Kind and Flexible

I first met Kathleen at a wedding event and her bouquets on display were absolutely perfect! I knew after talking with her that she would be the best florist for our wedding I could find.

Unfortunately the pandemic hit and we had a lot of plans changing and roller coasters of decisions. Kathleen was so communicative and accomidating to us as we began to plan a wedding in what turned out to be the hardest years of our lives. She promised she would do everything possible to make sure we had the flowers and aesthetic we wanted.

The year went on, and we then had to postpone our wedding until next year, Golden Pear was so flexible with us and the circumstances and I absolutely cannot wait to work with her in the future!!

Brought my wedding dreams to life!

Kathy blew our expectations out of the water! She was able to take my jumbled ideas and bring them to life! Easy to work with and so knowledgeable. We had so many compliments about the flowers and I couldn’t have been happier!

Amazing flowers!

Kathleen does such an amazing job, she truly has a talent with flowers! I gave her a basic idea of what we were looking for and let her to the rest. Our budget was tight and no one would have ever guessed that she made it look like we spent way more! Loved all of her personal touches! I would HIGHLY recommend working with her!

Flower arrangements were stunning!

She is an amazing find! Gorgeous flowers that looked as though we spent thousands. She loves what she does and it shows! The budget was tight but you would never have known that. Loaned us a lot of decor as well. Very happy with her and hope to use her for more events in the future. Really unbeatable at that price point!!

Amazing flowers even with a time crunch

The flowers were stunning. Better than we even imagined. We had an unexpected delay with the flowers not arriving to the venue on time because the freeway was shut down as President Trump rolled into town for the Air Force Academy graduation. In spite of the flowers arriving a day late, Kathy got everything done and done well. She works well under pressure and is very creative. Everything was beautiful!

Kathy of Golden Pear Flowers was incredible to say the least. She understood the vision, what was wanted and exceeded expectations. She worked with the budget no problem, was professional, respond timely, went above and beyond and even added extra surprises that made everything that much more special. Kathleen did the flowers for our daughter, Katie's wedding on November 18th. Our whole experience with Kathleen was awesome! She was so friendly and helpful as she met with Katie and myself and helped Katie figure out the type of arrangements/bouquets she wanted for her wedding. Kathleen was also very flexible as there were a few changes along the way with the number and kind of items we needed. When the day came, we couldn't have been more pleased with how beautiful the flowers were! We highly recommend Kathleen with Golden Pear Flowers!!

I owe what I would consider the most perfect day in my entire life to Kathy at the Golden Pear! Her talent, creativity and expertise all came together to design the most beautiful bouquets, center pieces, floral arches, corsages.....you name it!! Every last detail was perfect and specialized for me and my vision. Not only is she abaoluty talented at what she does, but her professionalism and kind soul makes her a pleasure to work with. Kathleen is AWESOME! I met with her in her home before my wedding and had some ideas, but I told her that she is the artist and she can do what she thinks would be nice! I gave her some basic colors and styles I like and let her have it. She offered me a discount for delivering a day early (because it was a holiday weekend), and the price was SO REASONABLE. I got everything I wanted and it was BELOW MY BUDGET!
In a small bride freakout, I realized I forgot my tossing bouquet and to let her know if the wedding was indoors or outdoors (indoors would be a nice church arrangement and outdoors would be a trellis arrangement). I frantically emailed her and she emailed within a couple hours with responses and solutions.
She truly is the best. She does amazing work, give her some wiggle room to make your flowers into one of a kind pieces of art. I am so happy we went with Golden Pear!

When I first visited this business, I found out that it was out of the vendor's own home. At first that made me apprehensive, but after talking to Kathleen it was clear that she was extremely professional and so welcoming! Her home is gorgeous. We had flower crowns at our wedding for the bridesmaids and she even personally delivered the flower crowns to our home on the big day, free of charge, on her way to the venue to set up. Not to mention the arrangements were exactly what we wanted. Seriously, my guests would not stop gushing about how beautiful our flowers were. Love love love!

My daughter was married in Silver Falls State Park (near Silverton, Oregon) in September. Kathy of Golden Pear Flowers prepared all of the flower arrangements for her wedding service and reception. Kathy gave excellent advise on flower choice and color. We received so many compliments on the arrangements - everyone wanted to take them home at the end of the day! We were VERY pleased.

