Ed was amazing! When we were looking for someone to marry us we had found Ed online as well as our venue highly recommended him. He took the time out of his day to have a phone call with us explaining the process of the marriage license and certificate. When we talked about scripts he asked so many questions about us as a couple! When working with him with the ceremony script he sent us so many examples to look through! The rehearsal and the day of the wedding Ed was great - he walked us through what the ceremony was going to look like and kept our anxiousness to a minimum. We cannot thank him enough!

From start to finish, it was such a wonderful experience to be wed by Ed. We live abroad, so our first meeting with Ed was over Zoom and he made us feel so comfortable in his presence and we immediately knew he was the one to wed us. He worked with us diligently to create the ceremony that fit us. He also worked with us individually to perfect our complementary vows. Magical Wedding Ceremony!

Ed is a dream to work with and everything you would want for an officiant
From the very beginning to the end, Ed was exceptional. My husband and I are from Florida, and we searched for an officiant in Georgia. Ed took the time with us, got to know us, and always made sure all questions were answered.
The day of our wedding, he arrived early, met the entire wedding party, and even took his time to come to the bridal suite to make sure my nerves were calmed. He's uplifting, positive, a great speaker, and above all, the best officiant! He most definitely went above and beyond for us, and it couldn't have been more perfect! Working with Ed was an absolute pleasure! When we first met him we knew he was the right fit for our wedding as we was so passionate about his work. He gave us great tips on putting the ceremony together as well as the process for getting our marriage certificate. He provided a ton of ceremony script examples which were incredibly helpful in putting together the perfect ceremony. He was great to collaborate with as we finalized the script. He was fabulous at the rehearsal and of course the wedding day. He put us at ease standing up in front of everyone and did a fantastic job! I can't recommend Ed enough!

Our dream ceremony
My husband and I wanted a ceremony that felt meaningful and sacred but without any religious influences. Ed helped us craft the most unique ceremony which captured everything we wanted. We did a knot tying and customized our vows. He was able to share words that we wrote for each other without us having to read them (saved us the tears and pressure!). He is easygoing, thorough, and flexible. So many of our guests told us it was the most special ceremony they had seen. We cannot recommend him enough. Thank you, Ed!

Ed was great! We had to have a very last minute change to our wedding, where our officiant could no longer perform those duties, so with five days to go we had to find someone! Recommend by our Day of Coordinator, we found Ed! He was great, super professional, very nice and on time. Ed was the perfect officiant for us. We got married at The Foundry at Puritan Mill and neither of us have a church here in the area, so we didn't have someone top-of-mind. Our planner recommended Ed and he was wonderful. We consider our ceremony a bit more modern and my fiance wrote it himself, and Ed was great about helping him maintain proper structure and pacing for a wedding ceremony (obviously this was a first in authoring!). He was super responsive to emails and provided great ideas, quotes or formatting suggestions when we hit a block. In the end, we couldn't have been happier with our ceremony. Day of, Ed was on-time and super professional - he read it flawlessly and with just the right tone. I would happily and without question recommend him to anyone looking for an officiant for a traditional or more modern ceremony - he can do it all!

When my fiancee and I were planning our wedding we were completely lost when it came to our officiant. We decided to keep our Catholic and Jewish heritage out of the ceremony but couldn't figure out where to turn to next.
After calling various people/services we found online (none of which really made us feel good) we finally found our perfect match! Wed By Ed!!
Our initial consultation with Ed was extremely comforting and informational. He walked through the entire process, gave us tips, and followed up with samples....all while never "selling" himself. This really made us feel like we were making the right choice.
Throughout the entirety of the planning process Ed was always available and responsive when we needed him. He never rushed us to make decisions and always guided us in the right direction. Together we collaborated and customized a ceremony that really felt like our own!
On the day of our wedding Ed was prompt and looked great. His presence on the alter was amazing but never overshadowed us. It was the perfect ceremony! We got a lot of compliments from our friends and family.

