  Absolutely Fantastic !!

  Ryan was more than I could ever of asked for as a photographer. We got married at Silcox Hut which is in the middle of the mountain, due to weather conditions we weren't able to do exactly what we had in mind but Ryan was more than willing to give us the photos that we asked for, he hiked up in the snow with us to take shots of my husband and I snowboarding, mind you in 40mph winds. He was absolutely fantastic! I could not be happier!!

  We loved having Ryan and his wife Joelle photograph our wedding! They took the time to meet with us about a year before our wedding date, where they were happy to answer any of our questions and not make us feel pressured in making our decision right away. Once we decided to go with them, based on their amazing photography skills as well as their fun personalities, we booked our engagement session. My fiance and I were so nervous to take our engagement photos because neither of us love being in front of the camera, but Ryan made us feel so comfortable and we genuinely had so much fun during our session. Ryan was extremely prompt with his communication and was always willing to answer our questions and let us make changes. Leading up to the wedding, Ryan sent us a very detailed questionnaire which asked for the names of everyone in our bridal party, if we were doing a first look, etc. I distinctly remember the day of our wedding, Ryan used some of our family member's first names which made them feel really important! Ryan and Joelle also made sure they were very respectful of our wishes to not let my fiance and I see each other before the ceremony. It was tricky, but they were able to make it work where we both got awesome photos with our bridal parties at different locations around the venue. Throughout the night, we could tell Ryan and Joelle were committed to taking great photos of all our wedding details. They were so easy going and fun to work with on our wedding day, we really didn't mind leaving our reception a few times to take photos at different points when the sun was setting because they were so fun to be around. We received some sample photos within a week of our wedding day, and we cannot wait to see the rest! We truly recommend FS photography to anyone getting married in the Portland Area and beyond. If you're looking for fun, energetic and creative photographers, look no further :)

  We cannot say enough on how grateful and happy we were to have Ryan and Joelle as our photographers! From the moment we met Ryan we immediately clicked with him and knew they were going to be perfect. We talked for over an hour in the first meeting so he could get to know us as a couple and the feel of our wedding. We chose to have an engagement session with Ryan and once we received our photos we knew we made the right choice.
  About a month before the wedding, I met with Ryan and Joelle to discuss details for the day-of. They went through the survey they sent us about exactly what type of shots we did and did not want, the timeline of the day, any special family circumstances they should know about, and logistics for our location. On the day-of, Ryan and Joelle were professional and organized while remaining calm and relaxed. It was unseasonably warm on our wedding day and Joelle was so sweet constantly checking to make sure I was doing OK. They offered their professional insight and suggestions and coordinated amazing "staged" shots without being overly cheesy. They melded seamlessly with our friends and family throughout the night and took some on the spot requests. The photos themselves beautifully captured our joy as well as the emotions of our friends and family throughout the night. Towards the end of the night they grabbed us to get some gorgeous sunset shots and give us some relaxed photos to capture how we felt after we had been married. We were given a few sneak previews a few of weeks later and the full set followed shortly. Everything is done electronically which makes printing and sending to family very easy. They offer lovely print options and albums which we took advantage of. The photographer is the best investment of your wedding day and we must say, Ryan and Joelle are incredible at their craft as well as incredible people. We highly recommend working with them on your wedding day. I wish we could get married again just to work with them again!!

  We selected Ryan and Joelle as our wedding photographers after admiring their beautiful photographs and sharing as many laughs as business discussions during our initial meet-and-greet. Five months later, they shot our ~80 guest ceremony and reception. This review may seem hyperbolic, but this truly was THE BEST decision we could have made! FS Photography was inordinately helpful, organized, and timely leading up to the wedding - asking us detailed questions about shots we'd like to see, the order of events, and any special family situations they should be aware of. Ryan responded to all of our questions quickly, and offered invaluable opinions and insight. He made planning our day easier, and gave us confidence that we could pull this off! On the day of the wedding, Ryan and Joelle integrated seamlessly into our ceremony and reception. They both "hit the ground running" and were an integral part of setting up and producing our DIY wedding. Joelle did a beautiful job with keeping the bride calm, cool, collected and on time! Our bridal party and families enjoyed getting to know both of them, and benefited from their calm, patient, extremely knowledgable direction and guidance during formal shots. Ryan and Joelle struck the perfect balance between being assertive enough to capture those magical moments, and being unobtrusive enough to let us experience them. They were both consummate professionals, yet also fun, personable individuals that felt more like guests than vendors. Their stunning photographs speak for themselves. We could not be happier with our experiences with Ryan and Joelle of FS Photography, and highly recommend them for any and all of your photography needs!

