    Masters of their craft

    I can not say enough about this team. The event they planned for me was above and beyond anything that I could have imagined. They exceeded my expectations by far. My vision came to life and everything turned out absolutely perfect. They were very professional and catered to my every need, whether it was big or small. They have definitely mastered their craft in the event of wedding/party planning. I can't thank you guys enough!!!

    Definitely worth it

    When my wife came to me and said she wanted to hire a Wedding Planner, I was not for it. I didn’t think it was going to be a good use of our limited budget but I was glad to be proven wrong. After our initial consultation with Victoria, I saw the need and felt confident in her ability to save us money and protect us from making uneducated decisions that could cost us in the long run. I would without a doubt put our confidence in Victoria again for any events we may have in the future.

    A Godsend!

    Victoria and her team at Genesis have been a Godsend! My sister and I came to her to help plan my parents surprise 50th anniversary party and we would not have made it without Victoria. We both work full time and had little free time to meet, let alone plan this whole event ourselves. She made sure she knew us and our parents well, ensuring she would help us make the best possible choices. She not only created a beautiful memory for my family, but saved us time, stress and money along the way. Thank you!

    Like family!

    I would not have it made it through this process without Victoria and her team! I hired Victoria 2 years ago and from day one she made me feel like family, not just a client. Her and her team were always available to help and offer advice when I needed it. I lost my dad 6 months into the planning and Victoria went above and beyond, being there for me. She helped me find unique ways to incorporate his memory into the wedding and was an ear when I needed to talk.

    From finding me amazing vendors to making sure my wedding day ran smoothly, Victoria was there every step of the way. I cannot recommend her enough. I wouldn’t have made it through all this without her!

    Lifesavers

    Victoria and Amelia are the BEST! I had so much fun with them planing my wedding. It seemed less like checking off a stressful list and more like catching up with friends whenever we had a meeting. They made us feel like we were family and what we felt really mattered to them. They were especially helpful in bringing our parents together and helping them understand our cultural differences and how we could blend them together to make a unique wedding, honoring both. I can't wait to plan our next milestone with the Genesis team!

    What can you say about a service that helps your planning from beginning until the very end? I have had the pleasure of experiencing 2 events in which Victoria, Kevin and the Genesis staff put together. They helped make each a huge and memorable success. From the decorations, DJ, lighting, food, ambiance and timing, everything was perfect. The clients are treated like family and the celebrations turn out better than you can imagine. Professionalism is an understatement, they go above and beyond. They have the experience and staff to make any celebration so much easier to plan.

    Victoria, Kevin and their team did an wonderful job more than I expected! They not only helped me to stay in the budget, but also they gave me discounts and many tips to save money. I had some issues with my family but Victoria helped me with dealing with it and everyone was happy in the end!! I say they do more than I paid for. It might have been a disaster if I have planned my own wedding. If you are interested in hiring them, try the free consultation first and see if you like their service!

    Victoria, Kevin, Molly, Crystal and the entire staff at Genesis Master of Events in Fresno, CA really exceeded all of our expectations when it comes to having a wedding planner! The entire experience with Victoria and her team was extremely professional and enjoyable. We were on a strict budget and Victoria made sure that our day was amazing- without breaking the bank. The staff at Genesis was also very accommodating to my husbands work schedule and my school/work schedule when it came to scheduling meetings. We also used Genesis for our flowers, photography, desserts and used her DJ recommendation. Molly did the flowers for our wedding- AMAZING! She used my pinterest and really captured the look we were going for. Kevin (Victorias husband and our photographer) was a delight to work with, he was quick, kind and managed to get my family to cooperate :) . Victoria and her team coordinated everything with our venue as well which was amazing. My groom and I were able to have the most amazing wedding day, relaxing without worrying about anything because we knew the Genesis team had everything under control. I had so many people comment the day of the wedding on how perfectly everything turned out! Overall, Victoria and Kevin are the perfect team (professionally and personally), and our wedding went off without any issues. They treat their staff and customers like family and it really made all of the difference in the world. I will definitely be coming back to Genesis for all of my future event planning needs.!

