Highly recommend using Gambles Bakery for any event. Excellent cake and for a great price! They are easy to work with and very helpful in helping us decide what to do for our big day! I will definitely use them again for any upcoming events.

Our wedding cake came out EXACTLY as I pictured it! From the simple design to the emerald green ribbons, it was absolutely perfect. It tasted so great, we received a lot of compliments on the cake! They were so easy to work with and very kind. Thanks again Gambles!

Thank you so much! Working with Jeremy and Katie was a pleasure. Our cupcakes and wedding cake were a huge hit- everyone wanted to know where we got such yummy treats! I'm just sad that I didn't get to enjoy more of the cupcakes (things were so crazy during the reception...) My husband and I are heading back to get more cake soon! The value was amazing too- I can't say enough great things about Gambles. :D

Most recently, we had our wedding and grooms cake done at Gambles. Katie made calla lilies for the wedding cake and they were beautiful. Every picture I've ever brought in, from a frog baby shower cake to a John Deere birthday cake, they take the idea, make it their own and turn each cake into a masterpiece. Perfect every time!
Our wedding and grooms cake for 60 people was about $300. A baby shower cake for 80 people, very detailed, was $180. John Deere birthday cake for 50 was $120. Just a few examples.

Our family has enjoyed Gambles Bakery for 30+plus years
We have enjoyed birthday,anniversary & graduation cakes over the years along with many more delights that are tasty great!
Due to the longevity we have experienced with this fabulous bakery - it was clear that Gambles would be asked to create a masterful Wedding Cake for all to remember for our daughters special day.
Indeed that was accomplished beyond our expectations. Our daughters wedding cake delivered to the Inn at Erlowest on October 15, 2016 was absolutely beautiful
and tasted magnificent!!!

I wish I could put a picture up of my cake because it was AMAZING! It was delicious and beautiful. They even made a special oreo cupcake for my husband since he doesn't like cake! My bottom tier was all individual petals that Katie made by hand. When everyone saw our cake they thought it was fake! It was the best cake I have ever seen and tasted. You can't go wrong when picking Gambles!

Jeremy and Katie are amazing to work with - they're friendly, responsive and so generous! Our wedding cake was delicious, beautiful and everyone raved about it! Furthermore, Katie coordinated with our florist to decorate the cake and provided delivery. We were so lucky to find them for our wedding cake! Thank you, Jeremy and Katie!

Our cake was delicious and absolutely beautiful. I had a snowflake/winter theme, we had a personalized meeting with Jeff and he was very creative with his ideas. Gambles made our cake with snowflakes and shimmery white fondant, it was gorgeous. I was so excited to see it. The cake itself tasted amazing. It was delivered on time and without any issues. We have our topper for next year and we cant wait to try it again.

This cake was beyond anything I ever expected. Jeremy and his wife were incredible. I was planning this wedding from out of town and they made the process easy. They were a breath of fresh air -- it was clear that they were in this business because they truly love it and the money isn't their main concern. I was told by Jeremy to pay him after the wedding only if I like the cake. I thought I heard him wrong. I was a little nervous about not having a contract but confirmed with them a few weeks in advance and all was set. They worked with my florist, delivered on time, and even loaned me an amazing cake stand. Choosing Gambles was one of the best wedding decisions I made!

Best cake ever!!! Gambles certainly knows how to bake! Jeremy is such a great guy to work with. We just loved his enthusiasm! His wife Katie is really nice too! Our wedding cake was a special order of chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse and fondant frosting! It was beautiful! We asked for a special decoration of fleur-de-lys & Jeremy & Katie went out of their way to find the roll to make it. We met with them a year before the wedding day & he still remembered exactly what we had in mind & it was exactly how we pictured! They even made us a mini cake to sample. We wanted more! The chocolate cake was very moist & ooh so peanut buttery! delicious! Highly recommend! Thank you Katie & Jeremy!

I was in a bit of a panic when the person who was going to do my wedding cake cancelled at the last minute. Fortunately for me I called Jeremy, who unlike me, was very calm and collected. He reassured me that he would have a wonderful cake for my wedding. We met to go over the details, but when I saw the cake, it far exceeded my expectations! The decorating was absolutely beautiful down to every detail, the arrangement of flowers was elegant and precise, and it tasted as good as it looked! My guests raved about it! Everyone at Gambles was an absolute pleasure to work with!

Our family has been ordering the birthday cakes from Gambles for the last 8 years and couldn't ask for a better Bakery! Everytime I call, they always are ready with a smile to take our order. When it came time to order my Wedding Cake, I couldn't be more excited!! There was not a piece leftover after we had the cutting of the cake & the cake was just beautiful & delish beyond words! We live in Danbury, CT & always plan our trips around our Birthdays & Anniversaries so we can stop at Gambles & pick up our cakes!

Jeremy and Katie are the very best. They prepared some baked favors for my wife's birthday celebration that were AMAZING. They tasted and looked outstanding. All of her guests enjoyed them and complimented on how great they were. Gambles is the best bakery in the area and I will never go anywhere else.

I'll be honest - I was personally more excited about choosing the wedding cake design than picking my wedding dress. I can't stress enough that this part was really important to me.

Jeremy was not only easy to work with, but a talented artist. He made everything SO effortless and the finished product was everything we'd wanted & more.

The hardest part was *choosing* from so many beautiful designs - and then above & beyond his books - he was flexible enough to tell me that he could recreate anything I'd found in pictures online / in magazines. So many choices, what's a girl to do? It was the best problem to have EVER.

We knew that the cake would not only look amazing, but taste great too. Cake sampling at Gambles was FUN and every flavor we'd tasted was delicious! (I definitely couldn't say that for all of the other bakeries we'd visited during vendor selection, though.)

