  Gathering Light Photography was a true gem! I was actually looking for a photographer in the Big Sky, MT area & had ran across Gathering Light in an older bridal guide and had contacted Meghan not knowing they had moved to Colorado! But Meghan was still willing to travel to Montana & I am so thankful she did! Her style is one of a kind and her pictures are stunning! We weren't confined to a specific amount of hours and had unlimited time to cover everything! She even met me first in Bozeman for my hair/make up & then traveled to Big Sky for the ceremony & reception. She was super friendly and also brought a 2nd photographer with her and didn't even stop taking pictures when it started to hail! Don't know what we would have done without her!

  I have been absolutely thrilled with the photography services we have received from Gathering Light Photography. Meghan was phenomenal from the start, and she produces beautiful photos at a value. Meghan was always very quick with her responses to my questions. The photos she and her assistant took are beautiful, and very representative of our day. Meghan has more of a photo-journalistic style, but also effortlessly weaves in posed photos of the wedding party and large family groups. She is very talented at capturing moments of the day, like one of my new sister-in-law wiping away a tear during the ceremony. At the reception, Meghan and her assistant took some time during dinner and created a slideshow of some of the ceremony and cocktail hour shots they had taken, and set up a laptop for guests to view the slideshow. We were all very pleased with the preview photos we saw. Meghan and her assistant were very professional, and deftly handled large, small, and couple photo shoots. They maintained a pleasant demeanor and gave helpful directions for all family members and friends in photos. I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures!

  I feel like I got a great deal on this great photographer! Due to her being new to Colorado, Meghan was offering 50% off her regular pricing and I took advantage. Prior to the event, Meghan was extremely easy to work with and got back to me quickly whenever I emailed her. The day of, she was a joy to be around and was extremely patient even with the 11 children we had as part of the wedding! The sneak peek of photos that she sent (within 5 days of the wedding) are so beautiful that I can't wait to see the rest of them. One of the best parts is that we got 2 photographers for the entire day with no limited timeline that we had to stick to. I can't recommend Gathering Light Photography enough!

  Meghan has been amazing to work with! I am so happy that we were able to find her. I highly suggest doing an engagement shoot, we were originally not going to do this because we thought we would never be able to afford it, but her pricing packages made it possible. During the engagement session, it only took a few minutes for us to feel comfortable with her which made things go much smoother for the wedding day (because that day is hectic enough, there is no time for camera nerves!). My family was really late showing up to the venue on time for pictures before the wedding, so we didn't get to do the family pics as planned before the ceremony, just the wedding party. But Meghan was persistent during cocktail hour to get them out of the way as soon as possible so we could enjoy the rest of the evening. I am so glad she was able to get us all together and photographed swiftly. Only a true professional could handle that type of chaos! Her artistic style is exactly what we were looking for in a photographer (as artists ourselves, we have high expectations for photography), we were so blown away by the albums we received we had to order another one! I cannot say enough good things about Meghan and Gathering Light Photography, you will just have to find out for yourself!

  Gina (Meghan's assistant) was an absolutely incredible photographer. She was on time, professional, and very creative. She is also one of the nicest people I have met! She did a great job, and Gathering Light was quite fast (about a week and a half) getting our photos on the website for us to look at them. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience!

  Such a wonderful and easy photographer to work with! We booked Meghan for both our engagement session and our wedding photography, and we couldn't be more pleased! For the beautiful work she provides - I feel like we should have paid her more, and I would hardly ever say that about a wedding vendor! :) She was so flexible with what we wanted and liked, and was just an all-around enjoyable person to be around. She is a member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (which is a pretty prestigious honor), and her work definitely reflects that. She captured the spirit and feeling of our entire wedding and it was such a joy to have her and her husband there! She is one of the very few photographers I know of that had her wedding package priced by the "event" so to speak, and not by the hour. She and her husband arrived about 2pm (our wedding started at 4pm and we did all of our group pictures after the wedding), and they stayed until 10:30pm and the reception ended at 11pm. She did not charge us for travel even though our event was in Big Sky and they are based out of Bozeman. I would recommend this photographer to ANYONE!! She also provides you with a DVD of all the images taken 6 months after the wedding. During that 6 month time frame the pictures are hosted on a professional photography site where you can purchase prints from there - at pretty reasonable prices! I loved Meghan's flexibility and enjoyed our fantastic pictures!!!

  Beautiful Photos!

  We booked Meghan last summer to shoot our wedding this September. She did our engagement photos last October and we were so happy with how they turned out! She was flexible with our desire to shoot in multiple locations, change outfits, and get some shots of us with our cat in our home. Meghan and her assistant, Justin, did an amazing job with our wedding photography too! She was okay with travelling a few minutes from the venue to a spot at the Stevenson waterfront and took some of the most beautiful first look photos I have ever seen. She collaborated with us prior to our wedding and did a thorough job of getting the shots on my desired shots list. At both the engagement session and wedding, she spotted some cool backgrounds (a building, a tree) that my husband and I didn’t even notice, but turned out amazing in the photos. We had an outdoor ceremony and the weather was wildly inconsistent. Meghan was able to roll with the punches, adapting to various kinds of light, precipitation, wind, and locations. Also demonstrated the ability to delicately wrangle our families and friends for group shots. She was also very prompt at getting the photos processed and sent back to us. We highly recommend Meghan for your wedding photography!