    As mother of the bride living in a different city than my daughter, Victoria took a lot of the stress off of the planning. She handled the interference with different vendors and even between me and the groom! The wedding was beautiful and everything my daughter wanted. And, I was a stress free mother!

    Victoria and Kevin were absolutely phenomenal in every aspect of planning our wedding. From grasping my style and understanding what was important to us (and what wasn't), to tactfully making suggestions to help things run more smoothly and look better, all the way to helping keep the peace during times of stress - which I might add there was very little of in the first place! I couldn't imagine my wedding without their help and I would definitely do it all over again!

    Victoria and Kevin were the VERY best to work with. They took our vision and made it a reality. If you are thinking about getting a planner, I would really recommend it. Victoria stayed within our budget and was very honest about what everything would cost. On the day of the wedding, I was able to relax and enjoy my time with my bridesmaids and my family because I knew everything was in good hands. If you are debating about the price it would cost to hire an event planner, just think about the money (and stress) it will save you in the long run. I have had so many compliments on my wedding and it was because Victoria did such an awesome job!!!!

    I admit I was nervous about hiring a wedding coordinator because of the cost, especially because I was a budget bride. However I can now say that hiring Genesis was THE BEST decision I made in the planning process. I still felt like I could put in my creative touches with all of the stressful parts taken out. I felt like I could relax during the reception and enjoy my guests and my day without the worries of setting up or taking down everything. Every time I needed to contact Genesis about even the smallest question they would get back to me almost instantly. It was so wonderful to have the guidance and assistance of these amazing people! Thank you Genesis!

    Genesis Master of Events made my wedding experience one to remember. I originally was not sure a Wedding Planner was something I could afford, however I quickly realized that hiring Genesis actually would save me money! Victoria worked with me to help me stay on budget and was able to get me much more than I could have imagined or been able to acquire on my own for the same price. Victoria has extensive contacts and knowledge of the industry and its vendors. The intense stress of planning the details was lifted and I was able to relax and enjoy my wedding day!

    Victoria & her staff are amazing! We would not have been able to pull off our wedding without them, not to mention the THOUSANDS of dollars they saved us. They MORE than paid for their services....

    My husband and I were both in our senior year of college, working full time, and had half our family on the east coast, and half our family an hour away. Needless to say, without Victoria & the rest of her team, I would have been a stress ball doing everything on my own. Our wedding was entirely perfect! I remember her saying that if anything even went wrong I would never know... and that statement stands true! (Other than the a/c going out. Kinda hard to keep that under-wraps when the whole room was feeling the heat.) But even with that, they took care of it quickly, so I wouldn't have to. In fact, that just made the night so much more fun! Our guests were having the time of their life. To this day they STILL rave about it being the best wedding they ever went to - from the ceremony & vows, to the decor, professionalism, DJ, entertainment, venue & food! Victoria & Genesis helped give us our dream wedding. We will be forever thankful. No matter how small your budget - DO NOT PLAN YOUR WEDDING WITHOUT GENESIS! (I gave you a fair warning :o) hehe )

    Genesis Master of Events were TRUE professionals. They made our wedding perfect. They understand the stress that a wedding can put on a couple both mentally and financially, and they will do anything possible to ease the burden of the stress.     Our wedding went so smoothly! It wouldn't have happened without Victoria & Kevin. From the proposal all the way through the honeymoon they were there every step to guide and help with everything. I didn't have to worry about any of the vendors, decor, flowers, timeline or anything the day of the wedding. They took care of everything! They even helped store our wedding day things while we were on our honeymoon. Great team, I recommend them to anyone who wants a stress free wedding day!

    oh my gosh...what a wonderful faith based service provided...we could not have asked for more...if we had, we would have received it!...everything was perfect...highly recommended...


