I LOVE Glory House

I used glory house for my wedding and they were amazing!! The food was delicious and they were super professional. They were my favorite vendor by far. Will be visiting JoAnn at her restaurant when I’m on that side of town.

Great for our wedding

We worked with Jo Ann at Glory House and our overall experience was great. She worked with us to choose our menu and to fit within our budget. We had several guests comment how good the food was at our wedding!

Jo Anne is amazing!!! The food was delicious and so reasonably priced. They are open for lunch during the week which makes tasting a ton of different foods so easy. Jo Anne was such a big help, she handled our rentals and sat down with us to do an itinerary so she could make sure everything went correctly on my wedding day. As much as we changed things or the 1000 questions we had, she was very patient and responded immediately. She also was very helpful with the venue we had the wedding at, working with them many times she was able to help us a lot in that department. Glory House was fantastic and I have absolutely no complaints, except that Jo Anne should get paid more because she's so great at what she does!

Perfect place for a small wedding.
We were looking for a place that was affordable given we had a three month planning period. We submitted request to three vendors. JoAnn answered first. I guess it was meant to be.

We wanted one stop shopping to include the ceremony and a reception for 25-40 guests.

JoAnn was extremely professional. She responded to emails in less than 30 minutes most times and she answered the questions that I had. She also served as the coordinator for our wedding. She was very flexible in working with those in our party who couldn't make the same day rehearsal and either walked them through or talked them through their roles.

It was an intimate and beautiful ceremony. Our guests were pleased and the photography even mentioned the beauty of this "unassuming venue" tucked away in Old Irving.

I would recommend Glory House to others.

My day couldn't have gobe any better. All of my guest said the food was very tasty. Thanks to Glory house and staff for fantastic day.

My wedding was on April 13th and Glory House owner Jo Ann Goin was really worth every single penny! With Glory House, you get a venue and a coordinator all rolled into a pretty little package. She leaves herself very accessible for any questions you may have and when it comes down to coordinating your ceremony, she just takes care of business. For the bride who doesnt want to have to be the bridezilla on her wedding day and just enjoy it, Jo Ann takes over all the hassle so you can actually enjoy your day! The only criticism I would have comes from my guests and that is that her staff is so super fast and attentive, sometimes their drinks would be on the table, they would leave for a few, and then they would come back and they would be gone. Super professional and courteous woman and she runs an excellent business and her staff is really friendly. I highly recommend this venue to the bride and groom on a budget who don't want to sacrifice quality for their big day! Oh and a word of advice, really consider going with her preferred vendors!! I learned that the hard way and regret that.

Glory House did an outstanding job at our wedding! I was a little worried because Jo Ann was going to be on vacation on the date of our wedding but things turned out perfect. The Glory House staff worked hard to ensure that our guest were happy and well taken care of. We served blackened chicken, Salisbury steak, baked mac and cheese, black eyed peas and Caesar salad. Everything was amazing! The Salisbury steak was absolutely to die for!!! So good! We served the popular cherry mango punch with rum as our signature drink and it was a crowd pleaser. I would highly recommend Glory House! It’s great food at a reasonable price. Thank you Jo Ann and your wonderful staff for doing such a great job!

Glory house was absolutly amazing!! my wedding was great the food was Awsome!! I will recomend this place to anyone and i eill be using there service again for something in the near future!!

Glory House implemented my wedding with flawness excellence. Jo Ann worked with us to plan and implement our ceremony and reception. Glory House made the process very easy, especially since we needed guidance! This was our first catered event and I don't know whaty we would have done without Glory House! The food was amazing! I would recommend Glory House to anyone looking for a great value with excellent food and customer service!

Can't say enough good things about this vendor. She gives a free tasting and offers a free appetizer if you book on the day of your tasting. JoAnn, the owner, made herself very available and always answered the phone when I called. Not to mention she is VERY affordable!

YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY! All the guests loved it! Thank you sooo much! It was on time, hot and delicous! Didn't have too much or too little. Had just a little left over to take home so I felt really good they had the right portions down for the right amount of people. Don't want to run out, but don't want to pay for food you didn't have to. It was PERFECT! Thanks!

Jo Ann and her staff are very helpful! This is a one stop shop, but if you'd like to bring in your own centerpieces/decor you're able to do so! She provided a great custom menu (Carnival theme wedding), DJ, Bartender and ceremony decor (candle/unity candle stands, arch). She's also able to help you find vendors for you flowers, cakes, linens, entertainment.... They're great! I highly recommend Glory House!

Glory House Catering was wonderful. My husband was worried to do a buffett because he said the food is never tasty. Our food was delicious. Glory House made these bacon wrapped jalapenos that were to die for. The setup was also nice. Glory House was great in setting up two areas; one buffet and an appetizer placement in the gardens we had cocktail hour. They worked well with Events by S&J (my wedding coordinators) in setting up the food tables in the way we had discussed. I would definitely use them again for any other events.

