Delicious!
Gabriel's cakes are the absolute best! We had such a great tasting and worked with them to pick our cakes and desserts and they made it so easy. They really listened to what we wanted and executed perfectly. The quality of these cakes and desserts is just so good! -

Great experience!
Barbara was so great, fitting me in for a tasting after having a last minute cancellation. We loved their specialty cakes and couldn’t decide, so we picked 2 flavors and alternated the layers for our 4 tier cake. Multiple people at the reception told us this was “the best cake they had ever had!” Couldn’t have been happier with Gabriel’s! 💕 -

We had a really great experience working with the team at Gabriel's and the cake was phenomenal. We pitched a concept for a novelty-style wedding cake that's an homage to our hometown, and they made it a delicious reality! Many compliments Katharina and Barbara for this awesome showstopper - our friends and family said it was the coolest wedding cake ever, and it was definitely a highlight! -

We were absolutely blown away by our experience with Gabriel's for our wedding cake! First and foremost- the cake was incredibly delicious and our guests have not stopped raving about it and asking for the bakery information! Barbara was so lovely to work with and the process could not have been simpler. It is also a great value and less expensive than many other bakeries we considered. Really- look no further for the best wedding cake ever!

Amazing wedding cake. The 3 different layers were yummy and so tasty. We had a hard time trying to make our selection since all the options were so good. We did settle on the Oreo chocolate and then the strawberry vanilla cream cheese and it did not disappoint. Cake arrive and looked so good on our dessert table! 5 Star for sure on service and taste. -

Our guests couldn't stop talking about it!
We found Gabriel's based on a recommendation from our wedding planner and were further sold when I received glowing reviews from my friends. "They are known for their fresh strawberry cake! You must try it!" Barbara was so nice to work with and we ended up with a 4 tier fresh strawberry cake. I highly recommend trying any of their signature cakes from their tasting menu. After my fiance and I had our tasting/consultation, I took my brother to Gabriel's for lunch at a later date and we shared a slice of the fresh strawberry cake. I then bought another slice to-go so I could bring it home for my dad to try. I had friends tell me they had multiple slices at our wedding because it was beyond good! My husband and I were sent home with a huge slice on our wedding night, but other than that we had no leftovers - which is what you want! For an extra $10, Gabriel's gave us 40 to-go containers when they delivered the cake in case guests wanted to take their slice home. One of my favorite vendors to work with for sure. I highly recommend trusting Gabriel's with creating the perfect, tastiest wedding cake for you and your spouse-to-be. -

Working with Gabriel's was a dream. We changed what we wanted multiple times and Barbara took care of it all and made everything perfect! Their strawberry cake is SO, so, so good. Would highly recommend them if you are in need of a wedding cake! -

I cannot stop gushing about how PERFECT my cake was. They were the only baker we visited who came up with a cake that captured our personalities. People could not stop raving about how amazing our cake looked. It tasted delicious, it looked incredible, and was honestly one of my favorite parts of the wedding. I cannot recommend them highly enough. -

M Sent on 06/07/2013My cake came out exactly like I dreamed it would. Johnnie and Pam were great. My cake was delicious. Tiers of strawberry and lemon, was the best thing I ever tasted. Seriously, whenever I have an occasion to celebrate, or I just want some cake, I'm going there.
Also, they give you three small 7in cakes for your tasting. You can take them home and share with family and friends, or hoard for yourself. But honestly, all of their cakes are great. You can't go wrong here. -

Cheri Sent on 07/15/2012Gabriel's designed a wonderful dessert station for us in lieu of a wedding cake. The desserts wow'd our guest and coordinated beautifully with the decor. Our wedding decor was an elegant navy, red and beige since we married on 7/7 to coordinate with Independence day colors. Gabriel's designed mini red velvet trifles with cream cheese filling, blueberries and raspberries between layers. They also prepared mini apple pies and cherry pies with raffia ribbon and mini spoons attached. We also served mini carrot cupcakes and vanilla cupcakes with fudge frosting. We offered "to-go boxes" that allowed guests to choose to eat the dessert at the wedding or take one home. -

Kristel Sent on 08/24/2011Our Cake was amazing. We couldn't afford custom gum paste flowers, but she worked with my idea and found other flowers that would look pretty similar to the white orchid look we were going for.
My only comment was that perhaps the cake was just a tad too sweet for us. We were trying to see if it was possible to lessen the sugar by just a bit, and I feel like they reacted a bit offended. Told us they would never do that kind of thing because the recipe's were set in stone. My husband is a tad hypoglycemic so he couldn't eat much.
After all that's said and done though, we'd definitely go back. The cake tasted great and it looked absolutely lovely during our reception.
p.s. Make sure to drop by their store and have a sandwich.. they're all really tasty! -

