Working with Greg from Gold Ring Entertainment was such a smooth process from start to finish. He walked us through every detail step by step to build the perfect timeline for our day, and his communication was clear and thoughtful every single time. What really stood out was how patient and kind he was with our boys on the autism spectrum—he went out of his way to make them feel comfortable and included. On the wedding day itself, Greg's expertise transformed our space into something we could barely recognize in the best way possible. The lighting and effects were stunning, the dance floor stayed packed all night, and his photo booth was the coolest addition our guests loved. Greg truly delivered on our dream and exceeded what we thought was possible. -

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Greg from Gold Ring Entertainment for our wedding. Greg was a total pro--he ran our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We added on the photo booth and uplighting. We would highly recommend hiring Greg specifically! He was super easy to work with, very kind and accommodating, and has truly invaluable experience in hosting/emceeing/running events.
The whole process of working with Greg was incredibly smooth. He has a vast library of songs to select from and even for deep cuts, if you want them, he'll get them! Greg prepared a minute by minute schedule for us that gave us peace of mind and made it easy for all our other vendors.
Greg was always responsive, on time, and professional. He met with us multiple times over the phone to help plan our event, offered helpful feedback, and our guests were even telling us at the wedding what a great voice he had and how polite he was!
Greg encouraged us to add on the photo booth, which we originally weren't planning on doing. We are so happy that we did because it was packed all night and people loved it. Greg even helped us set up a custom logo/border for the photo booth pictures!
All in all, we can't recommend Greg and Gold Ring enough for your wedding. If you want to have a fun-filled night, look no further! -

Greg was superb! From beginning to end, we were pleased with our interactions with Greg. The lighting he walked us through really made our daughter’s event change from ordinary to magical. The photobooth was the biggest hit of the night, so many great memories were captured by all our guests. And last but might least Greg did such a wonderful job MC’ing the event & engaging everyone making sure that all felt welcome. -

My husband Brian and I were married on March 21, 2020 but due to COVID, our wedding reception was postponed to a year later on March 27, 2021. In that time frame, we had become pregnant with our first son who was set to be due in April. In addition to celebrating our one year anniversary, we wanted to have a baby shower even though we were really cutting it close! We took our chances and decided to go through with it. Working with Greg of Goldring Entertainment made the planning experience less stressful. Greg was super accommodating to our unique situation! He added some baby shower elements in the wedding reception program, such as incorporating new parent questions in one of the games, and having the idea of me performing a Bride-Son dance (I did a hula number). Choosing our songs was made easy through his client portal, and he made sure everything was set in schedule.
Greg provided us with not only with an awesome wedding reception/ baby shower program, with good music, and activities—he had other amazing services that added quite a magic touch to our event. He provided colored uplights that made our venue (which was at the Irish Cultural Center in Downtown Phoenix) look so amazing than it already is, illuminating the place to look like the castle in Disneyland at night. Greg also provided a special spotlight to highlight our cake. The dance lights on the floor were also a lot of fun and colorful.
The big hit of the night was the full length photobooth mirror! Everyone had so much fun, especially my husband. I’ve never seen him take so many photos before! The scrapbook was a momentous keepsake and was worth every cent. Greg retouched and put together the pictures in the scrapbook, which was really nice of him.
Greg is not only professional, he is also very personable and establishes positive relationships with those he works with. For example, he has also referred to us to our awesome wedding coordinator, Gina.
Overall, my husband and I were really happy with all of Greg’s services. He goes above and beyond to make sure his clients have a memorable and beautiful event they always wanted. Greg is full of creative ideas that made our wedding reception program so memorable. He is professional, accessible, easy to communicate with, organized, and really puts a lot of thought in your event. I’ve had compliments on how smooth he ran the evening! There are many wedding DJs out there but Greg was surely one who does an outstanding job! Even though my husband and I had to wait a year to have our wedding reception, it was worth the wait—thanks to Greg -

