love of food, honesty, and genuineness made the planning fun! She was conscious of our budget and did everything to make our vision happen within that budget. She truly cares about us as a couple and as people, and we consider her now a new friend. When all other caterers say no, Gourmet says yes. Thank you!

I had my own attendant to get me food and drinks, which was so cool! My catering director was practically a wedding coordinator, so she went above and beyond when it came to the adjusting the timeline, venue set up, furniture rental, etc. I even saw one waiter pull some debris out of the pool (head of a flower, a fly), just to make the place look a little more perfect. They mopped up every spill on the dance floor - just phenomenal service all around.
By the way, the price is just an approximation.

We cannot say enough positive things about Gourmet Caterers, or Jeanne Spence as a wedding planner. Our family has worked with Gourmet Caterers personally and professionally for more than 20 years, so when my fiancé and I got engaged they were our first call. Given our past experiences with Gourmet, our expectations were extremely high -- and Gourmet significantly exceeded every one of these high expectations. Gourmet was the first and most important vendor we worked from start to finish.

Gourmet's catering service and experience was top notch. Our guests are still raving that the food at our wedding was the best they've every had. From the specialty cocktails to the passed appetizers to the dinner and dessert - every item was divine and every detail covered. Gourmet is the type of caterer that doesn't just deliver exceptional food (which they do), they pay attention to every detail that truly makes your wedding an exceptional experience for your guests from start to finish, from flow to service to professionalism.

Jeanne Spence is one of the best in the industry. She is so organized and professional - with so many contacts, connections in the industry to truly put on a best in class event. Our wedding had many logistical challenges - on Cape Cod at my parents home - and she coordinated, managed, and delivered on every aspect - including managing several all vendor site visits/meetings. She is an absolute pleasure to work with, both for me as the bride and for my entire family, and a joy to be with on my wedding day. She executed our vision while making it better as we moved through the planning process. Having Jeanne by my side made me (and my mom/entire family!) feel comfortable and confident throughout our year of planning and absolutely on our wedding day - and every detail was executed to a T. If you are a bride looking to plan and execute your perfect dream wedding - I recommend you run, not walk to Jeanne and Gourmet to have by your side.

We were not able to do a tasting previous to the wedding, but all fears were put to rest on the wedding day as every guest complimented and raved about the food. Gourmet went with the rather unique choices we had and they were thoroughly professional and friendly about it. Highly recommended to anyone looking for the perfect caterer.

The food at my wedding was so delicious and on point that my guests are still talking about it! By far the best decision we made by going with Gourmet Catering! Jeanne is amazing and accommodating, and 100% stands behind this company and for good reason-the quality and professionalism was beyond my expectations. Christine was my event coordinator the day of my wedding, and she was so sweet and funny and so helpful-I was very happy to have there! Overall, Jeanne and Christine put my mind at ease and worked with me to provide exactly what I wanted for my special day, from cookies and cider to a totally dynamic dinner buffet! Don't let the exterior of their building fool you - this company is amazing. Our first wedding, and not knowing what to expect, Jeanne Spence took us by the hands and guided us through the process step by step. She was in touch with each of the vendors, knew most of them, and worked together to create a wonderful event.

The chef is extremely talented, the food delicious, and the presentation extraordinary. During the tasting process, they welcomed comments, made adjustments, and the corrections were just what we had hoped. If they had strong opinions regarding our selections, they were voiced, but not forced. They know what they are talking about and were eager to work with us to create an event for us not for them. I won't hesitate to contact them again for an event big or small. Truly professional and easy to work with.

Words are seriously not enough to express how wonderful and amazing Gourmet Caterers were! We hired them to cater for our wedding in July, and I have to say BEST DECISION EVER!!! Jeanne was fabulous. She has so much experience in the business and was able to help me plan every aspect of the wedding. We had a delicious tasting with them, and I knew the food was going to be wonderful at our wedding. She responded to us in a very timely fashion and was just excellent in every way possible. She was there till the end of the wedding when we all got on the bus and left. Her staff was amazing and wonderful, the bartenders were great and our personal waitress Lisa was FABULOUS!!!! Seriously we loved Lisa! So nice, and attentive! I didn't have to to go the bar at all because she was so attentive to us. As for Jeanne, its best captured by what my mom said "Jeanne was a genie! She just had a magical way of making things happen". I absolutely loved everyone from Gourmet and wish I could hire them to cater all the important events of my life!!!

