Amanda was wonderful

We had a wonderful experience with Amanda. My husband and I wanted to have a very private ceremony at the park. She met us there with only a few days notice, helped up pick out the ceremony script and created a unique and comfortable experience for us! Would highly recommend her.

Amanda was amazing!

We specifically wanted someone that covered all types of ceremonies for all types of couples and wanted to choose someone who would understand our needs in a ceremony. We were lucky to find Amanda! She did an amazing job pulling it all together and keeping us safe by wearing a mask! We are so grateful to Amanda and highly recommend her!

Heartfelt, Genuine, and Accomodating!

We had Amanda officiate our legal marriage ceremony in our backyard and then over a year later, she officiated our big, traditional wedding! Both times Amanda was extremely professional and gave lovely readings. She offered us options ahead of time of 6 different ceremonies and let us customize them exactly how we wanted them! She was very helpful and accommodating as we used different ceremony outline for each ceremony. Amanda came to both dressed in a nice, professional dress and was a pleasure to work with! Thank you Amanda!

Very flexible and professional

Amanda was amazing and accommodating with my sunday morning brunch wedding. She was able to come early Saturday to work on the rehearsal which was much appreciated. It ended up raining the morning of our service but amanda the last minute adjustments were very smooth and we had a beautiful ceremony 😍

Pandemic summer wedding

Amanda made our tiny pandemic wedding something we will remember forever. In the short notice that we gave her she was able to make it perfect. I could never have asked for anything more.

PERFECT ceremony!

Amanda was absolutely perfect. When our big reception was canceled due to COVID, we still wanted to have a micro-wedding with close family and friends - and we are SO glad that Amanda was available. She was flexible with the chaos that came with our last-minute planning, she wore a mask, and she was very professional without being "dry." We picked and customized our ceremony and were able to fit in a poem reading by a friend. Amanda also threw in some off-the-cuff jokes/comments that made it even more perfect and matched our vibe. We are so thankful!

I would highly recommend

Amanda was the officiant at my daughters wedding last weekend. She did a great job. She definitely wants the bride and groom to have the ceremony they want. She has many ceremonies options you can choose from, you can write your own....whatever you want. She was professional and on time. I would highly recommend her!

Easy to work with

Amanda was accommodating and easy to work with. She did a wonderful job at the ceremony and even my dad, who is old fashioned and doesn't generally accept female officiants, was very happy with the ceremony as well. Highly recommend.

Caring and professional: Our whole family loved her!

Our wedding was the first time both of our families were able to be together and she blended right in! She helped us create a ceremony that was “perfectly us.” I highly recommend Amanda for her professionalism, her experience, her knowledge, and because she she is a wonderful person to share this day with! A wonderful experience

We wanted a simple ceremony of dedication to a life together. We couldn’t have been more pleased with that ceremony. Since it was private, she even took cellphone photos for us - and everyone afterwards wanted to know who our “wedding photographer” was! So responsive and accommodating. Just a pleasure to work with.

Great service - Inter- religion wedding

Amanda was really good and responsive. We had a last minute booking with her and she helped us with our vows, venue and was very amicable during the whole process. I’d highly recommend her services to officiate your wedding.

Amanda exceeded our expectations!

We were super nervous about finding an officiant when we started the process. We both hate to be the center of attention and wanted to be in and out of the ceremony quickly and painlessly. Amanda did a truly wonderful job throughout the entire process, not only with the ceremony but with counseling sessions beforehand. She made us feel comfortable and relaxed, as if she's known us for years. We're so glad we chose her for our wedding and would highly recommend her to anyone looking!

Amanda was the absolute BEST

She was kind, smart, funny, and let both my husband and I be ourselves. She had a TON of ideas and beautiful writings and vows for us to choose from and we mixed them to what suit us. People are still talking about how beautiful and heartfelt our ceremony was and it definitely couldn't have been that way without Amanda as a guide. My husband and I are of different faith backgrounds, and we were able to marry them perfectly together by weaving in some of the both of us. Like a marriage, no one size fits all, and Amanda knows that and treats each one as such. Book her, promise you wont be disappointed.

Amanda is fantastic!

Amanda did a fantastic job officiating our wedding. We did pre-marital counseling with her as well and she gave us some great tools to navigate our differences in a positive, and fun way. She was very professional and a joy to work with. She was a great fit for us and I highly recommend her!

