    Amazing service

    We can't thank Elaine and her team enough! Our wedding flowers were so beautiful. Our guests raved about them. Elaine was easy to get a hold of during our wedding planning and was very professional. Our floral arrangements were exactly what we wanted (and even exceeded our expectations!) 5 stars all the way! Thank you so much Elaine and team!! :)

    Elaine, you are truly amazing! The bouquet's, garland and table arrangements were just PERFECT! And I have to tell you that I don't think I have seen my father smile as much as he did with the dahlia's from his garden front and centre in his granddaughter's bouquet....thank you is not enough for the care and attention to detail that you put into my daughter's wedding...but that is the only word that I can come up with to adequately express our thankfulness for all that you did to make this a day to remember!

    Elaine was such a pleasure to work with. I know next to nothing about flowers or floral arrangements but Elaine understood my mixed words and made such beautiful bouquets and accessories! I couldn't be happier that my husband and I chose to have From the Potting Shed decorate our wedding.

    Can't wait to see what you have in store for your French Peasant Garden!!

    My daughter's wedding bouquet as well as all other floral needs were from the Potting Shed. The bouquet was the perfect accent for her gown along with the colour of ribbon chosen for it. She was able to meet our needs to have things be "natural" in feel and tone. It was great to meet with her prior to the wedding day and have a first hand experience of what things would look like. She and her staff were very attentive as well as knowledgeable. We received many comments on how beautiful and natural all the flowers were. Thanks again, Elaine.

    Elaine was absolutely amazing to work with. She was very personable and really spent her time to work with us to create our vision. She conducted herself in a very professional manner and communicated well with us throughout the process. Elaine is truly passionate about her work and that clearly showed through her presentation. Her flowers are of very high quality and are arranged beautify. She was able to work within our 'budget' without compromising on the quality of the finished product. We had an excellent time working with her and will continue to recommend everyone to her in the future!

    Elaine and her team at From the Potting Shed are beyond talented and great to work with. Her flowers made my wedding! From the drop-dead gorgeous bouquets, stunning centerpieces and the breathtaking garland at my head table, every detail was perfect. My guests were in awe of her work and some thought I had spent tens of thousands of dollars. Elaine totally understand my vision and made it come true. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone! Thank you for making my floral dreams come true!

    I have never done a wedding with Potting Shed personally but I have witnessed such amazing designs and incredible executions from this talented team Elaine has. I have worked with Elaine on floral designs for my home which are lasting and unforgettable. My dream floral designer! We love her energy!

    From the Potting Shed helped save our wedding! Our November 2017 wedding was almost upon us. All the major items were already booked and in place. Venue...check, DJ….Check…..Limo….Check! Flowers?.....flowers? We were in trouble. We had attended the wedding shows, looked online, met with some vendors, but just couldn’t find that right person to help us with the flowers for our big day. Enter Elaine and her wonderful business From the Potting Shed. While a bit more of a drive to Cambridge, Elaine welcomed us into her home like old friends to enjoy a flower party and a bottle of wine we brought with us for the occasion. From there we talked about colours, seasons, ribbons and blooms. When a ribbon colour we had in mind wasn’t in her amazingly stocked pantry of supplies we were reassured that no matter what the colour we wanted would be the colour we would have. When the day came, the bouquets were a perfect representation of what we had envisioned. Boutonnieres looked incredible and Church Flower stands in wonderful antique inspired urns completed our ceremony space. At our reception, flowers for our tables were perfect, and a few extras for our cake table and cake added the perfect accent, but nothing could prepare us for the incredible floral runner that was created for our head table. Elaine’s team went above and beyond our wildest expectations and though we had only ordered one runner, her team made sure that the rest of the table was equally spectacular. We would recommend From the Potting Shed to any Bride and Groom, and we look forward to seeing Elaine again at one of her Alumni nights.

    What a gifted floral designer!! She is the floral designer for Langdon Hall and has an amazing eye for beauty and colour. Elaine is a Master gardener and an artist. We were so impressed and grateful for the lush bouquets, and creative arrangrments. Her French country style is graceful and completely charming. From the Potting Shed was one of our indulgences that transformed my daughter's wedding venue into truly luxurious space to celebrate her special day. The generous and flexible staff provided the professionalism and service both before and on the day of the wedding. Incredible attention to detail and care was given to each bud and vine.

    We hired From the Potting Shed to do our flowers for the wedding. Elaine throws you a flower party before the wedding and you get to make your own bouquets (can bring 3 people)... drink wine & snack on appetizers. She also teaches you her signature french twist tying method. Elaine was great - our flowers were delivered to the venue & set-up on time & they were beautiful.

    Elaine did a wonderful job with the flower arrangements for my wedding this past February. I was very pleased with the final product and received rave reviews from wedding guests about how good all of the arrangements looked.

    It was a bit of a rocky road leading up to the wedding as it was sometimes hard to get in contact with her and/or receive a response.

    Overall, she's very talented and it shows through her work.

