Janel with Go 4 Baraque was an absolute gem. Always available for all questions and extremely professional in every manner. Their entertainment was perfect. We purchased them for our daughter and son in laws wedding and they are still receiving texts and calls saying how lovely the quartet was. Most definitely would recommend them.

Go 4 Baroque did an amazing job at our wedding reception and really put a classic and sophisticated touch on the night! We listened to recordings of many quartets in the area and decided that Go 4 Baroque was the best, plus they had a huge song selection on their website to pick and choose from. They were incredibly accommodating with the music I personally wrote, purchased, and adapted — seamlessly incorporating everything into our ceremony. Their performance during cocktail hour was a highlight of the evening, energizing our guests with lively, engaging music that transitioned perfectly into our live cover band.
Even more impressive, the ensemble drove over 2.5 hours to be part of our day, arriving prepared and performing flawlessly. Every interaction with them was professional, kind, and thoughtful.

A Magical Ceremony and Cocktail Hour!

You will receive compliments if you hire them for your wedding!
Our experience with Go 4 Baroque was a dream. Music for our ceremony and cocktail hour was a priority, so we booked Janel and her team very early on! Janel was always responsive and flexible throughout the whole process. Her recommendations were perfect, and I trusted her every decision. She was open minded about requests we had regarding where we wanted the string quartet stationed for our ceremony, even if it was a difficult request. I received nothing but compliments about the Go 4 Baroque team! Even our DJ at the end of the night said they were the most professional looking, focused, and best sounding string quartet he's ever worked with! That's a huge compliment for someone who has been DJing weddings for years.
I chose a majority of modern romantic songs for the quartet to play, and every single song was so beautifully played! Especially "You and Me" by Lifehouse being my walk down the aisle song. When filling out my song request list, if Go 4 Baroque did not have a recording of them playing a song from their repertoire, I used YouTube to search for a string quartet version for an idea. So, while I may not have heard their rendition of my choices before our wedding, they exceeded my expectations for ALL the songs I chose.
My hope is that our wedding video captures their beautiful music so I can listen to it over and over again! If I could make any recommendation to Go 4 Baroque, I would suggest to videotape themselves at each wedding and give the video to the bride and groom of their music. They are such a unique touch to add to your special day, and I can't recommend them enough!

Incredible Ambiance and Highly Professional!
Hire Go4Baroque. You WILL NOT be disappointed. We wanted to ensure special theatrical moments for our guests throughout the evening, giving them an experience to remember. I searched through many quartets in the Detroit area and G4B was by far the BEST, along with having the most varied repertoire of music - both popular and religious. It was a no-brainer for me. Janel is extremely professional and quick to respond, even suggesting things that I had not taken into account when planning. They were able to learn new special request songs for our ceremony, which made the day extra special and emotional for us. The guests are still talking about how impactful the ceremony was and how amazing the quartet was for the cocktail hour ambiance. I highly recommend going for Baroque! :D

We were very happy with our decision to have the Go 4 Baroque string quartet play the music for our wedding ceremony. We had a blast going through their extensive repertoire to select each of the songs we wanted to be performed for the prelude, processional, recessional, and postlude. Coordinating with Janel was a breeze, and we also were grateful that Go 4 Baroque offered a sound system for our officiant. The strings sounded great at our wedding and we thought it was a lovely part of the day.

Created an Elegant Event
When I got engaged, the first request I had about our wedding was to have a string quartet. Truly nothing else adds to the elegance of your wedding day than a beautiful live string performance. Go4Baroque was incredibly responsive and was excited to work with me in preparation for my wedding. On the day they were timely, safe, and performed beautifully. They were the first impression as the guests entered the venue for the ceremony. It set the tone for a romantic and elegant event. The music selection was amazing! We picked a lot of classic rock. Hire Go 4 Baroque
I am so glad I hired Go 4 Baroque to play at my daughter’s August 4 garden wedding in Orchard Lake. From a passionate Bach prelude as guests arrived to spirited renderings of contemporary selections for the reception, Go 4 Baroque made each moment of the event incandescent. I will never forget the way the quartet’s exuberant performance of Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March” framed my beautiful daughter and her handsome husband as they turned to face friends and family for the first time as husband and wife. That moment was sublime.
As any wedding planner knows, choreographing the perfect ceremony is tricky at best, but Janel deVries, the quartet’s leader, was in communication with me every step of the way. I highly recommend this quartet and look forward to working with them again.