Loved Golden Pear as the florist for our wedding in Salem. Very responsive and flexible with changes during the planning process, and brought a great vision for centerpieces and outdoor decor that I wouldn't have thought of otherwise. Everything went very smoothly day-of as well, and the flowers were PERFECT, loved my bouquet and all the arrangements and decor.

I highly recommend Kathleen as a prompt, experienced and talented designer. Kathleen was great to work with. My daughter's wedding was out of state. Kathleen did a great job at the consultation and was able to help us choose flowers that would transport but also be easy to set up at the venue. The bouquets, wrist corsages and boutonniers were mostly succulents. Everything was unique, interesting and beautiful. Kathleen's website for the Golden Pear Floral Design had helpful hints on how to prepare for the consultation and what to expect. I cannot say enough great things about Kathleen's ability to fully understand what the bride and groom's vision is (using non floral design words) and apply it to a unique design that perfectly matched their wants for the wedding.

Kathleen was amazing! The flowers were even more beautiful than I expected. My jaw dropped when I saw them. Kathleen was very knowledgeable about the kinds of flowers and foliage that would be in season and was able to easily identify things I showed her in pictures. She also worked with me to stay within my budget helping me with similar fill in flowers that were more cost-effective. We almost changed the wedding location at the last minute due to weather, and she was willing to be ready early in order to be there on time. She was very flexible. Lovely flowers I highly recommend Golden Pear!

Kathleen was superb! I met with her and provided her Pinterest photos of what I had in mind and she was able to put together such beautiful arrangements that were beyond what I could have dreamed of. We were wanting to keep the costs down, and she had great ideas/substitutes to keep everything affordable (i.e. pink garden roses instead of peonies and they look very similar!) She was also very flexible with all the little changes I kept making along the way. I would recommend The Golden Pear to anyone!

The Golden Pear exceeded my dream of what my flower arrangements would look like for my wedding. From the first consultation, Kathy listened to my ideas and when I didn't know exactly how to describe a vision or a specific flower, she knew exactly what I was envisioning. She pulled out her flower books and flipped to what she thought I had described and was spot on every time! We drew out sketches of what the room of the ceremony and reception would look like and planned the sizes and look of the flower arrangements for each section of the room. Kathy went above and beyond to meet with me whenever I asked and was always available to text about new ideas. The flowers ended up being gorgeous and I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful display. She lent me the vases to use and added touches of green color to make the arrangements even more special! I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to have met Kathy and to have worked with her on my wedding. She cares so much for everyone she works with and makes the journey so special and memorable. I will definitely work with her again for any floral needs! Thank you again, Kathy! You're a true gem!

We were so impressed with Kathy’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Since we planned our wedding long distance, we never even got to meet in person, but Kathy was wonderful about corresponding via e-mail. She worked within our budget to create elegant centerpieces that complemented the decor of our venue. We did not order bouquets, but Kathy thoughtfully created a centerpiece for our sweetheart table that would double as a bouquet for me. Kathy had provided the flowers for my sisters’ weddings several years ago, and she surprised me by hiding elements from their bouquets in my own, which was very touching. At the end of the night, many of our guests were able to go home with our beautiful flower arrangements.

Kathleen was amazing! She did over 30 centerpieces for our wedding, 6 bouquets, an arbor piece and some other flowers. our wedding day was 105 degrees and she accommodated it perfectly and had to incorporate some silk flowers which I think saved the day! Instead of just not making the arbor piece because it was hot, she made sure it looked amazing!

Kathy from Golden Pear Flowers and her team of helpers did a fabulous job with all of the flowers and decorations at my daughter’s recent wedding. I had seen Kathy’s work on many other occasions and I knew she would not disappoint us. I put all of the wedding flowers and decorations in her hands and when I walked into the venue, it was so breathtaking that it brought tears to my eyes. She’s amazing! The flowers for my wedding went beyond any of my expectations. I was concerned with the amount of money I had budgeted for my wedding. At the consultation Kathy took a lot of time and was very considerate. She had helpful and valuable ideas on how to maximize my budget. Everything from the centerpieces to the boquets were amazing. Kathy also went out of her way to give me ideas on other aspects of my wedding. My experience with Golden Pair was excellent and I highly recommend this business.

I hired Kathy at Golden Pair to make two birthday arrangements. I didn't have a specific idea of what I wanted the arrangements to look like so I left it up to her. I was amazed at how beautiful they were. Not only were they gorgeous, I loved how unique they were. The ladies that received them were surprised at how long the arrangements lasted. I felt that Kathy listened to what we wanted and put together a stunning centerpiece, in addition to several other smaller pieces that worked so well together. The flowers were mainly white, but the smaller pieces added just the right amount of color to tie everything together. Everything was beautiful!

