Out all of me and my fiancé’s vendors we had to work with the day of our wedding we are very happy to say that Marc was our absolute favorite. We had a consultation over the phone days before hand to get things straightened out on a timeline. We knew exactly what we wanted, and Marc delivered with ease. Marc assisted us with our wedding music and was nothing short of amazing. He consistent communication helped as he was on top of the plan. His music kept the party going even when it started to downpour at our outdoor wedding. He was extremely kind and personable with both families and even played Frozen for the flower girls. Marc is such a pleasure to work with! We had such long conversations about different kinds of music and just general things to which I felt like I knew him a little bit by the time we actually met. Very personable and wants to make sure he gets it right. Worth every penny you spend and I think that his service is very reasonable for the price you pay. He made sure to have everything downloaded on Spotify in case of lack of internet connection so that you had all the music you felt was important for that day without having to worry about what to do in case there was no reception. Karaoke available for those that like to do that! I thought that was a cool part of the services provided:) Helped make sure you had the music you wanted for each part of the ceremony which is great because I had no idea what to do initially until we talked it through. 100% Recommend!!

We hired Get Vocal for our wedding day. We had the most beautiful, smooth wedding and I really don't think we could have had such a smooth wedding without Get Vocal. He gave my guest a chance to share some words with everyone, which ment a lot to us. My nieces had made up a dance and asked Marc if he has a specific song, which he did, and the girls showed off their dance and made everyone's day. I would totally use the again for future endeavors. Absolutely amazing. My wedding went from good to over the top amazing.
I would like to start off by saying that the most special day of my life was like a fairy tale movie with all the perfect music in the background.
Mark (from Get Vocal Entertainment) was our DJ that day/night. I’ve never felt such a kinship with a DJ/ Karaoke business. Mark was like one of our dear family members. Mark if you read this we are honored to have had you on such a memorial occasion in our life together. Thank You 😊 for blessing us with your talent.
I had non traditional yet some traditional things in my wedding. I had the “Broken Road” cover by Selah to walk down the isle. Selah isn’t the top 10 group so I worried he wouldn’t find it. Mark was able to find the cover BY SELAH!!! As I walked down the isle arm and arm with my son the song fit perfectly! When I made it to the stage Mark faded the music so professionally as my son gave me away.
The sound was phenomenal!!! Everything with the music went perfectly. There was not even ONE hitch. Music is a mood setter. It is communication from the soul to the soul. If your looking for more than just a wedding DJ; if your looking for a professional that goes above and beyond you found it here.
Mark talked to me and together we built a soundtrack to fit MY WEDDING!!! If you want a fairy tale wedding, a simple country folk wedding, or an “I want to be a rock star” wedding you have found the right place.

Great guy and amazing DJ!
Marc from Get Vocal Entertainment was an incredible choice for our wedding. From day one, he was helping us curate our playlists and helping to reduce the stress we felt trying to juggle everything for the big day. With how chaotic everything leading up felt, we had forgotten a lot of key events needing music. But Marc was there to help us take care of those things too.
Our group got pretty wild throughout the evening, and Marc was able to sense the mood and provide the perfect music to keep things lively and fun.
He's also an amazing guitarist! He played beautiful music during multiple parts of the wedding, adding very pleasant ambiance to it all.

We hired get vocal entertainment for our 10/30/21 wedding. Marc was very attentive and responsive to every question I had. Darrin was our DJ for the event and did a phenomenal job. I got many compliments from the guests on how awesome our dj was. Darrin was able to read the crowd and kept the party going all night. Marc DJ’d our wedding this past weekend. During our cocktail hour, he pulled out his guitar and gave everyone an acoustic show for an hour. He is a very talented musician and our guests loved it!
He did a great job directing traffic all day - the ceremony, first dances & toasts, and dancing. We had a few enthusiastic partiers who had requests throughout the night, and Marc was happy to oblige. Marc was very easy to work with both leading up to, and during our wedding. Marc is absolutely wonderful! He provided our ceremony and reception music and delivered flawlessly. Our wedding plans changed quite a few times due to Covid, but he remained flexible, positive, and laid-back about the whole process, even though we were stressed out with it. He checked in with us every few weeks just to see how we were holding up and was always available if we needed to chat. His music list is endless and he was able to provide any song that was requested as well as acoustical guitar. He provided a mic for the officiant, lights and even sent pics he'd taken the next day to me- which was great since I didn't take any. We highly recommend Get Vocal and Marc!

Marc was an absolutely amazing DJ for our wedding from start to finish. He was constantly available for any questions or requests that we had throughout the whole process prior to our big day. He was able to setup in multiple locations at our wedding venue due to the COVID restrictions, and still made the event run seamlessly. He even provided mics and speakers for the ceremony so everyone, including our virtual guests via Zoom, could hear everything perfectly. We came up with a fun twist and had each member of our wedding party walk out to their very own theme song and Marc did awesome making sure everything was in order. We enjoyed dancing and singing karaoke throughout the night and will definitely be using him for future events!

Marc is so easy and laid back to work with and also a very talented musician with a beautiful voice. Get Vocal Entertainment has done several DJ gigs here at our wedding venue and has always gotten a thumbs up from clients whether it's soft and comfortable background music or getting the crowd up on their feet dancing! He was awesome! Music was spot on and he took our lead as to when to cut something short or when to amp it up to keep people dancing. First off, Cory is awesome.
He's very down to earth, and incredibly flexible. He knows how to make the event work and flow.
After sitting down and meeting with Cory, Get Vocal was our first and only choice for our wedding. Everything was so personal and easy.
At our wedding, Cory was extremely professional and charismatic. The music was perfect, and he was able to incorporate everything we wanted, and requests (however obscure) from our guests.
It was such a pleasure having Get Vocal and Cory as our DJ, we got compliments from our guests about it.
Top notch in every aspect. If we had to do it all over again, we would go with Get Vocal every single time.

