Gary Coelho Photo and the One Story Weddings team covered our wedding in June 2025, and my husband and I can't recommend them highly enough!! We're thrilled with our footage, and our entire experience working with them was seamless. Our photos and videos are beautiful mementos that we’ll treasure forever. The best gift is that the footage genuinely feels like “us” at our very best.
There was no challenge too big and no detail too small for this team. They captured both our South Indian and Western events with exceptional care, enthusiasm, and artistry. Their excitement in the moment was contagious; they made us feel confident and genuine despite our initial worries about posing feeling forced. They somehow did all of this without interfering in how special moments unfolded; their ability to be present yet unobtrusive was truly remarkable.
Gary and One Story Weddings are unmatched in so many ways:
– Attentive from start to finish: Gary was responsive, thoughtful, and thorough throughout 12+ months of planning. He somehow made us feel like his only clients!
– Flawless execution and teamwork: Gary and Jake were perfectly prepared, fully aligned with our planners, and kept everything running smoothly as events unfolded.
– Creative, focused, and efficient: They maximized every minute, handled large family groups with ease, and even pulled off stunning spontaneous couples’ shots in blue light when we wanted to sneak away from the dance floor.
I really cannot say enough great things about this team and wish we could do it all over again! Gary Coelho Photo and One Story Weddings are truly masters of their crafts, thank you SO MUCH for everything! -

Gary's Mixed Indian Wedding Photography is THE BEST
We truly couldn't have picked a better photographer to capture our entire wedding week. Our time with Gary began with our engagement shoot in Laguna Beach in which Gary took all of our style/location preferences to heart. He went out of his way to find unique locations and backdrops for us to take our photos at and even helped us loosen up a bit with some pre-shoot libations! Gary's experience with Indian weddings was also extremely valuable for our mixed Indian-Western wedding. He was able to explain many circumstances that we could expect to help us plan accordingly.
Some of the most memorable (yet critical) moments we had with Gary were outlining our minute-by-minute timeline - which he did so meticulously alongside our wedding planner. We also can't thank him enough for problem-solving when we needed it (i.e. if we forgot certain elements that needed to be in the photos/part of the look, he was on top of it directing helpers to do XYZ).
We also noticed how by the actual wedding day, many of our guests knew Gary by name and were singing praises of the way he could keep order and help us very efficiently take so many photos. It can be tough with a 250 guest count AND a large Indian family :)
To us, Gary felt like a friend. He knew when we were pushing our breaking point and needed a break, he knew how to make poses fun/relatable, and he sent us the sweetest letter once our photos were ready.
And the photos turned out INCREDIBLE. So many beautiful moments captured that had us tearing up and such a wonderful photography style. Gary knows exactly how to capture the perfect shots of your big day, and especially work with lighting.
Highly, highly recommend him for your big wedding!! -

Gary Coelho is an incredible professional photographer and made my wedding day incredible. We loved Gary's passion from the moment we first met him- he made us feel like we were more than just another couple client. He takes pride in all of his work- every single wedding album is an opportunity to make something amazing and unique. Our photos are amazing and we could not ask for more. Above all, the experience of working with him- he is funny, fun, and really nice, was lovely. He's a great guy and will take your wedding to the next level. -

My husband and I have nothing but amazing things to say about Gary. Hiring him was the best decisions we made for our entire wedding. Hiring a photographer was a daunting task, but we were sold during our first conversation with him. He made us feel so comfortable and it felt like he really wanted to get to know us. During the first call, he walked us through the entire timeline of our wedding day. There was not a detail he missed. Our engagement shoot was amazing! He figured out the style we were going for and made it happen. He also made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera too. The wedding day was an absolute dream! Him and his team made the day so perfect, and shot everything we asked for. We cannot thank him and his team enough! -

Gary is truly an artist in every sense. He truly knows how to make you feel comfortable, laugh on command, and articulate the best version of yourself for your big day!
He took extra careful notes for details I wanted him to focus on without hesitation. He went above and beyond to keep our timeline coordinated. He definitely is the best (vendor) companion for your big day and puts your needs above it all to make you feel special.
The quality of pictures and the artistic results were beautiful for both our engagement shoot and our wedding festivities We are so happy we went with the recommendation to have him as our photographer! -

Everything we could have wanted and MORE!
Gary and his team were phenomenal to work with and our pictures were PERFECT! From the first initial planning meeting Gary really spent the time to get to know me and my husband, what we were looking for in our photographs and our personality together. We did our engagement shoot first and Gary made sure to include a variety of styles so we really had more photos than we could have imagined. He made us feel so comfortable during our shoots, making us laugh the whole time and even showed us some poses when we had no idea what we were doing. He took amazing candids and posed shots which was exactly what we wanted. During our wedding he surpassed our expectations! He knew our venue so well and some really cool spots to take photos at we weren't even aware of. He literally carried me up a hill to get the perfect sunset shots! He was such a positive and funny photographer and I would definitely use him and his team again! -

“Wow!” that is pretty much the meat and potatoes version of this review. My wife and I could not be any happier with the product and customer service
This review was very hard for my Wife and I because we wanted to be honest and critical in our review, but everything we have to say sounds very cliche and overwhelmingly positive. So to save the time of anyone who wants just “the meat and potatoes” of our review on our experience with One Story Weddings, My Wife and I were completely blown away by the amazing products they delivered (wedding video and photography as well as engagement photo session) and HIGHLY recommend this amazing company to anyone who is considering using them for their special event. Let’s be honest here, their work is amazing and speaks for itself.
Now, I must preface the rest of this review by explaining that when I first started researching a wedding videographer, we already placed a non-refundable $500 deposit on a different photographer. My wife and I had originally were on the fence about getting a videographer because our budget for a 250+ person wedding was already maxing out. I used to shoot and edit wedding videos on the side after college and found that I was unrealistically picky on the quality and expectations I had for my wedding video for a budget friendly company. I watched a lot of wedding videos on the internet and came across a few videos by One Story Weddings. I was very impressed with the cinematic quality and story telling ability in the videos I watched.
My wife and I met with One Story Weddings and had an immediate connection with Gary. Gary took the time to get to know us and learn our story before talking business. He then showed us examples of the videos his company offered and explained all the details of each package. After sitting through the Gary’s presentation for a wedding video (which was unexpectedly good and pleasant), our conversation shifted to photography. I explained to Gary how hard it was to find a photographer because I was so critical of photos due to my hobby in photography and taking 3 years of photography classes in high school. I searched a lot of wedding photographers and found that most of the photographers had expensive equipment but lacked basic essential composition in their photos. Gary assured me that the photographer we had chosen was very skillful and would work seamlessly with one story weddings.
Long story short, I requested to see some of Gary’s photography. My wife and I were blown away and audibly stated, “Wow” on many of his photographs. I immediately felt sick to my stomach. I tried to make things better for myself by asking how much he charged expecting his quality of work to be way our of my price range. -

Simply Amazing
My wife and I would like to thank Gary and his whole team for their wonderful work. Our married friends always told us how important photos were, how they’re so valuable to them years later. The trust we put in Gary and his team paid off completely and we have some of the most amazing photos we have ever seen of a wedding. Our guests, who we shared the photos with can’t stop talking about how beautiful everything turned out. Gary was a great help from start to finish, he provided us a one on one meeting to find out exactly what we were looking for. The day of the wedding was crazy but his team worked extremely hard to get everything we asked for.
You guys were amazing!!! Thank you!!!