Kathleen was WONDERFUL!!!! I know nothing about flowers so I just told her what colors I would like and a general idea of what I wanted and she came through with MAGIC!!! I was so pleasantly surprised on my wedding day to see all of the BEAUTIFUL arrangements that she had put together. I would definitely recommend her to ANYONE for any type of event!

Kathy is an amazing at what she does! I about cried when our flowers arrived. She went beyond my expectations and just blew us and our guests away with her arrangements. When we had our first meeting I had no idea what to do for the Groomsmen's boutonnières, all I knew was that all the guys hate wearing big flowers because they always seem to break at the stem or get squashed with all the hugging. I mentioned that to Kathy and she came up with a great Idea of making real simple boutonnières with green berries and green leaves. They were great!!! The guys loved them, or maybe they were just playing it smart by not upsetting the bride, but I loved them. I was probably not the easiest Bride to work with either since I had 5 different colored bouquets in my head (each Brides Maid to hold a different color). She recommended flowers, for each color pallet, and made them all look simply beautiful! My bouquet had all 5 colors, I can not even describe the feeling I had in my heart when I saw my bouquet! She even made me a special throwing bouquet so I could keep mine, it is still on display in our home and still looks stunning! I wish I could post pictures for you to see, she may still have them on her website.

I would definitely recommend Kathleen with Golden Pear Flowers for any type of event you are planning, especially Weddings!

Our wedding flowers were exquisite. Kathy of Golden Pear Flowers is an incredibly talented artist. Give her your vision and then trust her instincts to create it. You will not be sorry! We met with Kathy 5 months prior to our wedding and within 48 hours of our meeting she returned with the stem count and pricing. She made our meeting enjoyable as she offered big picture details as well as charming little touches such as giving us "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue...". When it came to our wedding day we were overwhelmed with the time and energy she poured into each bouquet and centerpiece. It truly was better than we had ever discussed or even imagined. Our guests raved about the flowers and more than one commented that they were the best flowers that they had ever seen at a wedding. We recently received our wedding photos back and we are reminded of just how stunning each piece she put together was. Kathy was a delight to work with and we look forward to our next event with Golden Pear Flowers.

Kathy at Golden Pear Floral Design is wonderful to work with. She is very professional, creative and always willing to make things work no matter how short the timeline. She has designed corsages and boutonnieres multiple times for my daughter and her friends. For such an important event in a girl's life, it's comforting to know that whatever Kathy creates is going to absolutely beautiful. Her designs definitely stand out from the rest. The flowers were beautiful. We received lots and lots of compliments from the guests and most importantly, we were very pleased with them...They helped make the wedding a beautiful event.
Kathy took the ideas generated from our consultation and provided high quality bridal party flowers, arrangements for the reception and two very large floral arrangements for the church altar.
Due to a scheduling conflict at the church, she had very little time to set up prior to the ceremony. Kathy remained calm and simply took care of business.
I have recommended several others to her for events. We were very very pleased.

The Golden Pear was amazing! We had a blend of Asian meets Farmhand meets Boho! Kathy Farmer created the perfect blend of styles to make our day one that our friends are still talking about and that we will cherish forever! Although we challenged her with our criteria, her design was elegant, unique, and still beautiful long after every guest left. She was professional and helped guide us through all of the choices and details that might have otherwise been overwhelming. We got our wedding flowers done by the Golden Pear, including boutonnieres, bouquets, and table/alter arrangements. I honestly was not sure what exactly I wanted, but had a general idea, and I showed her some photos of what I liked and didn't like. She seemed to understand completely and I felt confident that she would do a great job. She did not disappoint! She even lent us mismatched milk glass vases to house the flower arrangements for our vintage-themed wedding. She also had a jar of vintage blue buttons, one of which she allowed me to choose to have hidden in my bouquet for my "something blue". Fantastic lady, fantastic flowers, great communication. I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend!

Kathleen was great! We met with her to talk about our vision for the flowers. We did not have a clear idea at the time, but she came up with some amazing ideas based on what we said. She was very conscious of our budget, which was really nice. We told her our budget and she checked out the prices and told us what she could do within out budget. When she delivered the flowers on our wedding day they were so great! She did a great job of finding flowers that fit with our decor and feel, and arranged them just beautifully. Highly recommended.
