Made my night even better

I have nothing bad to say. The DJ we has was amazing. Everyone had a wonderful time with all the different styles of music that was played. I would definitely hire this company again

Wedding reception

David was wonderful to work with!!!! He played an excellent variety of music and seemed to know exactly what the crowd wanted without even asking! We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ!!! Good Vibrations provided DJ services for our wedding and now for our son/daughter in law!

Excellent group to work with

We chose Good Vibrations very late, about 3 months before the wedding and were concerned that the lower price meant that we would be getting an untrained/unprofessional DJ. We were very wrong about this. The DJ was professional and knew very well what he was doing with song selection. He was very accommodating with last-minute changes to the schedule as well as being very knowledgable with making extra song suggestions.

Good Vibrations is Incredible!

Dave was the DJ for our recent wedding ceremony and reception on 6.26.2021. He was incredible, and I would highly recommend him to anyone! The dance floor was packed the entire night thanks to him! He introduced everyone in our large bridal party correctly, and played all the right songs we discussed before the wedding. I wouldn’t change a thing about the experience we had with Good Vibrations. Dave is also a very kind and pleasant person to be around, and very fun to work with. He even gave us a cd with all of our special songs on it, which I thought was such an amazing personal touch. Everyone had a blast thanks to Dave! There was not one moment where our dance floor wasn’t packed. We had the most incredible experience with him as our DJ. We got compliments on the fun dance floor Dave created all night, and have memories to last a lifetime thanks to him.

Awesome DJ!!!

This was the first time My Wife and I ever had to hire a DJ. We chose Good Viberations for Our Wedding bc just after speaking to Dave over the phone, we could tell he was the one. Dave made our experience literally a walk in the park! He's Extremely polite, professional, and he knows his music very well! His Experience allows him to Just know the perfect songs to play for the moment! During our consultation he covered things we had not put any thought into, witch we was Extremely thankful for! Even helped out tremendously with coronation during our ceremony and reception! He will 100% be my Number 1 Go-to Dj for any future events we host!

Excellent!

Good Vibrations DJ'd our wedding this last weekend and it went perfect! He was FANTASTIC with the pre-meeting, helping us figure out the order of the wedding and find the songs that we needed as well as suggesting some songs when we weren't sure. Additionally, since we are in Ohio and have COVID restrictions he worked with us to help call a bingo game rather than dancing and it turned out wonderful! We are super happy with their work and would highly recommend them to everyone!

The best you could ask for and more!

Dave did an AMAZING job with our wedding! I didn't have to worry about ANYTHING! DEFINITELY a master of ceremonies! Very professional, listened to what we wanted and didn't want. You can tell he loves what he does!! Covid didn't slow anything down! Would highly recommend! :)

Very accommodating!

I highly recommend Good Vibrations! Dave was very accommodating considering it was very short notice. When we went in to discuss everything he was very knowledgeable and helped us decide on what songs to make our day perfect. Shannon was very professional and helpful the day of the ceremony and did a great job. We ended up cutting a few things out last minute and adding others and it was not an issue. Great pricing and friendly professionals!

Beyond amazing!

Good Vibrations recently DJ’d our wedding and we were very impressed! The owner Dave was very helpful in helping us decide on music for the wedding and the DJ we had for the night was amazing! We had a bit of a hiccup due to weather and the DJ was amazing at redirecting people for the ceremony! We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ company on our big day! We would highly recommend!

Best Wedding DJ!

We hired Good Vibrations for our wedding, and they did amazing! They kept it professional, really listened to what you wanted and did not want played, and was very organized! I had multiple guests who came up to me and told me how great the music was! Would definitely recommend!

Great value for great service!

With weddings there are always snafus. But even through those, Dave acted in a very professional and calm manner keeping myself and my husband calm. With many years of experience Dave also worked well to keep the reception going. With Good Vibrations you’re not just hiring a DJ, but a wedding coordinator!

Good Vibrations was awesome!

Dave was awesome to work with! He was very flexible in the times he could meet up before the wedding. He had all of the songs I wanted played, and helped me select songs that I couldn't decide on for certain dances. When setting up he took an extra step and added some lights to our picture backdrop we had set up right by his equipment, which made it look even better! He did an excellent job with the music at the reception and kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night! He was perfect!! I highly recommend Good Vibrations!

