I could gush endlessly about our experience with Goldenwood Ensembles, and I know my review won't capture everything that made them incredible.
We hired them to play during our wedding ceremony, and I truly can't imagine working with a better group of musicians. They were incredibly professional, kind, and easy to work with leading up to the wedding and day-of; administrative details like the contract, discussion of logistical needs, and payment were crystal clear (not something I can say for other groups I reached out to). Every communication with them inspired confidence that they had their role covered, which was huge for my wife and I as we were planning the whole event ourselves.
I have a background in music composition and performance, and can say with certainty that the quality of their musicianship is absolutely excellent. Their performances during our ceremony (3 songs: wedding party processional, bride processional, and recessional) remain a beautiful core memory of the day for us and our guests. We ended up having a trio of flute, violin, and cello, which was perfect for our space, sound, and budget, though you can feel confident that whatever combination of instruments/musicians fits your needs will be masterfully brought to life by this group. Krysia and Bill provided the most beautiful guitar and flute ensemble for my daughter’s wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Krysia was extremely communicative in the months leading up to the big day, and because of that, everything went smoothly. The musical selections were beautiful and varied, and they enhanced the emotional experience of the day.Goldenwood Ensembles's reply:

Goldenwood Ensembles was an absolute dream to work with. not only for being incredibly accommodating of my somewhat nontraditional music choices and communicative every step of the way, but for delivering absolute perfection at our ceremony and cocktail hour. I still can’t believe how lucky I was to walk down the aisle to my favorite piece from Cavalleria Rusticana and live out my wedding day surrounded by such beautiful music. Krysia was so easy to work with and she helped us prepare the perfect blend of music for our ceremony. She was flexible, responsive, and helpful. We selected a flute and violin combo and it was the perfect fit. We are so grateful that Goldenwood was a part of our ceremony and loved the beautiful music they provided. Goldenwood Ensembles was absolutely wonderful! Krysia was so helpful and responsive in the planning process and offered valuable insight and advice for my ceremony and cocktail hour. Both Krysia and Dennis are incredible musicians and elevated the feel of the entire event. It felt like magic walking down the aisle and hearing their gorgeous instruments! So many of my guests commented on how much they loved the music and how fun it was having live musicians for the wedding. My parents had found and recommended Glenwood Ensembles for our ceremony and cocktail hour. They suggested that it could make for a more intimate and better flow of events, man were they right.
I remember stepping out onto the rainy covered porch and hearing Gary's Guitar playing Adele, You Make Me Feel My Love. That moment of hearing his guitar and looking out into the crowd under the tent in the rain remain one of my favorites.
They are reasonable in price for the talent they produce. I would say the best in the area for live ceremony music / cocktail hour music prices.
Accommodating the weather with the instrumentals and the specific music we wanted, Gary and team we would recommend 10/10. Its the perfect touch to make your wedding day that much better.Goldenwood Ensembles's reply:

Ben’s cello music brought a personal, elegant touch to our indoor winter wedding. He was a huge hit with the guests and he made the ceremony feel extra special and intimate. He played all of my music choices and was really great to work with. I was flattered that he liked my choice of Bach Cello Suite No. 4!Goldenwood Ensembles's reply:

This trio made my special day full and complete. Being a musician myself they picked great pieces, had a great sound, and were great to work with!
So easy to work with, especially coming from out of state. They were professional and had a wonderful, sound. The song selection were great, being a musician myself…. I was overly pleased with the feel of the intimate trio. The musicians and manager were all lovely to work with, and really cared about my wedding and me.Goldenwood Ensembles's reply:

Krysia and team did such a wonderful job at my wedding (July 2022). I received so many compliments on how the music just added to the ambience both pre- and post- ceremony! They were attentive and understood our requests. Her ensemble was perfect for our summer, outdoor wedding in Maine on the coast. It was simply majestic, right out of a Nicholas Sparks book!Goldenwood Ensembles's reply:
