There are not enough words to express how blown away and grateful we are for Giando on the Water - the gem of all wedding venues in New York City, hidden and somewhat under the radar, this venue is bold and refined and we're so glad we found it by simply walking in Domino Park in July of 2024. From the very first day we met with Joe and Liz at Giando, we knew we were in good hands - literally, as we shook his hand and confirmed booking our date - New Year's Eve 2025. From July 2024 until the very last song of our wedding, working with Giando was nothing but a joy. Joe and Liz are true working professionals - they know how to run an event and run it well. Their operational aptitude is unmatched and with every request, idea or vision we had to bring our dream wedding to life - they listened, responded and provided real feedback on how we can make what we want to happen, happen in a way that was operationally sound and would be successful for us. Joe is a MASTER operator - he laid our every minute of our wedding with perfection and Liz is a TOP notch seasoned organizer, reviewing every detail (which we had lots of) with precision and assuring no stone was unturned in bringing these details to life on wedding day. We met with them in-person multiple times leading to the wedding and their ability to work with us on everything we wanted to do was so appreciated. Now when it came to wedding day, we were even more blown away and our expectations were not met they were exceeded. Every single vendor involved (and we had many) we welcomed in and helped set-up and produce this dream wedding of ours. We had our ceremony inside the ballroom since it was New Year's Eve and they did an incredible transformation to flip the room from dreamy white pipe & drape ceremony to moody black/gold reception in less than an hour. We also had a STELLAR cocktail hour - the food was insane (especially the tortellini alfredo, eggplant rollatini & fried calamari) and the drinks were strong (which everyone appreciated). The cocktail room looked gorgeous because of Giando's wonderful holiday decor matched with the amazing NYC skyline views and our design. Then the reception was our dream event - the salad and pasta course set the tone for food and then the generous entrees (steak, salmon, chicken marsala) were even better than expected with tasty vegetables, potatoes & bread - more than plenty of food for any wedding and some of the most I've ever seen at an event! The bartenders did an amazing job during the reception too and the servers were incredible keeping champagne flutes full, wine bottles on every table, beer buckets on tables who wanted them and meeting every need of every guest. Theresa, our bridal attendant was the STAR of the show - she assured my gown was kept white even when a few guests spilled or food got on my dress (she literally cleaned my dress with a tide pen/club soda multiple times throughout the night), she set us up with a plate of every cocktail hour bite to eat, brought out every entree for us to try and never left my champagne glass empty or my husbands hand empty of a beer. She also helped me change from my wedding gown to reception look and made sure my veil during the ceremony was perfect walking down the aisle. The service team at Giando are best of the best, know what they're doing and do it well and with charm. They even allowed us to have a late night snack L&B Spumoni gardens vendor pop-up and helped with laying out hats to give away at the end of the night, special rock candy to go into our champagne, custom matches for our cigar vendor and assured our custom napkins, signage, etc. were where we asked for it to be. They made it so easy to bring in the vendors we wanted and perfected the wedding night in working so well together with each of them. This WILL NOT be the last event we host at Giando on the Water - the hidden gem of NYC with the most stunning view of NYC, incredible and indulgent food, top-notch seasoned service and a best in class leader - Joe. Amazing Fall Wedding
We had our wedding on the first weekend of Nov. Giando wedding experience is world class. Joe Leone and assistant Liz made for a truly memorable day. Guest raved about the food, the iconic nyc skyline views and the atmosphere. Joe made it easy and we did not need a wedding planner. The bridal attendants were very helpful and attentive. 10/10.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Giando’s 09/28/25 and we cannot recommend this venue enough. Joe and Liz were extremely helpful throughout the planning process, as well as the day of the wedding. Communication was excellent from the beginning. Liz and her team ensured the night went just as planned. Our guests were raving about the delicious food, attentive staff, and gorgeous views. This place is one of very few preserved gems from the Williamsburg I grew up in. 10/10!

Everything was perfect, but I want to especially shout out the staff, the service was incredible the day of our wedding. We felt taken care of in every way imaginable. Best night of our lives!
We had our wedding celebration at Giando's in August and couldn't have had a better night. The views, drinks, food, and service were all fantastic, setting the scene for the best time for our 200+ guests. We didn't have a wedding planner and didn't need one. Joe and Liz were communicative and collaborative and helped us pull off everything we wanted and more. And the night-of team was so attentive and kind. We got lucky with perfect weather, but knew there was a good contingency plan in place because the banquet room upstairs felt special no matter what. Couldn't think of a better place for a party in Brooklyn. Wish we could do it all over again!!

The Perfect NYC Wedding Venue!
Thinking of getting married in NYC? Look no further. This is your place! After getting married a couple weeks ago, our guests (and we) still can not stop talking about what a dream everything was!
Giando On The Water checks off all the boxes for what makes a perfect New York wedding: beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline, ample space for guests, delicious Italian food, white glove service, and a staff who have weddings (and other celebratory events) down to a T.
From the moment my husband and I met Joe, he treated us like family. He's the exact type of person with whom you'd want to plan your wedding. Joe is an old school, no-nonsense guy with integrity. He's passionate about the aspects of weddings that actually matter, and he pays no mind to all the overpriced NYC wedding consumer traps. He's a great communicator, organized, and you can tell he genuinely loves his job. Joe's assistant Liz, who's lovely, is a testament to how well Giando treats their staff. I love Liz's story about how she attended her high school prom at Giando, quickly got a job there, and never looked back! Liz does an amazing job making sure everything runs smoothly the day of your event.
If you're the type of person who wants to create an unforgettable wedding experience, I promise you will be in good hands at Giando.

Dreamy venue for NYC Wedding
We had our dream NYC wedding at Giando on the Water! The location and the view is absolutely incredible, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Joe, Liz and the team. We felt like family from our first meeting with the venue manager, Joe. He is easy to communicate with, and guided us with his experience with weddings and other events. His assistant Liz and the staff also put so much love and care into our wedding, and we cannot put into words how much that meant to us.
You cannot beat the location, view, and food at Giando on the Water. We would recommend to anyone planning a party or wedding to have it at this venue. Truly a great experience working with them, no notes! We cannot wait to continue to return to this place to celebrate future anniversaries.

Great service, views and experience
We had our wedding at Giando on October 1, 2023. We are pleased with the experience we had with Joe from Giando. The venue location is beautiful and Joe was amazing helping us from the beginning to the very day of the wedding. Joe has the best customer service manners and so much patience. He answered so many phone calls and was always calm and polite. We can not thank you enough for all your recommendations and everything went as it was promised when the day came. Perfect Day
Perfection. That one word sums up the experience of my daughter’s wedding. To start with, Giando’s has a knockout view of the NYC skyline, punctuated by the Williamsburg Bridge that looms just outside its window. Boats drift by, and sea birds dance in the breezes that come off the East River. High ceilings and gorgeous chandeliers make the room a spectacular choice for a festive occasion. The room is all windows, creating a feeling of expansiveness. Guest after guest commented on the spectacular setting.
And the food is excellent. We had dinner there a few times before the wedding and especially loved the penne a la vodka, Caesar salad, chicken Marsala, baked clams, eggplant parmigiana, and fish. All delicious! And at night, the city sparkles like a grand jewel, enhancing the dining experience. Magnificent.
In terms of planning the afternoon wedding, the manager, Joe, was extremely warm and welcoming, and guided us with professionalism and charm; he also checked in with us many times throughout the wedding to make sure we were completely happy, and we were. The maitre d', Rodrigo, was both efficient and gracious in overseeing the day went without a hitch, and the entire staff was wonderful. The food came out hot, which is not an easy task at a large gathering, and the bar area served quickly, without having guests waiting endlessly. The whole day could not have gone better!

Spectacular Venue
We couldn't have dreamed of a better wedding!! Giando is a truly breathtaking venue - you cannot beat the views! Plus, the food and service are top notch. We got married 3 weeks ago and people are still talking about the food at our wedding. Joe was amazing to work with throughout the process, including our COVID reschedule. Carmen, Liz, and Victor were all incredible during the actual event. We loved every second of our wedding and are SO happy we chose Giando. Amazing and fun wedding night
I had my wedding at Giandos on June 12, 2021. To start, the venue is absolutely beautiful and the views are breath taking. I had the pleasure of dealing with Joe, and whenever I had an issue Joe was willing to listen and find a solution. The food was amazing, from cocktail hour, to dinner, down to the wedding cake. The servers were attentive and catered to my husband, myself, and our guests. Not to mention, the bartenders were a hit. The few hiccups in the road are outshined by the amazing experience we had overall at Giandos for our wedding. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asks. Best Day Ever
We really did have a perfect wedding at Giando! Joe was wonderful to work with during planning -- always easily reachable, and very fair. Carmen and Alex were so attentive and wonderful day-of (Carmen even helped bustle my dress when my designated bridesmaid went MIA during cocktail hour!). We had a formal late February wedding, so we dimmed the chandeliers and let the spectacular view do the talking. OMG THE VIEW AT NIGHT I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. The value of venue, food (cake is included), and service is really incredible for New York City (reminder this was off-season, once the warm weather hits all bets are off). We really enjoyed the food, our guests raved particularly about the salmon in the mustard sauce and the eggplant parm (for our vegetarian guests). The only slight hiccup was some of our cocktail hour passed apps were different than what we had selected...but honestly there was still plenty of food to go around, and I was the only one who knew the difference. We also were pushing 200 people, which meant that anyone off to the sides had a limited view, so that's something to be aware of for bigger weddings. Bottom line, though: I had the time of my life at Giando.

Our Beautiful October Wedding!
Thank you for everything! My husband and I got married on Sunday, October 13th, 2019 and it was amazing!!! Everything was completely smooth and perfect! We booked our wedding in January 2018 and Joe was a true professional and amazing to work with every single step of the way! We communicated a ton and it was not even a bother on either end. Elizabeth, was absolutely fantastic as well! She was amazing to work with and helped to make our vision come to life. The food was amazing! The cocktail hour was amazing! All of our guests can not stop talking about how much they ate at the cocktail hour because the food was so good that they had to take the rest of their meal home. The options were endless and Joe made sure that we had all of the food that we wanted at our wedding. Thank you to the amazing staff for making sure that my husband and I were well fed. Carmen pulled me over and asked when the last time I ate was. I told her not in hours. Her and other ladies pulled plates from every station so my husband and I could have a table to ourselves and they even covered me with a table cloth. When we put in our dinner order, they gave us extra entrees because I could not decide between a couple of items. Carmen also sewed my bustle up because someone stepped on my dress and ripped the hook off, she took my little sewing kit and sewed it up right in the hallway for me. Alex made sure the guys looked good before we made our grand entrance into the party. The team is awesome. Everyone was awesome. I can not speak enough about the great time everyone had!

