Madison were the absolute best...Golden Eagle Country Club gave me exactly what I wanted

I could not be more pleased with choosing Golden Eagle as our Wedding Venue. Bruce and Madison are wonderful to work with and make everything go so smoothly. They are a full-service venue and have a gigantic bridal suite and mens suite for the bridal party to get ready in. I highly recommend this venue for your wedding! The Golden Eagle Country Club was an amazing wedding venue! We thought the level of service, quality of food and constant communication helped make the ceremony and reception run smoothly and was absolutely beautiful. We loved the fact GECC is a full service venue and had everything we needed for my daughter's wedding (destination wedding). The Christmas decorations and festive ambiance really enhanced our December wedding! Madison, who was our on site contact after we booked, was very detailed, organized and kind! I appreciated her guidance, professionalism & worked tirelessly to make sure the day was perfection! Bruce, the manager, was spot on in helping us with budget, which my husband appreciated! We had the full use of the grounds and venue on our day! The outside manicured grounds and pergola, (ceremony) and veranda (cocktail hour) are stunningly beautiful.

At first glance I knew this was our destined wedding venue! The greenery, food selection, kind staff and professional consultants sold me!

Golden Eagle is so very professional with every time I have contacted and met with them! The man who works there is so personable and so very helpful. He definitely knows how to sell this venue even more! Overall great location and venue and I am so excited to have my wedding here this year!

Golden Eagle was the best choice the new husband and I could have ever made for our wedding. Jessica, Bruce, chef, and the rest of the staff were things of dreams and the best wedding “gift” ever. Jessica was very attentive to every need and helped me work through so many details. I hired her for her day of services as well which meant I had to do nothing except bring her our personalized items. The ceremony, to happy hour(cocktail hour), to reception was seamless and fun for the guests. Any question I had Jessica had an answer. Any request we found a solution. They were beyond accommodating and helpful. I simply cannot recommend them enough! Book your wedding here and you will not regret it! The highest paid complement I got was how many people commented on how “stress free” I looked. It’s becahse I had golden eagle to stress for me!

For pricing they were beyond the best priced for what you got. The venue cost included all set up and break down. It also includes all tables, linens, table top items, chairs, ceremony space, getting ready space, and more. The price of the food was very reasonable for what you got. Comparible if not cheaper than hiring a caterer. They don’t charge extra for cake cutting like many. Actually, they don’t have any hidden fees. They are very forth coming with everything. We also had our rehearsal dinner here which was amazing and amazing priced.
Just perfect priced all the way around.

We were extremely pleased with our selection of GECC as the venue for both our wedding ceremony and reception. We evaluated and toured several other locations and after meeting with Jessica Brannock, we knew GECC would meet all of our requirements. Jessica's enthusiasm, delightful personality and positive attitude had a lot to do with why we chose GECC. Also, their ability to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony overlooking the water that could be moved inside as late as the day of the wedding was very comforting and reassuring. The option to have a food tasting prior to the wedding was also much appreciated. The Chef was very accommodating and helped us select the perfect menu for our special guests. Throughout the planning, Jessica was extremely attentive and quick to respond to our various request and offered positive solutions. We were so impressed with Jessica we decided to hire her as our Day Coordinator so we had seamless transition to Bianca and her team on our wedding day. Bianca was also very courteous, resourceful and accommodating to our requests throughout our special day and well into the night. Jessica was absolutely fabulous to work with!! She made planning fun and easy through the stress. Everything ended up wonderful and way better than I could’ve imagined!

I first have to say a big huge "Thank you" to Jessica who from day one took care of us. She is so sweet and understanding. She is an absolute gem. She answered all questions and brought my level of stress to practically none. She definitely knows what she is doing. Not sure how I would have been to handle all this without her. She is very professional and caring! All this with a big smile! The place is absolutely beautiful and the wedding was all in all perfect! The food was delicious and all the staff was excellent. I also have to mention Bianca who was there for us the day of the reception. She did a fantastic job! Thank you all for making this day so very special! I even got a big hug from my daughter at the end of the day and said "thank you mommy! It was all perfect" Thanks to Jessica and her crew!

Golden Eagle is a beautiful venue, but what really makes it worth every penny is Michelle! She was so 100% on top of everything leading up to and the day of our wedding, we were truly able to relax and enjoy the day. She was very responsive to my tons of emails and was so unbelievably calm that we knew if by some chance she saw something she hadn't seen before, she'd handle it without us even knowing! The view over the lake at sunset is like no other, our photographers got some truly amazing photos - getting married at Golden Eagle was one of the best decisions we made, you will not be disappointed!

