My mom, bridesmaids, and I had so much fun searching through the racks at Glamour Closet. There were so many varied styles available, and I really appreciated being able to browse and figure out what worked best on my body type. I originally had a mermaid style in mind, but I ended up going with a princess-style gown that featured French lace and a light sandy tint. It was absolutely perfect! And there’s no way I would’ve discovered this perfection on my own if it weren’t for Glamour Closet. They made me and my bridal party feel at home, and they even helped design a long veil that matched the dress perfectly. Everyone at the wedding couldn’t stop raving about my dress! -

Katie Sent on 09/28/2016I went to Glamour Closet by myself on a whim one Tuesday afternoon, no appointment needed. Lindsay helped me try on a bunch of dresses, two of them a few times each. She helped take pictures of me to send to my mom, and then when my phone died before I could call her, she even gave me the store's phone to use to call my mom and get her opinions.
She was super knowledgeable about the types of alterations that could be done, and helped me think of ways to personalize my dress. She couldn't have been more patient or sweet, and I'm grateful!
My dress was about 30% off the original price, and was in EXCELLENT condition. Dresses there ranged from five to six hundred to five to six thousand. (According to Lindsay, that is! I tried on a $500 dress but none of the ones I even looked at the tag for were over $3K. Many were sized 10-12, though there was a small section of larger sizes.
Update: I went back to get my veil there and Lindsay was once again amazing. It was a Saturday afternoon and there was one other bride but we were able to get help right away. She was patient and welcoming, and so very knowledgeable about the designers and items in the store. Thank you, Lindsay!!! -

Not only did they immediately understand what I wanted, they understood me as a person and took all of my preferences into account. Furthermore, they helped my sister try on a couple wedding dresses amidst other clients being helped at the same time. The best part was, a bride had left "my dress" to come back in an hour, my sales representative waited in the wings until she left, then pulled that dress for me to try on because I loved it so much. I walked out with that very dress about 30 minutes later. -

I visited the store during a very busy hour on a Sunday afternoon, and Jane was nothing but gracious to me during the entire process while still offering an honest, unbiased opinion. I came to the salon on a whim by myself, and Jane assisted me in taking as many pictures to send to my mother and the bridal party as my heart desired, and even helped me when I FaceTimed my mother and Maid of Honor. I would highly recommend Glamour Closet to any of my friends with an upcoming wedding, and I was so pleasantly surprised by the experience.
It took awhile for me to work out the logistics of purchasing my dream dress, and the store gave me as much time to contemplate my decision as needed. Lastly, they have fabulous gowns of every style that can work on every body type, and I brought home a dress that I never would have dreamed of purchasing at cost for 1/3 of the price.

User2429110 Sent on 11/16/2015I went to Glamour Closet by myself, not expecting to buy a dress but to try on different brands and styles. You cannot make an appointment, but I only waited a few minutes before I was able to peruse the store and mark dresses I wanted to try on. In my head, I had decided on a particular style of dress I wanted, and all of the dresses I chose were very similar. However, the woman who helped me insisted that I try on at least one full, A-line ball gown, which she thought would suit me perfectly. She was right. I fell in love with the dress she picked out, which also happened to be 70% off the original price and did not need any alterations. A perfect experience. -

Hannah and Marietta are absolutely wonderful bridal consultants.
PRO TIPS
Glamour Closet, despite advertising 30-75% off designer samples, is not a "budget" bridal salon. Dresses here typically start at $2500. If your budget is under $1,000, it's not worth a visit. (I also noticed that, the less expensive the gown, the worse the condition.) Most gowns are closer to 25-50% off - it is rare to find a dress at 75% off here. Don't expect to come in and find a 5k dress for $500. Take a look a the price tag before you clip a gown. The dress you fall in love with on the racks may very well be $5,000-$7,000, even at a discount.
Glamour Closet only carries dresses in sample sizes - bridal sizes 8 and 10 (the equivalent of street sizes 4 and 6) - with very few exceptions. I first visited the salon as a street size 12, and there was really nothing for me. I returned later as a street size 8 only to find that I still had very limited options. (Bridal size 10 - street size 6 - is the most common sample size.) As wedding dresses generally cannot be sized up, or sized down more than a couple of sizes, if you are significantly larger or smaller than a sample size it is probably not worth a visit.
Keep in mind that most of the gowns at Glamour Closet will require $500-$1000 in professional dry cleaning, alterations and/or restoration.
Be aware that you can rent or purchase similar wedding dresses from Borrowing Magnolia for much less than the prices of gowns at Glamour Closet. -
User1976857 Sent on 12/19/2014I purchased my wedding gown at Glamour Closet. It was a beautiful dress for under $1,000. The gal that helped me was extremely professional, patient, and was flexible to let me try on a few dresses several times. Once I chose "the dress" she was honest about the damage on the dress and referred me to one of their partners to do the work. I went to their referred vendor and was extremely happy. Alterations and some repairs were under $600 with an added bustle. I could not be more happy with Glamour Closet. Should I have decided to go somewhere else, my gown would have been $2900 + alterations and bustle. I ended up spending around $1700 for the entire thing. Happy Bride here.
