Teresa helped me with my wedding gown selection and let me say she knew exactly what I needed. I had 3 appointments and after my first visit Teresa had picked (what I didn’t know at the time to be) MY dress. I was hesitant and left empty handed. After 3 months I dreamed of having that dress. I came back and immediately asked her to bring my dress so I can put it on. Happy to say I found my dress thanks to Teresa !

Fantastic Bridal Store

I found my perfect wedding dress here, thanks to the hard work of the staff., I tried on dozens of dresses, and ended up with the perfect gown. They were always ready for me for alterations, and my dress was ready on time for my big day. They made everything easy!

Great dresses!

They helped me find my perfect dress! They listened to me and made sure that the alterations fit my need. Only bit of concern was that when they altered my straps, they made it tighter around my ribcage.

Irene is a Goddess

Irene, the alterations manager, personally took time out of her busy schedule to help me find my wedding dress. She knew exactly what style I was going for and was able to help me find the dress of my dreams within my budget. She did not let me leave unhappy. I appreciate how patient she is with you and your bridal crew. I highly recommend. Plus Gesinee's has the widest variety and selection of designer dresses in all of Northern California.

Wonderful Shopping & Alterations Experience!

I purchase and had my wedding gown altered at Gesinee's. The experience was fantastic! My consultant Evelyn was incredibly helpful, made great recommendations (for the dress itself and later the best size to order), spent lots of time with me, and was not pushy at all. She made it so much fun! Irene and the alterations team made my dress fit beautifully. The hemming of my dress was complicated - lots of layers! - and they spent lots of time making sure it was perfect. I also selected my bridesmaid dresses at Gesinee's. They made the sizing/ordering process super simple for my bridesmaids. Thank you, Gesinee's!

Great experience

the Dress I bought was from a new line from a label they don’t generally carry. They were having a trunk show, so I went in that weekend. I had found the dress online, but stilled tried on a few more dresses to be sure. They were very helpful and didn’t seem to mind me having a large group. I hadn’t intended to have 8 people, but it just kept growing. They were very accommodating and my dress showed up three months before it was expected. It fit perfect, so all I needed altered was adding a bustle and bra, which I had done at their alterations dept.

I got my wedding dress at Gesinee’s Bridal. I had a wonderful experience working with my bridal consultant and trying on dresses during our appointment about a year before my wedding day. There was a Christina Wu trunk show that weekend. I ended up finding a beautiful dress in her Jacquelin Exclusive line, and even before visiting any other bridal store in the area! I was also able to use the credit I got from purchasing a dress during the trunk show towards the matching cathedral-length veil. I also had a great experience during my fitting at the alterations location across the street. The women helping me were very patient and accommodating of the ways I wanted my dress altered and during my final fitting, my dress fit perfectly. I felt so beautiful and confident in my dress on my wedding day!

I've been to this location 3 times. Every time I came here they have been so helpful. Trying to coordinate 1 MOH, 2 BM, 1 BMJ, 2 FG has been a challenge. I don't know how anyone can have a larger wedding party. After several visits, we all came to an agreement. I can't say one person went above and beyond, because I think they all did. They stayed with us 30-60 minutes after they closed, to insure the right fit and didn't make us feel rushed. I knew we were at the right spot. What I also like about Gesinee, is I was able to text them photos of dresses that I was interested in. They provided me the price and pulled the dresses to help make it easier for us. Since we all live 30-45mins. away. I can't wait to see how the dresses look on my bridal party.

They offer dresses for your entire wedding party. The dresses I looked at for my bridal party ranged from $179-$229 (Alfred Angelo & Bill Levkof). This is before taxes/discount and $10 shipping. They also have a large selection of accessories, shoes and even cake toppers. The only down fall I feel is they don't have a large selection of flower girl dresses. So we had to purchase ours through a catalog.

Parking: Small private parking lot and street parking available.

I will update this review when the dresses arrive and alterations occur.

I got married this past April 18, 2015 and I felt so amazing in my Allure designed dress I bought from Gesinee's Bridal! My friend recommended this place and I was delighted I came here. Eliana helped me with trying on dresses and I was set on a dress but I figured I'd go shopping around and maybe I'll find "The Dress". I went to another boutique in the Bay Area and to my surprise the customer service sucked! Although I found a dress that I did love..even though I would've bought the dress, I just couldn't get past the lack of professionalism from the staff. With that being said, I returned to Gesinee's and I was determined that day to buy a dress. I asked if they had the dress I loved at the other boutique, fortunately they did although in a color I didn't want but they assured me that I could order the champagne/ivory color. I tried on their sample and I just knew that it was "The Dress"! And when Eliana told me that it was just $999...I was definitely sold! The other boutique was selling the same exact dress for $1699. What a deal!! I definitely recommend Gesinee's Boutique as well as their Alterations across he street. The staff is professional, attentive to your needs, and always friendly!!

I went to Gesinee's Bridal as a walk in and they were super friendly! I was welcomed as soon as I walked in and they gave me a tour of the store. I was able to browse the dresses and I met Theresa who is a bridal consultant. She was really busy but she took the time to pull two Maggie Sottero dresses for me. I didn't try the dresses that day but I really liked the service so I scheduled an appointment.

Review of my appointment:

Gesinee's called me the day prior to confirm my appointment. I gave them a list of dresses that I wanted to try on and when I arrived for my appointment they had some of the dresses ready for me. Theresa was super helpful and she helped me get into the dresses. I really didn't have to do anything but slip into the dress. She did everything for me and even though the dress wasn't my size she clipped the dress to my body shape so I can envision how it looks on me. I didn't purchase a dress that day but I knew that I found my dress so I made another appointment to bring my entourage.