Mark DJ's our beautiful wedding on a farm in Delaware, OH. He even did the music for the ceremony, as well. It could not have been more perfect. If you want a fun reception, with music that people of ALL ages LOVE, choose Good Vibrations!

Dave Marquette was absolutely wonderful to work with and did a fantastic job on our wedding music. He was incredibly professional, friendly, and accommodating. He even hunted down and purchased a few dozen uncommon foreign songs that we wanted to be played during our reception. We had a diverse group of guests and he managed to keep everyone happy and the party going strong! I would highly recommend Good Vibrations DJ Service.

We booked Good Vibrations almost 2 years before our wedding. Dave was great! We found out early on our conversation He was the DJ for my high school dances, and I remember he kept the party going. He worked with us every step of the way from song suggestions to timeline help. He was our DJ the night of our wedding, and he kept everyone on the dance floor playing everyone's favorites. Very affordable compared to some of the "big names", but just as professional and kept the party going just as well as he did for the high school dances. I highly recommend Dave for any event you may have!

Our DJ Mark was great! He was very accommodating to our needs and he was very flexible. He did a great job of working the crowd. He made sure everything went exactly how we wanted it, it was such a weight off our shoulders to know we had a great DJ working our reception. With Good Vibrations, you can rest easy knowing you're reception will be great!

Very good job had everything planned out very well. Was early to wedding had everything set up on time and even when 95 % of guest was gone they still was playing music Chris and dave are very good at what they did.very reasonable on price

Dave was amazing. He was so informative and helpful during the planning process and set up. He was also very passionate about what he does. He was very kind and took the time to talk to me even when he was getting off of work. I was also impressed that after not talking in a while, he remembered me. My husband and I loved working with him. He offered great song suggestions and made sure he had every song we wanted before confirming that he would play it, and he even allowed us to play music, he didn't have if we brought it. The DJ we had wasn't Dave, but he was wonderful, too. He was a great communicator, and we could tell he wanted everything to run smoothly for us. We had an odd reception and sometimes our caterer got behind like they didn't get the drinks for the toast out on time, but our DJ played it out very smoothly by making sure everyone at least refilled their glasses with more to drink. I highly recommend Good Vibrations. They offer excellent customer service, great music, and employ wonderful DJs all for a low price.

I want to start with a story of our wedding ceremony. Good Vibrations DJ did an awesome job, in harsh weather conditions. The wedding ceremony was outside, and a heavy thunderstorm came through about 10 minutes into it. The guests ran for a nearby tent that was still in viewing distance, but DJ Dave Marquette, who has decades of experience, threw a tarp over his electronics and told the Pastor to keep it going. We are so grateful for your service Dave!

With all the years of experience, he has plenty of equipment, and brings back-up items to the wedding to ensure the party keeps going. We had three separate speaker systems setup, so there was no need for him to move his setup when transitioning from the ceremony to the reception.

We contacted many different DJ services, and he was the lowest cost we could find. He did a perfect job during the reception with the flow from cocktail hour to bridal party introduction, dinner, toasts, first dances, and open dancing. The dance floor was crowded the whole time after dinner to the end of the night. He knows how to rock the party. I’d definitely recommend him, especially for an outdoor wedding. He isn’t afraid of rain ruining his equipment.

Dave did an awesome job at our wedding anniversary party. He played the music we wanted to hear and everyone had a great time. I would recommend him for any event that you need a DJ.

We had Dave as our DJ for our wedding at Wright Patterson AFB. Our first meeting went great and he spent a considerable amount of time getting to know myself and my husband. He suggested songs and had everything we were looking for. He was by far the most well priced person we talked to. Dave was also knowledgable about requirements for the AFB and he had worked that location many times so he was also familiar with the setup. On the day of the wedding Dave was one of the first to arrive and he, in my opinion, went above and beyond his duties as a DJ because he took care of things I felt our wedding coordinator should have, but she did not.

Dave is truly invested in what he does. He will make awesome song suggestions, do anything he can to help out, and he is prepared for everything. The price can't compare to others for the service you would receive.

