User1714459 Sent on 07/15/2014DO NOT USE THIS BAKERY! We paid almost $1,000 for our cakes and they turned out TERRIBLE. My cake was leaning sideways. My husbands looked extremely unprofessional and amateur. We ordered one flavor, and when we cut into my cake...IT WAS THE WRONG FLAVOR. Not only was it the wrong flavor, it was burned and dry. I was sold on a product that was not delivered and was completely embarrassed THAT disgusting mess was served to my guests. My husband's red velvet was also dry and unappetizing. When we did our consult, we loved Frosted Whimsy's product. It was moist, and just what we were looking for. Unfortunately, when it counted, the product and outcome were a mess and I was so disappointed. The owner did not take any responsibility for her work, and I would never use her again.Frosted Whimsy's reply:
I am very sorry that you were unhappy. I was told you loved both cakes, but were not satisfied with the flavor. You were ecstatic when you saw them and I made an extra trip for a stand that was not ordered because I saw how important that it was to have one and your mother wanted that for you. I made the 1 hour round trip- I go above for my customers. You ordered 2 tiers of white cake and 2 tiers of white chocolate raspberry with white buttercream filling. I was told that it was not the same flavor, but it was the same that I created at the tasting- I am truly sorry if it was not as strong with the white Chocolate or the Raspberry- It was the same recipe. I was shown a picture of the inside where the outside edges were brown. After any cake is cooked it browns around the edges- I was told that I should had cut it off, but if you cut off the side which hold the cake together, it may fall apart, not stack well, or cause uneveness around the sides. The design- when I was there you loved them. The brides cake had a heavy layering texture on one side, but we all looked and again you approved with happiness. The groom's cake was in the shape of Texas with 3 block letters on top with a star. Again everyone loved it. When a family member stopped by and told me how much you were unhappy with the flavor, it did not have filling, etc. I expressed how sorry I was that the bride was unhappy. I had the order hanging on the door to verify fillings, etc and I created what was ordered. My heart was very heavy over the situation because I don't want any bride to be upset. I immediately offered the family member that brought back my stand a gift certificate and she said that the bride would not accept it.
