We did a few tastings for our wedding cupcakes and Frostings was our favorite in Richmond! They were also able to make us a two tiered wedding cake for us to cut. Another plus is that they are open for delivery on weekends and allowed us to rent the cupcake stand. Compared to other options, this was a more affordable route to go. Both cake and cupcakes were moist and kept for days. Highly recommend! -

Delicious cupcakes and cutting cake from Frostings at our wedding!
We worked with Frostings for cupcakes and a small cutting cake at our wedding and they were fantastic. We ended up making a last minute stop at the shop on a trip through Central VA even though we hadn’t managed to schedule a cupcake tasting in time, but they were still super accommodating and gave us a to-go tasting, even creating one cupcake for us in a flavor that they didn’t have a batch of at the time. We selected their Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, Milk and Cookies, and Peach Cobbler cupcakes, along with a simple almond semi-naked cake, and everything turned out delicious! Next time we’re in town, we’re looking forward to going back and trying more of their wide variety of flavors. Highly recommend them for your wedding! Photos courtesy of Hart of Grace Photography. -

frostings review
Frostings was amazing for our wedding! they created a beautiful simplistic cake and cupcakes that we wanted. They are affordable and accommodating! They set up at the venue and everything turned out great! We have the rest of our cake in the freezer for our first anniversary! -

Frostings was my favorite bakery before getting engaged, so I knew they'd be the perfect choice for my wedding. They were amazing to work with, from the tasting to delivery on my wedding day.
Matt is the nicest person to work with and made the whole process seamless and easy - plus, there are so many flavors to choose from, including allergen-free options. -

My husband and I loved using Frostings for our dessert! They made everything easy and put our cake setting together beautifully! Our cupcakes and cake were so tasty and everyone at our wedding loved them! We will definitely be coming back to frostings! -

Jennifer Sent on 03/01/2018I am so glad I went with Frostings for my wedding cake and cupcakes. They did such an amazing job with my special request! I knew from the moment I met with them, they were going to be the right people to handle my wedding cake.
A little bit of background, my wedding was in December of 2017 and we had a Star Wars themed wedding. I wanted some pretty intricate cakes and cupcakes featuring Star Wars designs - a sarlaac pit, some wampas, Luke's hut, the usual. They took my ideas and made them a thousand times better than I could ever imagine!
Everyone couldn't stop talking about how amazing the cakes and cupcakes were! There were barely any leftovers by the time our wedding was over! I couldn't be more happy with Frostings and how professional they were. Their cakes and cupcakes are also DELICIOUS and they have a wide variety of flavors to choose from! Thank you so much for making our day unforgettable, Frostings!

Hope Sent on 03/01/2016Frostings Bake Shop located in the West End is wonderful place to book your upcoming wedding cupcakes and cutting cake. My fiancé and I just submitted our deposit to reserve Frostings for our July wedding. Casey the Wedding Coordinator is amazing. She is very quick to answer all of my questions and so very helpful. We are going to have a two tier wedding cake and then cupcakes for our guests. We are so excited for something different yet fun when it comes to wedding cakes! -

Everyone at the shop was wonderful to work with for my wedding, and everyone is so nice even when I would go in as a "normal" customer to pick up a cupcake for a snack. I met with Amanda a few months before my wedding for a tasting and we settled on flavors and decorations. She sent me a quote for everything within a week of our meeting. She was super prompt with answering e-mails, and was very understanding and let me pay my final payment a few days late when I completely spaced out on when the payment was due. She called me twice the week before the wedding to make sure they had all of my requests correct and to talk about when/where I would like the cupcakes set up if it was hot outside the day of the wedding. I'm not even sure if they got any help from anyone when they dropped the cupcakes off because I was getting ready, but they had the cupcakes set up exactly how I wanted and they looked gorgeous! The best part about using Frostings for my wedding is that I can go get a delicious cupcake whenever I want! -

Allison Sent on 05/18/2012Frostings really did a wonderful job on my 4 choices of personalized mini cupcakes along with a cutting cake for the day of our wedding. The cutting cake was marble with a white chocolate fondat with our wedding color in a scroll design overlay. It was truly beautiful. The cupcakes where loved by all and only a few remaining were sent home with family. Will look forward to using the business for future events. Amanda and the staff are wonderful to work with and answer any questions. -

They could not have been more responsive or helpful during the order & selection process, and the delivery & setup went without a hitch! Loved working with these folks! -

We wanted to create an experience with our cake and did not want a traditional one. So we opted for cupcakes and they were scrumptious!!! Oh, did I mention the groom’s/birthday cake was AMAZING!!! The variety and taste had our guest talking long after the wedding. -