If you are looking for an officiant who will provide you with a beautifully worded ceremony, let you help put it together, and who is extremely easy to work with, professional, and very responsive, look no further because Ed is your guy!!! I absolutely loved the ceremony he put together for us. He listened to aspects of our relationship and what we wanted our ceremony to encompass and personalized such a perfect ceremony. I found when wedding planning, you are constantly in contact with vendors, and unfortunately it can be very hard to communicate with some of them. This was NOT the case with Ed, I would personally like to thank him for not only the amazing ceremony- but making the process so easy and effortless!! He was very responsive and professional. Ed was incredible to work with! With all the other things that go into planning a wedding, finding an officiant can fall off of the radar. Then when you do start looking for one, you realize how hard it can be to find someone who matches your personality and the tone you're trying to set. Ed was very responsive throughout the whole process, and from the minute we first met with him, we knew this was our guy. He was so easy to talk to, gets you to open up right away, and does all the heavy lifting in terms of drafting up the ceremony and getting you prepared.
We weren't necessarily sure what we were looking for, so Ed sent us a variety of samples, some more generic, some more customized, and we were able to give feedback from there and make it our own. We barely had any updates to his draft because he hit it right on the head the first time. Not only was it a seamless process in terms of figuring out what would be said for the ceremony, but Ed made all the groomsmen (and my husband) feel completely at ease since he guided them at the venue. You can easily tell how experienced he is, and we got a ton of compliments on the ceremony itself, and Ed specifically, since he strikes the perfect balance of understanding that it's a relatively serious event, but lightening it up since in the end it's a celebration.
Ed also went above and beyond by giving a ton of logistical tips in terms of changing my last name, avoiding any issues based on the name change for upcoming travel, and he handled all the paperwork for the marriage certificate. We couldn't be happier with our decision to work with Ed, he was a huge help and we loved having him be part of our day!

Ed's ability to effortlessly mesh lighthearted humor with the gravitas required for a Southern wedding was a major asset to the operation. With a remarkable sense of ease and poise at the altar, he managed to bring the audience to laughter and tears with equal skill and grace. All of the bridesmaids and groomsmen — not to mention my wife and I — felt that he did a great job of just relaxing a high-anxiety situation and simply reminding everyone that they were there to have fun and celebrate a happy occasion.
In the days leading up the wedding, Ed made sure that we were comfortable with the scripts he'd prepared, that all family members' roles in the wedding were smoothly integrated into the procession and that nothing was left to chance. Afterward, he handled the filing of the marriage certificate, which gave us one less thing to worry about. Our only regret was that he wasn't able to stay and enjoy the party with us, because he was unquestionably a key part of the event.
I would absolutely, without hesitation or stipulations, recommend Ed's services to any couple seeking to find a way to reduce the inevitable stress that comes with getting married. He truly has a gift for communication and public speaking, and a warmhearted manner that is every bit as contagious as it is calming. Ed — you're the man, and we can't thank you enough.

Oh man. We met with so many officiants leading up to our wedding, and were starting to feel hopeless that we would find the perfect person. We wanted someone who was well-spoken, had a kind spirit and a great sense of humor...and who was flexible since we were going with a unique ceremony format. Ed made our ceremony wonderful. We wanted a nonreligious ceremony but otherwise fairly traditional in content, but we had no clue how to make that happen. In swoops Ed to the rescue with examples and suggestions to make our ceremony ours, and he was there every step of the way to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted. He had clearly rehearsed his lines and made the ceremony very touching and was very professional. We hired Ed as our officiant last Saturday, November 7th. We aren't a religious couple, so we knew we wouldn't be married by a pastor. After searching for an officiant for a month or two, we finally found Ed and met with him. We knew that night we were going to hire him! We wanted a non-denominational wedding that mainly focused on the life we built together. After speaking tirelessly with officiants and not feeling a connection with any of them, I found Ed on WeddingWire. We spoke on the phone and set up a meeting over coffee with my fiance and I. Our conversation flowed so easily and we loved Ed's work. After our meeting, we know we needed to look no further. Ed sent us several samples of past weddings he has done and helped us create our own personalized ceremony. He was honest and advised us when necessary. After weeks of emailing back and fourth, we had the perfect ceremony! We wrote our own vows but still wanted to repeat them after Ed as opposed to reading them (just in case nerves kicked in). Ed broke them up in a way that was easy to repeat, and we loved having our own custom ceremony. With quotes from Bob Marley to a nondenominational prayer, our ceremony was perfect for us. Our wedding ceremony was completely customized; many of our guests told us that they had never seen such a beautiful, unique ceremony and loved it.
Ed was very responsive and gave us good suggestions/examples. Ed speaks very well, in a clear voice, and appears great in our wedding photos.

My husband and I were looking for an officiant to deliver a non-religous ceremony for our wedding last weekend. After searching for awhile to find an officiant who would click with our personalities, we found Ed! Ed met with us first to get to know our history and expectations and we knew from the start he would deliver a beautiful ceremony..and that he did! I couldn't have asked for a better professional, committed and caring person to marry John and I. Ed is so creative and willing to work with you on making your wedding personalized. We have been getting so many compliments from family and friends about how amazing he made our ceremony. I recommend Ed to anyone and everyone!