Jo Ann and her staff at Glory House were top-notch! I had several other meetings with very well-known, high-end caterers in the DFW area, and they either let me meet with an inexperienced sales person or they dropped me as a client at the last minute when a higher-paying job came in. Glory House was the exact opposite. Jo Ann met with me personally, gave me an exact price in the first meeting, and met me at the venue and at the rental shop. Her staff made sure we were always attended to during our reception, bringing us food and drinks, always staying on top of the next item in the itinerary. They were extremely friendly and caring throughout the entire process. Had I not had the terrible experiences with a few of the big-name caterers in the area, I may never have found Glory House. But I am so glad I found them-they made my reception fun and hassle-free!

We choose Glory House Catering first for the economics. Then I went and tasted the food and I was pleased. Over the course of maybe about 8 months before our wedding when I had signed the contract with them, I would think of questions and emailed or called the owner, Jo Ann Goin, who always promptly answered my questions and helped me with whatever I needed. It is not just about the food. If you find a catering team that helps with the set-up and break-down (not the physical tables and chairs) but the decor and overseeing the orchestration of your reception (along with your band or MC) then you have to know that you can communicate with your caterer and that they are willing to help you, not just serve you food. Glory House does all this. They are an awesome team and the team leader of your party is a very important person. We had an awesome one who I had gotten to know months before our wedding reception night so that helped make us feel comfortable that she would make things run smoothly. Little things that you may not even think about as first time bride and groom (or not familiar with throwing a big bash), they will think of and walk you through. They have the personality that they will tell you as much or as little as you want, if you don't want to be bothered. I liked to be part of all the details so they were very nice with me. Granted, they were the biggest ticket item in our whole vendor list (cost alot of money to feed alot of people) but they worked with us the closest of anyone and I really appreciated the availability that provided of themselves to us in answering questions, etc. I would highly recommend them. I am a real bride. We were married in May 2009 at Texas Discovery Gardens. I have nothing negative to say about Glory House Catering!!!!

Their food is delicious and affordable. Presentation was beautiful and again super friendly. The spinach dip is by far the best I have ever had :)

We booked Receptions On The Main approximately a month before my daughter's wedding. Jo Ann Goin, the owner, was very gracious, and provided everything we needed for planning the entire ceremony and reception including appetizers, a full buffet, table and chair cover rentals, flowers, wait staff and an appointed host to organize the event. She also provided referrals for the bar and the D.J.

All of the guests were very complimentary on the elegance, food, and service from Receptions On The Main. I love the location in the old downtown historic area of Irving. The downtown square is very beautiful and Receptions on the Main caps the ambiance of the Heritage District.

I would highly recommend Receptions On The Main. Not only was the service and professionalism top notch, the cost was also minimal compared to other venues. I love giving my business to other independent business owners. Jo Ann Goin is one of the best.

There is no possible way our wedding could have been better! The attention to detail shows in JoAnns years of catering experience. Our guests raved and raved over the food, the service and the venue. We can't thank Glory House enough for making our wedding perfect!

Amazing food and Amazing service! The entire crew came into my wedding and executed like they were marines. I was really nervous about the transition from the ceremony to reception, and they hit a home run.

Additionally, my husband and I had requested a plate of food be prepared and waiting for us, and they did it. So, unlike many brides who say they never got to eat a bite...I had a whole plate of food, and it was wonderful!

You can't go wrong with Glory House, and they will be sure to execute to your every wish.

Being an event coordinator I was apprehensive about finding a caterer at the last minute and staying within a lower budget. I assumed I could only have one or the other...GLORY HOUSE DID NOT DISAPPOINT! They were extremely flexible and offered menu suggestions that kept the couple within their specified budget. I was happily surprised by the cost and the food arranged. It looked as if the couple spent much more than $700. JoAnn and her team were considerate and above all professional. I will definitely use them and/or suggest their services in the future. Thanks and many blessing to you!

Glory House Catering catered my wedding in July 2003 in Waco, TX., I can say that the food was the only thing on that day I did not have to worry about. We had decided on a menu and I changed my mind after a couple of days. I gave them a call to see if it was to late to change the menu and they had no problems with the changes and worked with me on my new menu idea. When I showed up at the reception I was blown away by how beautiful and elegant the food was. They helped my day be even more special. Everything was perfect. I have attend numerous events catered by Glory House Catering and everyone was wonderful. I have refered them to everyone I know.

Glory House Catering is exceptional and I would recommend it to anyone. The reception hall is elegant and staff is very professional. The owner, Jo Ann, pays attention to every little detail to make sure everything is done and to make sure we were satisfied. My daughter, who is a picky eater, loved the food. I have used this catering company for a business breakfast and a luncheon in the past and everyone loved it.

