We hired Chelsea and her team for my October wedding. I had 11 people in my wedding party and they made sure we were ready in time. The room I rented was strict on our time in there and Chelsea made sure everything kept flowing. We had a gothic flare and her team didn't disappoint. Everyone looked absolutely beautiful! She also did my hair and make up for my engagement photos and they came out so good! -

Chelsea was so amazing! I had gone to one other vendor before her and was super disappointed with the quality. When I saw the finished product at my trial with Chelsea, I was blown away! She truly knows what she is doing and I felt the way I had always imagined I would on my wedding day. She and her girls were prompt and prepared on the day of the wedding. Even in the odd space we were in and the odd outlet issues, they knew what to do and got right to it. I had 7 bridesmaids, my 2 nieces, and 2 moms getting hair and makeup done and they handled it like champs! They were so fun and made getting ready an awesome, stress-free experience! I even had a last-minute change on what I wanted to do with my hair and Chelsea made it happen-and it was beautiful! Everyone looked beautiful and felt great thanks to the Fuse team! I would 100% recommend them to anyone considering them for their wedding! -

Lauren Sent on 06/20/2014I was referred to FUSE hair & makeup by my coordinator. I did a lot of research on Makeup artists/Hairstylists before actually going with FUSE hair. I was specifically looking for someone who did onsite services, airbrush makeup and who was competitively priced. Chelsea provided just that!
Before the wedding, she creates a timeline for everyone receiving services which was REALLY nice cuz everyone was on the same page. On the day of my wedding, she arrived on time and finished on time! My bridesmaids, my mom and I all LOVED our looks!
Even though I initially hired her to do my hair/makeup for my wedding but have gone to her on several occasions (Engagement photos, a special event for my church, my bridal shower, etc.). She is very professional, easy to get a hold of, such a sweetheart and is a pleasure to talk to while she's working on your hair/makeup! I always brought in a picture of a look I was going for. Not only is she able to replicate it, but her work really makes you feel BEAUTIFUL! She is also very flexible... If I didn't like something, she gladly changed it to what I wanted. I've received SO many compliments EVERY TIME she's done my hair and makeup. I feel very comfortable with her and have even gone to her post-wedding for a hair cut! Can't go wrong with FUSE Hair & Beauty! Thanks Chelsea for everything! <3 -

Rachele Sent on 05/17/2012I must have called at least 5 hair and makeup companies before deciding to go with FUSE Hair & Beauty. I chose FUSE because of the price, customer service and complimentary airbrush tan. When I first spoke with Chelsea, owner of FUSE, I can tell she was coming more as a friend than as another vendor. She took the time to know me unlike other vendors business talking.
I had my complimentary airbrush tan 2 days prior to our wedding day. Chelsea airbrushed my tan and I was very pleased with her work. The tan was natural, didn’t streak, odorless, dried quickly and made my skin tone even, which was great for my strapless gown. The tan lasted a week which was also perfect since we had our honeymoon at Hawaii.
On our wedding day we met at the venue on time. We had at least 2 hours to get my hair and makeup done. Chelsea did such a magnificent job. My hair and makeup was what I envisioned and even better. Everybody complemented her work. I couldn’t have asked for anything better, it was stupendously perfect. Thank you Chelsea for doing what to do best, making brides look glamorous. Thank you FUSE Hair & Beauty.

Kayla Sent on 11/27/2016Chelsea is amazing!!! I am so happy I found her and had her do my hair and make-up for my wedding day. Being out of state it was really hard searching for the right person, plus I wouldn't be able to do a trial which is really scary. Just from our interactions and following her Instagram I knew she was the one.
Communication was great, she arrived to our hotel the morning of the wedding and did my hair and make-up as well as my moms. I felt so beautiful and got so many compliments through out the day. Plus everything stayed in place! Even my wedding planner mentioned how it looks like I just had my make up and hair done even though I was dancing like crazy!
I tend to get really flushed when under stress or dancing around a lot and you would have never noticed.
No doubt that if I have another event in the area I will contact Chelsea. She is so sweet and easy to talk to. She even had the best tips for me regarding my wedding...like dealing with the dress and the restroom. I felt like I knew her for years. Seriously talented and skilled! Can I just have her for everyday life? -

Vicki Sent on 07/22/2013Chelsea of FUSE Hair & Beauty has a wonderful spirit that is contagious. She was fun to have in the bridal room with my MOH and me. I admire for being her own business woman and she is an example of what hard work and dedication can bring.
I selected Chelsea based on reviews I read here on Wedding Wire. As a woman of color, it was important to me that whoever did my makeup was comfortable and competent to work on dark skin. I did my trial at Chelsea's home studio and when she was done, I was beaming on the inside and I'm sure the smile of satisfaction on my face let her know that I was happy with her work.
My MOH didn't do a trial and took a HUGE leap of faith in getting hair and makeup done the day of the wedding, but she was very pleased with the results and Chelsea's work.

