Jenny made the most magical cake for our castle wedding
When we gave the inspo picture we were not sure how the final cake we turn out. It was absolutely gorgeous and was exactly what we wanted. Wanted the cake to look like a castle and have the bride and groom topper. It was perfect. The photographer said it was the prettiest cake she had ever photographed. Oh and it tasted good too. Jenny was a joy to work with. I’m not sure about cost of wedding cakes but this was so perfect it was worth every penny. I will post a picture. 5 stars for Jenny and her team. The cake and cake setup were magical and exactly what we asked for. Highly recommend. -

Exquisite and Delectable
Our wedding cake was absolutely delicious and beautiful. Our guests raved about our cake which was one of a kind and so yummy (three layers with two different flavors: chocolate and raspberry and lemon and passion fruit). Jennifer was very responsive to our design ideas for our Fly Me to the Moon theme, and I can’t recommend Frosted Fox highly enough. -

We could not be happier that our wedding cake was taken care of by the team at the Frosted Fox! Early in our wedding planning process, we had decided that we wanted a small cake that would only be for us & tailored just to our liking - as a way to have something special just between the 2 of us, in case the rest of the day became too chaotic with our guests. A fear of mine was that since we were looking for a smaller "product" than a traditional wedding cake, it might be difficult to find someone willing to spend the time personalizing the design to what we were looking for. As soon as we had our meeting with Jennifer, I knew we wouldn't have to worry about that with her team. She listened to everything we had to say, offered suggestions that heightened our original idea based off of what we were describing to her & genuinely seems to enjoy the creative design aspect of her role. The entire team was prompt, helpful & so friendly any time we had to reach out leading up to our wedding day!
Seeing our cake for the first time on our wedding day was so special because it was something shared between just us & our parents & it was GORGEOUS - words cannot describe! I can't remember ever being at a wedding where the guests are going out of their way to check out where the cake is set up but it happened for us all night! The only thing better than the design of the cake was HOW IT TASTED!! Red velvet cake has played a recurring role throughout our relationship for any & all special occasions & we both agreed we want to continue the tradition in our marriage - but strictly from the Frosted Fox from this point on! We actually skipped the afterparty at the hotel in favor of eating more cake in bed, just us 2. And that's saying something!! Thank you so much to the team at the Frosted Fox Cake Shop! -

Great bakers, great cakes
TL;DR: responsive, transparent, professional. Budget-friendly. Moist, flavourful cakes. Easy taste-testing. Excellent design execution.
I have had an excellent experience working with Frosted Fox for our very belated wedding-ish party. Theirs was the only bake shop of several that I called that actually picked up and immediately provided rough prices (well within out budget). Not only are they responsive, but also transparent and were willing to work with me on flavours and design to meet my budget.
Their storefront also has “scrapple cups” made of excess cake scraps and frosting that easily let you try their flavour combinations. These not only helped us taste-test (which can otherwise be expensive with an official tasting, and often cannot be scheduled at all on a short notice like for our party), but is also a more accurate representation of the final product than say cupcakes would be (as some shops do for taste-testing), which bake differently than cake and can often be drier than the actual cakes.
We had a lot of back and forth and they were very patient and full of expert advice on flavours and design both. We came up with designs together and their execution far exceeded my expectations. Also, they didn’t use any fondant. The cakes tasted amazing and were moist with good texture and had really well-proportioned filling and frosting. I love desserts but don’t like being overwhelmed with sugar. The cakes were not overly sweet, but had the flavours shine through.
We bought three single-tier cakes with individualised floral designs - chocolate cake / chocolate frosting / Bavarian cream; carrot cake / cream cheese frosting / chai filling; and lemon cake / passionfruit and lemon curd alternating / cream cheese frosting. I loved each of these. I can’t pick a favourite.
I wholeheartedly recommend Frosted Fox! -

Frosted Fox was recommended to us by our venue, and we are so glad we hired them. The cake was a three-tiered cake with gold brush strokes to give an illusion of a semi-naked cake. We did rasper and jam, pumpkin and bavarian cream, and pumpkin with cream cheese for our flavors. Each tier of the cake was delicious and not too sweet. Overall, my experience with Frosted Fox was seamless, from the cake's design to set-up at the wedding. I highly recommend them. -

We are so glad we went with Frosted Fox for our wedding cake.We went with a three tiered- semi naked cake. Flavors were yellowcake with Bavarian cream, devils food with Bavarian cream, and yellow cake with strawberry jam.
Everything was super fresh, cakes were moist, and not too sweet! The Devils Food flavor may actually be my favorite chocolate cake of all time. We also really appreciated the little cartoon modeling chocolate figurine of our dog they were able to create. Can't wait to get our anniversary cake from them :) -

Beautiful AND Delicious Wedding Cake
Frosted Fox made the most incredible cake for my wedding. I got married in an art museum and had a very specific vision for how I wanted the cake to look – I wanted to cake to have brush strokes throughout to look like it was a piece of art. Frosted Fox executed that vision perfectly. We had a 4 tier cake with different flavors and our guests are still talking about how good our cake was. We saved the top layer and ate it the day after our wedding and can confirm, it was delicious! I would highly recommend using them for any wedding cake needs, their team is extremely talented. -