Greg was phenomenal! Our initial phone call with him left me in goosebumps and I KNEW we had just found our DJ. He was one of, if not, the first vendor we hired and he was the best decision ever! One of the biggest suggestions from wedding planners and other brides was to make sure you get a GREAT DJ and don’t let that be something you skimp out on. I honestly felt so blessed that we had Greg. Our wedding coordinator/planner turned out to be less than what I had thought or was expecting but with Greg there it all ran so smoothly. He even grabbed a plate of appetizers for me after the ceremony since I was busy taking pictures and couldn’t enjoy cocktail hour! He’s EXTREMELY detail oriented, he had the whole wedding timeline down to the minute, his client portal for choosing songs contains a wide range of music, and all the activities that he has to keep the guests entertained were wonderful. He is a true wedding DJ. Do NOT sleep on Greg Keys with Gold Ring Entertainment! He’s worth every single penny. He’s hands down the main reason why our wedding ran so smoothly. -

Gold Ring Entertainment is one of the best DJs in the valley. I'm a wedding photographer and have had multiple events with Greg and his team over the years. He's a fun DJ and one of the nicest guys on the planet. My couples LOVE Greg's professionalism. He's one of the few DJs that offers an option for a fog machine. There's something truly magical about newlyweds celebrating their wedding while dancing on a cloud. Amazing!!! -

Do not look elsewhere - hire Gold Ring Entertainment NOW! I worked directly with my DJ from start to finish. They are absolutely amazing. Their attention to detail makes it clear that they are true professionals who specialize in weddings. They had super fun suggestions for the party that I had never heard of and that the guests absolutely loved, they communicated with every single one of my vendors to be sure everyone was on the same time schedule, and had absolutely no issues with me changing my mind on a few things (which dances, what to include or leave out, etc.) MULTIPLE times. I could not have pulled off such a fun and imaginative reception without them and the guests have all raved about what a great party it was. -

Greg was the dj for our wedding a few weeks ago! It was the best choice we made. He was very informative, he had several meetings with us to discuss the timeline and make changes, he responded to my emails and calls very attentively. He is easy to work with and very kind. He was a fantastic dj and host. He helped me make my wedding unique and special. My guests were wowed at some of the ideas and activities he planned. The shoe game was a hit! Greg and his team were so great to work with!! From the moment I found them, to our wedding this past Saturday, Greg has communicated perfectly with me and has been so great! Our MC was amazing! It ended up being so windy that we had to move our entire reception inside the cabin we had rented and his team moved everything in and got the part going again! Being able to have everything play perfectly during the ceremony was nerve wracking, but they did such a great job and nailed it!! Thanks guys, you're the best!!! -

I initially chose Gold Ring because they had the best pricing for DJ only services though we did end up adding uplights and the AWESOME selfie mirror for our reception which everyone enjoyed! Greg was responsive and did offer a lot of options for the reception because he's seen a million weddings and wanted to make sure we had the best one possible. In the end, he honored our desire to keep it simple, but did convince us to have an Entrance so all of the guests would know we were there, which turned out to be the best plan. As my own wedding planner, I met with Greg several times before the wedding and felt very comfortable that we were on the same page. I also designated my dad as the day-of contact so Greg would know who he could talk to for questions. He still did come to me for a few things because his number 1 priority is that the bride is happy so who better to ask than the bride! The music was PERFECT but because I got to choose every single song and even their order in some cases (opening songs, last call songs, dessert songs). The online system allowed me to be extremely detailed and was very easy to use. Greg was great about choosing which song to follow up each previous song with (when I let him :) ), which is because he's an experienced DJ. Great experience!!! Thanks Greg! -

Greg was a recommendation and an excellent one at that. The DJ is such an important part of the wedding! You need to rely on him/ her from the very beginning to move things along in a fun yet effecient manner. Greg went above my expectations and my guest still talk about how much fun the reception was and it was all because of Greg and his suggestions for wedding activities. You will not regret hiring Golden Ring Entertainment! Also if you can get the photo booth with the package another guest favorite😁