Unbelievable Wedding
I cannot speak highly enough about my experience having my wedding at Giando this past weekend 9/1/19! The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking, you could not ask for a more beautiful backdrop, the skyline is literally your decoration! Not to mention, the beautiful flowers they have on the patio year round! In addition, Joe and his team at Giando, especially Alex, Elizabeth, and Carmen were incredible. Throughout the entire process of planning and on the actual day they were so kind, professional, efficient, organized and fun! The food and the cake were also excellent, people were coming up to me all night raving about the cocktail hour food! I would recommend Giando to anyone looking for a venue for any event! There were no surprises, everything was literally exactly as Joe told us it would be and he was so understanding of any concerns we had any encouraged us to call any time with any questions. My friends and family kept saying all night that our wedding was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to and that was purely due to Giando. Thank you so much to everyone at Giando who made our wedding the best day of our lives! I can't wait to go back for dinner with the family!

The most idyllic spot for your big day
Giando on the Water is the picture perfect setting for a wedding. The view is unbeatable and the price is great for the location and all you get with this venue. Joe is a great organizer and helps make your dream wedding a reality! Alex the maitre d' made sure everything went smoothly on the wedding day and kept the entire bridal party up on what came next. The cake is included which is delicious! The steak is HUGE and delicious and cooked to perfection. The H'ours douvres are perfect and thank God there is an indoor and outdoor area for the coctail hour with air conditing as well as a patio with a view of Manhattan. The venue is so gorgeous that it needs minimal decoration and you can save on the flowers because the NYC Skyline is all the decoration you need and helps bring the party atmosphere to life. I, my family, bridal party and all that I have spoken to about Giando on the Water recommend it as an ideal venue for a wedding. Thank you Joe, Alex and the whole team for the most amazing wedding! I am truly grateful.

Wedding October 13, 2018
We had our wedding at Giando on the Water on October 13th, 2018. We researched and visited many other venues in the NYC area and once we saw Giando and all it had to offer, we knew we found our perfect spot. It’s no wonder you have to book over a year in advance to nail down a Saturday night event here. All in all, having our wedding at Giando was the BEST decision we made! Perfect for us, a couple who loves Brooklyn and appreciates a great Italian meal and exceptional service. Five stars for Joe and the Giando team - we will be back for dinner!
Here is what we loved:
-THE VIEWS! We got really lucky with incredible weather and got to watch the sun setting over the East River during our outdoor ceremony. They provided indoor options if you are getting married in the colder months, or a last minute rain plan. This form of insurance meant the world to us, and Joe ensured that our guests would be comfortable no matter how the weather turned out.
-THE FOOD! Cocktail hour, especially, was insane in a good way. A paradise of delicious Italian food!
They do not use email! You would think that this was a downfall, but they really have the entire process down to a science. You call them and they answer your questions immediately, or Joe calls back within the day.
-The simplicity of our options. We had a choice between 3 menus and then had the ability to enhance them if desired (aka a sushi boat, which Giando would organize). They were very accommodating when we asked about Kosher meals, and also allowed us to bring in Challah bread for a Jewish blessing and fruit to have in addition to the dessert Giando provided (which was delicious).
-Ease with setup and breakdown. This was extremely important as we got close to the wedding. We were allowed to bring our supplies, décor and favors to the venue and store them up to two weeks in advance. Apparently this is unheard of at other venues. It was nice to know that all our venue-related items were already there and ready to go. The staff and our third party day-of coordinators packed everything up after the event was over and we picked it all up the next day.
-The staff. We (the bride and groom) had a personal attendant throughout the entire affair bringing us food, drinks, and off-menu items like lobster and filet mignon. They made us feel like royalty!
-Guest experience. Our guests, especially those from out of town, enjoyed the views of Manhattan and the delicious food!

We loved our wedding reception!
We absolutely loved our wedding reception at Giando on the Water this past Saturday, 10/27/2018. It was a pleasure working with the manager, Joe Leone, throughout the wedding planning process. He was always so personable, professional, and responsive whenever I reached out to him with questions/concerns. Elizabeth, Joe’s assistant, was also incredibly helpful and sweet and did a fantastic job of setting up all of the decor that we brought in, according to my directions. Joe was detailed in explaining our contract and there were no last minute issues or surprises. Anytime we went to meet with him, we were greeted with a hug and offered a drink. Joe and his entire staff are true professionals who really understand how to host a wedding.
The only thing that we didn’t love about this venue was the fact that they don’t offer a food tasting. We were told to just come in for dinner one night and that we would be “taken care of.” We went in for my dad’s birthday and were given one or two free drinks- that was it. All things considered though, I would still highly recommend Giando. The food was phenomenal and everyone was raving about it. We added on the seafood bar to our cocktail hour and all of the shrimp, oysters, and clams were gigantic and SO fresh. If you’re looking for a venue that has a lot of different types of trendy food stations with new American fare, this is not your venue. But if you love the classics and delicious Italian food, you can’t go wrong with Giando.
Aside from the food, the view is the selling point of this venue. Compared to other waterside NYC venues with a view of the skyline, Giando was very reasonably priced. The outdoor patio for the cocktail hour was beautifully decorated with flowers and all of our guests were out there taking pictures with the Williamsburg Bridge and the city skyline in the background. The venue truly creates a “party” vibe, in a chic, yet classic setting.
Our wedding was gorgeous, the reception ran so smoothly, our Maitre’D and Bridal Attendant were stellar, and I can’t recommend Giando enough! So many guests said it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended.

Giando on the Water is the perfect wedding venue. Our ceremony and cocktail hour were held on the rear patio garden which allowed guests to take in the NYC skyline. Reception took place in the upstairs ballroom with dinner and dancing, and the view was even better. Floor to ceiling windows allow you to see the city during sunset. The view is spectacular, but it goes above and beyond to give you so much more. The wedding planning experience that Giando offers starts way before the wedding day. Joe Leone is incredibly flexible, responsive, attentive, and easy to work with. He uses his wealth of experience with weddings to guide you in the right direction and give you advice on decisions beyond that of a typical venue manager. Joe's team (Alex & Carmen) made sure we were where we needed to be at all times on the day of, and checked on us to make sure we were comfortable, fed, and had drinks in our hands. All the food was delicious (our guests are still talking about it) and the entire day was perfect! Giando is worth every penny, we highly recommend having any event you are planning here. This place is the perfect wedding venue based simply on the views that it offers, but it then goes above and beyond to give you so much more. A breathtaking panoramic view of Manhattan that spans the Statue of Liberty to the 59th Street Bridge was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony. During cocktail hour, guests were able to wander about the patio garden and take in the full glory of NYC's skyline. Moving up to the ballroom for dinner and dancing, the view just gets better. Floor to ceiling windows allow you to continue to gaze at the city as the sun sets behind it. But the amazing experience that Giando offers starts way before the wedding day. Joe is incredibly flexible and easy to work with. He is also willing to use his wealth of experience with weddings to guide you in the right direction and give you advice on decisions beyond the scope of a typical venue manager. Giando also helps by taking so much off your plate. The beautiful patio garden reduces the load on the florist, the kitchen offers copious amounts of delicious food from the cocktail hour right through to the cake (also provided by Giando). Another small, but truly convenient aspect is that guests each order their meal choice night of, so you don't need a dinner choice card cluttering up your invite. Joe is also open to letting you bring in special things rather than making you order them through him. This helps make the experience personal without breaking the bank. On the day of the wedding Giando provides both the bride and groom with a personal attendant . These two - Alex and Carmen - were absolutely amazing. They made sure we were where we needed to be at all times, but also frequently checked on us to make sure we were comfortable, fed, and had drinks in our hands. The servers and bartenders were all extremely friendly and efficient, keeping all 200 guests happy throughout the night. Overall a wonderful wedding venue, and we look forward to celebrating our anniversaries here as well.

As my fiance and I were planning our wedding for about 200 guests it was really important to have it in Brooklyn; as we wanted our guests to get a small glimpse into our everyday lives that we built together over the years. After researching endlessly and visiting several locations it was looking like we would have to relocate elsewhere if we could not find a place in our budget. We are so so glad we found Giando on a whim after we met with Joe and his assistant that day, it was one of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding. We wanted to have a modern affair and Giando had a vintage vibe and fairly clean look compared to more of the traditional catering halls we had steered away from and could work with our tastes. The huge selling point was the amazing view of the Williamsburg Bridge we would have as a backdrop all evening long and the huge outdoor patio where the cocktail hour would take place. After discussing all our wants and our limitations with Joe we were able to negotiate a reasonable rate for a wedding in Williamsburg on a Saturday night due in large part to having it during the "off season" in March. Joe and his staff were so great throughout the entire planning, answering every question we had, managing every special request, and planning out every detail and moment of our wedding timeline including the little details that we had never even thought of or considered. Our wedding reception at Giando on the Water was so amazing and better than we could have ever expected, we cannot thank everyone there enough. All of our guests had an wonderful time from beginning to end and have told us how it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to and think we spent a fortune on it when we wound up spending a fraction of that. Thanks again Giando on the Water for an unforgettable evening in Brooklyn!!

Perfect Wedding with a perfect view!
Joe and everyone at Giando on the Water were amazing and made my wedding as close to perfection as you could get. Unfortunately, it rained during my ceremony (the only day in October to rain), but we were set up under the tented area of the patio, so we could still be outdoors. There was so much going on that I got more overwhelmed than I thought I would, but Joe and everyone at Giando handled EVERYTHING, so my husband and I had no need to worry about anything!!! Also, all of my guests could not stop talking about how delicious the food from both cocktail hour (especially the suckling pig) and reception dinner were!!!! The wedding cake was also the best wedding cake I have ever had and the vanilla ice cream was the best ice cream I have ever had!!!!! Thank you soooooo much to Joe and his staff for making our special day perfect!!!!!!

My fiancé and I met when I was living in California. We did long distance for a year and a half until I received an opportunity to move to New York. Fast forward a year and he asked me to be his wife. I had always envisioned a California wine country wedding, or renting out a mansion in Santa Barbara for my venue, however he somehow talked me into having it in NYC. I agreed, under one condition; if I am asking 100 people to fly from California to watch us get married- it had to be in a venue with an incredible view of New York City.... And... that was within our budget (which was under the average venue cost in NYC of $60k).
We saw a ton of places from the Jersey side, Brooklyn and all the way along Queens. Then came Giando's.
We met Joe, the manager of event planning at Giando's which sits right under the Williamsburg bridge. Panoramic views stretching from downtown all the way to midtown filled ever floor to ceiling window in this four story restaurant/hall. And Joe... Dressed to the "T" with freshly polished shoes, a perfectly pressed suit and a face that looked like it could have come out of an "Life Styles of the Italian Rich and Famous" magazine! Everything about Giando's was on point.
From the planning (I am a girl with a lot of questions- hence my 20 page review), to the follow up, the details and most importantly- the day of coordination. Carman was assigned to me as a bridal attendant for the day, and Alex assigned to Kevin.
They were literally like our personal assistants, they carried tissues, wiped out tears, calmed us down (well maybe just me - I was so nervous!), brought us food and never let our drinks get empty (like literally, if you took one sip it was refilled)!
Our guests raved about this place being the BEST venue, ridiculously amazing food (we opted for a HUGE cocktail hour), and most elegant wedding they've ever been to. And the pictures... Oh the pictures. You MUST see it to believe it, 5+ stars, they are amazing...

Joe Leone is awesome! He was very helpful and pleasure to work with. Our wedding was on Sept. 25th and guests are still talking about how amazing everything was. My bridal attendant Carmen was the best! We had 2 maitre d's, Alex and Victor; they made sure we were taken care of all night, they didn't miss a beat. My husband and I had the most amazing wedding that either of us could have ever imagined. We would highly recommend Giandos for any event.

This was such a beautiful place to get married. My husband wanted the option of getting married outside if the weather permitted and this was the perfect venue for that. We had the first warm day after a horrible winter, and now will have the best photos of a gorgeous view and an outdoor ceremony for the rest of our lives.
Food was top notch - everyone said it's the only wedding they've been to with good food.
Bridal suite was the perfect place to gather our bridal party before ceremony (and to duck away to after!).
Staff is attentive. And they have lots of solid recommendations for other vendors (we booked our DJ through them, could have booked many more if we needed to).

My husband and I had wanted a unique wedding on the water. We chose Giando because of the magnificent view. What we got was the most amazing wedding that either of us could have ever imagined.
The staff was supportive and helpful from beginning to end. The owners Joe and John know their stuff and were always on top of everything. We mainly worked with Joe and he made the entire planning process easy and stress-free. My bridal attendant, Lucy, was awesome and helped me out with ANYTHING that I needed. Alex, our maître d, kept my husband and I very well taken care of without being too intrusive. The entire staff went above and beyond and provided impeccable service.
The food was fresh and delicious. We had so many options during the cocktail hour that our guests were shocked to learn we were also serving dinner. In addition to the stations and passed hors d'oeuvres, we added the full seafood package which was PHENOMENAL and included baby lobster tails - highly recommended! The dinner was also spectacular.
Moreover, all of our guests were blown away by the amazing location. You absolutely cannot beat the views. Our day on August 29th was sunny and on the cooler side with zero humidity and a slight breeze off the East River. Our pictures of the sky over Manhattan with the bridges in the foreground are insane. Our ceremony and cocktail hour were outside, beginning almost at sunset. We didn’t need much décor for the aisle as we had the amazing skyline. Our reception was inside in the upstairs room. It is very open with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Manhattan – again, because of that view we didn’t need a ton of flowers. With our simple centerpieces plus the lighting – the room was perfection. I lost count of how many told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to and that everything from the view, to the food, to the service was amazing.
This venue has everything anyone could ever want and I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

This place is amazing and I knew it would be great for my wedding the first time I laid my eyes! My wedding was a fairy take thanks to giandos and Joe of course. Giando on the Water is a hidden gem in Williamsburg, right next to the Williamsburg Bridge. The view is spectacular and can not even be described in words. Ceremony site is right outside on the water with a view of the 3 bridges, Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Freedom Tower, etc. Joe Leone and the team at the Giando's is unmatched - they all go above and beyond for you and your guests!

We got married here over memorial day weekend and it was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! The view was amazing, the food was spectacular, and the whole staff was friendly, accommodating, and helpful - especially the manager Joe! We had the time of our lives and our guests seemed to enjoy themselves....we keep hearing excellent feedback! We live in Brooklyn and wanted to get married in the area - we couldn't have asked for anything better.