Review of my second appointment:

Gesinee's called me the day prior to confirm my appointment. Again I gave them a list of the dresses that I wanted to try on. (I guess I was second guessing myself) When I arrived they assured me that the dresses were ready for me. It was a very busy Saturday morning and before I could get to the fitting room another bride had taken some of the dresses that were on hold for me. No Biggie! Theresa was able to find the dress and I was able to try on the Maggie Sottero dress that I ended purchasing. I said Yes! to the dress :-)

What an amazing experience from start to finish! I really liked the customer service I received from Theresa. She is amazing, friendly and willing to go the distance. Thank you Theresa!

When I began the process of shopping for my wedding gown, a friend of mine recommended Gesinee's. After combing through yelp reviews I decided to make an appointment. Joan was my consultant for the appointment. She was so kind and truly wonderful to work with. She had a bright personality that really made the process fun as opposed to stressful. She was very patient with me and my team (mom and maid of honor in tow!) as we browsed their incredible selection of gown samples. When she found out I was having a "Beauty and the Beast" inspired wedding she excitedly took us to the rack of Alfred Angelo Disney Bridal gowns. She let me take my time in trying on my selected samples and I never once felt rushed. As soon as I thought I had found "the one", she added a veil and crystal headband and dimmed the lights in the room.. something magical about that moment.. I was glowing. The dim lights reflecting off of the crystal beading on my dress truly elevated the gown's beauty and I was sold. Of course tears were shed. The purchasing process was simple and everything was explained very clearly. I was told that it would take possibly 6 months for my dress to arrive, but 3 months later I got a call saying that it was here! Tried it on, it fits like a glove. I cannot wait to wear my stunning Allure bridal gown (no, I didn't go the Disney route!) on October 17th, 2015. It was a pleasure working with Joan and all of the staff at Gesinee's.

I had a great experience picking out my dress. The lady was patient and kind. Unfortunately, when I returned for pick up my lady was gone. I worked with other sale associates as well. Some were pushy and rubbed me the wrong way. However, I still got what I wanted for a reasonable price. You just have to find the right person to work with. Overall, happy experience.

I was so happy with my experience here. My first dress appointment was here just to try on dresses. My consultant was Janice and I was very happy with the service that was provided. Janice asked me what my budget was, and took me to a room where dresses did not exceed that amount. (There was SO much to choose from!)

From there, I was allowed to choose as many styles to try on as I wanted and Janice brought in some suggestions as well based on my feedback. On my first appointment, I must have tried on at least 10 dresses or more!

I came back a second time with my mother. I was assigned Janice again, which I was ecstatic about! She brought back the top two dresses I liked from last time as well as new styles I chose and she chose. I ended up falling in love with a ballgown! During both of my appointments, Janice tried accessories on me as well as turned down the lights to show how my dress would look like in bright and dim lighting.

Please consider Gesinee's for your bridal gown search. The service provided was beyond excellent. Looking forward to my first fitting.

I went to Gesinee's bridal looking for my wedding dress.
I had an idea of what I wanted, and Janice respected that. Allowing me and my entourage to pick dresses that fit that look. Once we couldn't find anything I turned to Janice to see if she could pick some things that she thought would work.

Janice was AMAZING! She was so great at listening to feedback, patient and fun. She helped me find the perfect dress. She is one of the main reasons I went back there after I was unsure after my first appointment. I am so happy and so excited to wear my dress on my wedding day.

Staff was Friendly and kind. They Took my budget & style into mind and helped me find my Dream gown.

Alterations department was great, my dress came in three week before my wedding and they did not waste anytime. I had it home one week prior to my wedding.

I Love Gesinee's !!! I bought my junior and senior prom dresses over 10 & 9 years ago and now my wedding Gown.

I'm already looking for reason to go back and buy a Gorgeous gown. I Would shop here again & I Recommend anyone in the area or looking to check them out.

I loved my experience! Jennifer was so kind, patient, honest and sensitive. She let me pick my own dresses and pulled things she thought I would like. She made conversation that helped me feel comfortable. As a plus size bride, I felt more beautiful than I ever have and it was all thanks to jennifer. She cared for me, didn't rush me and wanted to make it the most special experience.

The alterations department worked so hard to make sure that every last detail was perfect, helped calm me down when something needed to be changed, and really made my vision come to life! They turned a plain, satin dress into the custom lace dress of my dreams! Chuy did wonderful work and the manager also worked on my dress and they both made my dress perfect!

I had looked at a couple of small bridal stores and hadn't found what I was looking for. I went to Gesinee's on a recommendation from a friend. They have a large variety and many of the dresses weren't my style but I ended up buying my dress there and I couldn't have been happier. I also thought for how beautiful the dress was we got a great a deal (under $1000). Frances helped us and she was fantastic! I didn't get my alterations there, so I cannot comment on that.

Gesinee's Bridal was about an hour and a half from my home but it was well worth the travel! My dress was gorgeous and the alteration team they have does an amazing job! I was so happy with my dress, my wedding jewelry, and my veil :)) They were always so nice and helpful.. And they had good prices!