    We began planning our wedding a year in advance. We started with attending a wedding expo in downtown Fresno. We reserved a Jaguar limousine, picked up some planning materials, and met a couple event planning companies; but thought we could do the planning ourselves without spending the extra money.
    We developed a theme of ‘peacocks and pearls in the 1940’s’, ordered a few items online, and soon realized this was the biggest party we had ever planned. We were starting to stress out and realized we wanted to be relaxed on the big day and not worrying about all the little details we were starting to recognize.
    Thinking back to the bridal expo, we remembered how energetic and enthusiastic the interns were from Genesis Master of Events. We did some investigating, made an appointment, and surprised ourselves by signing a contract right then and there. Victoria was so likable, genuine, and subtly confident. She started by interviewing us and coordinating what we had already accomplished into a master plan. We remained very active in the decision making process while she made wonderful recommendations for vendors. With her Christian based negotiation skills, she artfully assisted in booking vendors of high quality for very competitive prices; demonstrably less expensive than if we had booked them on our own. Victoria was always available and returned emails promptly.
    Victoria would give us a chronological research assignment, we would bring back ideas and she would tap into her repertoire of knowledge and brainstorm until we came to a consensus that worked both logistically and financially for our event.
    Genesis Master of Events not only assists with the event planning but they provide the décor and flowers. Our bridal bouquet was period accurate and gorgeous. Our décor was awesome in the true sense of the word. Every detail coordinated from the ceremony, to the signature cocktail drink, to the guest favors.
    The most important facet of the Genesis involvement was allowing us to relax and enjoy the entire wedding experience, a once in a lifetime event. The value of this cannot be overstated. With sincere honesty and integrity I can recommend Genesis Master of Events to plan any event with confidence as our wedding is a benchmark of their product.

    It was a pleasure to work with Victoria. She took my idea's and help me finish planning my day. I WOULDN'T have had the wedding I did with out her and her team. I thought I was just hiring a wedding planner but what I got also was two new friends.

    It was great having no stress the day of the wedding, the staff took care of all the setup and break down, everything looked wonderful. They took what I wanted and the finished product looked even better than I thought it could.

    All the staffs were very supportive and helpful.
    They helped us decrease unnecessary stress of the process of planning wedding and stress of the wedding day.

    Victoria at Genesis Master of Events was the best money spent on our wedding. She helped us find the right vendors that were reliable and met our needs. Our wedding was even more than we imagined because of her work on everything. She made she sure we spent our money on the things that mattered most and negotiated with our vendors to ensure we got the most value out of each dollar. Victoria does an amazing job in helping keep your stress level down when you don't know what to do or where to start. She really spends the time getting to know you and what your vision is so that she can make it happen. Both she and her staff are so professional, friendly, and dedicated to your big day. We have had so many compliments from family and friends on how this was the best wedding they had ever been to from decor to food to entertainment. Victoria made the wedding of my dreams come to life and provided us with wonderful memories of both the big day and the wedding planning itself.

    Genesis Master of Events really treated us like family. They are amazing people to work with, they always made me feel comfortable, and were super flexible with me considering that Im always always late!!!!
    The day of my wedding I felt completely relaxed everything was done ahead of time, it was done how i wanted and it just felt perfect. It was all due to victoria and her husband they really are amazing people with amazing talents. I highly recommend Genesis Master of Events to anyone planning a wedding or any other big event.

    My husband and I got engaged about a year and a half before the wedding. I was so excited to get started on the plans. I had a really really small budget, only $5000 to work with, so I was making a lot of stuff on my own. I went to my first bridal show thinking I was gonna scope my vendors and get a better feel of what I was looking for. When I got there however, all I felt was overwhelmed and stressed out! There was so much to do to organize a wedding then I had ever thought about! The only good thing that came from that event was being put in Victoria's drawing box. I won two free tickets to her seminar, 'Top 10 things to Avoid When Planning your Wedding.' At that seminar I was introduced to even more things I didn't know, but this time I was also presented with a solution! My mom and I decided to hire Genesis (VIP Designs at the time) that day. It was the best decision I could have made for my wedding and my sanity. Victoria helped me find vendors that would fit our personalities, and she gets discounts for her clients with a lot of amazing vendors, so I was able to stay in my budget! I was done with all my planning a month before the day. So I had all that extra time to just enjoy the anticipation of the big day! The day of the wedding she set everything up, made sure all my vendors were on time, and that everything ran smoothly. It was the best day of my life!!! My perfect dream wedding was turned into a reality thanks to Victoria and her team! I still keep in contact with Victoria! She is now a life long friend of our family, and will remain that forever if I'm lucky! I would recommend Genesis to every bride and groom!

