  Best of Both Worlds

  If you are looking for a service where you can both the classy sounds of a band but the lively tone of a DJ, Full Swing Sound is for you. Jim and his team can bring you the right music you need for your event. We had an amazing jazz duo for our cocktail hour, bringing in some elegance as our guests arrived to our wedding reception. Then, Jim took over as our MC and DJ and helped keep the night going. Jim was very attentive to our needs and wants and was able to make us and our guests happy. Definitely would recommend to anyone!

  An Incredible and Unique wedding, all thanks to Full Swing Sound

  Thank you to Jim and full swing sound for an incredible day and reception. It’s beyond words how our wedding turned out, But for the sake of this review I will do my best!
  
  From the beginning, Jim is right there to answer questions and detail how everything will go. Everything is clearly laid out on his website where you fill everything out, and from there its really up to you with how detailed and in depth you want to be. He will make sure all the important things are covered, and there is plenty of room to be creative and tailor your ceremony and reception in a way that’s unique to you.
  If you have specific or traditional parts of your ceremony, or dances you want to happen during the reception, he will either already know exactly what to do, or do the research and facilitate it better than anyone could imagine. We had a few traditional dances happen during our reception, and everyone was surprised at how they were done better than any other time they’ve seen it.
  
  He will work with the venue or wedding planner to make sure everything is coordinated and flows smoothly. As far as song selection and the flow of the night, Jim knows exactly what to play and when to play it, and on top of that he makes it looks easy!
  Most importantly though, he will make sure everyone has the time of their lives.
  It was more than just a memorable night for us and our guests, Jim helped bring everyone together, Friends and family, many who met for the first time, and many who hadn’t seen each other in years, and create bittersweet moments that last a lifetime. (I know that might sound cliche) but seeing the smile on my grandparents faces when they talk about our wedding, and hearing friends or family recount the night to us, and how everyone mentions how good the Dj was, is how we know that Jim and full swing sound was an irreplaceable part of our wedding. Thank you!

  Couldn’t Be Happier!!

  We went with Full Swing Sound and could not be happier with our experience! Our DJ was Jim, he was very responsive to our emails, was patient with our questions, and (most importantly) understood our music tastes perfectly. Our dance floor was full the majority of the night, people raved about the song choices, and he was able to appropriately sprinkle in our “must play” list. Jim has a great personality and helped the night flow right on schedule. In addition to DJ services we had a photo booth which was a hit with the guests. Overall, we highly recommend Jim and Full Swing Sound to anyone planning their wedding or event. You will not be disappointed!

  A hidden gem! The best dj and live musicians around!

  Full swing sound is the DJ for you! Trust me! Jim was so helpful and enthusiastic the entire planning process. We chose to have a live pianist and violinist for our ceremony and it was amazing! Such a beautiful and special touch to our wedding ceremony. Jim was our DJ for the whole night and he was the best! He has the perfect announcing voice lol. He made the whole day go so smooth and made sure everything happened perfectly and on schedule. Choose Full Swing Sound for your wedding, you will not regret it!

  So perfect!!!!

  We went with Full Swing Sound for our entertainment for our wedding, and I honestly can't speak any higher of them. We had a string trio for our ceremony, a jazz band for our cocktail hour and a deejay for the dancing. They were so easy to work with and made the planning of every detail so stress free. Matt even went out of his way to custom make sheet music that I wanted to walk down the aisle to with my dad. Also, I have to say they were very good about accommodating our guests and had an outlined plan for our wedding during COVID. That was really reassuring to me and I knew i was in good hands. Do yourself a favor and go with the best for your wedding! I can not recommend them enough!

  Kept our guests dancing!!

  Cannot say enough good things about Full Swing Sound! My husband and I originally decided to use them pre-covid and ended up needing to reschedule. They were so kind and so flexible in allowing us to do so, and luckily were still available for our rescheduled date. We had a string duo for cocktail hour and Jim DJed for us after that. We told him that we love to dance and that we wanted to keep the dance floor full. Even with a small wedding, he managed to do just that! We got so many compliments about the variety of music and that he managed to keep things flowing without making anything feel forced. I want to have another party so we can use these guys again!!