My experience with Gesinee's Bridal was everything I hoped it would be. Jennifer was my consultant and she was amazing! I had brought 6 people with me and we were all treated like VIPS! Jennifer had my style down by the 10th dress which turned out to be The One! I love it, and I would wear it everyday if I could.
The alterations department was just as awesome. I had three appointments with them and each time it was a great experience. One appointment I was by myself and the ladies there fussed over me like I was one of their own, it was great :)

Gesinee Bridal was actually the second bridal store that I visited. The first bridal store, which was located in Campbell, CA and about 15 miles from my home, the sales rep had no clue about bridal dresses, unprofessional, and didn't have any customer service skills.

I was extremely happy and thankful to have found my wedding dress at Gesinee Bridal. Irene was the sales rep that assisted me and my mom. She is so nice, professional, has great excellent customer service, and knows her job well.

Even though Gesinee Bridal is located in Concord, CA (about an hour away from my home), my mom and I were willing to drive the distance becuase of the excellent service we received from Irene and the rest of the staff.

Not only did we purchase my dress, but we also found my mom's beautiful Mother of the Bride dress!

I had heard horror stories and was worried about coming to Gesinee's Bridal - but I am glad I went anyway. I was not charged for anything frivolous or over the top charges: I did not pay to try on dresses, i did not pay to have my dress pressed and ready for pick up and I did not pay to store the dress there. I visited the store twice and tried on a lot of dresses and my salesperson was wonderfully patient carrying dresses back and forth and giving suggestion and doing whatever I asked. The second time I went back, I had a much better idea of what I wanted and they helped me find the dress. As a matter of fact, they didn't have the exact dress, they had a *slightly* different version that was $400 cheaper - totally worth it!!!

When it came time to decide the size of my dress... first I got lucky because I tried on my size (in regular clothes I am anywhere from an 8 to 12, but with the gown I was a size 14 - a perfect fit. I don't understand how the numbers work, but I know they are different than regular clothing). Second, they showed me a size of recommended sizes per body shape/weight/height and ultimately it was my decision (they did not force *anything*).

When I went for my fitting, I was worried that the seamstresses would try to tell me what to do: not in the least. I insisted that all I wanted was to add a "bustle" - i did not want to hem the dress (I wanted to wear heels that were high enough - big mistake on my part). The point is, everyone at Gesinee's was very professional and they listened to what I wanted and did not force anything down my throat. I *highly* recommend this Bridal shop. In addition, if you don't want overly expensive gowns, SAY SO when you walk in and they will take you straight to the second floor. Lots of dresses around $1000. THANK YOU GESINEE's (by the way, I got married Dec 30, 07 - so I am writing as a 100% satisfied costumer, a month after the wedding)

After a less than stellar experience at David's Bridal, I tried out a smaller boutique. In my mind I thought small boutiques, albeit nicer, would have less selection and higher prices. This is not the case with Gesinee's. What I love most about this place is the variety of HIGH QUALITY dresses all within a FANTASTIC price. I cannot stress this enough. I thought David's Bridal was the place to find cheaper dresses. Not only did they not have as much selection as I thought for cheaper dresses, but the dresses were just that . . . CHEAP! They looked like bad prom dresses. At Gesinee's, I was able to get exactly the dress I wanted, the highest quality of the fabric I wanted, for even cheaper than my expected price!

Of course, not only do I want to rave about the selection, price, and quality, but just the experience as a whole. You have a personal assistant just to yourself (ahem DB) who actually listens to what you want and can really sense your needs and wants all within staying in your budget. The place to try on the bridal dresses is separate from the rest of the store which makes it quieter and more private (plus it's super cute!).

I'm lowering my review half a star in value because of the alterations. Although they were good and the dress ended up looking gorgeous, the price was almost as much as the dress. This was a surprise to me after my first fitting and although the bargain shopper in me knew that I could take it somewhere else and get it done cheaper, I took the easier route in keeping it there which I think was the best option. I wish they would tell you more about the pricing of their alterations when you buy your dress. For how fantastic a price the dresses are, I expected the same from alterations, BUT that also made it somewhat okay in my mind since I did get the dress of my dreams for so much less than I had thought. Just be aware.

Dream Team: Miguel & Irene

Without really knowing what to expect, a Google search led me to Gesinee's Bridal. I made an appointment over the phone and arrived to find a massive, massive collection of dresses. There's really no way you can peruse everything so come prepared with ideas, at the very least on the fit that looks good on you. Expect to spend at least 2 hours here. I shared with Miguel my thoughts and he started running around looking for options. I sat in the fitting room feeling anxious about what he would bring out. I wanted something a bit different (which is what every bride says). He brought out a few pieces which I said no to and he refined his choices as we went along. The last dress I tried (of 7 i think), didn't look very good on the hanger but he encouraged me to try it on just as a wild card. Guess what, that was the dress I said yes to! It looked stunning and It nailed my aesthetic (of different) completely. We ended up ordering it right then and there. It was beautiful. Thank you Miguel.

When it arrived, I got an email from Miguel to notify me. After an appointment, then it was time for alterations. Irene the alternations manager is a pleasure to work with, she is fun, lively and really good at what she does. She patiently listened to my thoughts and made recommendations about what would work with my body which I appreciated. My mom and I had a vision in mind for a unique sleeve for the dress. Her team was able to put it together as we imagined it. From Sleeve creation to bustling to hemming - they are so skilled and talented. I am a bride from out of the country and I flew in just two weeks before my wedding for fitting. Although they work very fast and were very accommodating of my situation, I recommend to brides to allow them time to work properly. After alterations, my dress was perfect and unique in every way. Great shop, i recommend

I just ordered my wedding gown from here this weekend and wanted to share my experience for other brides. Lots of info incoming.