I had such an amazing experience with Amanda as my wedding minister. She was super flexible with the time and date (we booked her 2 weeks in advance!), and she gave us so many beautiful options for the type of ceremony we wanted along with the option to customize it completely ourselves. She also did us the sweetest favor to take pictures of us after the ceremony (which turned out SO WELL). 10/10 would recommend her to anyone.

She was fabulous! we could not have chosen a better officiant. she was very calming and professional, was very open to our suggestions and wishes and had lots of great ideas. She was extremely helpful in leading the rehearsal as well as doing the ceremony. We contacted Amanda after finding her online. We were looking for a non traditional and small ceremony. We are a same gendered couple who had the good fortune of having a Catholic priest marry us 38 years ago in the Church. But, we wanted to make it legal and do so in Nashville where we met and on our 40th anniversary. Amanda took a lot of time listening to our story, asking questions and then sending us a packet that was very helpful in our designing our ceremony. When officiating, it was clear that Amanda was very connected to us as a couple and to the service. We feel so fortunate to have found her and grateful for her contribution. We could not recommend her more highly

Amanda was wonderful! On the day when we were most "uncollected" she swooped in and handled all the little details that made our wedding perfect. From proofing and editing our vows and ceremony to organizing who was where and singing what and cuing the musicians who were out of site of the actual ceremony ---to telling the groom right from left......yes, she was amazing. I highly recommend.

We had our ceremony at Riverwood Mansion. We live in Ohio so we had to coordinate everything over the phone and did not meet Amanda until the day of our wedding. The communication leading up to, and including they day of the wedding was great. She made me feel at ease and I would not have wanted anyone else to perform our ceremony. She sent me choices regarding the style of ceremony I wanted and vow choices as well. I wouldn't change a thing about that day and am so grateful to have Amanda be a part of it.

Amanda was the best Officiant we could have asked for! We did the 4 hours of premarital counseling and it was a great way to get to know her and was a great experience. She made our wedding rehearsal and ceremony so comfortable for everyone involved!

Can't say enough about how great Ms. Amanda was for us!!! We found a diamond in her professionalism. In every aspect, from flexibility, knowledge of the areas, process, and extremely accommodating! We were looking for a great outside location. Amanda, was willing to make that happen rain, or shine.
She had various forms of vows for us to choose. She was willing to snap photos of us. Which included our 5 year old daughter. It was a very special day enjoyed by all!!! I read and read and read reviews for officiants in the Nashville area. I reached out to a couple officiants, but between the reviews and correspondence with Amanda my decision was made pretty easily. From phone calls to emails she responded quickly! What I loved most is she makes you feel at ease. My husband and I opted for a commitment ceremony, but we wanted the traditonal vows with a twist of something heartfelt and original...something that spoke to us. On the day of the ceremony I expected to be a nervous wreck, but she makes you feel at ease, like you have known her for ages. The ceremony she performed was above and beyond what I had even expected! She doesn't only just officiate, but she gives great direction and ideas for photos as well! When we decide to renew our vows we will DEFINITELY be reaching out to Golden Dolphin Weddings again.

Amanda performed our ceremony in October and she was a recommendation from my brother who also used her for his wedding a couple of years ago. She is tremendous! She sent through lots of information and options that helped us shape a ceremony that was tailored to us and the feel that we wanted for our wedding. She is incredibly kind and makes you feel calm and confident on the day when you are in front of everyone. She was very easy to work with and very accomodating to the changes and order of things that we decided to go with. Basically, she will give you lots of material to help you generate ideas and will work with you to make sure it is exactly what you want so that you feel like the wedding is just right for you. She is very professional, always responds in a timely way and is generally just lovely to work with! I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Amanda was absolutely fantastic. We were so happy to have found someone who had plenty of ideas and options readily available for our ceremony script but also allowed us the flexibility to change and/or add things that were important to us. We also wanted a non-denominational officiant and she fit the bill perfectly. Lastly, once our day got here, she did a great job of helping us be prepared by doing a quick run-through with us before the ceremony which put us at ease and took care of all the nerves we had beforehand. We can't possibly express our gratitude to her for helping to make our day so very perfect.