Setup on the wedding day just HAPPENED, without us checking in once.
We'd finally decided on chocolate cake with raspberry filling and it was DELICIOUS. (Multiple guests even asked to take home leftovers!)

What else can I say? I have a new favorite bakery when I head home to NY, and my (lucky!) family back east will have the BEST cakes for special events from now on!

The cake was amazing!! Definately go with the almond cake with red raspberry filling. We also ordered cookies for reception which were very tasty. Baker volunteered to make fondent butterflies to put on top of our rehearsal dinner cupcakes at no additional cost. They were adorable!

Jeremy was amazing! I walked in one day and luckily he was free to talk and show me the book of cakes :) He was so easy to talk to and ver accomodating, as I wanted a chocolate cake with peanut butter filling! He said 'You got it!'. Within 24 hours I was walking out of the bakery with a cute & good sized sample of the 3 layers of cake I wanted. Choc & Peanut Butter, Marble cake with choc filling and Silver pound cake w/ Strawberry filling! It was delicious. I sent his wife, Kate, a page of a magazine with the pic of how I wanted the wedding cake to look. To my amazement - when I saw the cake at our wedding it was EXACTLY like the pic I sent her. Everyone at the bakery so kind and very helpful. I would always receive an answer or a call back within minutes or hours! Thank you Gambles!

Jeremy was the best. I brought a picture of a cake from a magazine and told him that was exactly what I wanted my cake to look like. He was so great about letting us taste different cakes and even had them ready for us to bring home to try. He was very easy to talk to and fun to work with. I absolutely loved the finished product, it was beautiful and looked just like the picture and it tasted great. I plan on going to him for any speacial occasion where we need baked goods. I would recommend Gambles to anyone looking for a great cake!

Jeremy is great to work with. I have a peanut allergy and while it was difficult for me to find any other cake vendor willing to guarantee my cake would not be contaminated, Jeremy did not have a problem doing so.

After our first meeting I knew I wanted to book him to make our wedding cake. He was highly professionaly and easy to work with. We discussed cake options and he drew me out a draft of my dream cake.

On the wedding day, not only was his work beautiful, but it tasted FANTASTIC. Best wedding cake, ever.

The cake was deliscious and I had guests telling me so all night. Jeremy baked an ample amount so that there was plenty of cake (and then some) for our guests. I highly recomend Jeremy and Gambles bakery for your wedding cake needs. I would give 10 stars if I could.

jeremy did a great job, Every detail was given tons of time. The cake tasted as good as it looked. When I brought the top in, Jeremy suggested a different style of cake to better match the top--it looked fantastic.

Excellent, excellent, excellent. Jeremy helped us with our ideas and created exactly what we wanted. It looked beautiful and tasted great. The guests practically knocked the waitresses over to get some cake and most took some home. It was a steal too. He gave us more than enough cake...and the baker is so confident with his product that he guarantees satisfaction or we don't pay. Not many vendors will do that. Highly recommend this fella!

Jeremy was a big help to us in creating our cake.He is very passionate and creative when it comes to working with people.The cake tasting was a great opportunity to see his amazing work.We felt as if he really understood the type of cake we wanted and he also brought his unique ideas to the table.Our cakes was marvelous every detail was perfect and he got the decorations just right.We all loved the cake and are planning on working with him again.Thanks Jeremy!

Jeremy at Gambles was the best part of my wedding. Literally, I sketched out the wedding cake I wanted on a piece of paper -- a four tier cake with pedestals -- and Jeremy made it happen. The cake included regular icing, fondant, a multitude of strawberries and five foam cakes, because we didnt have enough guests to eat the whole cake! He made us six sample cakes to try and choose a flavor we like the most. We couldnt decide on just one flavor, so he ended up making three different flavors.

Very responsive, top quality, better than any other vendors in upstate NY!

Finding a cake location in Lake George was very difficult. Gambles was two of five locations that called us back. My husband was very excited about getting a luggage cake made for our travel theme wedding. Gambles is one of the only bakerys in Lake George that does specialty cakes. We provided them with several pictures, and they knew immediately what we wanted.

Gambles is a very laid back Bakery. You have to trust them in getting the job done. They wrote up what we wanted, but we never signed a contract. One month from the wedding, we called them and they said everything was all set.

So we called them two weeks before the wedding and they said call us next week to confirm everything. We were very nervous to have to confirm our cake a week before hand, but we just went with it. We ended up meeting with them 5 days before the wedding.

They had already started making the luggage pieces. They confirmed the cake drop off location, time, and topper. We still did not sign a contract. They informed us that they wouldl bill us for the end product after the wedding.

The day of the wedding, it was wonderful. As my husband and I arrived to the Boathouse, everyone was like"your cake is awesome". We were so excited. The cake looked AMAZING. I couldn't believe how great it turned out. The cake tasted fantastic. We got rum cake with vanilla, and vanilla with strawberry filling. The vanilla and strawberry filling was all gone before I got a chance to have a bite.

A month later, I still get calls about how good the cake was. Everyone wanted to know how we found such an awesome bakery. We got back from our honeymoon, and three days later we rec'd the bill.

We were very pleased with them overall. Towards the end we got a little nervous that we weren't going to have a cake, but Gambles pulled through. When they have everything noted and give you your confirmation, then it's a done deal. They are not a traditional vendor with continuous phone calls, contracts, etc. In the end it worked out wonderfully.

Talked with Jeremy on the phone a number of times, he was very easy to deal with and made our cake just as we asked. I mean he did a fantastic job of creating a very nice cake that tasted great as well. It was the right size for our party of 84. He delivered and set it up on the table right on time. Very professional.