I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, I literally made a same day appointment approximately 12 hours after I found out that apparently bridal appointments are a thing. They might take walk-ins but I really recommend an appt (it’s free) because you can have a dedicated stylist working with you and helping you try on the dresses.

My stylist that day was a woman named Emily and she was AMAZING. I’m sure the others are good too but I would recommend you ask for her specifically. She was so attentive and helped me figure out what style of dress I loved. She always let me wander around and grab any dress that I fancied, but also would point out if she thought that particular dress might have a detail or style that I wouldn’t like based off my usual preferences. She carried herself in a very professional manner. She actually is pretty new to this field but I think it’s to her advantage because her previous experience in customer service and education shines through. She also is great at politely hearing input from opinionated Mother of the Bride but focusing on what the actual bride wants.

One note though, I think she (and probably all stylists) is trained to always be very complimentary and never point out any bad features. I mean we brides are probably always the most harsh about our own bodies. But their were some dresses that I clearly looked better in than others whereas Emily insisted I looked amazing in everything. I recommend you bring a friend or relative who you trust to tell you the truth haha. I’m chubby and currently losing weight so there was a skintight dress that I loved but honestly did not do me favors at all but if I had been alone with Emily at the appointment she might have swayed me into getting it, luckily I found another dress that I loved more and showed my figure in a great way!

After I selected my gorgeous dress, it’s time for measurements which was done by a woman named Teresa or Theresa, I’m not sure how she spells it. Teresa is very abrupt and blunt. At first I was taken aback by her manner of dealing with customers. But honestly I think she is maybe a saint in disguise. Because she is so straightforward, she is able to make very realistic and persuasive recommendations regarding what length and size you should order your dress. She clearly has a lot of experience and it shows. I think she probably has built up this tough persona after years of dealing with brides who insist on ordering a size against her recommendations and then end up upset when it doesn’t fit. She ultimately lets you make any decision regarding your size but I really appreciated how realistic she was. I’ve lost 21 lbs so far and am planning to lose another 15-20, but she recommended I choose the dress size that fits me NOW and alter later if I lose more weight. Ultimately I decided she is an expert and chose to trust her suggestion.

Two other notes. I typically wear size 8-10 and I was able to fit into every single sample gown, which I think ranged from 6 to 12. The gowns you think will be too small have a lot more wiggle room than you expect. And the gowns that are larger can be clipped to show the right fit. But I think women who are very tiny or very overweight might have a tougher time. I have read elsewhere that for women requiring a plus size, there is a more limited selection. So if you require a plus size, it might be good to call ahead of time to check if they have plus size sample dresses (I imagine they do.)

Also, they had the dresses separated by price range. I chose to check the area with dresses under $1300 and that way I wouldn’t be tempted to even look at the other areas. PSA, a $1300 dress will of course be closer to $1500 once fees and tax are added. Not to mention the eventual cost of alterations. By the way, there is an alteration shop across the street which they recommend but I might check out the alternatives.

Gesinee's is great, tons of dresses. I found a dress on Pinterest that I loved and they had it and when I tried it on I knew it was the one! I also got bridesmaids, flower girl and MOB/MOG dresses there and even all the tuxes. Although the service in the Prom/tux shop is not as great as the bridal shop, my experience was still good and I'd still recommend them to others.

This review is for Janice. I came in for a 10:00 AM appointment just to check the place out, not knowing if I was going to find a dress or not. Right when we walked in we were greeted by everyone and Janice was super energetic which made me excited to begin my quest for a dress. We began looking and I narrowed it down to what looked good on me and what didn't. I didn't know that there was a section upstairs that was all all dresses at thousand dollars and under. Being that I'm on a budget for my wedding I told Janice that I would like to check those ones out. I took a peek around for myself and I found one that I insisted on trying On. Immediately I came to tears! I knew it was the dress!

As for the pros for this place: The staff is amazing. They have a ton of dresses to look at, over 3000. It was a comfortable place and I didn't feel pushed. Picking your dress is a huge decision and even after I needed some time to myself and they definitely gave me space to think about it.

As for the cons: The dressing rooms could be nicer. The lighting around the store is dull (but they do have Nice lighting when trying on), Also the store is a little old it could use some updating... But who cares about all that when they have beautiful dresses in beautiful employees!!

I loved my experience at Gesinee's! Everyone was so helpful and made me feel special. When I found THE dress they let me walk around the store and stay in it for 40 min bc I didn't want to take it off and wanted to make sure it was really the one! haha. The alterations ladies were really sweet and knew exactly what needed or didn't need to be done to the dress to perfectly fit my body. The dresses are such a good deal too. My Couture dress could have easily been over $6k somewhere else, but I got it for less than $2k. I know plenty of brides who recommend this place!

After going to about ten bridal shops (what can I say, I'm picky), I finally found my dress at Gesinee's Bridal. The 2 ladies who helped me listened and were very helpful. They had great dress choices within my budget. I even found a dress I was kind of eying at another shop for less here! The dresses are average price if not cheaper. The only thing I felt that was a bit more on the expensive side was their accessories, but that is just going off the accessories I tried on with my dress and the quick look at the rest of what they had. I was pretty nervous ordering my dress because of sizing, but Irene, who measured me, did a wonderful job helping me with this because when my dress came in it fit well. If you're looking for a beautiful wedding gown or bridesmaid dresses and good service, I would definitely recommend making an appointment and checking out Gesinee's Bridal.

I found the seamstresses, Irene and Aurora to be so helpful. They made all the differences in my experience. They listened to what I wanted and worked hard to accommodate me. They were genuine about wanting to do whatever to make me happy.