Ed was a great officiant for my wedding ceremony! It was completely customized and he was great at sending selections, sending reminders for things like the wedding license etc.! Ed was also very responsive wish I really appreciated!

Ed was great! Our wedding was so warm and everyone commented on how perfect it was and a lot of that is thanks to Ed. From our first meeting he walked us though every step of what needed to be included in our ceremony and why. He also sent us several examples so that we could pick and choose the perfect text and format to fit us as a couple. He's a great public speaker and really made our wedding feel so special. He even submitted our marriage license for us while we were on our honeymoon!

We used Ed as the officiant for our wedding and were extremely pleased with how everything went. We met with Ed months before the wedding and immediately knew he would be perfect (we didn't even interview anyone else). Ed helped us write the ceremony and offered tons of suggestions and templates from weddings he had done before. He worked with the venue and coordinator to take all of the day-of stress off of our plates and the actually ceremony went flawlessly. Our family and friends thought he did such a great job that they couldn't believe he hadn't known for us years! We highly recommend Ed to anyone looking for a professional and flexible officiant that will tailor your ceremony to fit the wedding that you want to have.

I was so glad we got to work with Ed. He was very professional. He spoke so well at our wedding, you would think this was his primary job. He was very helpful and communicative in developing a ceremony unique to us. There was even an issue afterwards (we forgot to hand him the final payment on the wedding day) and he was very gracious about that. When there was a problem with our marriage license, he drove to the court house to sort it out while we were still on our honeymoon. Thanks so much Ed!

I'm proud to say that we got Wed By Ed! We found Ed via a preferred vendors list from our venue's website and enjoyed every step of the process with him from our first meeting to the wedding day.
Ed is very professional and made us feel very comfortable with organizing our marriage license paperwork and ceremony. After our initial meeting, which went great, he gave us 10-15 different ceremony examples to review and we took a little from each one to create a custom ceremony for us.He also gave us some tips for us to use during the ceremony since we didn't have a rehearsal. He is also filing all the paperwork for us with the state.
Ed was very responsive to email and we were so glad to see him the day of the wedding. He knew we were dealing with a lot of pressure and instantly put us at ease and was a very positive influence that day. Ed is the BEST!

Ed was fabulous to work with. From the first day we interviewed with him, we knew we wanted him to officiate our wedding. We are not super traditional, so needed an officiant who was willing to step outside the pre-set wedding ceremonies. At the same time, we also didn't want to write our entire ceremony - Ed provided just the right balance of guidance and freedom. We loved our ceremony and have received so many compliments from family and friends. And to top it all off, he was just an overall friendly, great guy to work with! Highly recommend!

Finding the officiant was initially one of the most challenging aspects of our wedding. My wedding coordinator suggested Ed Wilson (of Get Wed by Ed), and after we met him, the challenge of finding an officiant who would fit our needs was over.
Ed is so friendly and is so willing to work with you to make a ceremony that fits you and your fiance's personalities and personal tastes. We decided to use one of his pre-written ceremonies with a few minor tweaks...the ceremony flowed so well and the sentiments were so beautiful that we didn't really need to change much.
I've been to some weddings where the officiant makes too big a spectacle of him or herself (telling too many inappropriate jokes or sermonizing) and others where the officiant was very dry, monotone, and impersonal. Ed was able to somehow walk the fine line between these two extremes: he has such a warm speaking voice and kind personality, but he allowed my fiance and I to feel important when we were making such an important commitment.
I am so happy that we worked with Ed. The ceremony was absolutely perfect, and I could not have asked for a better experience!

Ed is the bomb.com (it might be an antiquated phrase but he seriously is). My husband and I are not extremely religious and we wanted a ceremony that felt unique to us. We searched high and low, desperately trying to find someone that vibed with us. When we first met Ed, we instantly knew we wanted him to be our officiant. He's got an incredibly laid back personality that puts everyone at ease. He's also got a great sense of humor and really worked hard to make our ceremony the way we wanted it. He also has the patience of Job because he handled a potential snafu with grace and didn't even bat an eyelash. I feel so incredibly glad that we found Ed- our wedding wouldn't have been the same without him!

Ed was amazing! Not only does he care about each couple he works with, he takes his time to get to know the values of each couple and provide them with the unique ceremony they deserve. He was so professional and kind that we instantly felt at home with him. He made our wedding ceremony spectacular and allowed our voices to be heard within the piece-he is a team player when it comes to collaborating on the flow and fit of the ceremony.
We couldn't have had the day we did with out him and his professionalism! Thank you so much, Ed, we will cherish the memories for years to come!