If you don’t know, now you know! Gabriel’s cakes are amazing! They have such delicious flavors and we got to try several! We didn’t think we could originally afford a cake from here but it was super important to us that our cake was delicious so we decided to go with several small cakes and we are so glad we did! There was only a small amount left. We just loved having several flavors because they’re all so yummy! We had the chocolate marble, strawberry (their most popular), hummingbird, and a raspberry lemon. There was not much left but luckily they said we can go back on our first anniversary and ge a fresh one free! This was a huge highlight of our wedding! -

Heather Sent on 10/23/2013I was not impressed with the cakes at the tasting my venue had, but that's the cake they use and not everything do I have to be over the moon about. I was shocked that they gave us three large rounds for our personal tasting, it was too much cake. Too much to carry, and too much for people trying to lose weight for a wedding, but some people might like that. Our cake was very small due to the size of our wedding. It needed to be put on a stand or it just looked sad. I think $35 for a banged up, tarnished stand is a bit much, but the venue had no other advice. We had to bring the stand back as well. The decor on the cake was lovely, we picked it out of a previous photo and they recreated exactly. The colors went well with our theme. We paid an extra $10 for two ribbons (really the fondant beneath the ribbon). Everything tasted like buttercream to us. That's all we took away from the flavor, buttercream buttercream buttercream. It was good buttercream though, but, a little cake flavor would be nice. I have the entire cakes to bring to the office after the tasting, and my coworkers devoured them, but had lack luster reviews. I think it's typical wedding cake so I still say go for it. I was disappointed with the confusion over my order when i called 20 minutes after my invoice was emailed to me to pay. The caterers had already left for the day, and the young man had no idea about my cake. he listed off 20 names of cakes for that Friday, which of course will make a bride panic. I insisted the cake would be under no other name. No seriously kid, no one else is involved in planning this wedding. No, it's not under my mom's name, she lives in another state. We came here, we ordered it, we are paying for it, stop reading random names off to see if i recognize one. He charged me anyway based on what i said the invoice said (an extra fee for the stand and ribbon) but I still received a call the day of my wedding to pay for my cake, which no bride wants. -

Michelle Sent on 07/30/2009I loved working with Johnnie, but I sometimes felt the others in the shop were not always on the same page. The cake was delicious, but the presentation was poor. I had a simple 4 tiered cake, with ribbons on each tier with swiss dots. The ribbons were completed in fondant and were not straight and did not connect.
The groom's cake was also done by Gabriel's. It was a cupcake tower and I asked that the cupcakes be swirled and I even provided a picture, this was not done. By no means did this ruin my wedding day, but it really frustrated me that I paid over $800 and what I requested was not done.

I ordered my wedding cake from Gabriel’s and was excited to do so. We came for a cake tasting and the cake was amazing! My wedding was scheduled for May of this year but of course due to COVID-19 restrictions I had to postpone my wedding twice! During the initial chaos is March when everything began to shutdown Barbara from Gabriel’s called me to inquire if my wedding was still taking place. I informed her that we were thinking of postponing the wedding to May 22nd and that was about it. Within a week we postponed the to August. Fast forward to May 20th, I received a call from my wedding planner, informing me that my cake was ready to be delivered. I was in complete shock! To make a complicated story short, Gabriel’s had not attempted to contact me or my wedding planner to confirm the date change of May 22nd. My wedding planner was partly at fault because she had not included Gabriel’s email into the email sent out to the vendors of the date changes. Regardless I found it hard to believe that no one would call to confirm the need for the cake a week beforehand given all of the changes going on with COVID. I feel a though it was completely unethical to prepare this cake for 150 guests, which at that time was not possible at almost EVERY wedding venue. I felt completely taken advantage of due to the fact that I paid my wedding cake off 1 year in advance!! Barbara only offered for us to pick up the cake and freeze it or let them slice the cake to sell in their restaurant for a partial refund. She informed us that they only receive a 10% profit from wedding cake which is outright impossible! My fiancé even offered to contractually agree to purchase several cakes from them over the next year for bridal shower, birthdays, anniversary, etc. but they denied that offer. I am disappointed because Gabriel’s has a great product but their customer service is lacking especially during this time. I have had to alter so many things for my wedding and I refuse to purchase a second wedding cake from Gabriel’s. In understand that business are suffering during this time as well but they should be ashamed for taking advantage of someone. They have no moral compass and have lost a customer for life.