I was not happy about the manager of the store; I had problems with the size ordered and expressed how unhappy I was that she ordered a huge dress for me. She did not investigate then follow through and get back to me.

It truly was Irene and Aurora that made me satisfied and made sure I did not take the dress until I was 100% satisfied.

I tried on about 29 dresses before I found my dress here at Gesinee's Bridal. Robin was my bridal consultant and she was so nice to work with. Some of the reviews for this place on another review site aren't so great and I simply don't know why. I not only found my dress here but I found my bridesmaid dresses here too and ppl are still telling me to this day that my dress was the most beautiful dress they had ever seen and my bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning. Give this place a chance, go in with an open mind knowing that you might not find something right away. I wanted to check out other places too but I ultimately came back to Gesinee's. Be sure to ask for Robin. I gave her gift and she said in all her time working there no client has ever given her a gift. You have to remember this is the person that is with you in the dressing room helping you try on 20+ dresses!

Shopping for a dress was the least exciting thing for me, unusually as a bride. But they made the experience easy and had so many dresses to choose from. They were very accomodating to my family who had come along on the appointment. The alterations staff were a little quirky but did great work. My dress fit amazingly.

gesinee's bridal Is the place to go for bridalwear and formal dresses in the bay area I could not be more thrilled north of my friends who have also gotten married and gotten their dresses here. My wedding dress specification were very particular because I wanted to make sure that my dress was both beautiful and appropriate for traditional Jewish wedding. While they didn't have something off the rack they were completely open to learning about my culture and making something my own from a dress that I picked out Teresa is the ferry godmother of bridalwear and I could not thank her enough for her amazing input and help to make my wedding so special. While the prices are a little bit on the higher side I still would not hesitate to go back Here for anything that I need in terms of formalwear. Thank you also to tuey the seamstress across the street for making my dress as perfect as it could be an dealing with my multiple fittings you're an angel.

Gesinee's has helpful, sweet, knowledgeable salespeople. On my initial shopping visit, first visit back to try on my gown, and when we shopped for bridesmaids dresses, I felt that I was getting personal attention, made to feel comfortable, had plenty of space for me and my mom and friends to browse through and try on styles.
The ladies provided helpful suggestions, but were also good listeners and followed our lead when we explained what styles we were interested in. They have communicated well with me to follow up and let me know when the gown arrived, etc.

I liked Gesinee's very much. When I went for my appointment to look for my dress, our consultant (who was new and a bit shy) did a great job of pulling dresses that were similar to the styles that I said I liked. She also brought me some styles that were a little bit different to see if those were designs that I might like. I thought she was very receptive to my wants and thoughts. I had a slight alteration for my dress for the designer (there was a part of the dress that I did not want the designer to sew on the dress) and Gesinee's made sure that it was not included. The part I was most impressed with was their alteration department. While somewhat expensive, the ladies at alterations are very knowledgable and pinned my dress quickly, but just the way I wanted it. They know what they are doing!! All in all, I would go to Gesinee's again if I had to do it all over again.

I bought my dress and had alternations with Gesinee's.

Shop:

Elizabeth was my consultant. I came in with an idea of what I wanted and she managed to work with my budget and idea. I believe I was in a room specifically for "Under $1000". She even asked ahead of time if it was okay that she helped me dress (you should really go down to your underwear for this kind of dress fitting... she helped me get into the bustier).

The store policy is no pictures in dresses until after you agree to buy, which is pretty common in other stores I went into. The manager that measured me didn't seem too friendly, but when I returned for my dress inspection/pick-up, she was sweet as can be.

From what I understand, you can either pay in full or initially 75%... but I think 75% requires tax. Be sure to clarify that with your consultant first.

I received a call for my initial fitting and it went just as I expected. My dress was huge, because I had to go a few sizes up (I have the a plus-size bust and average waist). I finished paying the rest of the dress.

Alterations:

The alterations shop is directly across the street from the dress shop. I was told to give 4-8 weeks for alternations. I called to make an appointment; they told me that they would have the dress waiting for me there and I didn't have to bring it over.

Tsui was in charge of my alternations and she was fantastic. She gave me an estimate as soon as I asked, and allowed the payments to be divided in 2 installments. In the first appointment, she took the dress in everywhere and hemmed the dress.

During my second appointment, the fit and length were perfect. She then measured the bustle and asked to come back in an hour so she could sew it in. I came back after a few errands, and she taught my Maid of Honor how to bustle my dress. I paid the second half and I left the dress there after the second day for bead tightening and steaming.

By the third day, I just came to pick up the dress; no fuss.

The dress needed to be taken in, hemmed, and bustled for $400 (most of my dress was multiple layers of organza). Total alteration time was 4 weeks.

Overall, my experience was very good.

I went to Gesinee's twice before going back to purchase my dress. Each time I went in my consultant listened to what I said and pulled dresses accordingly. They never showed me anything above my price range or that was in a style I didn't want to try. They were extremely helpful in ordering my dress and veil and great turn around time.

My dress was gorgeous

My dress was beautiful and the alterations department was really tenacious when I asked them to cut my dress in half and sew it back together, lol. There was a couple visits I was afraid it wouldn’t be done in time but it came out great. A few safety pins were sill in my dress but no big deal.

I found my dress at my second appointment at Gesinee's and the appointment went great. Super accommodating, even let me take as long as I wanted in deciding.

The dress try on/accessories appointment did not go as well, the person assigned to me was rude and was even stepping on my dress.