  Loved the live music and dj!

  Absolutely loved the live music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Dj was great, very low key which is what I was looking for. Only think I didn’t love was that he played all of my “must plays” right away, in the order that I wrote them down. So my recommendation would be to put some thought into the order or your list, or tell them that you want them mixed throughout the night! Other that that they were great!

  When I discovered Full Swing Sound I really thought it was too good to be true- they offer so much for such reasonable prices- but they best part is they do such a great job.
  We chose FSS for dj/reception music, jazz duo during cocktail hour, photo booth, and uplighting.
  They made all of these things come together with ease. Their jazz duo was so talented and exactly what we were looking for.
  The dj was wonderful at accommodating our requests and respecting other guests’ requests with the couple’s discretion. The dance floor was full for the whole reception.
  Full Swing Sound does not disappoint!

  September Great Gatsby Wedding

  We cannot recommend this band enough. We had their string duo for our ceremony, jazz trio for cocktail hour and dinner, and DJ for after-dinner dancing. We live in NYC and had our wedding in Buffalo, and the band was super helpful in making the whole process smooth by staying in touch frequently and making themselves available the few times I was in the area before the big day. They were very accommodating in our music choices. What was best, though, is in addition to sounding great they helped the flow of the evening run smoothly and everyone had a wonderful time!

  Full Swing Sound is an Excellent Choice for a Stress Free Fun Party

  We wanted a great party to celebrate our union. From the first meeting Jim was great to work with. He listened carefully and provided a summary of the meeting. He provided a mix of our first three songs (mother's dance, couple's dance, party starter) within a day for our approval. He was spot on. He also worked with us on a custom photo booth design and lighting. By the time the event rolled around we have no concerns whatsoever that things would run smoothly.
  
  The service Full Swing Sound provided at the event was amazing. From the two piece with a singer during cocktails, to the toast, to the first dances, to the DJs ability to provide for non-stop dancing, to the photo booth. Excellent value, easy to work with, flawless execution, stress free, highly recommended.

  Amazing! Great atmosphere

  I would recommend anyone looking for a live band/ DJ/Phtotbooth! We couldn’t ask for anything more! We loved that we had a live band for cocktail hour and dinner and Afterwards do have the Dj and photo booth! Jim was amazing to work with and professional. I made a remix first dance with my dad and he was able to accommodate all the songs I wanted and created a mixtape for us to practice to! We enjoyed them at our wedding ! We hope to use them again one day for any special event!

  Terrific Wedding DJ and Duet

  Matt and his team were so receptive to our wedding plans for our outdoor ceremony and reception. They worked with us by phone and met in person prior to the event, which was very much appreciated. The day of the wedding they were self-sufficient and provided the perfect mix of DJ music for the ceremony and dancing and beautiful saxophone and piano music for cocktail hour and dinner. Multiple guests told us how great they thought their live music performance was. Also, the DJ kept everyone on the dancefloor and made the celebration finish out strong.

  Dream dance floor come true

  Jim Montour DJed our wedding at The Pearl at the Webb. I have lost count of the number of guests that have told my husband and I that they couldn't leave the dance floor! Jim was my perfect DJ - he played every single one of our "must play" songs, he cut our formal dances per our request with perfect fade out and he kindly ignored requests for instructional songs and a birthday shout out. One of our favorite moments of the night was the last song. Jim played Piano Man and the whole party created a circle around my husband and I as we danced and sang. In addition to Jim’s incredible DJing, the Polaroid cameras were SUCH a hit! All of our guests loved taking pictures and we will cherish our Polaroid guest book forever. As a very Type A bride and life-long control freak, I was very nervous about having a great dance floor. I can say with certainty that Jim delivered on every single one of our expectations and I will be recommending him to every Bride I come across!

  Incredible DJ - Got the party started and it never stopped!

  We hired Full Swing Sound for our DJ services for our wedding. They were incredibly easy to work with and played the absolute best wedding music I have ever experienced! The dance floor was going all night long. We appreciate all of your hard work, guys!