    I went into planning with the idea I could do it myself and did not need a planner. I went to a local bridal show and met Victoria. From the beginning she did not sound like other wedding businesses. She was kind and did not try to sell me. She was calm and asked questions that really made me feel that she knew her stuff. She offered me a free consultation and I met with her the next week. I was still a little skeptical so I brought my fiancé with me. After she talked with us and asked what we wanted and what concerned us the most we both began to feel more relaxed. By the end of the meeting we wanted to hire her and we have never looked back.
    Victoria is the ultimate wedding planner. I have seen planners on tv but can truly say they do not compare to how well Victoria knows family, friends, other vendors, and couples. She has been the strength that I needed and the peace that my fiancé needed. Few individuals impact your life in such a positive way that she does. She is a planner, designer, counselor, and advocate in every meaning of the word. I could not recommend her enough and her team. Oh and I forgot she also can save you a ton of money and time!     Our wedding turned out beautiful! She made our lives so much easier through the whole process. Her and Kevin are just great and I would recommend a wedding planner to anyone because i did not stress out about one thing on the wedding day. Also my budget was $10,000 but I received about $20,000 in value. The only thing was her responsiveness, but she was going through a move while planning our wedding so it was hard for us to get into contact with her sometimes.

    I'm from Sacramento, but we wanted our wedding to be traditional in as many aspects as possible and that started with having it in my wife's hometown of Lemoore. We started planning on our own but weren't sure how we were going to keep up planning a wedding from out of town. We decided we should hire a local planner. I found Victoria and my wife found two other vendors to interview.

    After meeting Victoria, we knew she was our pick. She had years of experience and a gentle, happy, down-to-earth demeanor. She kept us on track with making decisions and recommended vendors to fit our style and budget. Particularly, she found us our venue, photographer, and cake maker and Genesis provided the flowers and decorating. We communicated mostly through email (our preference) and met in person at least once a month (we heard local couples meet much more often). We didn't meet most of the staff until our wedding day since we could only meet on weekends, but that didn't matter. Victoria had everything taken care of on the day of our wedding.

    Victoria and her staff set-up the reception the night before. My wife didn't get to see it until we made our first entrance into the reception. The flowers and decorations were more than we expected. The arrangement of the hall worked nicely so we could see everyone from our table. The food and desserts looked and tasted amazing, absolutely the best! We ran into a few snags here and there, but Victoria and her staff took care of them. My wife and I didn't have to worry about what was happening. We enjoyed each other, our guests, and the rest of the day.

    I would highly recommend Victoria and the Genesis Master of Events staff and interns to help you plan any event.

    Victoria was amazing! She made everything look beautiful and definitely knows how to do her job. Her staff was great as well. There was some problems with the catering company and Victoria took care of it with ease. She stayed calm and made the night go very smooth. So glad that we went with her.

    My wife and I heard about Genesis from meeting Crystal at David's Bridal, who mentioned she works as a wedding planner that does weddings on a budget, and since we were new to Fresno and were definitely on a budget, we decided to check it out.

    The whole process was based completely around the look and feel we wanted for our wedding. After determining what we wanted, they took care of finding vendors and venues that fit that. They were so on top of things that a couple weeks before the wedding when we decided we wanted to change the design for the cake, Victoria simply said "Let me take care of it" - and it was done!

    As for price, well, they do charge a fee for their services. But I can tell you that they paid for themselves in spades. By working with vendors they know and trust, they were able to get us much better services and packages for a lower price than even the basic package offered by those same vendors. This meant that we were able to have professional vendors for every part of our wedding, when we were worried about affording it before. They take care of budgeting, letting you know where you can cut corners to afford the things that matter.

    And of course, the day of is when they really shine. They took care of scheduling when things would occur and working it out with vendors. I didn't have to do anything. I didn't have to worry for even a second that anything was going wrong. They just wanted us to enjoy our day.

    In the end, it's hard to know what to look for in a wedding planner for your first marriage. So, I didn't really know the questions to ask going in, and had to base it around wanting to stick to a budget. Not only did they do that, but I learned some very important things that are must-haves in a wedding planner, because Victoria and Crystal did all of them. Paying for Genesis is some of the best money I've ever spent in my life. I'd recommend anyone that wants a stress-free wedding day do the same.