I was happy with everything. I had a lot of requests that weren't on the portal already and they were all there for the ceremony and reception. He also came to me when some of my guests only wanted a certain type of music playing at the reception to see if I wanted to do what the guests wanted or keep it all mixed. I'm glad he left that choice to me instead of my in-laws. I liked the added lighting too. Overall it was a good experience. -

Greg was amazing to work with before the wedding! However the day of there were some mistakes. The song for the flower girl and ring bearer wasn’t played so they walked down to my song. During the reception our names were mispronounced. The line up for Grand Entrance was also wrong even after going over with him right before. -

Excellent value and great music however they talked us into having a "day of coordinator" who clashed with our site coordinator and it was a bit chaotic and caused some issues with family members and caused our schedule to run late. Would not hire her if I could do it again. -

We hired gold ring about 2 months away from our wedding. Groom thought we could go without and when he heard the prices of other dj’s he was not having it. Thankfully I found gold ring and they were able to work with our budget. Greg was knowledgeable about planning and adding activities to keep guest occupied during the reception which helped everything flow and entertaining to our guest. One thing I was disappointed about was that before the ceremony no one could find the dj (yikes!) which was pretty chaotic right before everything started and there were a couple other times that I noticed he was not at the dj table. BUT all in all everything worked out fine we had a great night as did our guest! My favorite part was after most of our guest left, we played our last dance song and it was magical as the groom and I shared a private moment together. Do not skip a dj! Gold ring is a great option 👍 -
User1956711 Sent on 12/08/2014Both Gina and Greg are very friendly, they did a great job with the lighting. They have fun ideas for "activities" for weddings to keep your guests entertained. They aren't the best at listening always, more Greg then Gina, make sure they have all your details correct and go over it with them after they type it up. Our wedding did get a little bumpy from the not listening/remembering what we requested for our wedding. Our first dance was the wrong version of the song, they didn't play my dedication for my husband which could be partially my fault, but Greg said he would get that done, and didn't. Given that most of the time people who make speeches for the bride and groom are typically nervous, our speakers didn't know to say "to the bride and groom", so there was no toast, wish someone would have just quickly went over that with them to cut out the awkward moment of no one knowing if they were going to toast. Over all they were fun to work with just a little disappointed in the mistakes made. -

Our wedding was the most joyous occasion of our lives and the vast majority of our vendors came through for us with flying colors. We expected great things from Greg given his confidence during our consults, familiarity with the venue and the fact that he is the owner of the company, but unfortunately we were left disappointed. Although the lights looked great and mics worked well, we didn't feel our wishes were fully respected at the reception despite giving him exhaustive instructions. There were many times during the planning process when we clearly stated we didn't want something or wanted it done a certain way (no grand entrance, no last slow song, call us by our first names, etc.) and then had to reiterate that via email or even in person far more times than we should have. He pushed hard for us to include gimmicky activities and we had to say no multiple times. Moreover, we poured our hearts into creating our must play and play if possible lists on his very useful website, but countless beloved tunes were passed over in favor of repeats or random additions. We can understand taking a few requests throughout the night but not at the expense of our carefully curated selections. The structural integrity of the playlist just didn't seem to flow especially after the first half of the dance party, and that was the feedback we received from several of our guests as well. Three weeks later, we are still a bit crestfallen at how many songs we chose months in advance that Greg simply didn't play. We had also asked him to make an announcement about the wedding favor and didn't hear that happen despite it being on the schedule he sent us and in multiple emails. The music cues we requested to announce each table's turn for the buffet were jumbled. We did like the choice of the first song when the dance floor opened and many of the oldies Greg played from our list, but he seemed sullen and bored throughout, played "Hit the Road Jack" at the end without our approval to shoo people out and totally missed the fact that the bride's dress needed to be rebustled quickly before the father-daughter dance -- as a result, most of the abbreviated track played before we could even start dancing, an unfortunate disruption to what should have been a sweet moment. To top it all off, he made an inappropriate remark about women's menstrual cycles during a planning meeting. So even if we could chalk some of his attitude up to a bad day, there were clearly red flags. Sadly, we cannot recommend this vendor without some significant reservations, especially for couples hoping to do any customization at all of their special day. For those planning more traditional weddings without strong preferences of their own, he might just be the guy for you, but otherwise prepare for an uphill battle with an undercurrent of arrogance and misogyny from this DJ. Again, every other vendor and the venue coordinator at Secret Garden blew us away, but Gold Ring fell short with the exceptions of the uplights and sound equipment. -