    Gorgeous bouquets

    The bouquets for myself and my two bridesmaids were absolutely gorgeous, as were the bouts for all the gentlemen. Even though my bouquet was absolutely stunning and I was happy with it, I was a teeny bit disappointed that it didn't have any snapdragons in it because I had made very few requests except asking for snapdragons if possible as they are my favourite flower and very special to me (and given a May wedding should have been in season).

    We also got flower crowns for four flower girls, and while they were beautiful, the burgundy flowers in them seemed a bit odd given the magenta and bright purple flowers in everything else. The burgundy did not match either their dresses nor the rest of the florals so it seemed strange, and I had told them the flower girl dresses were pastel purple.

    So overall I was happy but a couple minor things that weren't quite perfect. Solid 4 stars though.

    October Wedding Disaster

    We hired From the Potting Shed to be our florist for our wedding this past October. You have a preliminary flower party with Elaine and that part was amazing. She is so tasteful and works with you to make your vision come true. Fast forward to the day of... My dad went to pick up the bouquets, boutonniere's and corsages. When he arrived they couldn't tell the difference between my flowers and other wedding they had that day. He had to repeat the order and our names several times. They forgot my ring bearers boutonniere so we called Elaine day of and let her know... she advised we only ordered 9 so they sent 10. We searched everywhere and every bin.. no boutonniere's. They also forgot 2 corsages so my 90 year old grandma was without a corsage, same with my god mother. We were told there would be vases for the girls to put their flowers in at the reception - no vases. 3 of the 5 groomsmen boutonniere's were falling a part or fully garbage by the time the ceremony was done. All our bouquets were wilted and falling a part by end of ceremony and we didn't use them for more than a couple photos. All corsages were thrown out after the ceremony as they were fallen a part. We had such high hopes after such a wonderful experience at the flower party and how responsive everyone was to us. Extremely disappointed on the turn out the day of - would not recommend them. We saw no value in the end product for what we paid.

    I want to start off by saying the actual flowers and presentation were amazing. The delivery was on time and we have no complaints what so ever with the final product. Leading up to the wedding was a different story. The email correspondence was slow at best. After initially booking and paying in full we did not recieve our contract and confirmation for about a week and several emails asking for it. It was supposed to be sent to us within 24 hours of booking. Similar to other peoples experiences the lack of communication was stressful. They are slow to respond to emails and always seem to have an excuse. As part of the package we were promised a flower party 3 months before the wedding where you are and your wedding party and get together and pick out the flower arrangements and final details. I had to email them to schedule this event even though they told me they would contact us to schedule the event. We confirmed a date and sure enough on the day of the event they told us they didn't have us scheduled and were not prepared to accommodate a flower party. We had many people take time off work to schedule this event and it was all for nothing. I ended having to do the flower party with only my mother as no one could make the alternate date. They did compensate us with a few upgrades, however, a few upgrades are not worth the fun memories that we missed out on with our wedding party. Overall we are pleased with the results but at this time we can NOT recommend this company as the stress they caused before the wedding is not worth the end product.

    Pretty good experience- tough to get a response but when you do the service is great. Had tons of compliments on our centrepieces and bouquets!

    The flowers provided From The Potting Shed were beautiful and received so many compliments on my wedding day. The smell of their roses is absolutely non comparable to any other florist. I think there may have been some lack of communication which resulted in the look of my flowers, albeit beautiful not exactly what I had asked for. In the end though Elaine was good to us and tried her very best to give me everything I wanted. In terms of value her product is superior just in quality of the flowers alone so it may be a little more costly than your average florist but your final product is bountiful and full. I was not disappointed in the quantity of flowers in every arrangement. Through it all I am not sure I would have done it differently but I do wish a few things went more smoothly in terms of communication.

    The flowers we received from Elaine were beautiful however her customer service is a disaster. We paid in full a year before our wedding and when we needed to contact her several times to actual discuss specifics she would not reply. We almost asked for our money back a week before our wedding bc she wouldn't confirm any details. Our "flower party" was nothing more than me sitting next to her with an iPad reviewing bouquets even though she promised me wine and snacks as well. This isn't a big deal to not have food but would like some consistency with what she offers other clients. Book this florist if you want to deal with added stress but receive pretty bouquets.

    We live in the States and booked From the Potting Shed based on her pictures online. The owner, Elaine, was great at communicating at first, but once we paid her (a year before the event) she dropped off the face of the earth. She added A LOT of addition stress in the weeks leading up to our wedding and she was not replying to emails, missed our planned phone call appointment, and was giving difference excuses as to why her and her team were lacking communication. In the end, the flowers were gorgeous and turned out very well. But I expect much better communication from a business that I am paying for their service. Was not worth the additional stress.

    DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY.