Glory House was truly a blessing for our wedding day. The entire staff from the very beginning was so great to work with. They helped us in every aspect from planning to final execution. The staff members were always very repsonsive and helpful no matter how small the question. We were completely blown away by how good the food was and we were constantly being told by all of our guests that everything was great. All of this service and quality and they were completely able to stay within our budget. Like a said......truly a blessing! Thanks for everything Glory House.

I used Glory House to cater my July 12 wedding reception at The Filter Building at White Rock Lake and could not have asked for anything better! Jo Ann is an absolute delight! From the first time I met her, I knew I was in good hands. She made excellent recommendations, was very proactive during the planning process and always offered prompt replies to any requests or questions. During my reception, she took on the role of a coordinator and ensured that everything ran smoothly. On top of all that, the food was DELICIOUS! I had several guests tell me it was the best wedding food they've tasted. I would highly recommend Glory House Catering & Bistro for any event!

Jo Ann and her staff were wonderful from the moment we first walked in for our tasting! Every detail was professionally taken care of so that we could truly enjoy our big day without worrying over the food. Guests are still raving about the yummy desserts!

My husband and I had our wedding at Dallas Heritage Village, also known as Old City Park. Glory House Catering is on their preferred list. We chose to work with Jo Ann Goin because I liked that she was straight to the point. She impressed me as someone who is a no nonsense type and would get the job done right. Do not be turned off by the fact that she is not fake and does not over sell herself. Jo Ann knows how to cater an event! I booked Glory House several months before our wedding and Jo Ann responded promptly every time I had a question. I had heard good things about them so had high expectations of her staff and was blown away at how great they were. I did not need a coordinator for the reception because Jo Ann handled the logistics of the evening personally. She was not hired to do anything regarding the ceremony which was also at DHV and yet she took the time during our final walk-thru to make some much needed suggestions. Our guest list was quite diverse as we had various people in from Europe as well as locals. We received numerous compliments from so many people on the staff, food, and service. I even had people come up to me during the reception to ask me who the caterer was. The evening went smoothly. I was very happy with the demeanor of Jo Ann’s staff. They were dressed sharply and seemed happy to be there. I would highly recommend Glory House Catering to anyone who wants great food, great service, and happy guests!!

JoAnn catered a buffet at my 200+ guests at my wedding. One of the main reasons I chose Glory House was that I provided my budget, and she created a spreadsheet with the choices I would have for my price range. She also will make appointments for tastings before you've booked - not all caterers will do this, AND provide an itemized list of the costs you can expect. She was always very responsive to emails and phone calls. JoAnn is very to the point - she won't waste your time, which I liked. The food was very good, and we got several compliments from our guests.

She had brought extra food to my event and ended up using all of it, so I was billed extra after my wedding - however, I'm skeptical that I had over 20 extra people show up to my wedding than what I anticipated. To be fair, I did not bring this up with Glory House. I just want other brides to know that they may need to anticipate extra charges afterwards if their guest count is higher than what they anticipated, or if their guests get too many servings of seconds (which they shouldn't need, because the portions were huge!)

I was pleased with Glory House's efficiency, service, and quality. The food was good, I felt like my time was valued during the planning process, and the wedding day went off smoothly.

This was great open and romantic space that was tastefully styled--great for pictures! There was also ample (and free) parking, which was a huge plus; and the appetizers were great!

ROTM is open and flexible, and a pleasure to deal with. The billing is simple, and the venue is setup to meet your expectations. I chose them because of the great location, good value, and most of all - flexibility. The dance floor was perfect for my group, and everything that was done met my expectations.

We would absolutely recommend Glory House as your caterer. Everyone was extremely professional and all questions we had were answered very promptly. They thought of everything (even things I didn't think of) which made our wedding day that much less stressful. The food was great and the display was beautiful. They even packed us a "to go" meal and cake for the hotel. I was very happy with Glory House and know you'll be pleased, too, if you choose them!

Great place for ceremony and reception. We opted to have the ceremony at Heritage Park and the reception at Glory House. We were able to have a fabulous wedding while remaining on budget. Event coordination for both the ceremony and reception were provided at no charge. The food was awesome and the staff worked to make sure that all my guest had exceptional service. The best decision that I made for my wedding was to have it at Glory House. No complaints!

Jo Ann was very helpful to me during my planning stage, and the food was delicious. I got a ton of compliments on the food and all of the chicken was gone by the end of the night. We had salad, roasted veggies, cheese tortellini, spinach & mozzarella stuffed chicken, and brisket with au jus. The only negative was that she was a little difficult for my coordinator to work with the day of. She had attitude about pre setting the tables even though we had agreed on everyone’s duties at the walk through the week before. I also realized the next day that there was no sauce provided for the tortellini, even though we had agreed on having alfredo and marinara sauce available. She did end up refunding me $200 for a verbal agreement that we had that I forgot to get in writing, which I didn’t expect.

