Wedding DJ review

Grant was great beginning with the planning process and ending with a fun night for everyone. He helped keep everyone dancing all night long. Highly recommend.

Must-Hire Wedding MC and DJ!

We hired Grant to do our wedding and he was great to work with! He made sure to include every little request I made and paid a lot of attention to detail. I had many different specifics, playlists, even some songs that needed to be cut in certain places, etc and he handled all of it perfectly! Before the wedding, he also emailed me a template so we could have the whole day/night planned out exactly right. This helped a lot and helped me see some things I wasn’t thinking with! A large number of our wedding guests said how great the DJ was and how much fun they had because of his work. All together, it was a great experience working with Grant. Definitely recommend!

Wedding Review

Grant was an amazing Dj and was extremely attentive to what we needed for our wedding. His curation of our music choices and working on the fly at the event was great. He was extremely respectful to our schedule and space. He created an amazing vibe that couldn't be beat. We loved the napkin cheer especially and definitely recommend it for any wedding Grant plays at. Overall, we were extremely pleased with Grant and would recommend him to anyone holding events in the Chicago area.

The perfect DJ for our wedding

Grant was excellent every step of the way in making sure our wedding's audio needs were perfectly executed. He was easy to work with when we had a couple planning hiccups (first postponement and then some weather-related adjustments the day of). He smoothly integrated the songs we requested during each stage of our wedding with his own judgement to fill the gaps. We felt like the audio experience for the music, speeches, and ceremony could not have gone better. Highly recommend.

Made my Son's First Birthday Amazing

Gannon Events helped make my son's first birthday party a hit! Their team reached out 2 weeks before the event to make sure they had all my requested music and the party's itnierary. Their DJ arrived over an hour early to make sure the music was playing as guests were walking in. The DJ played everything from the top hits for the parents to Disney classics for the kids. Everyone was happy! Thank you to Gannon Events!

Perfect!!!

I had the pleasure to have Grant as the DJ on my wedding. Everything was perfect. During the planning/preparation phase, he was always flexible and receptive to all our suggestions and requirements. He was on top of every single detail. The day of the wedding his whole team arrived on time. Perfect lighting, environment, hora loca show and amazing music selection/mix. The quality of the sound/audio is sooooo good!!!! Grant followed our timelines perfectly. We had so much fun. I definitely recommend him and his team.

Amazing experience

Grant was amazing! I’m so happy we chose him as our DJ for our wedding. He was so organized with a timeline for every part of the wedding and helped us with choosing the perfect songs. He is also very entertaining and made sure to keep us dancing all night. I will definitely use him again for future events and would highly recommend Grant to anyone!

Best DJ ever!

Grant Gannon was amazing! Our wedding was so much fun and the guests are still talking about how amazing the music and entertainment was! We hired our DJ for the whole event, a cello player for our ceremony, a violinist for cocktail hour, and two LED Robots for hora loca . Everything came out amazing and on point! You will not regret hiring Grant Gannon!

When you want an awesome evening everyone will be talking about!

Home Financing Center's Annual Holiday party was a hit - in large part due to the fantastic entertainers - the saxophone player, the drummer, the piano player - the lighting - the DJ - they had the party hopping all night with their interactive music - all at this beautiful setting with the Biltmore Hotel in the background. Grant coordinated all and it was seamless - thank you Grant - you MADE THE EVENING!

Best DJ I’ve ever heard!

Grant is so great to work with! I love that he works with you to provide the atmosphere you desire for your event! I had several long conversations with him discussing the music I wanted at my wedding. You can even make playlists on Spotify for cocktail hour or dinner and he will use them. Our dance party had every single song we wanted to party to and more! He was also careful not to play music we didn’t want to hear. We loved everything about him.

So happy we picked Grant

If you are wondering whether you should book Grant for your event, you are wasting time! Grant made my wedding unforgettable. I was surprised at how much fun our family was having. The moment the party started until the very last minute when staff was taking linen off tables, my family was dancing. Grant also provides bistro lights, dance floor, and photo booth. I never had to stress about any of the other vendors he managed, he just got it done. He was always clear about pricing with no surprises. Talking to him on the phone was always easy when I had a hundred questions, compared to other DJ’s that sounded rushed. We are so happy with Grant!

Best in the business.

My wife and I were super excited that we were able to book our wedding with Gannon Events. From the moment we first spoke, Grant was super helpful and supportive of the whole process. He had workable and easy music selection notes, and fully customizable templates to make sure we had a great time. Grant knew exactly what we wanted and supported his word when the wedding day arrived. On the day I saw Grant with a huge smile and he made himself at home. He was secure of his equipment and made sure safety was a priority.

