Blanca is wonderful

Blanca's Fresca Designs was one of a few referrals that I received when I purchased my dress from Fairytale Brides in Rockville. After looking at reviews, I decided to give it a try- and am so, so happy that I did. Fairfax was not the closest of locations for me, but the drives were so worth it! Blanca is skilled, kind, caring, and I would recommend her to any bride looking for a fair and positive experience with alterations. Blanca keeps busy with helping family and neighbors in addition to having many clients who want her great seamstress work, so I'd recommend reaching out sooner than later to make sure there's plenty of time for follow-up fitting appointments.

Amazing experience with flowers and dress!

Blanca was one of the best vendors we had, she is what made our wedding day perfect! Not only does she have extremely affordable tailoring prices, but she is a jack-of-all trades! She also provided BEAUTIFUL flower arrangements for our centerpieces, bridesmaid and bridal bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres, and even flowers to decorate our cake. It was SUCH a wonderful experience to work with her - she is so talent, kind, and flexible - she even met me at my home and kept offering to meet until the dress was tailored exactly how I wanted. She was able to add a complicated bustle; everything turned out so beautiful. She is so easy to work with and truly became a friend! We invited her to our wedding and she saved the day when my maid of honor could not pin up the bustle in time - thank you Blanca!!

Amazing experience

I cannot say enough great things about Blanca. She is the kindest woman with the most reasonable prices I’ve ever seen. She also came to my house for all of my fittings which was incredibly convenient. My dress fit like a glove and I couldn’t have been happier! Do not hesitate to hire her!

Best Atelier Ever!

Blanca was truly heaven sent! She transformed my wedding dress to fit me PERFECTLY! She truly listened to what I wanted and made me feel super comfortable at every fitting! She was affordable and understanding. Blanca has true talent with such a warm heart. I highly recommend her! Check out the before and after pictures!

Alterations Specialist

Blanca was an absolute DREAM. I had chosen a strapless dress, but had dreams of having off the shoulder, wispy, ethereal sleeves added. After my first consultation with Blanca, I was immediately confident she could pull off my vision. She was helpful and communicative through the entire process. She was also super accommodating to my hectic pre wedding schedule. I cannot recommend her enough. I will be a life long client!

Blanca did an amazing job!

Blanca did an amazing job on my wedding dress. She was very attentive to detail and wanted to make sure she got the dress exactly the way I wanted. Her prices were very affordable and I was very happy with the final results. Blanca also helped me with creating centerpieces and bouquets for my wedding and they turned out beautifully. Took an dress I bought online and made it a beautiful gown.

Blanca did an amazing job with my dress. She put in a corset. added boning and cups to the chest area and waist, sewed on bling under the bust, made semi off the shoulder cap sleeves out of matching material she searched for ( I would have loved to have sleeves more off the shoulder then they were my only complaint), helped me choose the best bustle I believe it was French style that made my rear look like a magical waterfall, and last but not least hemmed my dress moving all the applica’s up by hand but still kept the dress looking amazing. She has worked tirelessly on another two dresses for me and you can see her passion shine through her work and her kind disposition with her clients.

Fantastic alterations!

Blanca did a fantastic job on my wedding dress that I brought her. It was about 6 sizes too big and needed some serious work. She patiently altered the dress and graciously allowed me to come back numerous times to make sure it was the perfect fit. Blanca also added sleeves to the dress and made sure that they looked natural.
She also made a veil to wear with the dress- it matched perfectly and looked great. Her prices are very reasonable and she is such a hard worker and prides herself on quality craftsmanship. I would definitely recommend her and will definitely be back. I can't say thank you enough!

Blanca helped transform my beautiful dress into a custom work of art! We had several fittings over a good few months - but it was the perfect way to make sure it fit like a glove and allow me to make changes and adjust design! She added a gorgeous custom bustle unlike anything I've ever seen, and was really accommodating when I, at the last minute, decided to have her design and put on new straps. I love my dress! Plus, the shop I bought my dress at quoted me at $800 for basic hem and bringing it in a bit (not including the new strap design.) I paid LESS THAN HALF of that for Blanca's service, and it was top notch. Thank you Blanca!

