We toured close to 10 wedding venues in Milwaukee during our planning process, and none of them came close to showcasing Milwaukee as much as Gather did. The space is stunning, and the staff (Mikayla and Mali) were incredibly easy to work with. We probably visited the venue three or four times from when we booked the space, and they were always incredibly accommodating and eager to help. Guests raved about the glass windows and outdoor patio, and we were able to make the space our own through flowers, lights, and rentals. We’re so glad we picked Gather for our wedding venue!GATHER at Deer District's reply:

As an event stylist and owner of Events by Erica, I have the privilege of transforming venues into spaces that bring my clients’ visions to life. From ceremonies and receptions to statement focal points, floral installations, centerpieces, guest tables, and photo moments, the venue itself plays such an important role in the overall experience—and Gather at Deer District is truly a beautiful canvas to work with.
The tall glass windows, high ceilings, beautiful natural light, and open-concept layout make the space incredibly versatile. It transitions beautifully from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception, all while being located right in the heart of downtown Milwaukee.
But what truly stands out to me about Gather is the team.
In the event industry, flexibility and collaboration are incredibly important, and their staff has consistently been wonderful to work with. When their schedule has allowed, they have worked with me on setting up the evening before and picking up the following day, giving us the time we need to properly execute our client’s vision without making the process feel rushed or complicated.
On event days, their team is professional, responsive, hands-on, and genuinely willing to collaborate with the other vendors. It never feels like everyone is working separately—it feels like one team with the same goal: creating a seamless and beautiful experience for the client.
There have even been occasions when I returned for pickup and their team had already helped gather and organize some of my items. That was absolutely not something they were required to do, but those small gestures say so much about the kind of team they are.
After working with Gather on several events, my experience has consistently been smooth, professional, and enjoyable—from communication leading up to the event, to setup, execution, and breakdown.
A beautiful venue is important, but having a great team behind it makes all the difference. Gather offers both. I look forward to creating many more beautiful celebrations in this space!

You Won’t Regret
My wife and I couldn’t speak more highly of Gather at the Deer District for a dream wedding. The views are second to none in the heart of the Deer District with great views of Brewer’s Hill neighborhood supplying a fantastic backdrop to our ceremony and Fiserv Forum and the rest of the Deer District providing excitement and stunning backdrops for photos all night long. The location is great too for out of town guests to find and hotel options throughout downtown (we opted for The Trade and would highly recommend for the convenience and high quality).
The staff were fantastic and attentive to all the small details allowing our big day to go off without any worries. The venue ensured the whole evening flowed beautifully from our ceremony, to cocktail hour next door at the Mecca, followed by dinner and a large dance floor to accommodate all our guests. A truly special place in my heart that I know you won’t regret when you choose to have your wedding here! -

Sound By Design (and me personally) have had the pleasure of working at The Gather for years, and it's always one of our favorite venues to return to. The space is beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and provides an incredible atmosphere for weddings and events. From a vendor perspective, the team is always welcoming, organized, and easy to work with, which makes a huge difference on event days. They care about creating an amazing experience for both their couples and the vendors they partner with. As DJs, we appreciate how well the space accommodates entertainment and keeps the energy flowing throughout the night. Having coordinated a handful of weddings here now, I can confidently say they are one of the most seamless, professional, and genuinely kind teams in the industry.
Beyond how incredible the team is, the space itself is a designer's playground. The massive windows flood the venue with the most gorgeous natural light, and the overall layout is incredibly versatile. Whether a couple wants a vibrant, colorful design or something moody and minimalist, the space adapts beautifully and makes every color palette pop.
To top it all off, their in-house catering is next-level (and served so quickly!), and the venue staff is phenomenal. They are always super on top of things and incredibly sweet whenever we need to make quick adjustments for our couples. It truly feels like a partnership every time! -

Our journey began with Mikayla, who is an absolute master of logistics and understanding client needs. She was a true partner in the process of securing the space, patiently walking us through every option, making sure the venue configuration perfectly matched our guest count and aesthetic goals. Mikayla’s clarity and professional demeanor gave us immense confidence from day one that we had found the perfect canvas for our celebration.
As the wedding approached, Mali stepped in and became our day-of execution wizard. Her talent for planning and organization is unparalleled. Mali ensured that every detail, from vendor load-in schedules to the final timeline for the ceremony and reception, was flawlessly managed. On the wedding day, she was the calm, competent force behind the scenes, allowing us to relax completely and simply enjoy every moment. GATHER was the very first venue we toured + right away we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding reception! From start to finish, the entire experience was incredible.
We primarily worked with Parker, who went above + beyond for us every step of the way. Not only is the space itself beautiful + modern, but the location truly can't be beat with multiple hotels less than a 5-minute walk away, Fiserv Forum right next door + countless restaurants nearby. With so many of our guests traveling from out of town, GATHER gave them the perfect opportunity to experience Milwaukee, the city we love so much!
From the initial tour all the way through our reception day, Parker + Mali were amazing to work with. Mali was especially helpful in brainstorming ways to make our menu unique, which our guests absolutely loved. On the day of our wedding, the staff went above + beyond by answering questions, making sure everything ran smoothly + taking great care of our guests.
We could not have asked for a better venue or team. We'd recommend GATHER a thousand times over! -

We couldn’t have been happier with our wedding venue! From start to finish, everything was absolutely amazing. All of our guests raved about the event, many commenting that it felt far more luxurious than what we actually paid.
The staff went above and beyond to make our day special, especially Mali, who was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and patient with all my questions (and there were a lot!). Thanks to their organization and attention to detail, everything ran smoothly, leaving us to simply enjoy the day.
One of the most thoughtful touches was when they made sure my husband and I got to try all the appetizers and desserts by preparing special plates for us and placing them at our seats—something we’ll always remember.
The venue itself is stunning, with breathtaking views of Milwaukee and the Deer District through its expansive windows. It provided the perfect backdrop for such an important day, and it’s something our guests are still talking about.
If you’re looking for a beautiful venue with top-notch service, this is it. Highly recommend! -

As a wedding planner I am pretty particular about vendors in general, but my husband and I knew GATHER was our fit for a variety of reasons. Between the city views, Deer District Location, and "blank canvas" it provides we were able to celebrate our wedding in our style. The Bucks and Levy staff were always friendly, responsive, and helpful! They were also flexible in offering solutions for my various crazy ideas. My team (who did day of coordination) said everything ran super smoothly behind the scenes and it was of course fabulous for our guests as well! We were one of the first couples to have a reception at Gather at the Deer District right after it became Gather. They were incredibly knowledgable and organized, making the transition from the previous ownership smooth. In fact, Sarah had more experience organizing large-scale events and made everything comfortable. The night of, our families and guests were incredibly pleased with how friendly and professional the staff was. The day-of coordinator even helped me when a speech went on for much too long and I asked for help :). The staff also boxed up our centerpieces at the end of the evening, which was not expected and a huge help. When talking to guests later on, they said it was some of the best wedding food they'd had (short ribs and chicken). We were incredibly satisfied and highly recommend Gather. The Deer District makes it even more awesome. -

Our wedding at GATHER was fantastic! The venue had a unique and modern feel that our guests loved. The best part was that the garage doors to the deck were open all night, so guests that weren't dancing were able to stand at cocktail tables and mingle. -