Dave did an outstanding job as the DJ for my daughters wedding reception. He had a distance to drive but was there early enough to be set up and ready to go prior to guest arrivals. Dave is easy to talk to and easy to work with. His years of experience show in his ability to be able to keep the entertainment flowing. He plays the right mix of music to entertain all ages and the sound quality was fantastic. We heard only great comments from our guests and it is so true that you need a great DJ and that is what we had with Dave. As the MOB, when you hear the bride and groom say that the DJ was just perfect, well you know you hit the nail on the head. Very reasonably priced too. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend Good Vibrations Mobile DJ Service.

Wonderful people to work with. Our DJ played only the music we wanted while still taking requests without playing anything that would make us unhappy. He made sure that all were engaged through the whole reception and that things went smoothly. Great quality work for a great price - plus they had all the hit music too. We had a couple weird song requests and they pulled through!

Dave was awesome! He is super friendly and very helpful. He was able to answer all of our questions and if he didn't know the answer, he would look it up and be back on the phone with me within the hour. His rates are affordable. We didn't go with a packaged deal and it made things easier in the long run...we only went with the bare minimum and things turned out perfect. There is ONE thing I might have changed looking back, he doesn't hold contracts. You can ask to do so and he would oblige but we didn't and it kinda bit us alil later on. Just a small communication issue.

Dave did a great job at our wedding! during or consultation he recommended wireless microphones for our outside wedding...great idea seeing as no one would have been able to hear our ceremony without them! the music for the reception kept everyone engaged and having the time of their lives...we could not have asked for a better time! Love, love, love them! Great customer service, very professional. The have dj'd at my graduation party and my wedding and several other family events. Would highly recommend! I will always use them for DJ services.

This DJ service is one of the best !!! They do all the school dances around the are and weddings!! So many of our guests were complimenting us on the music and flow of the wedding! I don't think there was a single moment where people weren't dancing. They were even commenting on Facebook about how it was the best playlist! I recommend good vibrations. They care about YOUR day and will help make it perfect and customize it to you and your guests!!!

Good vibrations did my high school proms 10 years ago, they did such a fantastic job I hired them for wedding 3 years ago. They did great then too! Then my high school reunion committee hired them again for our 10 year reunion this summer at The Marriott of Dayton. They rocked the house so much that we had complete strangers from a wedding across the hall leave the party to come dance the night away at our reunion! Dave and his Djs are the best for all events as you can see! :)

Had a GREAT experience with our DJ - had an amazing group of dancers all-reception-long after that first dance. The dinner music was beautiful, took all of my thoughts and wishes into consideration for selections, and the DJ announced our rather difficult last names perfectly, couldn't have been happier! Dave Marquette (owner) did a fabulous job, once again - he worked at both of our daughter's wedding receptions - the first in 2010 and now this one in 2013. My daughter requested unusual songs which he acquired and played. He plays only music with non-offensive lyrics and never songs about breaking up. He makes certain he does not play songs which may be unpleasant for personal reasons. His interview is thorough so that he only plays music which the couple and their families desire (although he will give his professional opinion as to what will work and what will not). He plays a wide variety of styles from a wide range of years. He has backup equipment in case of any failure. He is always "on top" of the flow of the evening from Bride & Father dance, to cake cutting, to departure; no uncomfortable gaps. He arrives well ahead of time to set-up. I can't say anything negative about him or his company - they are top-rate! You would be so happy to have him at your reception. His music is for young and old and the dance floor is always crowded! Three couples thanked us for choosing such a great company because he played music they could dance to! The kids LIKE the classic songs and even sing the lyrics while all dancing together! Everyone has a blast!

Dave was a fantastic DJ! We actually had to extend our reception because he kept people dancing the night away! He was courteous and responsive to all of our requests, and he was great in front of a crowd! He didn't do too much (to steal the show), but he didn't sit back and let there be any lulls, either. He knew exactly how to get people dancing and really made our wedding reception memorable!