Ms. Blanca Shek was amazing! I bought my dress secondhand and after I got it, I realized it really wasn't the dress I envisioned getting married in. I wanted to return it, but it was passed their return policy date. I had pretty much accepted that I was going to be married in a dress that I didn't even like, but when I went to get it fitted I asked Ms. Shek if maybe she could not only fit it, but truly alter it. I let her know what I was thinking of, and over the course of the next few weeks, she completely transformed the dress. She completely took apart the top of the dress, and meticulously pieced together bits of beautiful lace she had saved from other dresses. I cried from shock, relief, and gratitude when I saw the final dress. Thanks to her, I felt so comfortable and beautiful on my wedding day. She also made me a beautiful veil. I received so many compliments, and I'm so grateful to her for being so kind and accommodating. She is a wonderful person who really just cares about what she does, and is so talented and skilled at what she does. You can not go wrong with Blanca Shek!

Blanca is absolutely wonderful! She took my dress and made it into my dream dress. It was beautiful for the wedding and she was even able to add a sash to the dress that I had picked out from Amazon. She will always be the first person I recommend to touch up your dress and make it perfect for your big day! She's super sweet and accommodating and it was wonderful talking to her. Blanca is the wedding whisperer. I enjoyed every visit with her. She has a warm spirit and provided me with positive affirmations. She knows how to help brides feel their best. Blanca sent my wedding dress for cleaning and it came back spotless. I loved my wedding gown but wanted to personalize it. She gave me several ideas. She created a sweetheart top and added glitter to the bottom. Blanca is efficient, responsive, and a good communicator. I highly recommend Blanca's seamstress services.

Blanca is just the best! i got a designer gown at a discount that I was in love with the front but not the back. She totally redid the overly revealing back! It's exactly what I wanted and she's an absolute delight to be around. I could literally just go and hang out with her. And doing it through Anthony's bridal it's the best deal around.

Blanca did an AMAZING job altering my wedding gown! She worked with the delicate fabric of my dress and showed beautiful craftsmanship and attention to detail. I was incredibly grateful when my wedding coordinator put me in touch with Blanca. It's hard to surrender your wedding dress for major alterations, but Blanca put me entirely at ease and was confident in her approach. She took the time to explain to me exactly what she would do and why she would do it. My dress was entirely lace, and she painstakingly removed and reapplied the applique in order to take in my entire gown, which was fitted throughout. Then she did a second appointment to determine the length of the hem after she had taken the dress in, feeling she could be more precise if the first round of work was already done. Overall Blanca did BEAUTIFUL work, she was a pleasure to deal with, and she was incredibly affordable! Thank you Blanca!

My husband and I were married on May 20, 2017. When I first found and purchased my dress from St. Anthony's Bridal at The Wedding Expo at George Mason University's EagleBank Arena, I met Blanca and she is the sweetest lady you will ever meet. She took the time to talk with me aside from many other women who were waiting to speak with her. From the day I bought my dress, through many trips before my wedding to do fittings and alterations, Blanca by far exceeds any seamstress I have ever worked with. Her rates are extremely reasonable and she is willing to work with you and accommodate you on scheduling times for alterations and/or additions to the dress and veil. She was always responsive either by text or phone calls if she had any questions or suggestions. In all honesty, Blanca is more like family than anything else. I hope to keep in touch with her now that the craziness of our wedding is done :) You will not find such a special lady to make your wedding dress unique and breathtaking beyond words. Her skills as a seamstress sine through every intricate detail that she puts into each dress. With years of experience, you will not find a better and unique lady! Blanca did a complete redo of the wedding dress I had purchased at a sample sale. I had a very unusual request - I redesigned the dress to include a train made from the tartan fabric I imported from Scotland to match the kilt my groom wore. We also added bell sleeves and a square neckline to a previously sleeveless dress. She also removed the zipper and put in a lacing panel in the back. Finally, she hemmed the dress and fitted it out to have a french bustle. The dress came out fabulous! I had to do a number of fittings and she was kind, gracious, and efficient during the whole process. She's a gem and I feel blessed to have found her to help me make my dream dress into a reality.