In searching for an officiant, we wanted someone who took things outside of "tradition". Even though Ed can be traditional, he encourages a couple to personalize their ceremony to make it even more memorable - and that's exactly what he did with ours. He has a gift for putting everything you want that means something to you and your partner together and make perfect sense. He's very kind, down to earth and passionate about what he does. That kind of passion goes a long way!

My fiancé and I made the move from Pittsburgh, PA to Atlanta, GA mid-way through our engagement, so wedding planning, especially finding an officiant, became very tricky in a new city. Luckily we found Ed from Get Wed by Ed and he saved the day! Ed was very responsive and helpful from the very beginning, and made us feel at ease with the decision. He has an extensive collection of example ceremonies and works with you to craft your own personal ceremony, which was very helpful. I would recommend Ed whole-heartedly!!

Ed is fantastic! He is very responsive to our requests and gave us good suggestions. We had such a beautiful and special ceremony, and many of our guests told us the ceremony is unique and they've never seen such a beautiful one. Ed speaks in a clear and nice voice, and he appears great in our wedding photos and films.

Ed married us a couple of weeks ago. We could not have been happier to have chosen Ed to be our officiant. Ed came highly recommended from great friends of ours who were married by Ed last year. Ed provided us a library of templates to choose from and templates that past brides and grooms had used. Ed was very responsive to our emails and requests to change the ceremony several times; even right up to the week of our wedding.
Our guests also complimented Ed on the great job he did.
Ed will file your marriage license for you after the ceremony so you can enjoy your honeymoon.

Working with Ed was such a wonderful part of my wedding! As someone who was planning a wedding from another state, it was such a relief to find Ed. He always responded quickly to my endless emails and provided such amazing sample ceremonies. He even sent us an awesome email to prepare us before the big day! During the ceremony, Ed was calming and peaceful- 2 of the MOST important traits for me. He gave us great direction and made sure everything went smoothly. Ed married us just a few weeks ago and we could not have been more happy to have selected him to be our officiant. From the first time we spoke with him, he was so easy going and interested in knowing what we wanted to do. Since we have never done this before, we definitely needed some help. Ed was great in providing us a bunch of templates from past weddings as well as advice on how to add in some of the concepts we wanted to add in. He had a great idea of having us each email him before the wedding sharing our thoughts about how we met, how we fell in love, etc....and he wove it into a beautiful story. Ed was also quite cool and calm on the big day - the mike did not work and he just smoothly transitioned into using his big voice. Our guests all told us how much they liked the ceremony and wanted to know how we found Ed.....thank you, Ed!!

We've met Ed about 9 months prior to our wedding and knew at our first meeting with him that he is the one. He is funny, very professional and such a nice guy. Ed was awesome! We were looking for someone who could perform a secular ceremony for us, and we couldn't agree on a friend to ask to perform the ceremony. Ed was incredibly responsive to us, and even sent us reminders as we crept closer to the day. He provides samples of real and template ceremonies that you then customize or write your own and send back and forth editing/commenting. It was a very easy process and our final ceremony felt very personal. Ed was there waiting for us when we got back from pictures, gave us some calming words, and didn't judge when I still had not written my vows about 20 minutes before the ceremony (I wrote them and handed them to Ed seconds before starting! Do not do this.). We got back from our honeymoon and our official marriage license was already in our mailbox waiting for us. I highly recommend Ed's services for your wedding.

Ed did a fantastic job for our wedding. We had a mutli-cultural wedding ceremony and wanted specific aspects from both cultures incorporated. We also had specific desires for the script and Ed implemented our vision precisely how we requested it. Ed listened to all of our requests, came to our rehearsal and wedding day on time and fully prepared. He conducted the ceremony beautifully and we received many compliments on it. Ed was wonderful! Our wedding was teeny and last-minute, but he was able to accommodate us on *very* short notice. He provided several examples of ceremonies from other weddings, and, with his help, I was able to take what I liked from each and piece together my own. He was very helpful, flexible, and personable. On the day of the wedding, Ed was great; the ceremony was flawless. He even helped take pictures, as we didn't hire a photographer. 10/5 stars.

From the first time my husband and I met with Ed, I knew I wanted him to officiate our ceremony. Between the comfort level, professionalism, and love of what he does I cannot say enough about him. We booked him about 10 months in advance and the communication up until the day of the wedding was great. He helped us with everything we needed, and allowed me to write my entire ceremony from start to finish. The day of, never would I have chosen someone else up there marrying us. And here we are over a week out and he is still helping us with my 10,000 questions about the marriage license(which he takes care of) there are not enough thank you's for him. He is a truly wonderful person, and I'd recommend him to anyone!!