Alterations - ladies be careful. I went to pick up my dress and they only hemmed the top layer so I had to drive back the weekend before we left for the wedding (this is about an hour north of me) They did a beautiful job in the end, I just was annoyed they didn't alter it correctly on the first shot. The bustle came out perfectly.

Gesinee's took very good care of me. They made picking out my bridal gown a delightful experience. They guided me to the perfect gown, even though it was not what I thought I wanted. They helped me understand I was wrong and put me in the perfect dress :) And their selection was absolutely amazing! They also helped us find perfect bridesmaid dresses and a fabulous mother of the bride dress, they did all our alterations, and they handled every challenge I threw at them. I had a wonderful experience with the people at Gesinees. Irene worked with me from the day we found my dress and for the next 11 months. She was a delight to work with. They have a great variety of dresses for all of the wedding party...wedding gowns from couture to casual, bridesmaids dresses of all kinds and also a surprisingly great collection of mother of the bride dresses. My only complaint is that they were a bit disorganized when it came to keeping track of our orders. They were having computer issuse which at times made communication difficult. But all in all I had a good experience there.

I knew the dress I wanted before I walked into Gesinee's. The bridal consultants were absolutely adorable and helpful. They made me feel so beautiful. I was kept informed every month on the status of my dress order - it was a rush cut. The dress needed significant alterations because I am only 4'7" and use a powered wheelchair for mobility. Gesinee's alterations department were amazing. They worked with me at each fitting and offered creative solutions to make my dress the most beautiful and awesome bridal gown.

The place has a wonderful selection and are very helpful in allowing you to try on what ever you want. They brought me my dream dress and I loved it so much! I got all of my bridesmaids dresses here too and they dyed my shoes and did all of the alterations.

Great variety

The purchase process at Gesinee’s was lovely. They had a large selection of dresses across a wide range of prices and I was able to find my perfect dress.

The pick up was very underwhelming and due to this I elected not to have them do my alterations. It did leave a bit of a sour taste on an otherwise great experience.

I purchased my wedding dress here and was very pleased! I happened to schedule my appointment on the weekend of a trunk show, so I was able to pick a dress that was on a GREAT sale. The lady helping me was amazing (Vanessa)!

However, because of the trunk show, the store was packed. I can't say the lady looking for a wedding dress in the dressing room next to me enjoyed her experience as much as I did. Her helper was not as nice. The experience is very dependant on which person is helping you pick the dress.

Overall pleased. Alterations were ok. I had to make several appointments to get it right. Better to go in the afternoon because they are not prepared in the mornings.

I found the dress I wanted at Gesinee's under budget and was so happy! The girl doing my appointment could have been friendlier and not have made me feel as rushed, but overall I was just so happy to find my dress for less than I was planning to spend!

SHOP:
My consultant was Vanessa and she was AWESOME!! She first asked what my budget was and made sure she did not show me any dresses outside of that budget. She was very knowledgeable of the products and very accommodating to my needs (bride) as well as my family.
The only problem I had with the shop is that they measure your bust, waist, and hips to determine the size dress to order. I'm usually a size 8 and I had to order a size 14! There are NO refunds or exchanges at this shop. Thus, after losing 25 pounds I obviously had to majorly alter my dress.
I also ordered my veil there which I regret. I paid way too much for it.

ALTERATIONS:
Something I did NOT know was that the Alteration Department is completely seperate from the shop. Service wise, they were "ok." The only problem I had was that my dress was NOT ready for pick up. Luckily I scheduled my dress to be picked up 4 days prior to the wedding. If it had been the day before, I would have been screwed. I did not recieve a call confirming my appointment nor informing me that my dress was not ready. Also, the price for alteration was outrageous. I only went with them because of their experiences with wedding dresses and I did not know where else to go.

Overall, so-so expereience. Future brides...go with caution.

Overall, we were wary of the bad reviews we had read about Gesinee's but they had a dress that I loved so we bought it from them. The alterations went very smoothly. I worked with Barbara from start to finish- she runs the alterations department but I was lucky enough to meet with her the first time I went in to look at dresses. She was not pushy and gave me the privacy I needed when changing. She was super nice and the groom's mom liked her so much that she bought her dress there too. I can't vouch for any other employees but Barbara was great. If you go, definitely request her.

Gesinee's gets a bad rap on some review sites and I don't know why. They were great with me. I went to many high end bridal shops and had worse service than I received at Gesinee's. They are priced right, they are well established, and they have tons of dresses. Try them.

I got my bridal gown from Gesinee's and took it to their alterations center. I'd recommend their store for their selection of dresses but would NOT recommend their alterations center. The person who does your measurements is not the same person who does the actual sewing or alterations. I went back several times because they forgot to do things or fix things they were supposed to fix the last time. They are definitely overpriced. When I went in to pick up my dress 5 days before my wedding there were things that were not done and I had to wait an hour for them to fix it. Even after that hour and after putting it again, the woman was sewing something on me because it wasn't done! It was pretty ridiculous. My sash has a bunch of pin holes in it and I just didn't have the energy to deal with it. I spoke to a manager at the Gesinee's shop about it but it didn't seem like she could (or would) do anything about it. Overall, my dress finally looks good, but it wasn't worth the headaches, commute, and having to be on top of every detail they said they would fix to go here for alterations. If you get your dress from the Gesinee's shop, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for the alterations. It's the last type of stress we need as brides!