The entire process was so easy, starting with the tasting box- this was such a fun way to sample everything with our family. We couldn't decide on even just two flavor combinations... and luckily we didn't have to! Jennifer was so great to work with, and was able to design an incredibly beautiful cake that perfectly captured the colors and mountain theme that we were going for. From texture to flavor to sweetness to design, the cake was seriously amazing! -

Working with Jennifer and The Frosted Fox Cake Shop was such a breeze. From the initial consultation to the cake sampling, everything was done seamlessly. However, if you ever had any questions or needed any changes, The Frosted Fox was quick to respond. As for the final result, my husband and I absolutely loved our wedding cake!! It was so beautiful and exceeded our expectations. As soon as I took a bite of our wedding cake, I was literally taken aback by how amazing our cake tasted. We got compliments all night! We would definitely recommend the Frosted Fox Cake to anyone looking for a gorgeous and delicious wedding cake! -

Our cake was a dream come true!
We were thrilled with our wedding cake from The Frosted Fox. As a dessert lover and baker myself, I have high standards for cake, and our cake was a dream come true. We chose the devils food cake with the chocolate mousse filling and standard vanilla buttercream frosting. The buttercream was silky smooth and not too sweet. Often wedding cakes are dense and/or dry, and ours was neither. It was moist, fluffy, and perfectly light and decadent at the same time. We and our guests loved it so much we finished the leftovers at breakfast the next morning! Jennifer and Sean were a pleasure to work with too—we asked for a semi-naked cake and they matched our vision perfectly. We also opted for an identical flavor kitchen cake in addition to the 2-tier cake we displayed, because we liked the look of a smaller cake better but needed more slices given our guest count. We hope to come back and have their cake again on future anniversaries! -

Jennifer Low is an absolute pleasure to work with. She and her team bake the most delicious wedding cakes and host the best tasting. She is an artist! She brought my bright and bold floral cake to life for my intimate outdoor wedding at Bartram's Garden. I would highly recommend working with the Frosted Fox for any special occasion! We went with the Frosted Fox for a small elopement cake we wanted for our August 2020 celebration. Jennifer and her team were a pleasure to work with and were very responsive and flexible.
Jennifer spent time on a phone call with me to discuss cake ideas and pricing and they were able to create a small, affordable, two-tiered cake that checked all the boxes. They also made a special mini-cake for us to try their Red Velvet flavor before ordering(which is what we wanted for our cake). They also quickly accommodated a request I had to change the design after our discussion and accepted feedback I had about our initial Red Velvet mini-cake. Our cake turned out beautiful and, of course, delicious! -

My partner and I were a little all over the place with ideas for the cake. I kept pinning new ideas, but I narrowed it down to a few. Once we scheduled a tasting and consultation, we obviously got a better idea on what flavor we wanted. I showed her my top favorite ideas and she really ran with it! She ended up combining a few elements from each and created one gorgeous masterpiece... and it tasted as good as it looked! -

We gave such a short time frame. Ordering the cake just a couple of days before our wedding. The team at Frosted Fox Cake Shop were so amazing and our cake turned out great. Considering the time frame we didn't have a cake testing but it was quite possibly the best cake we ever had. Everyone loved it and asked where the cake was from and I know they will be going there often. I know where we will be going to for our cakes from now on as well. I ordered a groom's cake for my husband as a surprise for our rehearsal dinner. The Frosted Fox team was so responsive to my emails and requests for specific decorations, colors, flavors, etc. I must have emailed them at least a dozen time and they were always polite, helpful, and so fun to work with! They even accommodated to let me pick the cake up a day early to relieve some week-of wedding planning stress.
They're a very talented team of bakers and designers, and I highly recommend them for everything from special cookie favors to complex wedding cakes. Thanks so much for the amazing treats! -

We picked Frosted Fox to make our wedding cake because the owner graduated from my younger sister/MOH's high school in Germantown, Phila. Jennifer was super easy to work with. Their shop is mall but they made room for our group for our cake tasting. We picked flavors we loved and went for a simple cake decoration. They delivered! The cake was simple and beautiful. Their shop is so easy to work with, very responsive, and overall lovely. Make sure to grab some cookies when you stop in to their shop! -

We had a really easy time choosing Frosted Fox as our wedding cake vendor. We knew we wanted to support a local business, and from the first contact, Jen was amazing to work with. We did visit another bakery in the area as well, but the service at Frosted Fox felt so much more personal. Jen was at our tasting, emailed with us ahead of time about what flavors we wanted, walked us through the design and ordering process on site, and was amazingly accommodating and patient with my many, many questions. Rave reviews from the bride, groom, and all of our guests. Our cake was extremely simple compared to what Frosted Fox is capable of, but for us, the cake and the entire experience working with Jen and her team was perfect! -