  Amazing DJ & Musicians! Amazing value!

  My wife and I currently live in Philadelphia, but had our wedding back in hometown Buffalo, which we thought would make for some tricky planning. However, as soon as we found Full Swing Sound, Jim and Matt were not only extremely helpful in answering any questions we had, but they guided us through the music process to ensure a stress-free wedding! We went with the band and DJ package and could not be happier with how the night went. Chris was our DJ, and while we gave him a selection of songs we wanted to here, he was the master of ceremonies, and knew exactly how to get people on the dance floor.   My wife and I currently live in Philadelphia, but had our wedding back in hometown Buffalo, which we thought would make for some tricky planning. However, as soon as we found Full Swing Sound, Jim and Matt were not only extremely helpful in answering any questions we had, but they guided us through the music process to ensure a stress-free wedding! We went with the band and DJ package and could not be happier with how the night went. Chris was our DJ, and while we gave him a selection of songs we wanted to here, he was the master of ceremonies, and knew exactly how to get people on the dance floor.   Professional and accommodating

  Full swing sound brought a twist on just having a a DJ. We had a pianist and saxophonist for our cocktail and dinner hours ans it really brought an ambiance to the wedding. After dinner was the dancing and Jim did a phenomenal keeping the dance floor packed. Everyone had a great time.

  Seriously the Best

  We booked Jim from Full Swing Sound for our wedding and honestly I think that was the best decision of the entire wedding planning. There is the option to have a two piece jazz ensemble to play during dinner and the cocktail hour, which we thought was really cool, but we didn't go with ultimately because we were going for a different vibe. As a DJ, Jim was so pleasant, so sweet, so organized, and calm/cool/collected the day of, he just made everything run perfectly. Music was great and he didn't do any weird commentary ("This one's for the ladies!"), he was super professional, super cool, easy to work with and didn't judge us on our weird music choices. Honestly, if you're planning a wedding in Buffalo, just hire him. Just do it. We cannot say enough about how great he is!

  Full Swing Sound was incredible from booking all the way through to the big day. The musicians were incredible and Jim was an awesome DJ. When I heard "Storybook Love" played by the musicians on my way down the aisle I don't think I've ever been happier! Thank you!

  We had a great experience working with Full Swing Sound as our wedding DJ. We selected them because we wanted live music during our cocktail hour and then a DJ for dancing later on. They were really easy to work with and helped make the wedding planning process as least stressful as possible. They are very organized and were able to accommodate all of our requests! We were able to meet with them in person prior to our event which I appreciated; I like being able to put a face to the name and make the experience more personable! We are really happy that we selected Full Swing Sound and would recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding DJ and/or talented musicians to play for any part of their wedding festivities (cocktail hour or ceremony).

  If you want someone who is incredibly responsive, someone who bends over backwards for you, who is absolutely pleasant, polite, talented, and professional, then Jim from Full Sound Swing is the most perfect DJ for you! We had a custom made photobooth template! Which, Jim was very patient and attentive to our requests. We had a saxophonist and pianist during cocktail hour and during dinner (really helps set the tone and the mood of the evening). Everyone was raving about the pianist at the ceremony (loved guessing which Disney song would play next), and everyone raves on how much fun they had dancing at the reception. Best night ever! Jim helped to run things smoothly and seamlessly. Thank you so much Jim for helping to make our night magical!

  My husband and I went out on a limb and booked full swing sound without actually meeting them. We saw they had good reviews, they had everything we were looking for so we took the chance and boy are we extremely happy we did! These guys were amazing!! They were so easy to work with and very responsive to phone calls and emails, they really make the entire process very easy. We had the 2 piece band for our ceremony and hor d'oeuvres. They asked me what songs I wanted for everything so I picked them and they had no issues with anything. Every song that we picked was perfect and sounded amazing. DJ Jim was great and had more people than I expected on the dance floor all night! We had the photo booth which was a huge hit with our guest and the uplighting was perfect they even did a personalized monogram lighting for us! I can't say enough good things about Matt and Jim. I highly recommend them to everyone!