My wedding dress was amazing! however when it came in their where some beads loose and hanging off (which was fixed during alterations) but for what i paid and how long i waited (well passed the 18 weeks delivery time) i had expected perfection. other then that, it was pleasant for the bridal gown.
the bridesmaid dresses..... lets just say don't go there we had more issues then i thought possible it was not worth it.

The first time I visited Gesinee's was to purchase my wedding gown. I had a wonderful consultant, Elena and a fantastic experience! I was extatic about my gown and so happy I had gone to Gesinees. I purchased my gown and even received a thank you from Elena for buying my gown there. I was so pleased with the service I was provided with however, every other trip after I had purchased my gown wasn't quite as pleasant. Several months later I went back to Gesinee's to look for gowns for my mother and grandmother. I was so surprised by the poor service we received...this time we were matched with a different consultant. I felt like she wasn't really wanting to help us and wasn't listening to what we were saying we were looking for. She kept pulling gowns way out of our price range and got upset when we asked her to clip the back of the gowns (her job). This was neccessary as all of the gowns were around a size 14 and my mom and gradmother are both very pettite women. My grandmother purchased a long evening gown at a very reasonable price, but my mom found her dress at David's Bridal in Pinnole.

The one thing that really upset me was when I went in to order a swatch of my bridal gown so that I could make sure my shoes were the right color. I went in and paid my $5.00 for the swatch. They let me know that it would take about 4-6 weeks, which was still plenty of time before the wedding. My credit card had been billed immediately, but after 8 weeks there was still not fabric. When I called the lady told me that I had already called about the swatch and that they would let me know when it came in. I told her I had never called about the swatch and she continued to tell me that I had. Very frustrated I hung up and waited for a call from them telling me when the swatch arrived. Three months after my wedding date, I decided I would call about the swatch that had still yet to show up! When I called the lady said, "Oh do you still want it?" I said yes, I did pay for it. She said she would call me back. When she called me back she told me they no longer made swatches out ofthat material. Needless to say she did credit my account the $5.00 I originally paid.

Overall Gesinee's is a great place if you get a good consultant! They provide brides with a huge selection of gowns within all budgets! Good luck!

My review is a bit late - I feel that several members of the staff here were amazing; however, the experience of visiting the shop to select my dress and again to select my veil were completely at odds with each other. The day I chose my dress, of course the ladies assisting were all much more polite and attentive; however, though a veil is much less expensive than an $1,100 dress, it is still a highly sentimental article of clothing, and I felt snubbed on this occasion, despite having called multiple times to see if it would be acceptable to come in to shop for veils ( I wasn't sure if they were all meant for display purposes, or if I'd need to make an appointment). I came out of town and each visit should have been an occasion...I would recommend this shop to a local, but would not make the trip to purchase here again for another event.

I had great experiences coming here while trying to find my wedding gown. They have a huge selection (old and new). I stuck with my sales girl, Joan, the whole time because of her excellence in service. She went above and beyond in suggesting styles, changing the lights for faux pictures, grabbing shoes, etc! Great prices for similar styles and they work with your budget.

After spending almost $20,000 I would have expected better customer service. When the MOB dress I had already paid for was unavailable I was offered the sample and told I would get a discount. Never saw the discount.

Gesinee's has a large selection of bridal and bridal party dresses. I purchased my dress and my bridal party purchased as well. If you purchase there, I recommend taking your dress elsewhere for alterations. I had to go in 5 times in order to get my dress right and 2 of my bridesmaids dresses still were not right after alterations there.

I have only given them 3 stars based on their service and prices for alterations. My dress was amazing and affordable, it was made by Casablanca and I am still in love with my dress, wish there was a reason to wear it again. But the alterations were almost as half the cost of my dress, this was quite shocking and disappointing. We of course still had it altered, but very pricey in my opinion.

Gesinee's has an incredible selection of dresses, and for that reason I would definitely recommend it to future brides. However, I would make sure to also tell brides to size down when buying dresses -- they ordered my dress WAY too big. I was swimming in it when we received it, and I hadn't lost any weight since the day I had ordered it. My seamstress (whom I found elsewhere, after reading negative things about Gesinee's alterations department) says she sees this all the time with dresses from here -- they tend to order large, so that you then have to pay even more to make it fit you. I ended up spending a good $300 just sizing the dress down to fit me, which was more than I would have liked.

The store was always packed, and I got seen by a different sales person for each of my 3 separate trips. I would have preferred to keep seeing the same one, so that I could have avoided explaining my preferences over and over, but I will say that Theresa (my first consultant) was amazing. I know it's a sales tactic to have the customer passed around to various sales people, and that's fine. I was also a little annoyed that I had to get charged an extra fee to have my dress made WITHOUT certain details -- as though it would cost more to put in less labor? Again, I get that there is a premium on all things wedding-related, but it was pretty absurd. I just wanted my dress so badly that I didn't put up a fight (and there's probably nothing I could have done, but having Gesinee's on my side for this would have been nice).

Defective Dress + "No Refund" at Gesinee's Bridal = Buyer Beware!

Went to pick up my 7-year-old daughter's new dress and matching veil on April 19th, only to find a visible 2-inch tear in the dress seam right at the counter. Instead of taking responsibility, Gesinee's staff immediately cited "all sales are final," insisted there was "no refund button," and pushed a repair or store credit, even rushing the torn dress off to a seamstress. They handed us clearly defective merchandise but acted like it was our problem to deal with via alterations or unwanted credit.
When I returned the same day asking for the refund legally required under California's consumer protection laws (which allow rejecting defective goods upon delivery), management flatly refused. They wouldn't provide their policy in writing, wouldn't allow recording, and just kept hiding behind "all sales final" – a policy that does not excuse selling damaged goods. They wouldn't even accept the return of the matching (but now useless) veil for a full refund on the set.