I am glad that everyone else had a positive experience but mine was far from positive. We were supposed to get married in 2020 two weeks after everything shut down. So, we had to cancel. All my vendors were very understanding and super easy to work with. Even Greg or so he acted like initially. He told my Mom that they would do what they could to help reschedule. When it was time to reschedule, I reached out to Greg and he had my date available. "Nice to hear from you! We actually do have availability for that night. Let me know when a good time would be to have either a phone appointment or, if you’d rather just book us I can send over a list of information that we would need from you. Let us know and Congratulations on your upcoming Reception!" I replied w/ "Awesome! Let’s proceed to book but definitely want to have a phone conversation at some point! If I remember correctly last time we had started putting songs into a playlist into a website you had or something like that." he replied with “Ok, here’s what we need from you: (A list was attached) That’s it! Just get that information to us and we’ll get everything squared away for you." I sent the information back and never heard anything. I figured people were busy and if he said he would take care of it he would. I finally reached out this week as the wedding is supposed to be two weekends from now just to check in and find out that the date isn't booked, I receive this note "It looks like your booking for May 8th was never completed. I’ll check availability for you this AM and get back to you ASAP regarding this. We would need a new Agreement executed, additional payment for the ReBooking and the balance owed from the original Agreement. That would be a balance of $200 + $300. As long as all of that is ok (and we have availability) we’ll get your new booking completed for you right away!". I called Greg several times from my cell phone and it went straight to voicemail each time. I then called on another line and it rang right away he answered, and I begin to ask about what the plan is. I asked about the rebooking fee which I wasn't aware of until this point and he explained that he pays his DJs in advance. So apparently, he paid the DJ for our original wedding to hold the date and I guess that DJ keeps the money even though he did not DJ our wedding because the Governor said no gatherings. But don't worry Greg ensured that he was doing us a favor by not collecting the remaining balance for the original wedding that we cancled (he liked reminding us that we cancelled our wedding) even though we cancelled it because of a State ordinance. This probably wouldn't be such a big deal outside of the fact that there was zero transparency, and he was condescending and is not a problem solver. I explained that in his first response he probably should have told me all of this because from my perspective it seemed like he was taking care of it (as he said) and then he proceeded to tell me that it was my responsibility (I guess it was my responsibility to not trust him when he said he would take care of it?). I am upset. Greg made it seem so easy peasy until it came time to honor his commitment at which point it is my fault for not executing a new agreement that was never sent nor mentioned. It would have been so simple to state all of that in the first e-mail and then there would have been full transparency. Then he told my fiancé to get a handle on his bride (and I am just beside myself that I need to get a handle on myself for simply asking someone why they didn't provide information in advance.) Greg was very condescending and took no responsibility for telling me he would get it handled and then not. I would have not been upset had he said shoot, I'm sorry I got busy and forgot to say anything. Or shoot, I let it slip through the cracks this is how we proceed. I understand that managing events is a lot but you certainly shouldn’t blame you clients when you tell them you will get it squared away. Don’t worry though, he made sure to memorialize the cancelation & conversation via e-mail and then sent a second e-mail stating "Just for the record, our first reply came in from one of our most experienced DJ's that he is available for that date. It's really a shame things went the way they did. We would have loved to have helped you." which I personally see as very unprofessional and super tacky, but he got his last word in which it certainly seems like that’s what he’s about. I’m glad other’s have had good experiences with him, but he was not a nice person to deal with and I was very nice at the beginning of the call, I was trying to talk through what had to get done. Mind you he still never sent the new agreement.. He didn’t want to do the job, that was clear he was more worried about placing blame on me, and my mom at one point so maybe he’s fine when you micromanage him but I try not to do that to people. When people tell me they will do something I trust that they will.