We live in Mt Airy and were already fans of the delightful bakeshop in our neighborhood. FF is amazing and the owners are always there working of things, which I think speaks so highly of the business. Their cookies, cakes and lemon bars are killer. SO good. I knew I wanted to do a cake tasting there the second we got engaged. Even though we had 18 months between our engagement and our wedding, I reached out to FF right away to get details about a cake tasting. We didn't even bother going anywhere else. We LOVED the tasting. Jenny gave us space to play with the flavors ourselves and then cake back when we were ready to talk us through the process. Of course the cake was delicious and we're counting down the days for our first anniversary to taste our cake all over again. Thanks Jenny and Sean! -

You guys. Hands down the best cake I have ever eaten, and I'm a baker myself. Jen made my wedding cake for my 9/22 wedding and to say she knocked it out of the park is an understatement. Her pumpkin cake is to die for. I actually have dreams about it, that's how good it is. I asked for a 4 tier naked cake (we picked different flavors and frostings for every tier) and when I arrived at the venue (a very non-traditional aircraft hangar wedding) and saw the cake I actually screamed, that's how good it looked. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we will be buying many more cakes from her in the future. -

We thought we would shop around for a while before picking a baker but after our first visit to the Frosted Fox we were sold. Working with Jenny and Sean was great from start to finish. The tasting at their shop was so much fun. The variety of flavors and fillings was overwhelming but Jenny guided us through all of it. My husband and I have very different taste preferences but we both were able to decided on flavors and fillings that we both loved - lemon and raspberry for the main and top tier, chocolate chip with chocolate mousse for the second tier, and vanilla and strawberry for the third tier. Our guests raved about the cake and kept saying how delicious it was. From start to finish Frosted Fox was responsive, within our price point, and on time. We didn't have a single issue with them and couldn't recommend them more!

Alex Sent on 06/12/2018We chose to do our cake tasting and ultimately our wedding cake at Frosted Fox because of their wide variety of flavor options along with their beautiful gallery of cakes, and we are SO glad that we did! The cake tasting allows you to mix and match 4 cake flavors, 4 fillings, and 4 frostings in order to create the perfect combination. We chose to go with a 4 tiered cake - 2 tiers of Lemon cake with cinnamon cream cheese filling, and 2 tiers of carrot cake with cinnamon cream cheese filling. The whole cake was frosted with vanilla buttercream. It really was one of the most delicious cakes I have ever eaten and all of our guests LOVED it.
We chose the appearance of our cake based on a similar cake in their gallery, and it turned out amazing. There was some concern as the design we liked used fondant while we did not want any fondant, however Frosted Fox still managed to create the perfect looking cake using strictly buttercream. We could not be happier with what we ended up with! -

They helped the Hubs and I blend our personal styles as we put together a cake we both loved from a flavor and visual perspective. The cake had a little something for everyone. At the time of the selection we had our son with us, he went on record saying it was the best day of his life as he ate his way thru tasty treat after tasty treat. On cake selection day we even took home some cookies, a good sign.
The opinion of a 7 year old aside, our guests raved about the cake. It was visually stunning and the taste was equally delightful. It was a three tier cake with a vanilla with raspberry jam top layer, marble with mocha butter cream middle tier, and devils chocolate with mocha and peanut butter butter cream bottom tier. Each layer delivered a different flavor profile from light to super decadent which helped as we served up to 100 guests of varying tastes at our wedding. Delivery was right on time and it thawed to perfect cake eating temperature during our wedding reception.
I can't say more good things. If you're in the market for a great baker in the Philadelphia area, please seek out the Frosted Fox!!!! Jennifer & Sean will not disappoint. Also take home some cookies because they're great too! -

She knew exactly what we were asking for and delivered a cake that was beyond my expectations. Not only was the cake beautiful, but guests were RAVING about how delicious it was. A few weeks after the wedding and family and friends are still talking about how good it was. I can't wait until next year when we can break out the top layer for our anniversary!

Ashley Sent on 01/19/2017From the moment I walked into the Frosted Fox Cake shop, I knew this place was special. The look and feel of the shop is very rustic and gorgeous and the cakes and sugar work take your breath away.
We sampled cakes from 4 different shops and frosted Fox had the best cake and service by far! I loved that we were able to choose which flavors we wanted to taste and they were amazing. My favorite was peanut butter cake with honey vanilla buttercream frosting.
Day of, our wedding cake was everything I asked for and more. They really took everything we discussed and made it a reality. The sugar flowers and detail work came out beautifully. I recommend the Frosted Fox Bakery to anyone. I am definitely now a repeat customer. -

Because we were having a full dessert bar with cupcakes at our wedding, we opted to have only a small cutting cake. We held our wedding ceremony in the Franklin Institute planetarium, so wanted a celestial themed cake. They certainly delivered--with a midnight blue vanilla cake frosted with white, pearlescent buttercream. The passion fruit curd added a wonderful--and summery--tang. Thank you! -