Great string quartet!
Go For Baroque was both personally and professionally recommended, and we had a great experience with them overall. Janel was very responsive and easy to work with, and she made sure the group played everything we wanted for the ceremony. When we had to change our timeline two months before the wedding, she was able to work with our new schedule, which was such a relief! The musicians all sounded great and they played a good variety of songs--everything from classical to the Eurhythmics and LOTR. Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I planned to have a DJ for our reception but we really wanted a string quartet for the ceremony and the cocktail hour. Go 4 Baroque was a great choice! Their website is really easy to use and Janelle was easy to talk to and helped us stay on track. We love a lot of different kinds of music but were a little indecisive and so we talked about what we liked and they ran with it. They played before the wedding, which was great for our guests, and did a great job during the ceremony and cocktail hour. They play such a wide range of music that there was something for everyone. Magical wedding must-have
We decided to go with Go 4 Baroque after looking at several options because they were so transparent with their pricing and services they offer. Working with Janel was a dream, she's so professional and helpful, offering song choices and always quick to respond to emails. Husband and I started our service request with two musicians and a sound system for my officiant (another reason we went with them, I mean, who else offers microphone rental?!) Which really came in handy because otherwise it would have been to difficult to hear at our outdoor ceremony. We upgraded to a quartet a few months out and Janel was able to accommodate us.
The day of our wedding, the four musicians were on time and all set up well before the ceremony. They were all very sweet and the music was beautiful. I cannot recommend them high enough!

My guests raved about the quartet!
I can't recommend Go 4 Baroque enough! I wanted the elegance of a string quartet but with modern and eclectic song choices. Go 4 Baroque delivered on all points. My husband and I have an inside joke with dinosaurs and the quartet played the Jurassic Park theme song when we walked back down the aisle. I had countless people come up to us after the ceremony to let us know how much they loved it! One of my only regrets from my wedding is that I was too busy with family photos during the majority of our cocktail hour which made me miss the music almost entirely. Janel from Go 4 Baroque made everything go so smoothly. She and I spoke on the phone when I first booked them and then we emailed a couple of times with song choices. She was always very responsive and happy to make suggestions. I would recommend them many times over!

Wonderful addition to our day
Janel was very cooperative and helpful as we planned some specific songs that were not in their original repertoire. On the day of the wedding, the group came in and setup with little direction and played everything we wanted without a hitch. We received many compliments on their performance from our guests!

Working with Janel was a breeze! She responded quickly to email communication, and was able to coordinate musicians for my event despite it being a rather last minute request. All payment and music preferences were handled online, making everything easy to access, and invoices and receipts were all provided promptly.
The musicians themselves were marvelous. All my guests absolutely loved the ambiance that live music brought to the wedding, and the cello/violin duet sounded wonderful in the chapel. I would highly recommend Go 4 Baroque, and will definitely be contacting them if I have another event!

We couldn’t have been happier that we chose Go4Baroque for our son and daughter-in-law’s after wedding luncheon. They were married in California and we wanted to continue the celebration with family and friends who could not be there for the actual wedding. The music was perfect for our luncheon. Plenty of contemporary tunes that our young adult nieces and nephews and elder aunts and uncles all enjoyed. Our guests applauded them as they exited the room. I am still receiving positive comments from family and friends on how much they enjoyed the quartet. I would certainly highly recommend them if you are looking for a string quartet for your event.

Absolutely fantastic string quartet to work with for our big day. We requested a cultural fusion of songs (a mix of Caribbean and British sounds) for the ceremony, and contemporary for our reception. What drew us in first was their amazing name and what made us decide they were the string quartet for our wedding was their amazing song list. Janel was so great to talk with in the planning stages - we had an outdoor ceremony and I had a lot of questions about how that would work - Janel had all the answers! She helped me pick out songs that would work with the cellist/violinist duet that we decided on, and talked with me about sound at the garden we got married at. On the day of the wedding, it was overcast and there was a chance of rain. One of the musicians briefly came up to me before the ceremony, asked if we wanted to use the canopy they brought in case it rained, and when I said "yes please" he was off. I didn't have to coordinate anything else. Many of my guests complimented us on the music and said that it created a great atmosphere while they were waiting. Sure enough, it started downpouring right when I started walking down the aisle, but the musicians continued to play. It was a magically imperfect day. Thank you Go 4 Baroque for helping make it as stress-free as possible!!