We cant say enough about Giando. Our banquet manager, Joe, made our wedding planning so easy and seamless. The location was perfect, the food was great, the service was great, and our guests had a wonderful time. The view made the need for wedding decor minimal. Our maitre'd Michael was fantastic and took care of everything. Our attendant, Carmen, made sure that we were well hydrated and had a chance to eat throughout the day. The staff partnered really well with all our vendors and everything was smooth. Giando on the water truly is a gem in NYC

The view here is out of this world. Everyone kept talking about how beautiful it is here! The banquet managers were very responsive and willing to work with us throughout the whole process. The food was delicious and the staff very attentive and professional.

I wish I could show you pictures in this review. The venue is breathtaking...everyone said the view from there was EPIC! The food, service, everything was tip top...they took very good care of us.. All of our guests were blown away at the menu offerings and the excellent execution of the meal. . I can't say enough about the place!

We just had our wedding reception at Giando this past July. From the day (my-then-fiancé) and I went to see this venue we both immediately fell in love with it. We wanted something that wasn’t too far for our guests (we’re both native New Yorkers) and this place definitely surpassed our expectations. We worked with Joe, who’s very experienced at event planning. Joe answered all questions, laid out what we needed to know, followed up and made sure everything went smoothly. Our families and friends are still talking about the beautiful place, staff and food at Giando. We are extremely happy we chose this venue and recommend it!

I love Giando's on the Water and Mr. Joe! If you want a classy venue with an amazing view Giandos is the place for you. Mr. Joe worked with us from a list of 130 that grew to 260 + he made sure that we were able to fit everyone and everything was Perfect. Mr. Joe also followed up with us to ensure everything was great! From the moment we arrived all the staff were very attentive and made sure that my husband and I was happy. Mr. Joe recommended our florist Pedestals and Linens. Our wedding was BEAUTIFUL and people are still talking about the view, food and drinks. The best part was on the day of our wedding it was about to rain Mr. Joe came to the limo and said everything is Beautiful and so are you. I spoke to the Man upstairs and all with be Great. What a wonderful place! I had my wedding there this past March (2012) and I couldn't be happier with the service. The venue is gorgeous with spectacular views of the city. The food was amazing and the service outstanding. Joe, the owner, made me feel like family. He was great to work with and really helpful in picking out vendor's (dj, flowers, cake etc). He made planning my wedding a breeze. Everything got taken care of and I didn't have to stress at all. I'll be back for my 1st year anniversary for sure.

I can't compliment this place enough. They did an awesome job for my wedding. Joe, Alex, and Carmen made sure I had everything I needed and more. With the terrible forecast and few incidents that arose they took care of it all so that I could have a smooth wedding. I would definitely recommend this venue to any of you. We could not have gotten a better price on the venue either. Our pictures are beautiful and you can never go wrong with a backdrop view of Manahattan. I was totally thrilled with having found a local place where everyone could travel too easily that not only had excellent food but had such a beautiful back drop... Manhattan! You could only imagine how beautiful our view was and our pictures couldn't have been better! We found what we were looking for... an exceptional venue with a view and without having to cross any bridges!

We had a our wedding at Giando and it was the best experience! Joe was very helpful and made sure that the planning went exactly how we requested. You have to be very detailed with what you want and not assume they will know, as every wedding is different. My guests were raving about the view and food. We are satisfied with the quality of service and the price (which honestly can not be found elsewhere in NYC).
I didn't give 5 star overall only because the only way they can be reached is via phone or in person; they are not in tuned with the email option. Also because we weren't allowed to have bubbles at the ceremony.
But overall the experience was great!

Giando on the water provided great service throughout the night. They have made our wedding night extra special. The food and drinks were amazing! The decorations was set up as I had planned and explained to them. I had the inside outside garden area downstairs and everything came out beautiful. Honestly, we couldn't have been happier with Giando on the Water. The view left my guests breathless, and it was $25 less per head than anywhere else in the area! Joe, the Events Director was amazingly helpful - he doesn't do anything over email, which was slightly inconvenient for me, but I don't blame him as he would probably be getting emails constantly from brides!! The service was outstanding too. I noticed, but my guests commented on how responsive the staff was, and the quality of the food was great. All in all, this is a GREAT place to get married, but shhh....it's a secret because no one knows about it! That's the best part - all these savvy new yorkers who've been to weddings all over the city kept saying "how did I not know about this place?!"

After hosting a previous event at Giando on the Water and enjoying dinner in the restaurant on several occasions, there was no other venue that could compare. With a breathtaking view of the Manhattan skyline and the Williamsburg Bridge, it was exactly the backdrop we wanted for our Wedding. From the moment we walked in, Joe the Banquet Manager, made us feel like our Wedding was priority Number One. Throughout the planning process, Joe, Liz and the team made themselves available and accommodating. The outdoor ceremony space is beyond stunning and felt like our own private oasis. Countless guests have said that it was the best cocktail hour they’ve ever attended, with a wide variety of food choices and delicious drinks. The Reception in the upstairs Ballroom was spectacular, with more than enough space to accommodate our guests but, still feel intimate. From the salad to the cake, the food was top notch and our Guests raved about how delicious it was. The Maitre d’ Vanessa and her Team were very welcoming and made sure everyone was taken care of and felt cared for. They were all warm and professional. Carmen, our Bridal Attendant, made us feel like true VIPs for the evening and made sure our plates and cups were always full. If we could, we would relive our Wedding Day again and again. Giando on the Water is the place to have your New York Fairy Tale Wedding of the Year come true!

