Great communication with Jessica and Emma from start to finish!
We had our ceremony at the Alpine base with reception at the main chalet. The Alpine site offered convenience for parking and smooth transition from ceremony to reception as it is located at the base of the ski hill next to the main chalet. They offer an outside bar that was available before and after the ceremony leading into cocktail hour. An inside bar was also available during that time.
Bridesmaids got ready at the top of the ski patrol building located next to the main chalet. The room is a good size with great natural lighting for getting ready. We had the building the whole day. It was convenient for the party to gather before the ceremony. Mimosas available for purchase from the staff. The groomsmen were able to gather in the main lodge game room and relax prior.
Giants ridge staff were very helpful with set up and take down. We were able to start decorating at 8 am day of ceremony. At the end of the night the staff removed the decor from the tables and placed at the front for us to be picked up the next day.
We had the Italian Dinner Buffett which offered a good variety for the guests.

Our families celebrated the most beautiful, happy day with us at Giants Ridge for our wedding reception! Emma and Jessica were very helpful, responsive to our desires and needs, and the entire staff was organized, prompt and friendly! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Giants Ridge was the perfect place for our wedding! I couldn't have imagined getting married anywhere else. Every part of the Giants Ridge property was so beautiful and so spectacular. During our wedding weekend, we were able to experience so many cool parts such as the lodge, the outdoor patios, the chalets, the restaurants, and the golf courses. All of our guests loved their visit! Aside from being an amazing venue, our wedding planning process was such a breeze all thanks to Jessica. She was so helpful, communicative, flexible, and responsive. We love her!! A huge thank you to all of the Giants Ridge staff who helped us make our wedding day run so smooth and make our vision come to life! We can't wait to come back and visit. 5 stars all around and HIGHLY recommend!! :)

The staff at giants ridge were extremely helpful and attentive to my needs/wants for my wedding ceremony. They were going through a few staffing changes during that time and each person I talked to was very helpful. They were very flexible and willing to work with me. Overall great experience!

The team at Giants Ridge truly made our dream wedding come true. During every step of the process the team helped us navigate the steps, were very responsive to emails and calls and provided ideas along the way. They sat down with us to learn our goals and expectations, helped brainstorm food/drink items to meet our cost needs and were open to unique requests. They helped us create amazing and affordable appetizers and signature cocktails to fit our needs and taste. The food/wine tasting with both our parents exceeded expectations and really helped narrow down items

During the setup, reception and takedown the staff were extremely accommodating and provided a level of professionalism beyond expectations. We had planned to have an outdoor wedding, but a monsoon engulfed the area and the team quickly and seamlessly changed the location of the ceremony and the cocktail hour. Tons of guests commented on the food and said “that was the best wedding meal I’ve ever had”. We couldn’t agree more. We enjoyed every aspect of the venue and service and with lodging next door our guests only walked 150 ft to their rooms.

We can’t thank the staff at Giants Ridge enough for making our dream wedding come true!

Desta and her team did such a fabulous job on my wedding .. super easy to get ahold of and very nice to talk to. This sure isn’t there “first rodeo”. Giants Ridge and their team do an outstanding job. I had a wedding of about 275ppl and timing for the plated meals, was very reasonable . They sure know how to cater to you. Can’t say enough good things about my experience with Giants Ridge, The Chalet, The Quarry, and Desta. Great job!

We’ve hosted our annual golf outing at Giant’s Ridge for quite some time. The service and attention we were given this year, was unmatched. We host 250 people, and the space and service were spot on. Occasionally we have a guest who gets a little unruly or rowdy, and the staff is very patient with each guest. They set up quickly and exactly the way we needed it. Food was ready in advance of the time we needed it.

We had a 3 day corporate event at Giants Ridge and I have to say overall how impressed I was with the venue as well as all the folks we interacted with. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, they responded to our needs immediately and took extremely good care of our large group. The food was fabulous!! The hotel rooms were spacious and clean. All the staff was absolutely top notch! I cannot say enough good things about our overall experience at Giants Ridge!