Dave's service was amazing. He is friendly, organized, self motivated and an all around good guy. The music, the lights, a little comedy to break the nervous tension - Dave was wonderful and very reasonable. The package that we received couldn't have compared to the other vendors in our area! Dave is the owner of Good Vibrations DJ Service and we loved him! We could not have asked for a better DJ!!! We also had Karaoke available for our guests! Dave made the reception what it was and it was awesome! I had so many great comments about him! He is very reasonable with his prices, he's one of the most inexpensive DJ's I found! We were able to go watch him work before we signed! He does Karaoke for a mexican place in Urbana on Wednesday nights! Our event center recommended him and we thank them for that!

Dave Marquette, was an excellent DJ for our September wedding. He was able to keep everyone on the dance floor. Received several comments that he was very good. One thing the music got a little to loud and had to tell him to turn it down a little. Overall, we would recommend him to our family and friends for their weddings or special occasions.

Dave the owner was just so AWSOME to work with! He gave me and my nubby to be help and sugestons on songs that we didnt even think about. I also like how we got a CD with all the song's from the wedding that were played while pepole wated and then the songs we chose as the wedding party walked down the isle even wright down to the songs we pikced as our fist dance and mother/son Daugher/Father and so on. It was a nice keep sake and it was a good one. I would use Good Vibrations for any other Dj needs we may have down the road. =)

Good Vibrations was absolutely AMAZING! Dave (owner) was very easy to work with and very friendly! Chris (DJ for our wedding reception) was awesome! Very accommodating and easy going. He kept the party going all night! He was very attentive to make sure everything ran smoothly and was awesome at communicating with us all night to make sure things were going well! Not to mention you cannot beat the price! Good Vibrations is definitely worth the money! Highly, highly, highly recommend using them for your entertainment services!

DJ Dave Marquette (owner) was great to work with. He was thorough in providing the details of his service and expectations for both sides when I booked him 5 months in advance. At that time he required a deposit of $100 which applied to the total costs. About a month before the wedding, we met with Dave and discussed our playlists and the flow of the reception. He was good at providing suggestions but also letting us ultimately decide things. Fortunately, our taste in music was similar to his, so the reception playlists went smoothly.
For a small fee, Dave provided the ceremonial music. My only issue at that time is that he announced for everyone to rise for the bridal party instead of letting the minister do his thing, but that is a small infraction. At the reception, all the music went smoothly. Dave might have been slightly pushy about getting certain events to occur at a certain time, but I guess that comes from working in the business for 30-some years (i.e., the guy knows what he's doing). For dancing, the music selection was great. He played our "must haves" and did a great job filling in the rest. I was a dancing machine that night ;) About an hour before our before our time was up, he asked me if I wanted to keep going (yes, of course!) and he did so without a hitch. Also, in the middle of the ceremony, I wanted to play and sing a song for my wife and he gladly accommodated me.
Overall, Dave is a great DJ and his service is a good value. He has quite the experience for weddings, parties, etc. and definitely takes pride in his work. I would definitely recommend his services.

Dave Marquette was our D.J. I had a D.J. that backed out 2 weeks before my wedding, needless to say I didn't budget for another D.J. he was more expensive than the first, but it was well worth it. he was very kind to us, did everything we asked of him. Was not a showman, which is not what I wanted .He was very professional, Played a great variety of music, read the crowd very well. Would highly recommend Good vibrations to anyone looking for a D.J. for their wedding or any other events.

Dave was fun to work with. He was very helpful in picking out songs for different events, or at least recommending the type of song that should be played during each part of the reception (and wedding ceremony). You get a lot for a great price!

Extremely friendly and accommodating. We met with Dave for the consultation but had a different DJ for the reception. It was nice to work with people who had lots of years of experience with weddings and were well versed on what to do. They helped the entrances, speeches, first dances, etc. flow very well. We found that people were up and dancing in no time and they were very flexible and willing to take request. Our DJ communicated during the wedding to make sure we were happy. Overall they did great preparations before the wedding, helped things flow smoothly and communicated during the reception, and made sure everyone could dance and have a good time.

I enjoyed working with this DJ. He invited me to observe an event he was the DJ for at my same location and was flexibility in his availability to meet to pick out a songs. Dave was always very personable and flexible. My only complaint was he accidentally played a song I asked him not to, although once he realized it he quickly apologized and corrected his mistake. Overall he did a great job though and was a great price. I would definitely use him again.