Bottom line: Gesinee's Bridal delivered a faulty product and then used their store policy improperly to deny our basic consumer rights. We're now forced to pursue a chargeback and likely Small Claims Court just to get our money back for an item that was damaged before it ever left their store. If you expect quality control and accountability, shop elsewhere and spare yourself the potential nightmare.

I don’t usually write reviews, so please excuse any awkwardness. The reviews I read while planning my wedding were essential to the decisions I made, so I want to start by imploring other brides not to go to Gesinee’s. If you want the full details, I have written them below, but the most important thing now is preventing future brides from having an experience like mine. I can never get my wedding day back, and you all deserve an amazing wedding day with no regrets. I will say that I had a good experience purchasing the dress. Everyone seems so nice and acted extremely knowledgeable. However, the dress I purchased caused me nothing but pain and embarrassment. To be honest, I know that I am a little top heavy. When I first walked in to Gesinee’s, my only stipulation was that I wanted sleeves. I was convinced that I should give sleeveless dresses a try, as many of them have corsets. I trusted their advice. Looking back, the saleswoman only brought me sleeveless dresses to try on. During my second appointment with them, I picked out a few with sleeves. As Sammy, the saleswoman, knew what she was doing, the dresses she chose looked significantly better on me. They felt supportive and she reiterated several times that I would be fine without sleeves. I believed her and I purchased a sleeveless dress. During the fitting process, there were other problems, but I’m going to focus on the boning they added and their persistent advice that I would be fine without sleeves. My mom and I both asked the seamstresses about sleeves and we were assured each time that I did not need them. The dress was not fine without sleeves. My dress did not even support me all the way through the ceremony. Through the night, the boning bent more and more and by the end of the night I was in a lot of pain and extremely embarrassed. Gesinee's offered to preserve and rebone the dress, but has been unwilling to offer any other solution. Please spare yourself regret and stay far away from Gesinee’s.

Poor service

UNPROFESSIONAL!
Wish there was a negative star! Went here for my daughters PROM dress (1st mistake). Had an appointment on 2/18, thinking that would be ample time for her PROM on 3/23. NOT! First of all showed up to our appointment on time to the address on Concord BLVD, only to be told that the dress shop for PROM dresses was at another location. Why I was not told this bit of information when I confirmed our appointment I don't know why??? Got to the other location just to be told that my daughter and I had to wait another 20-30 min to be seen, that was unprofessional because we could have done something else with our time. I really don't like the process of looking for the dresses on our own and use a hair band to select the dresses she wanted to try on. Once we picked our dresses and given a designated area to try the dresses on the consultant that was assigned to us was NOT GOOD AT ALL. She gave my daughter NO attention at all. She popped in and out to only say the same thing "that looks good on you." She was so busy walking around and helping other people that she did not zip my daughter into not 1 dress and she definitely didn't zip her out of any of the dresses either. I (her mother) did all the work. There was another rude ass consultant who came over and bullied our consultant to give her PROM girl a dress that we wanted to try on and she (our consultant) let her have the dress. Thought that was hella rude and disrespectful and apparently a different consultant notice this transaction happen and felt the need to come over and apologize on behalf of the consultant who bullied us out of the dress and the consultant that was assigned to us. She stated she notified management, but who knows if that happened because we never saw anyone from management. After deciding on a dress the alteration lady came over and both she and the consultant tried talking us into buying the floor sample dress and I said NO. We wanted a brand new dress. I guess that answer did not suffice because they continuously tried to talk us into buying the sample. WE DO NOT NOT WANT THE SAMPLE!!! It was a size 2 and my daughter is a size 8, but somehow they didn't want to hear that bit of information. Everyone knows that these dresses are stretched out after other size people have tried them on. Finally when the alteration lady measured my daughter her results came back as a size 8...DUH!!! I knew that already. So then that's when they stopped harassing us about buying the floor sample. Now that we have the size squared away and that we wanted a new dress, I sign the contract which stated that we would have the dress by 3/19...NOT!!! Once 3/19 came, I called them to find out that the dress would not be in til some time around the end of March. End of the month come to find out that the dress was "in production" and would not ship from the factory til 4/8. I was pissed because I was lied to about the company (Sherry Hill) only having 1 size 4 left, but the dress wasn't even made yet. Then I was given the excuse of the pandemic, but that was not an issue when I signed the contract and given a date when we were suppose to have the dress. They should factor that "pandemic" timing into when you will get your dress. This was the worst experience but my daughter fell in love with a dress for her first time PROM. Had to order another dress for back up because we didn't know if the dress would be here in time for her event. Come April 18, we finally went to get our dress. They give you a plastic bag (from the cleaners) for your dress, not a garment bag, HUH? You can buy a $20 men's suit and get a garment bag, Macy's give garment bags, Nordstrom give garment bags, NOT Gesinee, you spend over $500 just to be told that a garment bag is an extra $38 when you pick your dress up. WTF? That should be factored into the cost of the dress. Long story short, this was not even close to an experience that I wanted my daughter and I to have for her first PROM. Should have went to Macy's, Nordstrom, Windsor, etc. Hell at least Nordstrom has a return policy. I would never recommend this business to any one for anything.
In the picture is the consultant we had. Oh don't worry she was only showing us how the straps were removable from the dress. The only consultation she did do!