The audience loved it, we had so many people come up to my wife and I saying how great the party was. The mood and vibe that Grant set and work ethic were astonishing. Definitely recommend anyone to work with him.

Pleasure to work with!

I have used Grant from Gannon Events for multiple beach parties and he really knows how to bring an event to life!

His positive attitude & current music always brings people out on the dance floor. He even DJs through multiple weather conditions (what a trooper)!

When I book a DJ, I want to know that I can trust them to keep the energy up the entire event. His mood lighting helps enhance the event space and brings excitement to each guest.

Professional and h

DJ Gannon was amazingly accommodating! We were panicking about a week before our wedding, because our DJ was unresponsive and he immediately took us in and worked with us perfectly. His skills were amazing and he was able to mix all our songs perfectly and kept the crowd entertained and on the dance floor the whole night.

Excellent Experience

Working with Grant as the DJ for our wedding was wonderful. We were planning a destination wedding, so I was a little nervous about how to find and hire a DJ without meeting them in person first, but these concerns were eased upon the first phone call I had with Grant. He placed a very high priority on getting to have an in depth conversation over the phone about my (now!) husband and I and the type of couple we were and the type of event we were looking for when it came to our wedding. We talked for almost an hour about this before we even got into packages and pricing, etc. Since it's so typical to do all of this via email now, it was refreshing to be signing on to work with someone who valued that in-person connection. He even drove down to meet us when we flew to FL a few months before our wedding to do some other planning obligations.

As for the wedding itself, we couldn't have been happier. It's obvious that Grant is comfortable as an MC, and that he has fun with his work which really sets the tone for how a night will go. We were a smaller group (about 50, including a handful of little kids) and he did a great job of managing the flow of the night and keeping people dancing all night long. He took our suggestions (I'll admit, we didn't have a ton of them), the guests requests, and then kept on playing songs that people were having fun with, which is everything I could ask for. I would definitely recommend him to someone looking for a fun, personable professional for an event. Thanks again Grant!

Grant Gannon was the highlight of our wedding reception!! His gift for music and as an entertaining host kept everyone excited and engaged. We had such a fun time!!
He played piano for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and then made the quick switch to becoming our DJ for our reception. Grant is friendly, communicative, organized, and is willing to go above and beyond to make the event fun and unique. He is so easy to work with, and really cares about his clients’ vision.

We were so relieved to have found Grant. Not only he was very accomodating to the limitations of the venue and made everything work wonderfully, he was also very perceptive of song suggestions and tailored the music choice to our likings. Our guests were out on the dance floor the whole time and everybody had a great time. Also, he can make annoucements in both english and spanish, which was important to us. Thank you for being so awesome, Grant.

Grant did an awesome job at my wedding. He is very professional, from the beginning he took the time to personally meet, he answered every text and email on a very timely manner. I was a bit skeptical because my wedding was a joining of two cultures: Latin and Indian(Caribbean Islander) he was was to incorporate the different genres of music smoothly, everyone commented about how great the music was. He is highly recommended.

Grant was the DJ at our wedding and we were blown away by his professionalism and his choice of music! We gave him a few songs that we liked and thought captured the "genre" of each section of our wedding (cocktail hour, dinner, reception, crazy hour, etc) and he did the rest! We had multiple people come up to us throughout the night and tell us how great the music was! He was fantastic at getting people on the dance floor and playing the right songs at the right time. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a great DJ, I highly Recommend Gannon Events. He was recently the DJ for our reunion and he kept the crowd engaged the entire night. I asked him to play a certain genre and he used his expertise to pick the perfect songs to keep everyone dancing. He was extremely professional and we loved his set up! My wife and I recently hired Grant to DJ our wedding, and he did an exceptional job! Everything went FLAWLESSLY from start to finish. If you're looking for someone who DJ's weddings FOR A LIVING (not just a hobbiest) who knows what they are doing, don't look any further! 10/10!

Grant is a total professional but also is down to earth and a very nice guy. He is someone you can work with for any event and made our wedding the perfect event. He communicates very easily and helped us find just the right music for every moment of our wedding. I highly recommend him for any event I can think of.

I am an Event Planner and would recommend Grant Gannon to any of my clients. Grant DJ’d at my client’s recent wedding, and was not only a pleasure to work with, he stayed connected with us throughout the planning process and always delivered on his promises. He played great music, but most importantly, he really listened to - and was respectful of - the bride and groom’s wishes/music choices and gave them exactly what they wanted.