Blanca embodies all of the characteristics needed to make for a spectacular event. She is professional, personable, responsive, flexible and offers great suggestions. Typically those qualities come with a high price. But Blanca's pricing was much lower than the others I interviewed. Not only did she handle my wedding dress alterations, but she also did all of the flowers, centerpieces and bouquets too. As if that wasn't enough, our wedding cake arrived with no lace ruffles around the 3 tiers unexpectedly. At the 11th hour, Blanca made ruffles for all 3 tiers and saved the day. She is a miracle worker and I would recommend her without hesitation!

Blanca is the absolute best! Aside from being a sweet, wonderful person, she is also a sublime florist & seamtress. I initially encountered her at St. Anthony's Bridal while dress shopping and she was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. During the first dress fitting, I was fortunate enough to have picked a dress that fit almost perfectly but Blanca took her time to ensure that all parts were functional. She also took the time to show my coordinator & I how to appropriately tie the corset and fix the bustle. Regarding the flowers, she knows her stuff. Our wedding colors were copper and cream so Blanca came up with flower options that were beautiful. When we hit an availability snag two weeks out from the wedding, she managed to help us pick a new flower and knocked it all out of the park! We still have people telling us how beautiful the flowers & centerpieces were. It was an absolute pleasure working with her. She's super affordable too :)

My mother and I met Blanca at St. Anthony's Bridal. Since I got my dress there, she gave it a cleaning for free; she also did alterations for me, Mom and my maid of honor from her home studio. I thought she was great to work with and did a very nice job on the dress. She also gave us some tips on how to bustle the dress different ways, and stuff like that.

Blanca did an amazing job with my dress. The draping on my skirt was a little complicated, but she made the most amazing bustle that really complimented the design of the dress. She even used some of the left over fabric to make cap sleeves. The quality was impeccable and for a great price. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for alterations.

Bonus tip: I left wedding flowers to the last minute and was panicking. Blanca offered to do the bouquets and boutonnieres. She was extremely flexible and said she could make it work no matter the budget. In the end my flowers were beautiful and exactly what I had in mind.

Blanca exceeded every expectation for my wedding dress alternations! I switched dresses halfway through, and she was incredibly flexible and accommodating with each fitting. My dress fit perfectly on my wedding day. I also ended up having her do my flowers, and she put together arrangements exactly the way I had in mind (without me even seeing the bouquets beforehand). I received so many compliments on the flowers, and she also delivered them at no extra charge. I would recommend her over and over again to future brides. Blanca is the BEST!!

Blanca was amazing to work with. She's kind, fun, and talented. I had three fittings, and she altered my dress from a size 4 to size 0, removing some of the uncomfortable boning, and made a beautiful bustle. I live in DC, but it was totally worth it to drive out to her!

I originally booked Blanca to alter my wedding dress, but found out she does floral arrangements too, so she actually did both for me. I couldn't have been happier with her - she is very accommodating, fun to be around, and good at what she does. The flowers she did for us came out better than I imagined and I'd definitely use her again if I could.

Blanca is nothing short of phenomenal when it comes to making your gown look like it was made just for you. She is incredibly friendly and talented and her attention to detail allows you to completely relax and trust everything will get done the way you want it. I had a very challenging dress to work with (lots of lace and layers), and Blanca did a wonderful job getting my dress done on a tight timeline. She also did alterations on my rehearsal dress and my bridesmaids' dresses. Her prices are very reasonable and her love for working on wedding gowns comes through with every stitch.

Blanca has an amazing price for the amount of work she did on my wedding dress. She removed layers of poof, shortened the satin underlay so that my tulle train looked more spring-like, pulled in the hips to accentuate my shape, added a complex bustle, fixed a few tears, and I'm not even sure what else! She is also the one that insisted I go to St. Anthony's Bridal to look at their used dresses. I found the one I loved for $150 (!!!) and then she worked her magic to make it love me back. If that wasn't enough, she also created a veil to match that was just what I wanted. I highly recommend her service.