We had the most magical wedding day.
Golden Eagle is a beautiful location for a wedding. It is also very convenient and stress free. We hired Michelle to coordinate our day and it could't have gone more perfectly. Everything was so beautiful. The food was great and we had loads of fun.
Michelle always answered all my questions promptly, she took all the stress out of our big day so we could just relax and enjoy it.
I highly recommend Golden Eagle to anyone searching for their perfect wedding location.

This is a wonder venue! Our wedding is in December and we have been planning with the head of events she is simply wonderful! She is attentive and quick to respond to all my questions! The venue is pretty inclusive making costs overall very low compared to other venues in the area! I would highly recommend them!

Michelle Griggs is the best thing that Golden Eagle Country Club ever did! She is amazing and is worth every penny spent at this venue! She makes sure everything is set up and ready to go. I am a bit of a control freak and for me to trust someone with all the ins and outs of my wedding means A LOT and I had complete trust in Michelle. We communicated back and forth many times and she always called me right back or responded to emails right away.

We had our rehearsal dinner (5/30/2914- not able to change date due to wedding wire rules) in the 'plantation room' hosted by my in laws. We had a wonderful time, food and service were great- BBQ chicken was some of the moistest I've had ever. We had a couple changes to the buffet due to dietary restrictions/preferences- we had no issues or push back by the venue. Michelle G. was awesome to work with, was responsive to communication and was very helpful. We made these plans from another city and hadn't actually seen the facility and it worked out great. The grounds were very pretty, we were able to see the sunset over the lake, great for pictures. We would recommend the facility to anyone.

Golden Eagle is a great place for an outdoor wedding

I had a friend recommend this venue and I would definitely recommend it especially if you want an outside ceremony and inside reception at the same venue. The outside area with the pergola and white chairs was beautiful. We were lucky to have beautiful weather the day of the wedding BUT if necessary, they can move the ceremony inside if the weather takes a turn for the worst. That was one of our worst fears in having an outside ceremony. It was nice to have an air-conditioned space for the reception with the beautiful outside area for overflow.

We also hired Michelle Griggs as the wedding coordinator for the rehearsal the night before and the day of the wedding. Best decision we made. She made sure everything was as we had planned and we knew if anything needed to be done, she would take care of it. She was so easy to work with and knows how things work there. Yes, she does indeed have extra "stuff" you may want to use. We loved working with her.

We met with Charlie, the Chef, several times for tastings. He was extremely attentive to how we wanted things to look and taste. Also, very easy to work with, and certainly wanted us to be pleased with the food he provided and how it was presented. We had a buffet and all the food was great. We couldn't have been more pleased.

We provided - Michelle implemented - more lighting outside which we loved and couldn't have accomplished without her.
My suggestion to Golden Eagle is to add some up-lighting on the beautiful trees and some other outside lighting. Maybe they have done that by now.

We also had a small display of fireworks that was on my daughter's "must have" list.

My husband and I looked at many places, but we couldn't find a venue that we felt was right for us. One of my husbands colleagues suggested the Golden Eagle Country Club. We went for a visit and we were immediately impressed. The site was absolutely gorgeous and the coordinator Michelle was able to answer every question we had. Ben and I knew after we left that would be the perfect place for our wedding. We also hired Michelle as our coordinator. It was such a blessing to work with someone as on top of things as Michelle. She also helped save us several hundred dollars by letting us use her cake stand, candleholders, and many othe miscellaneous items. The day of the wedding went just perfectly. It was so nice to have to not worry about doing any setting up or cleaning up. It took a huge load of Ben and I and our families. The food was excellent. We have received multiple comments from people about how impressed they were with food. I would definitely recommend Golden Eagle Country Club and Michelle Griggs to anyone I know that is getting married or having an event!

Where do I even begin? Our wedding was last Saturday, but we booked the venue about 10 months ago, last December. In addition to the venue itself (which included outdoor ceremony, indoor reception, food and bar) we hired the facility's wedding coordinator, Michelle. Throughout the months leading up to the wedding, Michelle was always so helpful - responding very promptly to our e-mails, answering all of our questions and helping us find the other vendors we needed.

On the day, Michelle went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. A bride has so much on her mind on her wedding day, as well as the months leading up to it, and it was priceless to have a coordinator who was so on top of everything. She was super-organized and focused and I don't know how she did it, but she made our event run like clockwork.