  We had a terrific experience with Ryan and Joelle from FS Photography and I would recommend them to any bride/groom in the Pac NorthWest! First, Ryan and Joelle are some of the nicest, most genuine people out there, making them extremely easy to work with! My {now} husband and I live in Denver, CO and were traveling to Bend, OR for our wedding. They made it very easy to find a time that worked for the both of us to shoot our engagement photos (which we were debating doing in the first place but had a BLAST)!
  
  Second, their work is incredible! They captured the entire event, "feelings", atmosphere, lighting/environment, everything so wonderfully. My entire family still tears up as we scroll through the photos and play the slideshow they made for us. It has been very difficult picking which photos we will frame!
  
  Lastly, they were extremely accommodating throughout the entire weekend! We asked them last minute to arrive a bit early and stay a bit late- not a problem! Also, our invites somehow did not make it to them for photographs- again, not a problem! We mailed the paper goods to them after the wedding and they photographed them. It really meant a lot to me!
  
  Have fun with FS Photography! They are the best!

  I can not recommend enough working with Ryan and Joelle. Our images were amazing and a perfect representation of us and our wedding.

  We were very pleased with Ryan as our photographer. We had a lot of fun with his creativity during our engagement photo session and he delivered what we asked in the way he documented our wedding day. He was punctual, patient, respectful, organized, and made us feel very comfortable. He is very talented at capturing both landscapes and people. We highly recommend Ryan at FS Photography as a wedding photographer!

  Ryan Flood is an amazing photographer! We planned our wedding from out of state, so relied entirely on websites and reviews to make our choice. Ryan was so great throughout the entire process. He was accommodating and flexible with our needs and budget. He listened to us and helped us find our personal style (my husband and I are not photographers).
  
  The resulting photographs were beyond my dreams! He captured the moment and the feeling perfectly. And he got us our photos so quickly. He is amazing! I highly recommend him!

  If I were able to give Ryan & Joelle more stars I would. They were so sweet and fit right into out party, it was though old friends were shooting our wedding. I know that it could not have been easy when it came time to take a picture of my very large and slightly distracted family but they made it seem like a walk in the park. You would be a fool not to hire this lovely and talented couple for any occasion.

  Ryan and Joelle photographed my friends wedding 8 years ago, and when it was my turn I jumped at the chance to hire them. They were so amazing to work with. From our first interview, to our engagement session, to the wedding day and on they have made us feel comfortable and provided us with the most beautiful and artistic memories! They captured our day exactly the way we hoped. Their style is anything but stuffy and they seem to adjust to each personality and style. I have really enjoyed getting to know these two great people and will use them for any and all future big events in our lives.

  Ryan and Joelle did such a wonderful job photographing my wedding and I highly recommend them. They are creative photographers who know how to capture the beauty and emotions of the day. They made it easy for me to relax while being photographed. They were fun and flexible and I am so happy we hired them. My guests have been gushing over how beautiful the photos came out. Their fees are quite reasonable for the quality of the photos too.

  We cannot find enough ways to describe how thrilled we were that we chose Ryan and Joelle to shoot our wedding! They were wonderful from the very first meeting, and made sure they got to know us as a couple, in order to shoot our wedding in the most authentic way. Ryan was even game for an adventurous sunset hike to capture some amazing memories on our engagement shoot. They also met with us in person to discuss details for the day-of, and made sure to ask questions about exactly what type of shots we did and did not want, the timeline of the day, any special family circumstances they should know about, and logistics for our location. We were confident that we were in very capable and passionate hands every step of the way. On the day-of, Ryan and Joelle were focused, professional, and organized, but it truly felt like they were friends of ours that we asked to shoot our wedding. They melded seamlessly with our friends and family, and everyone kept asking who our awesome friends were that were taking the photos?! The photos themselves beautifully captured the feeling and energy of the day, and never felt like they were trying to impose their own style. Ryan and Joelle did an incredible job of sticking to our timeline, and, as discussed, took a few opportune moments to get some gorgeous pictures when the light was right, but never prevented us from enjoying time with our family and friends. The turnaround time for our photos was prompt, and everything was done electronically. They also offered lovely print options and albums. We highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend booking with FS photography; it was truly one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding.

  We worked with Ryan/FS Photography for both our engagement photos (which he did with us in New York City) and our wedding photos. He was so easy and pleasant to work with and very good about being flexible with us to achieve the look we were hoping for. Especially for the New York photos, he was great about being willing to let us try out different sites and even go a little off the beaten track. Our wedding venue was at Gorge Crest Vineyards, and it was nice that he'd had much experience at that site and knew the ins and outs of the property and the best timing for the various shots.