Blanca was able to alter a strapless dress that I fell in love with (but was at least 2 sizes to large) into a perfectly fitted dress. There was a ton of delicate bead work that had to be worked around. She also shaped the line of the gown so that it would be more flattering. Blanca did a fabulous job on my dress. She is such a good and caring person and seamstress. She took of the halter top and made my dress strapless, she also lengthened it for me and added a corset. It fit like a glove and everyone loved it! I felt absolutely beautiful in it. She also made me a custom jacket, which fit perfectly. She is so reasonably priced too . Blanca did a wonderful job with my dress. I had a bustle added, which looked perfect. Blanca took extra time to do the bustle in layers so that it wouldn't be too poofy and it would look like part of my dress. It looked beautiful in pictures. She also took my dress in in some places, let it out in others, and added darts. I felt like my fittings were never rushed. She completed the first round of alternations one week after I dropped it off and then I had to get it taken in a little bit more and it was ready the next week. Blanca seems to be a perfectionist in the best way. There were things about the way my dress laid on me that made it wrinkle in some places when I walked. It's not something that I would've even noticed but she did and she fixed it and it's something that I probably would've noticed in pictures later. She was extremely affordable. For someone who was one a strict budget like me, it was important that my alterations not cost a few hundred dollars like other people that I know. I feel like I paid less for my alternations than anyone else I know. I've been recommended Blanca to everyone.

She is extremely easy to work with, listened to all my dress requests, worked so hard at making me look perfect, and went above and beyond what she had to do. A WEEK before my wedding, I realized having a strapless dress was not comfortable and she added the most perfect straps. I had purchased this beautiful dress for our 50th Wedding Anniversary party, knowing it would have some major alterations. The dress was long and I wanted a tea length dress. The dress was a beautiful lace with a scalloped edge, which can be complicated to change. Also the dress had a fitted waist and fitted in the hips, and was about an inch too tight, with what seemed to be no extra fabric in the side seams. Blanca was not the least bit daunted by the prospect of fitting this dress. She gave me confidence it would fit perfectly and when she was finished it was as if it had been customed designed for me. I enjoyed wearing it to our very special party which included many family and friends!
Blanca Shek was fun to work with and very professional. She was also reasonably priced, which I appreciated.

Where do I even start. I was a (very) indecisive bride. After purchasing (and hating) two wedding dresses, I decided that I would take a dusty blue, A-line, Vera Wang gown, and have it re-done into... a mermaid-cut, blue and white wedding dress.

When I described my vision to Blanca she raised an eyebrow, gave me an amused look, and then dove right in. She went with me to the fabric store to find the perfect lace to overlay on the blue. When we couldn't find anything affordable, she scoured Etsy until she found a nice, affordable fabric, mailed me a swatch to vet, and then ordered it. I must have come in a half dozen times for various fittings, but when I saw the final product, a few days before my wedding, I was in love. It was the perfect, casual, unusual dress, and I felt at home in it.

And then after all, Blanca charged me an outrageously low amount - something like $250 including all of the fabric. You know you've made out well when you are convincing your vendor to accept more money, because they have clearly undercharged you.

Blanca clearly loves what she does, and loves making others feel happy and beautiful. Thank you, Blanca!!!

I have nothing but compliments for Blanca. She provided 3 services regarding my wedding day attire:

1. She added tulle cap sleeves to my strapless dress. She took great pains to find the right material that matched my dress, both in color and material. She understood exactly what I wanted, and perfectly executed an elegant and flattering look for my upper body.

2. She added the bustle hooks to my train. I had several layers of gorgeous but delicate lace to work with. I would have been content to show off the lace train during my ceremony and just hook it up during the reception, but Blanca informed me that there were several styles of bustling that would allow me to show it off even during the reception. I chose one that had 4 different hooks, all of which she masterfully camouflaged into the detail of the lace. The pictures from behind me showed me just how much expertise she has. And I didn't trip once, even with all my wild dancing.