I had contacted Amanda probably in late May and made an appointment for a few days before my husband and I were to leave for our destination wedding this upcoming December... Well, in August our best friends and photographer was moving and we were like "let's see if we can just go ahead and make this official" so I called Amanda and she was able to make the next Sunday work so we could get married in the park with our dog, or best friend (also some goose poop)! Extremely flexible, professional, and lovely. She made our "legal wedding" (we are still doing Mexico in a month, very it was already booked, my husband and i already regret having a more formal wedding) perfect.

I emailed Amanda a few days before the 12th thinking she would say we were crazy BUT she fit us in! We picked the park and time and she made it happen. Deciding to elope could be a bad experience but she made it so elegant and exactly what we wanted. Being a non-traditonal couple I was worried it would be awkward but she was supportive and treated us just like any other couple. If you are looking for a laid back, professional, and someone who goes above and beyond to make your day special - I highly recommend Amanda.

Amanda was great!! We wanted to do a quick wedding with just the two of us and she was more than flexible and accommodating to our needs. She provided same day service and was willing to go anywhere in Nashville to do it. She suggested a park that we had only been to once and it turned out to be perfect.

She made our quick event into a very memorable and emotional experience. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing an officiant!

Amanda was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I definitely didn’t make it easy on her — we wanted a two-part multi-cultural ceremony. And we were juggling some rather challenging family dynamics (I’ll just leave it at that). Not only did Amanda take it all in stride, she was a truly calming and overwhelmingly positive presence in the middle of an otherwise hectic day. She traded scripts and phone calls back and forth with us leading up to the big day. She helped us craft a ceremony that was uniquely us, and gave fantastic suggestions along the way. She was willing to travel pretty far (~1 hour drive) to our venue, and arrived on time (actually, I think a bit early). Amanda was a true blessing, and I highly, highly recommend her to anyone looking for an officiant.

We worked with Amanda Dobra (Golden Dolphin Wedding Minister) for our ceremony. We were looking for someone who could perform a non-religious ceremony, but still make it beautiful. Amanda is so nice, calm, and helpful. After we met with and hired her, she sent us some sample ceremonies - some non-religious, some spriritual, etc. and we were able to fully customize and mix and match for our taste. The ceremony was so personal and beautiful and she did an amazing job. So poised and well-spoken - our guests were very impressed (even the uber religious ones). She was extremely helpful during the rehearsal as well - helping with walking, timing, and making sure everyone understood what was happening. Really great - we cannot thank her enough!

I was so very pleased when Amanda was available to be the officiant at our wedding ceremony. We planned our wedding in just over 3 months so time was of the essence.
Amanda had done such a beautiful job setting the tone for my brother and sister-in-law's wedding that I knew she was the person I wanted.
She has such a calming and wonderful presence. She exudes joy and she has a gift with humor and timing. She is open and spiritual and accepting of all. One of the things I appreciated was that there was no ego involved on her end. She has several different versions and ceremonies to choose from each one is different and beautiful in its own way. Amanda allows you to change/exchange words or phrases so that the ceremony is in tune with your beliefs and definitions of a lifetime journey and committed union.
As it turns out we made very few changes to the words because when my husband and I read through the options we both cried as we read the perfect one for us.
Amanda's expertise was welcomed for our rehearsal. I was thinking we would just wing it on the day of. She gently told me of the benefit of taking a little pressure off of the day of the wedding that running through it the day before could provide.
She was fully present and calm as she spoke to us both separately before the ceremony. And that tone was one felt by us and everyone who attended.
Amanda was the perfect officiant for us and I am so grateful for her presence and blessing on our very special day.

Amanda was amazing from the moment we met in December for the first time, through the planning process, including the rehearsal, and on through the most wonderfully intimate outdoor / in-house wedding ceremony that far exceeded everyone's expectations - wedding party, parents, guests! Amanda is simply the best officiant we could have wished for for our wedding. We came all the way from England to get married in Franklin, TN and Amanda was just the most perfect choice, she was calm, collected and supportive throughout the process. We felt that everything was a simple and beautiful process leading up to the wedding and the ceremony itself was just incredible, we were able to work with Amanda to craft the perfect ceremony and she delivered it with sincerity, kindness and beauty in every way. Like us, she also was happy to improvise and have fun with the occasion, after all, weddings should be joyous and not stuffy occasions in my opinion! Weddings simply should not happen without Amanda... but I fear that might make her somewhat busy so thank goodness we were able to have her on our amazing wedding day.