Mallory Sent on 07/23/2012I loved my hair and make-up, done by Jenvie!!! Although my hair didnt look much like my inspiration picture it was perfect. Chelsea is very sweet and easy to work with, but getting her and her assistant on the same page was a small issue. We did get it all worked out however they assured me we alloted enough time, but it took longer causing us to be rushed for pictures and something were skipped as a result. So just make sure you allow extra time and wiggle room for yourself. -

Very happy with the final product. Really appreciated how prepared Chelsea was and the timeline she organized for us. She was very flexible to add in additional services last minute so we could have some family members get all glammed up. Ness and Karina were great both in my preview and did an excellent job day of. Karina even edited together an instagram reel which meant the world to me as we didn't have a videographer. Ness also literally carried the back of my dress as I walked down the hill so it didn't get dirty. Just above and beyond. So pleased to have had these ladies around on such a special day! -

Too expensive
The hair and makeup artist were outstanding! No complaints there. I was disappointed with the cost. The bride plus 1 was suppose to be 700.00. But because we only had three others getting hair and makeup done they charged us 225.00 per person AND 65.00 for the groom AND an additional 25.00 per person for lashes!! I would go to MAC for my next daughter’s wedding! Way to expensive! -

Well..at first Chelsea was great! Super friendly and (seemingly) flexible. Although I will say, you always have to be first to text her to confirm appointments (you would think the business would reach out to the customer to confirm appointments that were made 3+ months ago). This is a bit unsettling for a bride.
Then as soon as COVID started happening, my texts were not being answered, my trial (1 on 1..no covid rules being broken) was cancelled by her 3 times for no good reason, I was always the one attempting to reschedule appointments..NOT her, and the contract was not honored when I was forced to cancel.
I also agree with the other bad reviews (yelp, WeddingWire,the knot) that state she is very unprofessional, very unapologetic, and fake-nice. As one other review stated..if you're a nice / non-aggressive bride, she will take advantage of you and your time.
Brides please pay attention to pages 4-5 of the contract if you're going through something similar! This is a natural disaster situation, and every vendor including our venue (shoutout to wedge wood Indian Hills!!)has given AT LEAST partial refunds. Chelsea is NOT doing this even though it's written in the contract. Chelsea stated she could not give me a prorated portion of the Total Cost (as written in the contract), because she does not have the money to do that. She yelled several times "What do you want me to do? What am I supposed to do?!! I don't even have $5 to give you!!" That was the only reasoning I was given. No credit was offered, no partial refund. Nothing. Extremely unprofessional.
I understand with the pandemic everyone is struggling. Heck I'm struggling, losing thousands AND thousands of dollars on this wedding.
It is NOT the clients responsibility to make sure the vendor has enough money to honor their contractual obligations! Nor should the client be made to feel guilty for simply asking for what the contract spells out. How very unprofessional! I have never in my life had a vendor tell me "well what do you want me to do?!" as if it is my fault for simply asking for what's due to me.
We are NOT friends. She was hired to provide a service for me..when services can't be provided we go off of the agreed upon contract. We do not just settle for "oh I don't have the money, oh well sweetie. Goodbye!" Because, again, this is not a friend to friend situation, this is a business deal. No successful company does that.
First of all they do not divulge financials, as Chelsea did. I was stunned, and made very uncomfortable, by this.
Secondly, if they don't have the money, PROFESSIONAL businesses either get government help, they offer credit, or they do both. To not only yell at me, but to also not offer ANY incentive, is not a business I would consider.
I believe that this company should really work on being more professional and honor their contracts. Or they change their contract to something they will feel comfortable honoring, if they do not want to honor their current contract. Brides beware! This company turned what was already a difficult situation into a nightmare.
If you're a military family, you know how orders/deployments/PCS changes all the time. For those milso's looking for hair/makeup, I would NOT recommend this company. They will not honor your contract if/when things must change (as they always do in the military). They are NOT a flexible company. They will stop responding to texts/calls. This is the only wedding vendor that I have encountered since the COVID pandemic that has not been military friendly so far! Awful experience
