Perfect Venue!!
We couldn’t of selected a better venue to fit our wedding. It was the best option for us. Not only was the octagonal barn stunning, the museum has so many places to take wedding photos. The Irish Farm has a stone bridge and we took our first look photos and wedding party photos there! The staff was on point and was there to help any way possible!! My husband and I would recommend this venue to anyone! We couldn’t of selected a better venue to fit our wedding. It was the best option for us. Beautiful, natural venue
We had our ceremony and reception at the Octagonal Barn. Cost was very reasonable for this area and staff is very helpful and professional. The venue and its surroundings offer lots of room for you to be creative or embrace the natural beauty. The venue coordinator, Erin, was very helpful when it came to figuring out the floor plan, coordinating rentals and showing us how others had decorated. She was very responsive and present on the wedding day. Whatever we needed, she was on it!We had our ceremony and reception at the Octagonal Barn. The Octagonal Barn was the perfect setting for my daughter's recent wedding. The weather cooperated (perfect for a June wedding) so the ceremony and cocktail hour could be held outdoors. The staff was helpful, answered all questions in a timely manner, and let us decorate the barn to the couple's liking. Also, we were able to inexpensively rent a golf cart, for those who needed assistance, in moving from the amphitheater to the barn or parking lot. We were so pleased with the setting and heard so many positive comments from the guests. The Octagonal Barn was the perfect setting for my daughter's recent wedding. The frontier Culture Museum made for a beautiful location for my April wedding! Although it poured the rain and we had to reevaluate our wedding ceremony. I think they adjusted to our Rain plan beautifully. They were easy to work with and made my wedding day special. It is also nice the pavilion came with chairs and tables. Kerri was super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The frontier Culture Museum made for a beautiful location for my April wedding! Kerri the event coordinator was very helpful and responsive through this process of planing our wedding. She answered every question we had and had helpful tips! The staff checked on us during the wedding but not intrusively and gave us everything we needed. This is a great venue for those who are into DIY. We transformed the barn into what we wanted. You can't beat the price!Kerri the event coordinator was very helpful and responsive through this process of planing our wedding. She answered every question we had and had helpful tips! We chose the Octagonal Barn at the Frontier Culture Museum for our reception because we were excited by the rustic look, beautiful surroundings, and the blank canvas of the space that we could decorate. We were also thrilled not to have to rent chairs and tables. The staff was incredibly accommodating from our tour to the day of help. We have no regrets about this venue and couldn't believe we could afford it for our budget wedding. I whole heartedly recommend them!We chose the Octagonal Barn at the Frontier Culture Museum for our reception because we were excited by the rustic look, beautiful surroundings, and the blank canvas of the space that we could decorate. When I first booked the Frontier Culture Museum, I was in love! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, the price was excellent, and the venue was beautiful. Unfortunately, nine months before our wedding a new event coordinator, Erin, was hired. Speaking with her close to the wedding, she tried to institute things that were not in my contract (such as no flamed candles and having an ABC beverage license). We were told that we could not come to the venue the night before to set up because there was another event going on (initially we were told we could come as long as there wasn't another wedding) but our decorator came the night before and set up and told us there was no event going on. We also had to call when we arrived at the venue to get someone to unlock the doors even though Erin told me she would have the building unlocked at 8AM the day of. It rained the day of our wedding and I was trying to go to the bottom part of the barn to get out of the rain around 1:30PM only to find out that they had locked the doors after we had already been in there that morning, so I had to stand in the rain in my wedding dress, hair, and makeup while we waited for Erin to show up and unlock the doors again. The venue was gorgeous and the original staff was fantastic, but I am not a fan of the new coordinator. I think this venue is a great value for the money, but there was a lot of hassle the day of that could have been avoided if Erin would have done her job appropriately and professionally. When I first booked the Frontier Culture Museum, I was in love! Beautiful venue, poor service
My husband and I booked this venue because of it's beautiful octagonal barn. Once booked though, our experience went downhill working with them. Their major selling point was their rock wall. Once we signed our contract, the venue paved the beautiful area where the rock wall is and make it into a parking lot without telling us. This was before I brought my husband to see the venue, and when he finally saw it we were shocked and so upset about not being told this areas would be paved over - the event coordinator was unapologetic.
We also rented a golf cart from the venue for $20 to use for taking pictures around the property. It was rented to us with them knowing that our ceremony started at 4, and the day of the wedding we were told that we had 20 minutes to use the cart once we finished the ceremony, and that we could not bring the cart to the barn. This made things difficult for getting our guests up the hill to the barn.
If I could do it again, I would not book this venue. Eve though it was beautiful, the service was poor and unprofessional. My husband and I booked this venue because of it's beautiful octagonal barn. I would pick a different venue, because the people here was very rude and unprofessional.the day before my wedding they was supposed to have it cleaned and the tables etc set up. Nothing was set up,we used the pavilion for our wedding because of the trees in the background.we had leaves all over the pavilion floor, when asked to have someone clean this up.the young woman goes ill be right back, when she comes back she hands me a gas leaf blower.she goes hope this helps.also when asked if we could use the barn instead the one woman in charge stated that they was going to be tearing up the barns drive way and reduing it on 11.11.17.I asked how could you do this if I'm renting the pavilion,I never got a response and they never did anything to the barn the day before or my wedding day they lied to us. On top of it they would have made more money if the switched from the pavilion to the barn. On even better note the night we was doing our rehearsal their security guard told us he was going to call the police if we didn't vacate the property but,my mom paid the 300.00 dollars to set up the venue.the "security guard" gave us a time limit and if we was past he was calling the cops.I think he came by every 5 minutes it was very creepy. So ladies that are brides to be I would not pick this as a venue I would look somewhere else.I would pick a different venue, because the people here was very rude and unprofessional.the day before my wedding they was supposed to have it cleaned and the tables etc set up.