I can’t offer enough praise for Amanda Dobra. Allan and I were in a bind. We were getting married in a few months and didn’t know where to start. Amanda’s warmth and knowledge gently guided us down the path. Instantly she offered suggestions on how to give us the wedding with a personalized touch that encompassed the thoughts and beliefs of the bride, groom both families and friends.

She arrived on time and kept everyone at ease. Even during the ceremony when the nervous bride (yours truly) broke down in happy tears, her positive composure gave me the both assuredness and fortitude to happily finish my vows. She’s an absolute pro!

We chose Amanda as our wedding officiant because we both are of different faiths and knew we wanted someone non-denominational, but spiritual, to guide us through our wedding ceremony.

Amanda was so pleasant to be around and her calm demeanor definitely helped with nerves when it came to the big day. It seemed while everything was whizzing by, Amanda was the rock keeping us grounded and sane that day. We can't say enough about her professionalism and good sense of humor that brightened our moods as well as those of our guests.

When she arrived at the rehearsal, she was all business, making sure everyone - including the ring bearers - knew what they would have to do the next day. Her organization worked because the ceremony went perfectly.

We would also highly recommend the pre-marital counseling services Amanda provides. It not only gives you an opportunity to get to know your soon-to-be spouse better, but also allows Amanda to get to know the both of you better with four hours of one-on-one time as opposed to the brief time spent talking over the phone prior to your big day.

Counseling also helped work out tiny kinks in our relationship that may or may not have become bigger problems later in our marriage. Amanda provided suggestions for reading material to keep an open dialogue between us even after counseling was finished.

All-in-all, Amanda rocked as our officiant and we'd recommend her to any couple for their big day!

Amanda was great! She really worked with us on what we wanted and made the vows our process everything completely us! They weren't your normal vows either which I really appreciated! Amanda was a perfect fit for us from the very first meeting we had to discuss details of her services that she provides. We hit it off from the start and knew right away that she was the right one! We decided that we wanted a cermemony based on loved and leave the religious aspect out of it since we are a mixed religious couple. She had the perfect one that she created. Amanda did a beautiful job helping us create a personal, uniquely customized wedding ceremony. We received so many compliments from guests who loved its simplicity and sincerity. Amanda was wonderfully open, candid and easy to talk to throughout the process. She was promptly responsive whenever we tried to reach her. During our wedding rehearsal, she helped us coordinate all the logistical details of our outdoor park ceremony (which we welcomed), from the order of the attendants to the route of the processional to the timing of the music. We definitely got a tremendous value out of her: she gave us very helpful, practical advice, and most importantly, peace of mind--a necessity on your wedding day. If we were to do it all over again, we'd choose Amanda as our officiant without hesitation.

My husband and I are not especially religious and were having a very difficult time finding an officiant for our wedding. Then we found Amanda on WeddingWire. I'm so glad we did. I knew immediately from talking with Amanda that she was the officiant for us. She was extremely flexible; she had a variety of ceremonies to choose from--both spiritual and non-spiritual. She told us that if we wanted a spiritual option she would work within our framework. We ended up blending elements from different options to create something that really suited us. We received so many compliments from guests about how beautiful the ceremony was. And the best part was that Amanda brought such life to the ceremony that our more religious relatives did not even notice that the religious element was missing. I would undoubtedly recommend Amanda, especially to those who are less traditional and are having a hard time finding an officiant who fits with your needs.

We had a casual outdoor ceremony at Gateway Island in Murfreesboro TN. We are spiritual and feel we are soulmates, but as we are not religious we did not want the traditional religious wedding ceremony. Amanda seemed a perfect fit for us.

We chose to combine a couple of her ceremonies, and even wrote in a bit of our own as well as writing our own vows. She was so flexible in letting us make it true to us.

The day of the wedding, her ceremony went beautifully. She was well spoke and had a wonderful presence that was both warm and genuine. When a huge gust of wind came through, or at other key moments, she improvised with humor that kept us all smiling... but most of all, she was very present and very in touch with the importance of the moment and she seemed to truly share in our joy. We felt so much love and light from her, which added beautifully to the joy we already were feeling.

All of our guests loved her ceremony, how thoughtful and genuine it was... so many compliments.