3. She made my veil room scratch. Most veils that I found commercially available were hundreds of dollars. The ones I liked were outrageous. But Blanca bought a comb, the tulle, and a lace border to closely match the lace on my dress. Again, she took pains to find the right shade and the veil was lovely. Comfortable too (I barely felt it and it stayed put in my hair very easily).

She was easy to work with and knew the ins and outs of both alterations and the fabric industry (like where to get the cheapest materials that didn't cut corners on quality- don't be surprised if she takes you to a tiny Chinese fabric shop that's crammed with all kinds of material; she really knows what she's doing). Trust her with any work you need done.

I am so happy I found Blanca. Her studio is right out of her house and she is very flexible and a very hard worker. I was a little unsure about her work since I couldn't find anything on yelp or her website. I understand now that most of her clients leave feedback on weddingwire. She was so flexible to accommodate the time me and my maid of honor could be together to go to the alteration appointment, even at 8pm on a Saturday night. Had this been a studio, I wouldn’t have been able to make such an appointment. She was very knowledgeable and attentive to my needs. Also very down to earth. I would recommend her to anyone. It’s a shame I only had one dress I needed to alter (my one and only wedding dress). I loved the dress when I initially saw it and loved it even more at the end of all the alterations. It was perfect. She sewed in the belt I had purchased for the dress, altered the length of the dress, and made the neckline into a sweetheart. She even asked me what I was going to do with the dress after the wedding. I told her I thought I might sell it. So she makes it so the length of the dress can be altered longer for the next bride! Blanca worked magic on my gown for me. I purchased a dress that was a couple sizes too big, but she worked wonders to alter the gown, shorten the train, remove some of the endless layers, remove some of the poof from the sleeves, and make it look gorgeous. The dress was made of lots of lace and pearls and sequins, so she had to work hard to shorten the train and add the lace hem back on. With the leftover lace from the train Blanca was able to make a veil for me with the same lace from my hem to line the veil. It looked very elegant! Blanca prefers to do only a couple alterations at once so that each time you come back in for a fitting she can make sure that it is to your liking. She tries very hard to impress her clients and is dedicated to making the gown look like your dream. Blanca also sent the dress to New York to be cleaned, and the finished product after being cleaned and altered was truly amazing, even Blanca was surprised! We appreciate all the hours she put into making my gown perfect.

I loved working with Blanca to tailor my wedding dress! I would never recommend anyone else! She did a flawless job for a fraction of the price of any other tailor I could find. I liked my BHLDN dress when I brought it in, but it wasn't quite as stunning as the pictures on the dress website. By the time Blanca was done with my dress, it was stunning- even better than I could have hoped.
She worked with me as I had to cancel and reschedule several appointments. She accommodated me last minute when I realized I wanted to come in on a Sunday with a friend because timing was running short. She gave me advice on undergarments and helped me come up with a plan in case my weight fluctuated. She was amazing.
My friend who came in to give me her opinion had gone to a fancy DC tailor (and paid 5x as much) two years before. My friend was so impressed with Blanca's abilities and said she wished she'd known about her. Blanca doesn't have a fancy studio, but it doesn't mean you won't get top notch results.

I found Blanca through reviews of Katherine’s Bridal where I bought my dress. Several people mentioned Blanca’s name as the person they took their dress to instead of using the bridal salon’s alteration services. After reading some of Blanca’s reviews I was confident in making the decision to bring my dress to her for alterations. I received my dress only 2.5 months before the wedding date and was worried that wouldn't be enough time. Blanca assured me that was plenty of time. My initial visit with Blanca was excellent and I was assured I made the correct decision to have her alter my dress. I had 3 fittings with Blanca before my dress was perfect! And perfect it was! Blanca is a miracle worker! I fell in love with a mermaid style dress that I bought from St. Anthony's Bridal that was too tight, and had too much fabric at the bottom for my taste. I took it to Blanca with my fingers crossed that she could somehow make it work. She was absolutely amazing! She was able to make the dress bigger, then tailor fit it to my body. I was worried about wearing a strapless dress, but Blanca made the dress fit perfectly...tight enough that it would stay put, but still be comfortable. She made me removable sleeves, just in case, but I didn't need them! She also took out the extra fabric at the bottom of the dress to make it the style I wanted and added a lovely sash. And she created the most beautiful bustle that she had never done before, just based off of a picture I had. It was gorgeous!