As for other aspects of the venue, there are so many great things I have to say. As to not let this review get too long, I'll run through a few briefly: Venue comes with beautiful pergola overlooking the lake, spacious green lawn and foliage, rolling hills... dining room is tastefully decorated and elegant. Lovely and comfortable dressing space for the bride and her party... DELICIOUS FOOD!!! There really was a lot included for a very decent price! The menu gives you a lot to choose from and their chef, Charles Di Bella, is fantastic, willing to work with our guests that had special food requirements.

Golden Eagle has hosted countless weddings and it is very clear that they have perfected the art of running a smooth, beautiful event.

My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Golden Eagle. Michelle runs the show over there and she is phenomenal. She makes everything so easy and does all of the planning for you. When we first toured the place she went over every detail and gave us tons of ideas of things she has seen in the past. They have done a ton of weddings and it shows….they have ever single detail perfectly planned. They do the food, drinks (offer kegs & bottles of wine which makes the price affordable), all the tables, chairs, linens, dance floor and had several decorations available for us. We did the dinner buffet with pecan chicken and London broil and it was delicious. The food was awesome and everything was on time and hot. All of the staff was very helpful and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. We had some awesome pictures taken in front of the lake. Our wedding was for 125 people and we definitely could have fit plenty more. Trust me if you go with Golden Eagle half of your stress will immediately go away since they do it all for you. My husband and I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Michelle will put your mind at ease. She has a game plan for everything. You have no worries. My wedding went so smoothly because of her. I recommend you use her as your planner also. She is worth every penny!

The food was perfect. The appetizers were beautifully displayed. We had a sit down dinner for 160 people. The food was hot and delicious. The portions were huge.

Michelle was amazing. She met with us several times and was willing to do whatever she could to make our wedding day special. I showed up for the rehearsal dinner, and everything was done and set for me for the next day. Her staff was very helpful and the food was to die for. Great location!

This is a must use place for your wedding ceremony and reception!! The grounds are absolutely breath-taking. I couldn't of asked for more. The food and kitchen staff were amazing! The only negative thing I can say is there was a wedding at 11am the same day as mine so it was somewhat disorganized when we came to set up at the time we were told. Not a huge deal though!

We couldn't have selected a better venue for our ceremony and reception! We were more than satisfied with how everything turned out. One of the best things about Golden Eagle was the convenience of having a "one stop shop". The tables, chairs, linens, china, etc. were all included and gave us more bang for our buck and eliminated the need for multiple vendors which made it easier on us and cheaper by comparison. Michelle was wonderful to work with as well as all the staff at Golden Eagle. Everyone was more than accommodating!

From the time the wedding was in the beginning of planning, til the last person left the dance floor well after the bridal party leaving, Golden Eagle's Staff was absoultely professional, flexible, thoughtful, and even helpful in times of requested recommendations. Our wedding was even more beautiful than ever dreamed and with our background being in hospitality we've seen a few more weddings than the normal couple. Everything was clean (floors, glasses, windows, etc.) as if that date was a grand re-opening. Our ceremony was outdoors and the landscape itself was properly maintained and made our pictures priceless. The food was very delicious and was complimented on by several of our guest. Golden Eagle country club is THE place in North Florida to hold your special event. Michelle was wonderful, efficient, punctual, creative, supportive, and exemplary in customer service. There was no task too big or too small. Chef Charlie DiBella and his staff truly worked with us to make all of the food both memorable and delectable. The staff was both attentive and responsive to any and all requests. The bartender, Matt, was very good. He was able to make the unique drinks that my family and friends had requested with ease and precision. Any special event would be truly "special" when held at Golden Eagle country club.

Jessica, the director at GE, was amazing! They were very accommodating and pretty much said "yes" to everything we asked for. I used them 6 years ago for my daughter's wedding reception. This time was my turn--wedding (outside) and reception (inside). Price was more than reasonable, and after venue shopping, I became convinced that GE was the best thing going--aesthetically and economically. Also loved, loved, loved Bianca--our event hostess. Look no further; GE as a venue is guaranteed quality, professionalism and super courtesy & customer service.

If you are looking for a wonderful place to get married I would suggest this place. It is beautiful inside and out. Michelle Griggs did an amazing job with coordinating with my husband and I throughout the entire planning process. Michelle had a lot of the vases etc I needed which was nice because I didn't have to purchase or bring them to the venue. The bridal suite is amazing and I had one of the best time hanging out with my friends and family there before the wedding!!! Our ideal plan was to get married outside because the scenery is all the decor you need; however, it unfortunately monsoon on our wedding day, but Michelle's staff did an amazing job moving the ceremony inside and accommodating a 150 guests. Although some guests had to stand, some stated they like the coziness of the room. Also the entire ceremony was flipped to the reception area in less than 45 minutes and the guests were able to enjoy cocktail hour on the veranda. I would recommend this place to anyone, the coziness makes you feel comfortable and the staff is amazing!!!