THE BEST DJ EVER!!!! My husband and I are so thankful to have met Grant and to have had him as our DJ for the most important day of our lives!! We wanted a DJ that would make our wedding day and reception celebration a day to never forget and Grant exceeded our expectations and had everyone on the dance floor celebrating with us and having such an amazing time. Grants professionalism is at a total different level and we were blown away by how serious he took his position as the DJ for our event. We never worried about a single detail because he would always follow up and make sure we were informed and aware of all the music and specific instructions for that day. Grants communication was so awesome!!! He made us feel so comfortable and confident in his work and we let him know exactly the kind of music we wanted and didn’t want and he kept such a great diversity in the music selection for all our family and friends and it was just amazing!!! Until this day our friends and family talk about how great the DJ was and how the reception and flow of the ceremony went!!! Grants price for everything he did was soooo affordable and we were blown away by how he went above and beyond for what we were charged!!!! We had so many last minute changes with our wedding due to rain and setting up at another location within the venue and Grant immediately adjusted to the changes and made all the music flow like if nothing had happened. We had live music, singers, and even more changes and everything came out perfect!!! We are so happy to have been able to trust Grant with our big day and absolutely recommend him!!!!! I wasn't expecting it to be so hard to find a DJ for my wife's and I wedding. My wife and I wanted things to be as close to perfect on our wedding the same as anyone wants on this special day. Needless to say about a month before we still didn't have a DJ. I came across Gannon Music as a referral from our photographer. Grant was very professional through the entire process and played exactly what we wanted. My wife requested a couple genres of music that I thought no DJ could pull off and it was shocking to me at how well everything was put together. I would highly recommend Gannon Music if you want the best experience possible! Thank you so much, Grant, for helping make our wedding such a blast for all of our wedding guests and more memorable than we could have ever imagined!

Grant was beyond amazing for our wedding event. He went above and beyond to make our day extra special. We live in Colorado and Grant was in contact with me several months prior to the wedding. He had questions and recommendations I hadn't even thought of which was wonderful. He asked questions about my guests to ensure he accommodated their needs as well. Our wedding quickly approached and again Grant was in communication days before the big day to re-assure me everything was on schedule and ready to go. He even sent me a sample of the grand opening and our song selections for our "special dance". Day of the event Grant showed up hours prior to set up and to get familiarized with the venue. He started the ceremony with his talented piano playing which transitioned into cocktail and dinner hour (so amazing). It didn’t stop there. He is beyond talented. We then went into our reception with our grand opening dance and from there Grant kept my entire wedding party dancing and laughing from the time it started until the night ended (we wish it didn’t end). If we had it our way, we would have had Grant there hours longer (time cut off at the venue). Yes, as you can read I would highly recommend Grant and when it our 20 yr. anniversary approaches we will make arrangements to have Grant there! To this day I still have people comment on what a wonderful job he did!

Grant was the DJ to a baby shower (at the shower he played live music) and my 5th daughter's birthday party. He played whatever the kids asked for at the party. He did a great job on both. I was super happy!

Grant for the win!

Now that the wedding mayhem has calmed I want to properly thank you for all of your time and effort put into planning Alex and my perfect wedding! You were patient with our asks, organized in our timeline, and we are so grateful to you in playing a part during our unforgettable day! The hours you took to help prepare with us is truly a testament to your dedication and we are very thankful. You were the first vendor we hired and we knew you'd come through as our DJ to make the night spectacular and spectacular it was!

Since we were waiting on the boardwalk I even got to hear all of the pre-ceremony songs :) The robots were a huge hit, they puzzled many and excited even more...people for a moment thought it was Alex and I were in there!

Grant is a fantastic DJ and a wonderful guy. He was diligent before our event to ensure we had the music we wanted and was so much fun for the whole evening. Highly recommended for any event. We will book him again for sure.

Grant from Gannon Studios was delightful to work with from the first phone interview, through the wedding, reception, and with his detailed communication and follow up following the event.
My husband and I waited until the weekend prior to decide that we might want to hire a DJ. We had created a playlist and planned to have a friend start and stop the music for us, but it was getting too complicated. We reached out to our event space coordinator who recommended a couple of DJ’s of which Grant was one.
We interviewed three DJ’s and upon our first phone call with Grant knew he was the right DJ for our wedding. He was friendly, made good suggestions about things we didn’t even think of for the reception, and asked questions to help us develop the perfect playlist. Grant supplied the lighting as well. He even worked with us on his fee due to the last-minute scheduling and knowing that we were in a bind.
Throughout the week leading up to the wedding, Grant communicated with us several times to make sure all the start and stop times were identified. He also helped us select the perfect songs for the first dance, the mothers dance, and the ambient dinner music. Grant was fantastic and was able to get even the non-dancers on the floor with everyone dancing by the last dance.
I would highly recommend Grant for your events and we will hire him again for our next party.