    Friendly service...made us feel like family. Beautiful decorations. Helped us with some issues with the venue and a few disagreements with the in-laws. Helped us stay within our budget, in fact I think we were under budget! I only wanted to hire a day of coordinator, but am VERY happy to have had Victoria and Kevin with us through the entire planning process!

    Victoria delivered a beautiful wedding reception to us. She and her staff set up a beautiful tablescape that we and our guests fully enjoyed. Her recommendations for vendors also turned out nicely.

    We planned our wedding from out of town so Victoria met with us on Saturday mornings, almost the only time we could come. She kept her schedule flexible for us since we had so few meetings. We kept in touch most by email, but I think it's best to meet with her in person.

    One draw back, we spent well over what we intended. Victoria tried to keep us realistic and in budget, but as the wedding day approached, we ended up making some pricey last minute decisions and buys.

    Victoria, her husband, and her staff are genuinely friendly happy people. We totally felt like family. Some advice? Listen to Victoria and make decisions on time. Trust her. She knows what she's doing and what she's talking about. Also, know what you want so she can give it to you. Biggest thing, schedule lots of meetings with her in advance so she can devote her attention to you and discuss all the details you ever wanted and forgot to think of.

    I can't even begin to describe how absolutely thankful I was for Genesis' services in helping me to plan and execute every detail of my wedding. I didn't realize just how amazingly helpful they were until the day of when I hadn't a worry in the world. They took care of everything and I was able to truly enjoy my day and not stress about the details. When I didn't know exactly what I wanted, it seemed as if they were able to read my mind and give me exactly what I couldn't express. Everything was absolutely beautiful. They helped me have a bit of a DIY wedding with a little help. I would DEFINITELY recommend their services to anyone. THANK YOU to my team, I love you all!

    100% honest review

    In the beginning we had a great partnership and my wife and I were ecstatic to work with Victoria genesis master of events. She was the Knots top wedding coordinator for the past few years so we couldn’t wait. We hired her very early on in the process one year and a half to be exact because we wanted to be stress free and we wanted things to be taken care of which she seemed like she would do that for us. However during that year and a half little did we know that nothing would really be getting taken care of . In our meetings with her she would constantly assure us that things were fine however we saw no real result of things being “taken care of” no venues were booked there was no money being put down to any vendor . My wife and I were the ones who were making the phone calls to ask for prices , setting up meetings with vendors we wanted and so much more we were doing . This was the reason we hired a wedding coordinator was to handle these things for us . The meetings after a while seemed to be pointless . We found out no information about our wedding from the meetings we would have with her . She was Also never able to give us an exact quote or even an estimate of how much our decor would be which she was also in charge of. It was extremely hard to get ahold of her . She would take days to respond to texts, phone calls , and emails. Finally when we did get a price from her for her decor ONLY she quoted us $22,000. Which we at the time did not know any better and did not know that her decor prices were extremely over priced . The decor we had picked out was decent it was not top of the line it did not look like it was 22,000 worth . We had to take many many things out of our wedding that we had originally dreamed of having and it was beginning to not feel like the wedding we wanted . We began to question what she had exactly done for us this past year and a half as far as “planning “ and taking care of things for us. Our wedding is only 5 months away and she has only made two deposits with the money we had been giving her . We had been giving Victoria thousands to hold for us and distribute our money to the proper vendors and only a few hundred had been distributed . Mind you we are 5 months away from our wedding . As we began to get suspicious of her pricing and intentions for our wedding we decided to look around and get other decor pricing . We found an amazing lady in Sanger Ca who would give us everything we wanted for about $14,000 LESS. How is that possible that she was going to charge us $22,000 for decor not including food, not including her planning services , etc. just $22,000 for decor . Yet we looked around and added everything we originally wanted and dreamed of and found it all for $8,000? It seemed to us that we were buying her decor for her and not renting it . I had also made it crystal clear in the beginning that I did not want a church wedding . And come to find out later that Victoria put a $500 deposit of our money down for a church for our wedding .... I was mind blown. No one ever told her to do that we did NOT GIVE HER PERMISSION TO PUT A deposit down with our money for a church . she clearly was not listening to our needs and wants and doing what she felt was best for us . We did in the end up parting ways with her and got all of the money back we had been giving to her besides the $3500 we owed her she kept that which we also felt was wrong considering she did not do one bit of the planning . We are now 5 months away from our wedding and are now scrambling to do all of the things victoria said she would “take care” of . She really tried to take advantage of us by charging us $14,00 more than what she should have. She is unreliable and unprofessional . She did things with our money we DID NOT approve of . I would recommend you run as far away as possible from her and her company if you want your wedding to be a success . Do not let her fool you . I’m not Writing to bash her but to speak the truth. And to the people with good experiences I’m happy and glad you never went through this. I also emailed and texted Victoria twice in the end of all to let her know we no longer will be going with her which I got a text days later that she needed time to gather her “feelings” I really wish I never have met Victoria all this has caused me so much stress. If you want to risk it and go with her then be my guest but as someone who lost out on $3,500 for absolutely nothing. DONT DO IT. I will not read the reply back from Victoria IF she ever does because I don’t care to hear what she has to say. I know the truth I know what happened and nothing she says can justify what she did. I have texted AND emailed Victoria 3 different times dating 11/6/19, 11/13/19 and 11/20/19 to let her know that we no longer will be going with her and requesting even a partial of our money back because we believe WE did all the planning all the vendors we contacted all the meetings we set up. Victoria booked one wrong church we never agreed too and set up meetings that were pointless. I have screenshots of texts with no replies. Don’t be fooled by this company. Stay far away!

