The Best Popcorn and Customer Service!
Garrett Popcorn Mix is our go to so we decided to give our guests, especially our travelling European guests, an experience from Chicago, the city where we got engaged. We ordered their wedding favor package which includes elegant white-silver wedding bags which we filled with the mix they made fresh just before shipping to us. There were trouble on the way due to carrier mistake and as soon as we learned that, Garrett Popcorn Shops associate was quick to resolve the problem and we received everything in time before the wedding. Our guests loved it, so did we as always, but their customer service is a memory which truly stood out this time.Garrett Popcorn Mix is our go to so we decided to give our guests, especially our travelling European guests, an experience from Chicago, the city where we got engaged. popcorn always pleases
I think having Garretts as a wedding favor was the first decision we made when we started planning. If you live locally you can pick up the platinum striped bags already filled from their offsite kitchen. Everyone liked that we had popcorn as a favor, it's a crowd pleaser. You can get tins and bags for people to fill their own with whatever flavor they like, but we went the simple route and just had refilled bags of caramel and Chicago mix.I think having Garretts as a wedding favor was the first decision we made when we started planning. I gave Garrett's as my favor and everybody was ecstatic! All the out of town guests had heard of Garrett's and I was so happy I could provide them with this tasty treat! The only problem is that the popcorn needs to be stored in a cool, dry place or the caramel starts to melt a bit and get sticky. Needless to say, the popcorn was a hit and one of the guests actually stole my 2-gallon popcorn tin because he couldn't get enough of the Chicago Mix! Loved our favors! Garrett's is known for their delicious Chicago mix popcorn and since my husband and I live in Chicago we chose favors from our favorite popcorn place. We ordered individual bags of Garrett's famous Chicago Mix (caramel and cheese) popcorn as favors for our guests and they were a huge hit! Guests ate the popcorn throughout the night when they were hungry or brought it back to the hotel for a late night snack. The popcorn was very fresh and was ready for pick up when promised. We love Garrett's popcorn and so did our guests. It's a favorite spot in Chicago so we thought it would be nice especially for people traveling in from out of town. Anyone who's had Garrett's knows how delicious it is! We filled chinese food boxes with Garrett's cheese popcorn for our favors. My mom preordered about 8 jumbo bags of popcorn from the Ogilvie train station location. Allow yourself enough time to get the product sent to you. They use UPS which doesn't deliver on weekends. I paid a small fortune for two day air of two huge 6.5 gallon tins of popcorn.
That being said, the popcorn as part of our sweets table was a huge hit. We got married in California but live in Chicago. Everyone enjoyed the Garrett's mix which is a combination of their cheese and caramel popcorn. We went with the favor pack which included a white plastic scoop and 50 favor bags. I live in Chicago but was getting married in my husband's hometown of Scottsdale, AZ. In order to bring a little Chicago flair to our wedding, I thought it would be a great idea to have Garrett Popcorn!! My representative was very responsive via email/phone and even mailed out sample bags (empty bags!) so that I knew exactly what I would be getting. My only complaint is that it was quite pricey!! However, the rep told me to register on their site which would guarantee me discounted shipping (from $19.99 to $4.99 per tin).