    Any florist will match the level of beauty the Potting Shed can provide -- to me it was standard -- the customer service was absolutely terrible. If you are a bride who wants a professional florist, cares about her money and budget, and wants to trust their vendor, this is not the company for you. They still owe me an outstanding sum of money (over 110 dollars), that they "accidentally" charged to my credit card, and Elaine has been promising for weeks and weeks that a refund is coming. She is a lier, and this is only one of many issues I've had over the past year, not to mention the rudeness I've experienced and extreme difficulty getting ahold of anybody. There are plenty of better options, this business is poorly run, save your money and headache.

    Horrible experience

    I do not recommend. My fiancé and I had booked this company back in February (18 months from our wedding date) to provide our florals for our wedding this summer. Certain aspects of our wedding have changed and our needs are not as extravagant as they were at the beginning of our planning, so we told Elaine we still wanted her to provide our florals, but we weren’t going to need as much as planned. We also planned on paying monthly until the balance was completely paid off and we budgeted for that. After telling her about our new needs, she said it didn’t meet her minimum required spend of 2000$ but she would make an exception if we paid the entire bill in 3 lump sums 3 months straight starting that day (making it completely paid off 9 months prior to the wedding) which is 8 months before the due date as the contract states we have until 3 weeks before the wedding to pay the balance since the deposit was already paid. Otherwise she said she would not do it and voluntarily offered us our deposit back. We went looking for a note or fine print on the website that might have stated the minimum requirement of 2000$ and not only was there no note stating that but there were packages on the website that were priced lower then 2000$, 1 of them being under 1000$ which was under what our bill came to. After questioning her on the 2000$ minimum spend, and accepting her offer for a refund, she has not responded since and we have not seen our money as offered.

    STOP!!! Do not shop here

    If you are wanting beautiful flowers for your wedding I suggest you look else where. I am thoroughly disgusted in Elaine and the service she provided for my daughters wedding day OMG really, I don't care if you spent $3000.00 or $500.00 when you ask for specific stuff and are promised that then deliver it. My daughter never received anything she asked for or paid for, the flowers were all wrong causing the maid of honor and bridesmaids on the day of the wedding to fix all bouquets, then the garland let's not forget about that, nothing about that was correct either, the entire experience was sloppy and upset my self and my daughter a great deal. Your entire wedding day should be something special and memorable even magical, The bride and her girls should not have to fix those mistakes of others. ELAINE is a very dishonest individual who takes no pride in her work. My daughter has tried several times to contact Elaine and well with the utmost ignorance she has completely ignored my daughters calls, emails and even text messages. The respectful thing to do Elaine is to contact her and make things right. Face your mistakes OWN IT!!! I will be taking this to another level if things do not get resolved. Put yourself in the shoes of the brides you have wronged, how would feel if someone ruined your wedding flowers and upset you on the day you get married. Think long and hard as to what you have done and make it right......Hell I have read your reviews and your not a nice person to your employees either... My question now is how are you still in business?

    Scam alert

    Unfortunately I have been forced to cut ties with From the Potting Shed and its owner Elaine. Through a series of events, it came to the attention of myself and the other staff that Elaine is a deceptive business owner and manager.
    I caution you and your friends/family from conducting further business with this company; and Elaine specifically. The last thing I want is for anyone else I know to be affected by this scam. Weddings can be a stressful time and I thoroughly believe it’s best to work with only the best, most genuine people. As it stands, this no longer includes Elaine or From the Potting Shed.

    Do not book with the potting shed

    I booked my wedding with Elaine over a year ago on May 29, 2018 where I paid the full amount of $2300, as she insisted that my date of June 15 of 2019 was in high demand and had other couples interested. Very shortly thereafter, my fiancé and I called off our wedding. I called Elaine and let her know the situation, to which she seemed empathetic and was willing to refund me the full amount as the date was a full year away. I was told to email her and she would follow up. Over 6 months passed, I sent numerous emails, texts and phone calls with no response. Finally, in December I was able to get in touch with Elaine (had to call from a different phone number) where she agreed to send me a full refund if the date was filled. If not, her policy stated a 50% refund with 8 weeks notice of the planned date. She once again went MIA, until April where I was told she was meeting with various couples who were interested in the date and once again, she would follow up. Here we are now, June 9, one week from what was supposed to be my wedding day and I have FINALLY received a refund of $1150 after many messages begging to move forward. Not only did Elaine drag this on for a full year, had me bend over backwards for any response, neglect to follow up with me for months when the date could have and probably has been booked, she has taken $1150 for a service that was never executed. To say I am disappointed by this woman and the quality of customer service would be an understatement. Elaine is unprofessional and is a complete scam artist, this was a horrific experience and I would strongly advise one to think twice before booking with The Potting Shed or giving this woman any money.

    We were very disappointed in the customer service we received from the Potting Shed regarding our wedding. The flowers were expensive and not what we expected. We are still waiting for a partial refund for missing floral arrangements, and the event passed a month ago. If you're getting married in Cambridge (E.V.O Kitchen, the Cambridge Mill, or Langdon Hall) consider a different floral company. The biggest issues we faced were my extremely wilted bouquet, lack of floral arrangements, lack of requested flowers, lack of communication, and disregard of our special day. The customer service follow up was a nightmare.