Absolutely loved Get Vocal Entertainment! Devin did such a great job at our wedding! He talked with us multiple times before the wedding to insure everything was perfect for our big day. Can't say enough positive things about our DJ, Cory. If you are looking for a great DJ then look no further. Get Vocal Entertainment was by far the most affordable DJ service we found and I can't imagine a more expensive DJ doing a better job than what Cory did. He did both our ceremony and reception. He was on time, had all of his equipment with him and set up at both spots, and was very professional. We had a fairly substantial list of songs that we wanted to be played both for the cocktail hour and the dance portion of the night. I emailed him the list of songs in no real order at all and he made the list of songs flow perfectly without skipping a beat. Almost all of our guests at some point throughout the night or that weekend said something to us about how great our DJ was and how impressed they were. Thanks again, Cory for making our wedding that much better.

When I wanted live music at the ceremony site, they were honest in letting me know that the sound quality would be poor there, and instead made another recommendation...which resulted in a lesser amount paid to them. You will not be able to find a DJ as wonderful as Cory Short with Get Vocal Entertainment. From the moment that I meet Cory, I knew he was the perfect person to pull my wedding day together. My husband and I have completely different tastes in music and needed something in the middle. We gave Cory our main songs and he filled in the rest with songs we both were able to enjoy. I felt I was being "picky"; however, Cory reassured me we were not picky, but knew what we wanted and he appreciated this. Even when we could not get a hold of our wedding party to give Cory an alert we were almost to the reception, he took a "cue" seeing us pull up in our vehicle and played our "announcement" music without warning. We hired Get Vocal Entertainment for our daughters wedding with Cory Short at the microphone. His timing is spot on and kept everyone entertained. There was one thing he did which I thought was perfect. He announced to the venue that my husband had requested a dance with his mother. My husband didn't because he just didn't think about it. We choose Cory Short of Get Vocal Entertainment to provide the ceremony music, reception music, and Karaoke for our wedding. Cory was very professional and easy to communicate with. Cory told me just to trust him as far as the music selection went instead of choosing every single song of the day, he delivered for sure! I had several guests comment on how great the music was that was played during our event! Halfway into our reception it started to rain, me being the penny pincher I am decided to cancel the tent to cover him the day before, right in the middle of karaoke the downpour started! In minutes Cory moved all of his equipment under the reception tent. Being half water logged and some messed up equipment (from the rain) Cory started the music up again and the party continued!! I asked him to send me the repair bill for his equipment, and he completely refused!! We couldn't have been more thrilled with the services we received from this company! The word limit on this post prevents us from describing the full extent of our experience with Get Vocal. However, the short version is this: if music is important to you, we strongly advise against the gamble that is GV. Here are only a few of the issues we had.
Our request for our GV DJ was no music from after 1998 (oldies/motown mixed with 70s – 90s hits). He found this impossible and openly complained to our guests about our request, explaining that he didn’t know pre-1998 music because he was “born in 1987” (lol). In fairness, we didn’t specify this rule until a week before our wedding. At that time, he insisted that this request was no problem.
He was just hopeless all around. He played the worst song for our entrance; we could laugh that off, but when we politely told him that we dislike that type of music, he dismissed us and continued playing it because “it’s just a playlist.”
Once dancing began, two of our friends had to google “90s hits” and actually feed him songs. Then, despite emailing our first dance song as an mp3 in advance and being assured this was fine, he didn’t download it and chose to depend on Lake Lure’s spotty wifi/signal, failing to even confirm the hotel’s wifi password beforehand. He also didn’t know how to work his equipment and short-circuited the setup 10 seconds into our first dance, among many other issues throughout the night.
Cory was beyond apologetic and horrified when we told him (DJ said things went great!). He comped us the fee, minus the $100 deposit. Our excellent wedding planner worked with Get Vocal in the past and didn’t have these issues. However, that this DJ was even employed in the first place does not reflect well on GV’s professional acumen and standards.
We had an amazing night thanks to guests and all our other vendors, and Cory responded gracefully to our complaints. Still, this is the sort of info we would have wanted before giving someone so much responsibility on a day that doesn’t get any do-overs.

I had high hopes for Get Vocal. Our wedding planner had found us this company, and we agreed on the price. I personally LOVE music, and I had originally planned to make my own playlist for my wedding for that very reason. My fiance and I had decided all of the music, typed it up in a document, and sent it to Get Vocal along with some suggestions about music for the reception. Let me first start by saying that the DJ was playing the wrong song during our processional and had to be changed almost too late. The DJ also played some songs multiple times, as well as music that nobody wanted to dance to. Some of the guests and family members had suggested to the DJ to play more lively music, and the DJ fell through on that request as well. As I had mentioned earlier, my music suggestions had lively music that would get people dancing and I am not entirely sure if ANY was played throughout the night. I am SO SO SO very disappointed in this company, they should pay more attention to what the ones who are paying the bill have to say. Also, as a reply to my email, the DJ stated, "We will take extra care." or something along those lines.... I didn't see any extra care, and I would never recommend this company to anyone who cares about music.
