When we discovered Going Steady Studios, we didn't see anything exactly like what we had envisioned, but we saw gorgeous work that spanned so many aesthetics and styles and always had a touch of whimsy that we knew that they would be able to achieve our vision for our wedding floral design.
Katie and her team absolutely nailed our vision of something that would complement not only our unique venue but our "sweet with a dark touch" aesthetic. Katie delivered a deck for us on time, took the little feedback I gave, and produced a stunning batch of florals that we couldn't have been happier with.
If you prioritize florals that are uniquely you and also value professionalism, Going Steady Studios is your go-to!

YES, you need her.
Katie (and her entire team) were PHENOMENAL to work with! It was easy to see via stalking on socials that her art is stunning, structural and so unique. I knew we had to have her.
Throughout the wedding planning process, I often had difficulty finding the right words to describe what I was looking for. I didnt know any specific flowers, colors, or arrangement types I wanted- just vibes. & Katie understood immediately. She was such a joy to talk to and knew she would create something beautiful for us.
It was really important to us to find vendors we felt we really got along with and could trust. We wanted nothing but awesome people surrounding us on our special day. Katie was the perfect fit. She went ABOVE & BEYOND to bring our vision to life, making the entire day feel that much more magical. Cannot recommend her enough!! -

We couldn't be happier with our experience with Katie/GSS! We came to her with a vision that was avant-garde, romantic, and moody, and she not only captured it perfectly but also enhanced it with ideas we couldn’t have imagined ourselves. The floral mock-ups at her studio were a highlight of our planning process; she made it both fun and productive, taking the time to listen to our preferences while also inspiring us with suggestions we couldn’t have imagined ourselves.
On our wedding day, everything was even more stunning than we had hoped. Katie’s artistry truly shone through, and we feel so lucky to have worked with someone who brought such creativity and heart to our celebration. Her use of elements like orchids, fruit, ginger, and unconventional textures truly set the tone for our wedding, creating an atmosphere that was elegant, romantic, and refreshingly unique — perfectly capturing the avant-garde vibe we envisioned. Highly recommend her to any couple looking for a florist who will make their vision unforgettable! -

Katie is a true artist. She was able to take our mood board, and create something really special within our budget. She was incredibly flexible with ideas on how to stretch our budget and still set the intimate and dramatic mood we were going for. We could not have been happier with her work. -

Words cannot describe how amazing our experience was with Katie and her team! She is extremely talented, creative and communicative and made our venue shine further into the romantic and intimate occasion we were hoping for. Every piece and detail was thought of and she has very cool pieces like vases and candles in her studio that made the experience and design so full service. She really helped me think outside the box but also help me hone in on what I wanted because given today's social media there is an overwhelming amount of choice in what your wedding can look like.
Katie also helped us in a last minute cinch when we needed her to decorate our cake with flowers and it was more stunning than I could have even imagined. I still dream of the arch that she made for the day and I am already thinking up occasions we can have that would require flowers so I can work with her again because all her work is beautiful. -

If only I could give more than 5 stars on this review! I could not recommend a better florist than Katie and her team. I found her beautiful work on social media prior to my wedding and knew instantly that she would be able to execute my vision even better than I could imagine. Working with Katie was truly wonderful! I shared some inspiration images (mostly from her previous work) and then completely trusted her to do her thing and was totally blown away. I received endless compliments on the flowers at my wedding and was so pleased with how everything turned out. It was such a pleasure working with her and I will continue to recommend her to everyone and anyone who is looking for a florist in southern California. Thank you Katie!! -

Katie and Going Steady Studios were the dream florist team for our wedding day. I wanted florals that were unique, but timeless and Katie understood the assignment! She has such an incredible creative eye and the best ideas - our floral design included pearls, garlic and ikebana! She is so talented and a delight to work with every step of the way. -

The dreamiest florals
Katie is clearly very talented. She knows how to mix and match the best florals and vessels to make unique arrangements.
She was so patient with me throughout the whole process - I can be pretty indecisive, but she never made me feel like a pain (even though I probably was!). Her expert advice and attention to detail made everything come together so perfectly.
And can we talk about my bouquet?! Oh my goodness, it was everything I dreamed of and more. I couldn't stop staring at it all day and still go back to my photos just to look at them.
Honestly, I can't recommend her enough. She’s the best! -

Do not miss the chance to work with this artist!
Katie did the most amazing job with the florals at our wedding. She has such an artistic and creative approach, and balanced a lot of different inspirations and requests into the most gorgeous arch, arrangements, and bud vases. I'll never forget the huge red orchids she surprised us with on the dining tables for our orchid farm wedding - it still brings a smile to my face! She is incredibly kind and easy to work with (as was her whole day-of team), accommodated our request to do a mockup and to increase our order last minute, and is incredibly professional. You can tell Katie puts so much thought and love into her work, I'm so glad we worked with her! -

Best Florist Ever
HIGHLY RECOMMEND ---- Going Steady is the best. Katie was able to take a vague description from us and make our florals a beautiful dream. Leading up to the big day, Katie was super accommodating & responsive. She was even able to help with some events earlier in the weekend last minute.
Her flower selection and arrangement style are out of this world. We didn't want overly romantic or classic, we wanted sexy & cool, and she delivered. So many people complimented our florals during and after our wedding, even those who say they don't really care about flowers said they were so cool. If you want something unique & cool, look no further and book Going Steady! -

Katie at Going Steady Studios made getting florals for my husband and I's small wedding at a local puppet theater seamless and fun! Katie chatted with me on the phone for about an hour and then I sent her my Pinterest with a few inspo pics. With that info she complied a thorough and clear proposal with three different options at three different price points for my husband and I to choose from. Everything from the initial call to the day-of delivery was flawless. And the result was everything I had hoped for. Colorful, textured, unique, and bold! -

Just Give Her All Your Money
I fell in love with Katie’s work before my husband & I were engaged. I knew deep down that she & her company, Going Steady Studios, were going to handle our flowers when we hosted our wedding. I contacted her immediately upon booking our venue.
I was right. Katie’s style is unique, playful, and architectural. We felt comfortable putting our full trust in her. We ended up giving her a color scheme, a general description of what we liked, and essentially said “go for it” after two table mockups. The photos attached are the final product. They are beyond what words can describe and fully indicative of the quality of work that Katie does.
We cannot recommend hiring Going Steady Studios enough. They’re the best.

An Absolute Vision
Katie from Going Steady Studios was our rock and visionary for our wedding. She executed everything down to the finest details! She met with us a few time to finalize our tables and view our venue. She had amazing ideas and challenges to block out certain areas we didn’t want shown for the ceremony with an amazing back drop and repurposed then at another site for our reception. Not only was Katie professional, but she was kind listened to us and is extremely talented. We were soo lucky to have her and recommend her to everyone! -

Katie was recommended to me by a friend, and it was one of the best decisions we made for our whole wedding. As we went through the planning process, I realized that I didn’t have a great way of explaining what it was that I wanted out of my bouquet and our copper wedding arch. Katie was able to extrapolate and ask me all the right questions. The day of the wedding, when I finally saw my bouquet, I was completely blown away. Her work is so dreamy and fanciful. Even if I didn’t have all the right words, I knew she’d deliver, and reader: SHE DELIVERED. -

When I got married, I knew I wanted something unique and special for my flowers. Working with Katie from Going Steady was fantastic! She was friendly and fun to work with, as well as quick to respond to my questions and emails. Her ideas were exactly what I was looking for! Unique and special! Definitely not a cookie cutter wedding. She really created a beautiful day from the bouquets, to the table arrangements. I highly recommend Katie and Going Steady Studios!