Amanda made our ceremony the most beautiful, moving and memorable part of our day... as it should have been. And by allowing us to create the wording and ceremony that was true to us, we experienced moments of deep bonding as we spoke our vows to one another that simply took our breath away.

We would recommend her a million times over if you are seeking a unique, fully present and deeply moving wedding ceremony. :)

Amanda officiated our daughters wedding August 13th. She did a beautiful job. We had so many people comment on how wonderful she was, so professional, friendly and she really made my daughter and new husband comfortable, she organized the wedding party and made sure everyone knew what to do and when to do it during the ceremony. Amanda was a Godsend for me and my Bride. We are from Michigan and we wanted to marry outdoors in Nashville TN on May 1st 2010. We arrived in Nashville on Friday, April 30th with a forecast of strong storms for our Saturday event (remember the floods?). I was very concerned that the wedding was going to be a thunderstorm nightmare. I called Amanda Friday afternoon and asked if it would be possible to move the date up to the very same afternoon. Amanda came immediately and performed our ceremony on the Shelby street walking bridge over the Cumberland River in beautiful downtown Nashville. My husband had been asking me to marry him for a year and for a year I had continuously refused, not because I did not want to commit to him, but because I did not believe that marriage by today's standards was sincere. I saw marriage as a show you put on for everyone you know and the vows as something someone else came up with forever ago. My opinion changed when I attended my uncle's wedding, officiated by Amanda Dobra, the feeling in the room was honest and personal. My husband and I were married less than a month later with Amanda as our officiant. I felt instantly comfortable with Amanda and knew that there would be no judgement or criticism about any of the non-conventional beliefs my husband and i share. In addition to suggestions with vows and support with any concerns I had Amanda was also very helpful with all of the confusing legal forms and processes involved in marriage that we were completely in the dark about. I felt as if I had found a very knowledgeable and supportive friend, I will always be grateful and I would recommend her to any bride or groom!

I cannot recommend Amanda Dobra at Gold Dolphin highly enough. She was simply wonderful. She worked with us to create a ceremony that was authentic and meaningful. Her attention to detail and the time she took to get to know me and my husband made those moments at the altar tender, honest, and warm. Many of my guests commented to me that evening and in the following days that they loved the ceremony and were surprised to learn that Amanda hadn't known us for many years. Amanda provided a very intimate service for me and my husband to renew our wedding vows. The ceremony was only for the two of us, no friends or family were invited, so right off the bat we were nervous...but Amanda made us feel very relaxed and truly focused on our love for one another. Amanda was awesome. She did not get in the way of what we wanted to do for our ceremony she just went with " our flow" and did a great job. I highly recommend her.

gettting married out of state made me very nervous about finding the right officiant but soon after emailing amanda and getting a response back very shortly i instantly new i found the one. meeting with her she put me and my husband at ease and soon i looked at her more like a friend then someone who was just going to be marring us. we kept in contact thru emails and she made sure i understood and had everything set for our big day. and her rates were the best around as well.

Terrific experience

Amanda was nothing short of wonderful. As new residents to Nashville, she was incredibly helpful with her suggestions for the venue & time. We never could have imagined how truly beautiful & special our ceremony would turn out, which happened in no small part due to Amanda. She was so personable and warm, very helpful once the ceremony itself was over and she turned out to be the perfect guest/witness to our special day. We wholeheartedly recommend her.

Amanda did a great job officiating our wedding and making the ceremony planning process enjoyable. She was very respectful of our beliefs and gave us lots of different ideas and templates to get us started.

Amanda was wonderful for my husband and I. She adapted herself so well to our demand and made everything go very smooth and easy. She is a wonderful officiant. And we were pretty atypical, which does not make things easy! We had a non-religious ceremony based on love. We were lucky enough (thanks to her) to be able to choose our texts ourselves from what she already had. Also, our wedding was a French-American celebration. We then had to translate some of the texts and she really was comprehensive and very helpful with the process. We even added a poem that our best man / maid of honor both were reading, which made it just wonderful. We are very thankful for Amanda and could not have imagined getting another officiant for our ceremony. Plus she is very nice, patient and pretty :) The Walters.

Amanda did a good job with our ceremony. She was willing to work with us prior to the ceremony to decide what we wanted to be said and done. She struggled a little going through our rehearsal as Amanda is used to running the rehearsal vs having our wedding coordinator giving the cues. But the wedding went off without a hitch.