Wow! I cannot say enough GREAT things about Gourmet Caterers, but more specifically Jeanne Spence. She is amazing. Once we had our tasting, we had no doubt that every aspect of the culinary side of things would be flawless (and it was!) - But, it was the meeting, and continued correspondence with Jeanne that let us know that everything was not only going to be good, it was going to be amazing. She stands behind an amazing product (did I mention the food was delicious?), and has been in the business long enough to know every trick, detail, and aspect of a great wedding. She knows her stuff, and knows exactly what to do to make the entire wedding planning process as stress free for brides as possible. I was always able to get in touch with her, and always got a timely response to emails, phone calls etc... In addition to the planning leading up to the wedding - the staff that Jeanne and Gourmet provided for our wedding was incredible. They were so professional, unobtrusive, helpful, and friendly. We were just so pleased with the way everything went on our wedding day! To be honest, I am really not sure I would have been able to pull it off without Jeanne and Gourmet. I am forever grateful! Choosing Gourmet is a no-brainer, and being able to work with Jeanne and her team is the icing on the yummy cake!

These guys are awesome! From start to finish working with them was really a pleasure. Our whole team was friendly and accommodating; they were so flexible and creative and came up with great food. The food at our wedding was flat out amazing. People are still talking about how good everything was. The presentation of the appetizers and meals were first class and it tasted first class as well. From the first email we received from Susan Davis at Gourmet Caterers, we knew we wanted them to cater our wedding. She took the time to send a personal response when most other companies sent a generic automatic reply. From that initial email right up thru the wedding day, Susan couldn't have been more helpful! She helped us plan an amazing menu! I cannot even begin to describe how delicious everything was. She wowed us at the tasting, but it didn't even compare to how everything turned out on our wedding day. Our guests absolutely raved about the food! They could not get over all of the passed appetizers! They just kept on coming.

The thing I loved most about this company is that Susan was with us all the way. She was there on our wedding day making sure that everything was perfect. She worked so well with our venue (The Milton Hoosic Club) and the club manager there. I knew that we were in good hands. I really cannot say enough good things about Gourmet Caterers. Susan really was the best!

The food is delicious!

The chefs were incredibly flexible with mixing and matching plates to make exactly what we envisioned.

Come the day of the wedding, after the ceremony we immediately had a server by our side getting us anything we needed. The staff was phenomenally organized and well equipped. I didn't even notice them as they swept through the room and in no time had the plates cleared, the dessert out, etc.

They really made the night amazing.

All I can say is WOW!!! Due to circumstances beyond our control, our original wedding location filed bankruptcy, locked the doors, and kept our money, one week before our wedding day!! Bob Wiggins, the owner of Gourmet Caterers, heard the horrible news, and wanted to help. This wonderful man DONATED his catering services for my newly located backyard wedding. What a heart!!! If your reading this, you may be looking to hire a caterer. Rest assured, that you've found one owned by a man with compassion. It's so nice to know that there are still good people out there! And the food you ask??? That almost can go unsaid...I've been told over and over by my guests, that is was the best food they've ever had at any event. Even myself, as the bride, ate my ENTIRE meal. What bride even eats at all that day?! Gourmet Caterers even ordered a fish plate that I requested , that wasn't even on the menu. I can go on and on about this company. They are the real deal! : )

Gourmet Caterers did a fabulous job with our wedding!! They were a pleasure to work with, from our very first meeting, our tasting, and subsequent meetings before the event, they were exceptional. Most importantly, the care and attention they put into our wedding was unbelievable. They made sure every detail was absolutely perfect.
The food was all delicious!! We decided to have food stations, rather than the typical plated dinner, and Gourmet Caterers came up with some wonderful ideas of what to serve. Each station was put together so well and the food was great! We continue to get compliments from our guests about how good the food was.
We are so pleased with everything Gourmet Caterers did for our event, and I would highly recommend them.