Exceptional Wedding!
We originally had my daughter’s wedding planned for October 2020. Joe was incredibly kind and flexible about changing the date to October of 2021. He was helpful, kind, and did the right thing. Joe was incredibly accommodating and professional, we were very lucky. On top of that, the venue is absolutely beautiful. The food was delicious, service was great, communication was easy and seamless, and everyone had a wonderful time! Thank you, Joe and everyone at Giando for a fantastic wedding! Highly recommend!

My new husband and I were so happy to get married here! We were able to do it all in one spot; from ceremony, to pictures, to an incredible party! The service was great, Joe Leone worked with us (and all our questions) from start to finish and even after, the food was delicious, and the views were spectacular (our family and friends are STILL talking about it)!! Worth every penny, we highly recommend having your event here!! You will not be disappointed!

If you are thinking of having your wedding here, do it! You won't regret it! Me and my (then) fiancé had looked at a few places, and when we saw Giando on the water we fell in love !! It was the view, the professionalism and comfortability we had while talking with Joe. We worried if we were just paying for the view or was the food gonna wow us too ... And it did. We got married on 7/16 and people are still ranting and raving about every aspect of the wedding. The view is a no brainier, the food- tons of it - was all amazing! The staff went above and beyond from Carmen and Alex to each and every bartender and server. I would choose Giando a hundred times over again.

We were originally sold on Giando on the Water by the incredible view of Manhattan, the capacity, and the relatively reasonable prices for Williamsburg. What took us by surprise is how great it was to work with Joe, how much our guests enjoyed the food, and how well the wedding-day staff performed. Even though the venue is on the traditional side, Joe and his crew were open and patient to making the wedding ‘our own’. We were able to customize our reception by bringing in a few outside vendors (including a pizza truck), and Joe was very flexible and willing to work with them. We would recommend, however, that Giando offer a way to taste some of the menu items they offer on the catering menu without the couple having to go to the restaurant and pay for a full meal. Ultimately, the view from Giando on a beautiful day blew away our guests and made for an amazing experience!

My husband and I absolutely LOVED this venue!!! We were so happy with our decision to have our wedding and reception here. First, we fell in love with the view - the venue is right on the East River and has a full view of Manhattan and the beautiful bridges. Planning was super easy but complete. Nothing was missed by Joe, our coordinator, who was such a pleasure to work with. The food was AMAZING - my guests were all raving, and we invited several "foodies". The cake was beautiful and delicious. I took 1/2 a star off for flexibility tho, because I had my heart set on a specific cake design, which was simpler than what they offer. However, I couldn't get that and had to go with one of six options they provided. Don't get me wrong, it was still beautiful but not exactly what I wanted. This can be remedied tho if you hire your own cake vendor. I also took 1/2 a star off for professionalism and responsiveness because they don't have email. It made it very difficult for me, in a job where I don't have easy access to my phone, to make time to get a hold of them. That being said, every time I was able to call they were available and answered all of my questions. Email just would have made it a bit easier. Overall, we loved the whole experience. They were outstanding and I definitely recommend working with Giando on the Water!

Overall I had a great time at my wedding and wouldn't have changed a thing!
PROS
- Value, I searched high and low and their rate pp is at least $15-$25 less than similar venues with a view in NYC, Jersey and Queens.
- Easy to travel to, directions to reach the venue is super straight forward.
- Food, was delicious. A lot of my guest told me how great the food was. I barely ate because I was too busy partying.
- Accessibility, if you have any elderly folks at the venue, it's easy to get around with the use of an elevator.
- Service, I had a great experience dealing with Joe. He is super friendly and easy to talk to. The staff the night of also was great.
- Aesthetic, the venue it self can feel a little bit dated but once the place is 'dressed' up it looks amazing! All my guest couldn't stop talking about how perfect it was.
CONS
- Email Communication, they don't do email. But since you always have to call Joe, he is always available and provides prompt answers. If Joe is in a meeting, just leave your number and he'll get back to you quickly.
- Flexibility, I took a lot of the offerings for face value to stay within budget. But I do feel like there were little things that shouldn't have been a problem but were (decor additions, favor coordination, table set up). So I do feel like if were a different type of bride with a lot of extra requests it could be challenging.
- Food tasting, there isn't one. So if you want to taste the food get ready to have a pricey dinner at the restaurant.
- Cake, is included within the venue price but they provide 6 specific options with no customization. HOWEVER, the cake was delicious and was a hit. I choose the white sponge cake with Cannoli filling. Of course if you want to bring your own cake you totally can.
- Payment schedule, the final payment is due 2 weeks out. I had at least 10 ppl cancel, they won't offer any money back or any sort of compensation. My advice would be to low ball your head count.