The entire staff was wonderful. Very responsive and efficient and nice to work with. The food was great including the appetizers. The presentation was nicely done. I would recommend the Burnt Onion to others. Our event was celebrating a milestone anniversary

Everything was perfect! The food was exceptional and the staff very helpful, kind, and accommodating to our guests. We received so many positive comments from our guests! So glad we chose Giant’s Ridge for our daugther’s wedding. Kudos also to Bridal Family Decorating and Eveleth Floral who made the venue look absolutely breathtaking and Pep’s Bakery for the wonderful cake and cupcakes.

We had a wedding here for about 290 people in June and it was PERFECT! Desta and Jim are a great team and so easy to work with. They catered to our every need, our specific food requests, and our floor layout. They hoped on the phone with our wedding planner numerous times to ensure we had the perfect day. Jim even pulled our chairs in and out as we were sitting and standing during speeches. I 10/10 recommend having your wedding with Desta and Jim at The Chalet!

We loved our experience at Giants Ridge. Our wedding day was absolutely incredible.

Pros: value, food, assistance with clean-up, views
- This was the cheapest venue we toured, but it did not show!! It was reasonably priced and absolutely gorgeous. No food & beverage minimum, which was awesome. Also, they help clean up after the night is over! A lot of people pay a lot of money for this service, which is just included in their service! Amazing.
- The food was fabulous. We heard lots of good things about it!
- The view at the Quarry Overlook was unbeatable. Just gorgeous and special and unforgettable.

Cons: staff turnover, communication issues, hotel frustrations
- When we started working with Giants Ridge, we were with Matthew as a coordinator. Quickly, he left, and someone else took over. Then, that person left. Our stable and consistent staff was Jess, who was amazing and professional, but has also recently left shortly after our wedding.
- The biggest frustration of the day was that we were supposed to get into the Gold Room at 7 AM. We paid to reserve this room. At 7 AM, it was still locked. I found staff at The Lodge (their hotel), who does not work directly with the venue, which creates communication issues. They told me that this happens often, but there was not much they could do. We eventually got in an hour late, which put the whole day on delay. Staff did not seem to realize their mistake (despite several emails and voicemails left) and did not apologize.
- The Lodge was a nightmare to coordinate with for a hotel room block. We worked with Doug, who was ridiculously slow with email responsiveness to lock in a hotel room block. Again, them not working directly with the venue makes the process more stressful and frustrating.

Overall, would definitely recommend!

Jess and Emma were amazing coordinators at Giants Ridge. They helped our vision come to life and supported us through all of our ideas as well as providing suggestions to make sure we had the most perfect day. Giants Ridge offered lots of space and flexibility. Definitely recommend The Quarry overlook for a ceremony location as well as taking pictures at the top of the chairlift. The Laurentian Salon in The Lodge also provides hair and make up services that were perfect. Overall Giants Ridge is budget friendly but do make room in your budget for their required caterer (which was delicious). The Giants Ridge staff displayed professionalism throughout our ceremony and reception from the buffet lines, to bar services, to having security to monitor the site.
Lodging on site or near the chalet was also perfect for out of town guest but note it can be expensive and does usually have a two night minimum. However all of our guests loved their spaces at The Lodge and The Villas. There were plenty of activities in the area for out-of-towners to keep themselves entertained for the whole weekend.
We had the most amazing wedding day at Giants Ridge and received multiple compliments from our guests!

We loved our venue and while not everything went exactly as planned, Giants Ridge is stunning!

The venue itself is beautiful. However, communication with the staff is terrible. My fiancee and I toured giants ridge in August and were ready to place a deposit to hold a date. Jim, the wedding coordinator, said he would get us a quote within five days and we could place a deposit at that time. After two weeks of not hearing back, I emailed Jim to follow up. He said it was just a busy wedding season but that it was on his list of things to do. About two weeks later, I received an email from Jim asking if we would like to reserve a date because he was getting interest from other couples. I emailed back saying that we would and which date we would like to reserve. It's been weeks and I still haven't heard back from him. I have sent multiple emails and left messages on his voice-mail. I even mentioned that we were open to looking at other dates if our first choice filled. Not a single response.. At this point, we've moved on to another venue that has been extremely helpful and responsive. I would save yourself the stress and go somewhere else. Their lack of care is obvious.