Gourmet Caterers did our wedding at the amazing Artists for Humanity EpiCenter on February 7, 2015 between Boston blizzards. The catering manager was Jeanne Spence and she did a phenomenal job representing GC from start to finish. Jeanne and GC made me feel very at ease and in good hands throughout the entire process. The tasting and the food execution was delicious and everyone at the wedding reception raved about how much they loved the food and feasted on the stations. We did tapas, pasta and a custom taco bar. The presentation and quality of the food along with the servers and bartenders is top notch and I have nothing other than praise for Jeanne, the chefs and all the service staff who helped create the most memorable day of my life.

I also used Jeanne as our day of planner and it is money well spent. She's on the ball with every respect and does her job with expertise and grace. I think I would have been very stressed out if it weren't for her.

I would highly recommend Gourmet Caterers for any catering needs and if you get to work with Jeanne then you will have nothing to worry to about. She is attentive, detail-oriented, and a wonderful professional who knows how to orchestrate and coordinate your event.

INCREDIBLE!! We used Gourmet as the caterers for our wedding in September and am so so glad we did. Our venue had a list of about 15 caterers that we could choose from and we ended up narrowing it down to Gourmet and another caterer - a more well known name that had been recommended and I had already fallen in love with.. and was 90% sure we would use. But my fiance insisted that we do our due diligence before we chose. So when our parents were in town one weekend, we did tastings with both caterers - and I was pleasantly surprised when all 6 of us unanimously agreed that Gourmet's food was exponentially better (and this was before we told our parents that Gourmet was the cheaper of the two options)!
Susan was an absolute pleasure to work with and we had complete trust in her the entire time. She answered all of my emails (and there were a lot) quickly and thoroughly... which I learned is the best thing when it comes to a wedding vendor. And even had us come in for an amazing lunch a month or two before the wedding where we finalized the details and reassessed some of original choices. She customized the menu to our foodie taste that the food felt so personal.
On the day, our guests were RAVING about the food! We definitely have high standards when it comes to food - and it was beyond our expectations. Everyone says that the bride and groom don't actually eat at their wedding - but we definitely ate. My steak-loving husband even ordered an extra plate of the vegetarian option!
The night went so smoothly - if there were any hiccups, we never knew about it - and Susan timed everything that there was plenty of time for speeches and lots and lots of dancing. She accommodated last minute requests to add a seat and move a table and even made sure that the two of us had some alone time in a private room with champagne and snacks so we could soak it all in. I can't say enough incredible things about Susan and Gourmet Caterers and HIGHLY recommend them!

Gourmet Caterers offered such high quality food. We have heard the most positive feedback from our guests about the food from cocktail hour and the reception. It was phenomenal and we HIGHLY recommend using Gourmet Caterers!

Gourmet Caterers was the best decision for our wedding day! Everyone LOVED the food, and is still raving about it. They did an amazing job setting up our menus with us and the food came out amazing. We are very happy with them and would definitely recommend them to anyone!

GC Delivered

We contracted with Gourmet as the exclusive caterer of Peabody Essex Museum (PEM), the venue for our May 2025 wedding. They really delivered, providing a high level of service (for instance: lots of complimentary champagne :D), excellent food that our guests loved, and great cocktails (including the signature cocktails we developed with them). They were highly professional and great to work with. Especially regarding PEM as the venue: they knew exactly what to do without needing any instruction and made our lives extremely easy. Working with them was a stress-free wedding experience and we couldn't be more thankful!

Delicious Food--our guests were blown away

Jeanne, Courtney and the Gourmet Team blew our guests away with the quality of their food. As we desired, the appetizers were really special. The dinner was spectacular, with a really high quality first course in addition to delicious mains. They have a team which is able to bring a portable commercial kitchen to the venue and make it on site. This is key to having high quality good: it is made fresh and close to the plates, rather than made ahead of time and kept warm.