Blanca is incredibly skilled, easy to work with, patient, and her prices are very reasonable. I'm pretty sure she can do anything you ask her to! Her work allowed me to keep the dress I fell in love with! Thank you Blanca!!!

Blanca with Fresca Designs did a fantastic job altering my wedding dress at a very affordable cost. She offers a flat rate and is much more affordable than going though alterations at any bridal shop. My dress which had a lot of bead and lace work was originally had a straight line on the strapless dress. She was able to make it a sweetheart neckline and it was absolutely beautiful. In addition to that, she also took the bodice in and since I'm on the short side she also hemmed the dress. I am very satisfied with her services!

Blanca is the BEST!!! I highly recommend her to any bride! The quality of her work is fabulous, she is the nicest person ever, and the prices that she charged made me want to pay her more. Hands down would go to her over any bridal boutique's seamstress. She is great to work with, very accommodating and makes you feel very comfortable. She even dropped my gown off at my local wedding venue for a small charge. This was extremely helpful so I didn't have to worry about my dress being ruined or transporting it. Blanca is amazing and you won't be disappointed!

When I purchased my wedding gown, I knew it would probably be just a touch too big when it arrived; enough to make alterations, but not too much. Well, it arrived and was actually about 2 sizes too big! I was quite worried about a seamtress being able to make it fit, but Blanca worked her magic! Blance allowed me to have three separate fittings to make sure it was perfect! Blanca worked to ensure that not only did it become the right size, but that it fit me in all the right places, basically taking it from a-line to a mermaid style. She even sewed on the separate belt to make sure it would look like a part of the dress. And on top of the quality of the work is the price! The place I purchased my dress would have charged me $500 flat for anything I want done; Blanca was more than 50% off of that and provided me with a much more personal experience! I would highly recommend Blanca to anyone looking for any alterations at all, and especially a wedding gown! She will work tirelessly until it is perfect for your body to make you look your best on your wedding day!

Blanca did a great job. She altered my dress, as well as created an AMAZING veil for me. I wanted a unique veil with shamrocks on the trim. Blanca was very creative and created a beautiful veil. I was very pleased with her service. She also took a great deal of time to make sure my dress was altered perfectly. Best of all - her prices are very reasonable.

Blanca did a beautiful job altering my wedding dress for me, and sewed cups into it because it was a backless dress. She also altered my mom & my maid of honor's dress so they looked great. Blanca created from scratch my niece's flower girl dress, based on a picture that we found on Etsy, and it was stunning. She also made a crown out of silk flowers for my flower girl. Blanca can do real or fake flowers, but we opted for the silk ones because we thought that my flower girl might beat up real flowers too much (she's only two years old).

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding this past July. I had recently had a baby and was worried about how the dress would fit me. In some areas, it fit just fine but in others it was too big. I called Blanca and she was able to meet with me that same day! She took in the larger areas and made the dress look cohesive and tailor-made! Since then, I've taken numerous dresses to Blanca to be altered and all have turned out wonderful. She is kind, reliable and very talented.

From the mail-order factory, my dress was made for someone 6" shorter than I am -- Blanca re-built the entire dress and it ended up looking fabulous, like it was supposed to when I ordered it! She did a great job, on my schedule, for a very reasonable price! I recommend her!

Blanca works from her home not far from Tyson's Corner. I got her name from St. Anthony Bridal where I purchased my wedding dress. She has a quick turn around and reparired the broken bustle on my dress. At the last moment she made me a bridal shrug. I googled and showed her a photo and she whipped one right up for me. I will use her for any other talloring I need or any other sewing. She is kind helpful, and professional. She made my wedding day great!

Blanca is a talented and personable tailor. I already had a favorite suit for my wedding, but it did not fit exactly right. Blanca fixed it to my size perfectly -- it looks a custom suit in the wedding pictures. Additionally, her advice on color choices was extremely helpful. She is friendly, professional, and her prices are extremely fair. Highly recommended!!!!