On October 21st, I married the man of my dreams on a perfect day. Since I was a kid, I always dreamed of having a string quartet at our wedding and Go4Baroque delivered! Their music selection was perfect and the sound quality was unreal. They added such a nice, classic, elegant touch to our wedding. We had a string duet (violin and cello) for our wedding ceremony, and one of my favorite memories of the wedding was hearing them play for the wedding party as I prepared to walk down the aisle with our parents. They called ahead to ask about our music preferences, provided a mic and speakers for the ceremony, came and set up with little direction, and overall did a beautiful job for a reasonable price.

I love that we chose to use Go 4 Baroque at our wedding. I wanted to have an elegant feel at dinner, and they set the mood perfectly. Both musicians did an amazing job and were very professional. I can't really say enough great things about Janel and her team. She is very nice, easy to work with, and understands the chaos that wedding planning brings at times. Everyone at my wedding pretty much loved the musicians and all the song pieces they played. Everything was very professionally done and the musicians were very kind as well. I can't recommend this group enough to anyone who is thinking about signing up with their service. Don't wait, just do it, you'll thank yourself and your guests will love them. Many great music selections on their site, and they can even play pieces that may not be listed.

I was having an outdoor wedding and wanted music. I found Go4Baroque on wedding wire. I did alot of research and decided to go with them. The price was right and they were exactly what I was wanting for our wedding. It turned out beautiful and everyone complimented how beautiful it was. I would hire them in a heartbeat again! We were suggested Go 4 Baroque by our wedding planner, and they were absolutely fantastic! Very professional and easy to coordinate with, and they even played the Jurassic Park theme song for our wedding which was not one of their normal songs. They are the best! Highly recommend!!

Not only did Go 4 Baroque put on an excellent performance at our ceremony, they were also great to work with. Janel was very quick at answering all of my emails and phone calls and extremely helpful when it came to choosing music. They assign you an online account which made the planning process very organized. Very happy I chose Go 4 Baroque for our wedding!

Go 4 Baroque was absolutely phenomenal for my daughter's wedding. They performed for both the church ceremony and for the cocktail hour before the reception. They definitely set the tone for the ceremony & the music was beautiful. We've been to several weddings where the music for the cocktail hour was very loud & it made it hard to talk with the other guests. This did not happen with Go 4 Baroque and the music was spectacular. They listened to our preferences and took it from there and played the perfect set of songs. In addition, Janel was a pleasure to work with and offered suggestions and tirelessly worked with me through our changes. The members of the quartet were friendly & professional. I highly recommend them & I will definitely be using them again!

My hubby thought the concept of a quartet was cheesy- but as soon as we walked into the reception hall and were welcomed by the cool tune of Bohemian Rhapsody- he was hooked. The guests were delighted to be entertained by something other than "basic wedding songs" and the over used 90's DJ. The group were great to work with and they fit in to the atmosphere as if they were meant to be. Perfect choice for us as no one, nothing else would have done our day justice. If you're on the fence, decide to be classically unique- go 4 baroque!

they are definitely the highlight of my wedding. They were on time, properly dressed, and played fantastic music for my wedding. They were very flexible and were able to adapt the songs to the walking pace of me and my husband to reach a wonderful finish. During the prep process before the wedding, they were very responsive to my calls and took detailed notes of everything we requested. Definitely worth hiring them!

This string quartet did an absolutely FANTASTIC job playing before, during and after our wedding ceremony! It was held outdoors in a beautiful garden in Ann Arbor (with background outside noise), and they could be well heard throughout the venue. They were professional, played all the songs I requested very well and added an element of nostalgia and meaning for me as I used to play the violin myself. And as I'm a former musician, I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to classical music. And Go4Baroque exceeded my expectations! I'd highly recommend them to anyone else in the area who is interested. Additionally, they were more reasonable than a second quartet I'd initially contacted and very flexible schedule wise. :)

From day one Go 4 Baroque was easy to work with, knowledgeable, timely with communication, and very helpful throughout the process! We definitely enjoyed our experience!
The music was BEAUTIFUL at our ceremony! We received nothing but positive compliments!
Songs we chose were- "Somewhere Only We Know", "Don't Stop Believin'", "Cannon in D", "Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring", "A Whole New World" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight". Our guests especially loved the Disney songs for our Prelude and the wedding coordinator had to force my husband and I into the marriage license signing room to sign because we wanted to keep listening to "Don't Stop Believin'" after we had walked out!
It was a dream to have a string quartet play at our ceremony and Go 4 Baroque made it perfect!! :)