We discovered Good Vibrations through Wedding Wire and thought "Well, this looks like a good deal." The price of Good Vibrations was one that could not be beat. We contacted DJ Dave and received a good vibration from his upbeat spirit. Our initial meeting took place in Springfield at a Long John Silvers. Do not let this fool you; the meeting went very well and their flexibility to let us pick our own songs was the biggest perk.

Jump to wedding day - our DJ for the wedding reception was...okay. He was delayed in introducing the wedding party. While eating dinner, he starting playing our first song. I, then had to rush the stage and tell him this. His response was "I was just playing what was on the list given to me." Other than those mishaps, the music sounded great, and everyone was on their feet dancing the night away.

Overall, Good Vibrations was the best bang for the buck. However, the DJ we had was a not in sync with the rest of the wedding reception events. We did enjoy the cameo of DJ Dave though...and that was awesome.

Dave is the owner and he is great. We sat down with him and discussed every song we wanted and the order we wanted things. We even gave him cds to play that he didn't have (mostly Christian stuff). The DJ we had was Mark and he did a great job involving the crowd. He kept exactly to our play lists like we hoped and kept the event moving well. Because this buisness is located about an hour from Columbus, they charge a lot less than djs in Columbus but will travel.

Nightmare DJ

I couldn’t wait to leave this review. The price is decent, I have to admit, but the discount price will get you a discount DJ. Where do I start with Dave? He was the DJ for our wedding and was given a minute by minute itinerary almost to the level of if he hit play on the playlist it couldn’t possibly go wrong. We did 90% of the DJing for him. He was nothing but helpful and polite over the phone but it was black and white from in person Dave. He was rude to guests, rude to the family, played the same songs back to back on multiple occasions, parked his van in the middle of the ceremony location (had to be asked to move as if it wasn’t a given that he couldn’t park there), me (the groom), some groomsmen, and the brides grandfather had to assist in setting up because Dave was adamant there was no way he could do it in the location we requested (we did it with no issues) and the cherry on top (cannot make this up) he stopped the bride as she was about to walk down the isle to tell her he couldn’t find a song we requested. I’ll give it to him we did change songs and only gave him 4 days to find it and let us know if there was a problem. An absolutely horrendous showing from Dave and Good Vibrations. I wish I could give 0 stars. If you want your event to go smooth I suggest staying far far away from good vibrations.

Would not recommend

Being part of the bridal party for a recent wedding.. very disappointed in the presentation. He was very unorganized and made a night to remember a night we hope the guests don’t talk about

Unhappy and disappointed

Very disappointed. Would not recommend. Owner initially seemed very professional and eager to please. Our wedding day came and nothing was right. Songs were wrong, the order of events were wrong, entrances were wrong, he appeared to have no idea what was going on despite the notes and resources I gave him and the help of our photographers.

Dave, the owner was my DJ this year on August 11th. It was easily the worst part of my wedding. While he was professional and understanding in our meetings leading up to the wedding he was a disaster the day of and here is why:
1. He played the wrong version of the song for my first dance.... I ended up dancing to Nelly, it was supposed to be a country song by Thomas Rhett that is special to my husband and I.
2. I specifically asked that there be no country music except during dinner and for that to be interspersed with Beatles, he played neither during dinner and A LOT of country through out the night.
3. I gave him specific instructions on the game we were playing during the reception, he tried to have us play the shoe game
4. He scolded a table (of our immediate family) because they stood up to go get food before he called them over the microphone. It was extremely unprofessional and rude.
5. He told my husband he was going to charge him because we did not provide a table in the reception area, even though we had met with him on multiple occasions for hours at a time leading up to the wedding and there was no mention of him not providing his own table
6. He was 20 minutes late, and never called.
7. He played 6 line dances in a row..... 6. For example, the electric slide immediately prior to the electric slide remix
8. No one could hear him, he was advised of this, and did nothing
That's all I have right off hand, but needless to say, if he had his way my wedding day would have been ruined.
If you have any sense, you will not hire this man. You go into your appointments and get this spiel on how great he is, it is no better than dealing with a slimy used car dealer.