Golden Eagle is a great outdoor venue in the Tallahassee area for smaller weddings. The food is very good and they really are very organized. It is a beautiful setting and made for a wonderful event.

They were absolutely amazing! The only thing I got annoyed with was a few prom kids were on the grounds while we were getting ready and were getting in the way of the pictures but that is nothing that the venue has control over. Other than that everything was amazing. The service was great the food was amazing and the entire staff was so helpful. Michelle was amazing at helping with all of the wedding details and everything came together beautifully. She definately knows what she is doing. I could not imagine anywhere else I would have wanted to have our wedding. I got the fairytale wedding I have always dreamed of thanks to Golden Eagle!

We were searching for a venue that would be perfect for a party, but also met our budget. Golden Eagle was the perfect place for us. The setting was amazing for our August wedding, with a light breeze coming off the lake. Working with Golden Eagle was so easy, it was like a one-stop shop, which was great for planning a wedding when living in a different state! The whole venue was beautiful, the service was great, and the food was spectacular. It was almost too easy to have our wedding at Golden Eagle!

This was the perfect place for a ceremony and reception. We had our ceremony outside by the lake, and the reception in the ballroom. It was beautiful! The staff was exceptional, and the wedding coordinator, Michelle, made the entire process stress-free. Highly recommend!

The venue is beautiful on its own. The food was really good and Jessica is a dream to work with. Just be careful with kitchen staff. We had a few special plates that weren't served and had to "remind" staff of tea and coffee that come with the dinner. besides those hiccups, the reception was beautiful

This review is so difficult to write - we worked with Michelle as an event planner and Charlie, the chef, and both were wonderful and exceptional. We had the first ever reception fully out on the lawn (such a perfect spot - I was flabbergasted when the told me that) - with three long rows of tables - everyone worked so long and hard and the food was wonderful and beautiful, but here's the problem:
I still have no idea why Michelle wasn't there and the Food and Beverage manager managed the day of events. There were A LOT of little mistakes - all forgiveable at first - we were to have two buffett lines, we had requested craft brew beer (the only request my husband made) and they only had bud bud light, amsdel and heinken. We asked for table wine service since the bars were to be located farther from the seating so everyone would sit and relax longer, I asked a "clearer" for a glass of wine (hello, I'm easy to ID as the bride, here), and he ignored me and never came back. They were to set aside the starters so my parents and I could make sure we got some. We were not going to run out of oysters - again, all little things, totally forgiveable. We had the venue until 12, but decided to close the bar at 11 with Michelle - I was concerned that since the last shuttle was leaving at 10:45, 11 meant they'd shut down early, but Michelle assured me everything would start closing, last call, at 11. For some reason, the F&B Manager went up to my father (who has not been involved in any details but paying, I'm sure that is quite typical of weddings), and asked him if it was ok to shut the bar at 10:30. My father said - Sure? He then told my band that they needed to shut down at 10:30

At 10:15, my husband and I were finally sitting down in the lawn, listening to our band, and I asked my cousin to get me a glass of wine - the bars were closed, no more alcohol. My husband who was present at the planning, knew they shouldn't close until 11, and went to ask - the bar tender was curt with him (again, not a big deal). When he said "I'll have a hard time recommending this place for receptions", the F&B manager who'd over heard told him "That's fine, we don't want your kind here anyway."

I heard this from my wedding planner. When my husband, instead of coming back to me for a nice, quiet last half hour that we'd planned, left out the front door rather PO'd (justifyable). The GM then turned to my wedding planner and asked "who is that asshole?". She's great, she got them to reopen the bar for another 45 minutes (Mr. Hanley, they said you told them to close the bar, did you want the bar closed? "Hell, I don't know? What time was it supposed to close?") I spent the last half hour trying to find my husband, asking why the band was closing early, and apologizing to friends that they were sitting waiting on a shuttle while the venue closed down.

I can't say more nice things about Chef Charlie and the food - it wasn't just excellent, it was extraordinary, the setting is beautiful, and Michelle was great to work with. I would recommend the venue as long as you could have assurances from the board or GM that the F&B manager would be two states away on your special day.