Blanca owns & runs Fresca Designs. She did my wedding flowers, made my veil, and did alterations on my wedding gown & rehearsal dinner dresses. The flowers were stunning. Everything was done beautifully and she knew what details to mention and tweak even when I didn't. She also altered several of the groomsmens' suits, fitting them carefully the way each one asked. One asked her to make it more of a European, slim fit and he was very pleased with the way she tailored it to him. Her prices are unbelievably competitive, but don't be suspicious. You will not get cheap service. Blanca is simply the best.

Blanca did a wonderful job on my wedding gown, putting in the bustle and fixing a few minor flaws (I bought my gown used). She was so nice and her prices are extremely reasonable. I was very happy. Blanca made a beautiful dress for my daughters's high school graduation. She made a long, white dress with lace belt and straps. The first dress my daughter bought from a store no longer fitted her so we were in a bit of a panic but Blanca made the dress for us in only a few weeks. Blanca did an AMAZING job on my dress. She is incredibly skilled at what she does. I was blown away by the time and care she put into my dress. Blanca suggested a different style of bustle that was more work for her but worked beautifully for my dress. I hope I need alterations in the future for something else because I would DEFINITELY go back!!

Blanca did my alterations to my wedding gown. Over several months I lost a lot of weight but each pound, Blanca was right there to make sure the dress was perfect. On my wedding day, it fit and looked gorgeous! Blanca made my bustle so unique that she had to draw a diagram for my bridesmaids! It was easy to do and they figured it out in no time.

Her prices blow anyone out of the water. I called multiple places before I found Blanca and their prices were at least 300 or more for my wedding dress. Blanca was flexible with time and very welcoming in her house. Her studio radiates creativity and it is evident she is passionate about what she does. Blanca also does flowers and other services through her business, Fresca Designs!

If only I could give more than five stars. All the glowing reviews are true: Blanca is amazing. She is not only the best person I've ever been to for alterations, but also my all-time best friend of a friend referral ever. I went to her after being referred by my friend Sharon and could not have been more pleased.

She did alterations on a number of my suits, blouses and pants and has an amazing eye. She has many years of experience working with all kinds of garments, and it shows! She knew exactly which "edits" to make to my clothes to make them incredibly flattering.

I also thought her prices were very reasonable for alterations in general, but especially for the quality of the work that she did. I have been to various people for alterations over the years and it's very easy to find someone who will quote much higher prices for work that turns out to be mediocre at best. With Blanca, I would feel comfortable handing over my most prized gown and knowing it would look impeccable when she finished.

On top of everything, Blanca as a person is incredibly nice. She is very flexible about working with a client's particular needs, really listens and is able to offer just the right suggestions. She is very friendly and upbeat and just generally the kind of person who brightens your day.

We are so lucky to have someone so talented here in this area.

I lost weight, yeh! Now my suits and other clothes no longer fit. Blanca altered suits, skirts, and pants to fit my new shape, for less than the cost of a new outfit, within the time frame that I required. And they fit better than before. I am planning to do slipcovers and will definetly use Blanca's services.

Not only are you getting the best quality at an affordable price, but you are working with someone who truly knows what is best for you and takes YOU into consideration. You really get what you pay for and more. I have gotten all my bridesmaids dress alterations and my wedding dress done by Blanca. All my dresses fitted PERFECTLY. I personally thought my wedding dress would be very difficult to work with having so many layers and ruffles, but her work is just unbelievable. She added a bustle and shortened the front of my dress slightly so that I could show off my shoes. Her recommendations were on point and I loved my new "custom" dress.

Blanca is amazing!! Not only did she do my white (Christian dress) she also altered all my Indian outfits for my Hindu Ceremony and other events for my wedding. Blanca is kind and so easy to work with! She always made everything 100% perfect and the quality of service cannot be beat! Blanca has also done other alterations for me from bridesmaid dresses to work attire and everything comes out beautiful, and for the price you can’t beat it! I highly recommend her she is fantastic!