Glory House catered our reception. We were very disappointed in the service, they were by far our worst experience with a vendor. We had a number of complaints, so I'll just summarize the biggest problems. The food that Glory House served at our reception was different from the food that we tasted when we decided to go with them-- there was no cheese on the eggplant parmesan at our reception! Who serves italian with no mozzarella? (There was cheese on the version that we tried at their tasting.) Also, one of our other main courses was served in tiny quantities and ran out almost immediately, although we paid for it to serve all of our guests. The bread on the tables was hard and dry. The kitchen staff was drinking the wine that we brought in (without checking with us), and we ran out before the night was over. We were also promised that they would pack up a little take-home box of food for my husband and I afterwards, since we wouldn't have much of a chance to eat during the reception-- but that didn't happen. Finally, to add insult to injury, when I politely raised some of these issues with the owner/manager afterwards, she was very rude and unhelpful. We did not receive so much as an apology. Again, we were very dissatisfied with Glory House and wish that we had chosen a different caterer.

I really really wish that I could do it all over I would not pick this place. I have to say that a wedding is a special once in a lifetime occasion for most people and you want it to be special and unique. Having said that I have to say that this place was NOT WHAT I EXPECTED IT WAS just ok.I was fully prepared to do all that I needed to make my wedding what I wanted it to be I never asked for anything extra, I did not feel like my wedding was special on my wedding day. I was very cost conscious and the price was what attracted me to this venue. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for, then there are times you get LESS. there were other venues that were slightly higher (by hundreds of dollars) and I went with cost, and on my wedding day so many things were not in place, and all that I could do was sit by in horror knowing I had chosen the wrong place to facilitate my wedding. In this place defense it is a reception venue and I addeded a park ceremony It was not at all suited for a larger wedding party AT ALL. Some other venues offer you the entire night before your wedding to decorate and prepare this place allowed us 2-3 hrs I had a team of 11 people and still was not able to complete all that I needed, and the way that I left the place was the way it looked for my reception, I was very sad and had no one to blame but myself. No bride should feel the way I felt that day, my mother keep watching the clock at the reception to make sure that we did not exceed time because she was told we were running behind, we actually had plenty of time. As me and my groom were taking photos he was told to find someone to take down decorations at the ceremony venue. If you are a DIY bride THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU! does not allow time or access to have a personalized and special wedding. This place is just for people that want to say I had a wedding NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THIS PLACE!! go to A Suite Event, or White Chapel Hill and Estates these places will sit down with you and treat you as if you are about to have a wedding. The only upside was a staff member named Donald! at the reception he was absolutley awsome!! he was the only thing other than my own decorations and cake that I got compliments on he was amazing and never made us feel rushed or that he was VERY BUSY DURING THIS TIME.. I WOULD LOVE TO THANK HIM FOR ALL THAT HE DID FOR OUR WEDDING!

My review of Glory House is just that a review! We DID NOT have an extra hour to decorate we arrived at 3:30 and we were walking to the park at 6PM that is an additional 30 minutes! The “Wedding Party” that consisted of the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen DID NOT HAVE ACCURATE SPACE AT THE VENUE TO PREPARE FOR THE WEDDING!! If I had dressed there it would have been ciaos ( I was not speaking of ceremony space) The only person that can truly say that services were implemented to perfection would be the ones who received the service AND THAT IS NOT THE CASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had no idea that things would go the way they did until the day prior and MY WEDDING DAY!. After the fact you can’t do and damn thing about it but let others know! And I could not speak on something until it happens. I had a view of what my wedding would be like as most brides do from the time I was a little girl, I was willing to do whatever I needed to have a wedding that I would be proud of and Glory House does not allow access for that. All that my review is intended to do is to warn any other bride who has a view of her wedding being a certain way, and to let who ever reads this know that things are already established at Glory House and if you want something special LIKE MOST WEDDINGS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE (go somewhere else). The day of my wedding as I was sitting in the car waiting for the ceremony to start I felt so helpless that I could not have fixed things (found the grooms bouts, had a ring bearer like my programs states, put the chairs back in the original place I was told they would be so that I could cherish my walk down the aisle). Your wedding day is one of the most important days that you will remember and all that I remember about mine is wanting to fix the things and DO IT OVER, DO IT RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!. Glory House may be perfect for someone who wants to follow the mold of other weddings and be told what to do and how. But I figured that the beauty of each wedding was the unique love and reflection of that. I am just sad, hurt and disappointed that I could not have that. Just be careful!! Because once its done its done!