Equally important, they were patient in guiding we who were novices with regards weddings. They were a pleasure to work with.

Their staff is important to the experience on the day of the event, and they were superb.

Gourmet was so on top of things, there wasn't any room for me to worry if anything was left out. Our ceremony was supposed to be outdoors, but since it was going to rain, they decided to hold it indoors at the venue. The transition between changing the main room from a ceremony set up to round, set tables was so seamless, I didn't even realize it had happened. There were a few times during the wedding when I saw the coordinator discussing issues with staff, but I felt so confident that they would take care of things that I walked away happily.

The food was phenomenal as well. We did passed appetizers and food stations, and I wish people would have left me alone so I could eat to my heart's content! The food was better than many expensive restaurants I've been to. We were event sent off at the end of the day with a little plate of cookies.

At first it was hard to get immediate responses to my worried questions via email, but I realize now that there was no need. Gourmet really had a great handle on things, knowing what furniture the venue already had, therefore minimizing extra rentals, what linen company to use, the best silverware, everything. They decorated the station tables beautifully and tastefully as well, eliminating the need to order more floral arrangements. They really understand budgets, and know the best places to splurge and where it's ok to cut back.

You're in good hands if you choose Gourmet.

Gourmet Caterers made our wedding a hit! Our guests raved about the food at our wedding! The planning process was fantastic, they have a lot of options to choose from on their suggested menus, but more importantly they were completely flexible and were willing to create anything we thought of. Their presentation was also to die for and really helped the already fantastic food look even more beautiful! My only complaint would be that I often had to email/call a few times before I got responses during the planning phase. However, once I did get a response I had their full attention, and the week before/week of the wedding they were extremely responsive and extremely on top of everything. You will not be disappointed if you work with Gourmet!

Amazing food! And amazing service, when they respond

GC was the exclusive caterer of our Boston wedding venue. The food is amazing, their experience is deep, and the service is amazing - when they respond. We had a hard to time getting their attention between the tasting and about 2 months out from the wedding. Emails would go unanswered or we would be told that they had to work the weddings in order. It should be noted that 2022 was a record year for number of weddings, so it could have been a 2022 issue. Our planner said this was not uncommon with her brides and venues. However, starting 2 months out it was clear we had their attention and everything came together perfectly. The food and service at the wedding was amazing and many guests raved about it. They are pricey, but they are worth it.

First, the food at Gourmet Caterers is delicious. They were very gracious and worked very hard to work within our low budget (the venue forced us into a list of very upscale caterers, that we did not want or could afford). They were, however, not good at getting back to us, and we had to correct several things along the way (small mistakes were always showing up on the menu/estimate). But they were always very nice, and, I really wish I could eat the food when I wasn't trying to socialize with guests!

Gourmet caterers provided amazing food for our wedding! Our guests are raving to this day, even months after. The portion sizes were large and the food was delicious. The day of was executed very well by Vicky and her team. Each item was just as hot or cold as it was supposed to be and they even set aside a small buffet of food for my husband and I when we had a moment alone after the ceremony. Aside from the food, my husband and I were a little bit disappointed in the service. As we neared our wedding date, Jeanne (our main contact), was not as responsive by email or phone. Because of this several payment deadlines were missed and there was some confusion with rental contracts. This is a company that books a lot of engagements so it was hard to connect when we had questions or updates. Overall, we are happy that we went with Gourmet, but for what we were paying would have loved a little more attention in the end!

The food was good but I had two issues. The first one is that I provided them with the recipe for my favorite cupcakes and they made them horribly. I was truly let down and if they had warned me ahead of time that this was an area that they wouldn't be able to deliver in, I never would have made the special request. My second issue was that the bar tenders were fired towards the end of the night for bad behavior and they had to close the bars down early. Once the bars were closed, the night was sadly over.