Giando on the Water can make your dreams come true! Joe is the guy in charge and although a little old school (he doesn't email) he gets things done! We rented the entire venue and had 185 people who were well fed and well taken care of the entire evening. The food was good, service excellent and you can't top the views at Giando on the Water. This place should definitely be on your radar if you're looking to get married in Brooklyn!

joe and his team at Giando were amazing. there was never a moment that i felt like i was being pushed or rushed. they always made sure i had a drink in my hand, food in my belly and made sure the groom was where he needed to be when he needed to be there. the food was excellent, the cake was beautiful and we felt like royalty. thank you giando for making my wedding an affair to remember....

- AFFORDABLE when compared to counterparts on the river like Waters Edge or Liberty House. Included cocktail hour carving station, passed and stationary appetizers, 5 hour open bar, 4 menu options (beef, chicken, fish, veggie & they upgraded the beef to Filet Mignon), wedding cake, valet parking, wine on tables, etc.
-Great view of Manhattan including Freedom Tower, Brooklyn Bridge, Williamsburg Bridge, Empire State, unparalleled
-Location was awesome, it made our entire wedding
-Its actually in New York City (Brooklyn) – we had people coming from out of state and I wanted them to have a NY experience that was truly NY, instead of looking at NY from NJ.
- Beautiful patio which is filled with flowers in the summer and guests took tons of pictures as the skyline lit up at dusk
- Guests loved the food! Got rave reviews on both cocktail hour food and dinner.
- Tons of valet parking
- The neighborhood has plenty of cool spots to take pictures. No trip to the Brooklyn Bridge necessary.
- Large bridal suite with view and bar. The provided complimentary champagne.
Cons
- No uplighting lighting in the ballroom, DJ must provide
- Funky “T-shaped” ballroom layout but it works
- Unsure if passed appetizers were actually passed or not. My mom said she got some from the table
- Made some contingencies – programs were in baskets instead of on chairs. Decor was placed with tags still on (I guess I should have removed them but I thought it would be obvious)
- No rice or bubbles at ceremony allowed
- Vendors and Bridal Party are only allowed on site up to 2 hours before the event. Meaning you wont have time for hair/makeup in the bridal suite. They expect you to arrive dressed & made-up This also means you probably will not see your flowers or decor until the last minute.
- They dont have email or wifi. You just have to call or make an appointment to meet in person.

From the outside the venue looks eh ~ But once you go inside it's jaw dropping. The reception room has floor to ceiling glass... beautiful views of the city, bridges, and water. If your day is perfect the ceremony will be held outdoors (there was a thunderstorm my wedding day) but the backup plan is in the reception room.
I recommended the venue to another friend of mine and they got married here a few months after mine. We got to check each other's wedding without the stress which was an added bonus for the both of us.
The biggest plus they only hold one wedding at a time so you won't run into another bride.

Joe was great. He does not do email but he is responsive over the phone. The venue is beautiful, staff is helpful and the food is great. Louie on the staff is also very helpful and friendly. We visited multiple times and they were friendly and helpful with my 100 questions the whole time. Overall a really great experience.

My Fiance and I are scheduled to have our wedding here in July 2016. The views are amazing. To date, John and Joe have been very helpful with the process and we are extremely excited about our big date. My only concern is that we will only have the bridal suite for 2 hours prior to the ceremony which will require the bridesmaids to prep in two places.

Joe was very helpful and very nice ..The help us with the extra details we wanted in the reception .The guy the had in charge of our wedding was very nice as well,we told him our waitress keeps on disappearing on us and he made sure that he came and was with us instead .He made sure we were happy.Great location,we had our reception outside and it was a gorgeous nite..you might just want to ask for for wait staff ,i didnt think there were enough to go around..

This venue is beautiful, but what you may save on per person rate, you quickly add by the "fees". There is a 20% gratuity, AND another "concierge" fee, which is 10%, so you wind up paying an addition 30% on top of your per person rate and taxes.
Not worth it.
Locaiton was not very flexible with time even though my event was the only event of the day/evening, and my ceremony AND reception was held there.
I lost my cocktail hour because at the last minute the ceremony had to be placed under the tent because of the weather.
I love this location and I was so happy to have my wedding there, but overall, it was not worth the money.
My reception was wonderful due to a very attentive staff and the decor by simplytymeless creation.
Very plain ballroom, needs lots of decor.

Horrible service.
Food is mediocre at best.
Bar is not top shelf or even close.
I asked my server for red pepper flakes for the pasta she handed me black pepper I asked for red pepper she just says “no” and walks away,
Espresso service. My brother asked for Sambuca with his coffee she brings extra espresso I ask for a Sambuca she actually takes my brothers pours a splash into mycoffee gives it back and walks away. Without even asking him. Food is mediocre
Never ate filet mignon that was chewy before this night. String beans undercooked. The best thing on the plate was the potato’s and I think they made 10lbs for the whole wedding as we each got like 3 small pieces

Wouldn't bother booking this venue, unless your desperate. The outside venue was nice, also the views were awesome from the inside. The food sucked,and ice cold, the service sucked,the staff were awful. You were buried with tables , should of had round tables, not oblong. The M.C didn't. exist during the reception, as when the couple cut the cake, the place was quiet. The music and sound system was awful , interference a lot of the time. If you need a great wedding venue, look elsewhere.