    I don't like to relive the details of my wedding. I don’t have good memories and is why it has taken me a year to write a review.There were a small amount of reviews for GMofE when I hired them in May'11 for my wedding in November.Victoria declined my request to be able to speak with her past brides.Red flag, I should have walked away.I would not recommend hiring GMofE unless you are prepared to deal with the consequences.Many details discussed at our meetings either didn't happen or were wrong.Day of wedding Victoria pulled mom aside to say there was no cake,vendor had no record of my order,she was calling wrong vendor.We were abandoned @ church, no Victoria @ reception.MIA for several hours.Said she couldn't find my cake knife,had to buy one at Walmart.(Discussed prior to wedding that hotel should have cake knife)DJ she provided could have been replaced by iPOD.Had to ask DJ for father/daughter and mother/son dances,DJ said they weren't on his agenda.Timeline of events did not include photographer being present for father/daughter and mother/son dance,cake cutting, garter/bouquet toss.OH WAIT,THERE WAS NO GARTER OR BOUQUET TOSS!No photographer present=no photos!Decor flowers used were told to Victoria as being least liked.Victoria said I told her they were my favorite.No intern photographers as promised.No midnight snack per contract. Hiring GMofE caused more stress.I definitely was not a 'Stress Free Bride to Be", per their motto.I watched it all unfold including my mom's meltdown. Apparently all the mistakes that didn't happen at all the other 5 star weddings were saved up for one day-mine.Noticed the # of reviews increased when GMofE hosted a contest where prizes would be awarded for "Best of" categories.A criteria for entering contest is to write a review of their services.Not saying all positive reviews for GMofE aren't true, just presenting the possibility of GMofE passively ensuring positive overall scoring for their services.

    We were very disappointed with our service. We were not provided many of the services we thought we would be. Planner did not know the right amount the DJ charged and told us there were two set up fees, one for the ceremony and one for the reception so we hired violinists for the ceremony. The DJ said that they never charge for two set ups at our venue and that they have a discounted rate for our venue...none of which our planner knew. On the actual day I had to call her to see if she was even at the wedding. She did not provide a timeline to my wedding party as dictated in the services provided. She did not provide midnight snack pack and allowed the wedding planner of the venue to do all of the work. We were not followed to pictures and were not given "5 minute" warnings from our planner. Instead, the planner at Wolf Lakes had to find us to head to the reception. I would like go save future brides a lot of stress and money, please steer clear of Genesis Master of Events. I feel cheated out of money and that having a wedding planner created more stress. With that being said, Wolf Lakes was fantastic!!!
