    Hiring Elissya was hands down one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. I live out of town so wasn't able to test a lot of make up artist options and the few I did try made me feel like I didn't look like myself. I booked Elissya based on the photos and description on her website about her approach in helping make sure you look gorgeous but not unnatural and did a test just a few days before my wedding and was thrilled. She was totally open to making a few tweaks to the test so we could know what would be perfect for the day-of so I got to be calm and relaxed on the big day.

    Elissya was more expensive than other options I'd tried but in the end the complete calm and confidence I got to feel because of knowing the amazing job she'd do was worth every penny. I have never felt more gorgeous (but also completely like myself!). I cannot recommend her highly enough.

    Elissya is the BEST out there. Truly. I was so relieved when I finally found a makeup artist who is not only incredibly talented but also responsive and dependable. She is so on top of everything and gives you full peace of mind knowing that you can count on her 100% on your wedding day.

    Elissya arrived bright and early the morning of my wedding with two hair stylists, Cary and Justina. They made everyone look like the absolute best versions of themselves - simply glowing and beautiful. We had 9 women to beautify (6 bridesmaids, 2 moms and me, all with completely different coloring and hair types) and the Fresh Face team handled it with ease. We stayed right on schedule and actually finished with time to spare. This is so essential because if the hair and makeup runs late, everything for the rest of the wedding day runs late!! The Fresh Face team was such a calming presence and so much fun to be around. Thanks to them, my wedding morning was completely stress free as we sipped on mimosas, laughed, and were transformed into goddesses!!

    I am extremely picky about my makeup (I did about 4 trials before booking Elissya) and have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day. Elissya and Cary made me look the best I possibly could, and always listened carefully to any suggestions I had. As a true professional makeup artist, Elissya not only makes you look drop dead gorgeous in person but also knows exactly how the makeup will look in professional photos, which is HUGE! We received our pictures back from our wedding photographer recently and I was blown away by how flawless my face and makeup looked. Everything stayed perfectly from the early morning until 1:00 am (including taking photos in the wind in downtown SF). I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you Elissya and team!!!

    Elissya and Erin are fantastic! They did hair and makeup for me, my maid of honor and my mother for my wedding. I booked them after having a terrible experience with a different beauty team. Elissya returned my contact request immediately after I sent it, we scheduled a trial ASAP and I booked them immediately after the trial. I love the way my hair and makeup turned out and loved it even more after looking through pictures. Elissya knew exactly how much makeup to apply to look perfect in pictures and it lasted all night. I changed my mind about what I wanted to do with my hair basically the day of the wedding and Erin had no problem with adapting to exactly what I wanted. Plus, they were both just so much fun to get ready with and got along with everyone. They didn't leave until everyone was completely happy with their hair and makeup. And now I go to Erin for haircuts and highlights!

    Communication was a little lacking but services more than made up for it

    Makeup and hair by Sye was incredible. The prices were affordable and the services were outstanding. She was professional, on time, an talented. I am truly grateful.

    I found Fresh Face Makeup on yelp, and although the prices listed online for wedding services was more than I had budgeted for, the reviews were outstanding, and the pictures were really nice. I spoke with Elissya, who was incredibly friendly on the phone and very flexible. We were able to agree on a group price for 12 services on the wedding day (hair+makeup for myself, 3 bridesmaids, and 2 moms), my trial, and my engagement session. During the months preceding my wedding, Elissya continued to check in on me after each make-up/hair session that I had to ensure I was completely satisfied.

    Marcela was highly recommended by Elissya, so she did my hair and makeup. After some feedback during the trial about the foundation not matching my skin, my makeup was perfect on my wedding day. My hair was also more beautiful than it looked during my trial. Victoria also did a very great job on the hair and makeup for the rest of my bridal party.

    My few disappointments were that my hair didn't hold quite as well as I had hoped for, and I had a ton of flyaways. These were issues I had pointed out during the trial and was reassured that they would be fixed. Luckily, you could not see the flyaways in the pictures, and my sister was able to re-pin and spray my hair down with a stronger hold hair spray after our photo session. This completely did the trick. We also ran a bit out short on time, so it was a bit of a rush to get me to my First Look photos. My bridesmaids left to get their children ready, and Marcela and Victoria departed before I realized that my veil had not been placed. Lucky for me, my photographer was able to assist.

    Overall, I was very happy with everyone's hair and makeup, but these issues were why I did not give Fresh Face a 5 star. Just make sure you have enough time to do touchups and ensure that your hair is in place and will hold. Have extra hair spray in case.
