We can't say enough!

We can't say enough about Freed photo! Bryan and Tatiana were fabulous! My husband and I met with Bryan a few weeks before the wedding and loved him! He was honest, to the point and funny. We knew he would be perfect and we were right!

On our wedding day, Bryan was with me and Tatiana was with my husband while we were getting ready. My girls and I loved Bryan's calm demeanor and the way he made me feel at ease and not rushed. He was appropriately "bossy" with our family during the family photos. Everyone loved him and Tatiana! They had such an artistic eye and I felt our photos looked beautiful and not cookie cutter.

We got the digital copies of our photos while we were on our honeymoon not even 2 weeks after the wedding and loved all of them! Freed is the best in the biz and I would highly recommend using them!

Jenifer Moris, Freed Photography was wonderful

Just celebrated my wedding 10.21.18 at Woodend Sanctuary & Mansion. Jenifer Morris from Freed Photography was everything I could have asked for and more. She has an incredibly calm and caring disposition. Laid back but very organized and you can tell, she has a great love for her art. She has an artistic eye and comes with a vision for what she wants to capture. She brought a sense of love and peace to our special day. I would recommend Freed Photography and Jenifer to anyone!

Freed Photography did a splendid job photographing our 10/22/16 wedding. All of their administrative staff was courteous and responsive. Tatiana was the suggested photographer for the day and she did a SUPERB job capturing the day. Her style is crisp and clean. She handled our wedding with poise and professionalism. I told her our venue had very high ceilings and so she accounted for that with off camera lighting. The turn around for edits was also insanely fast. I would highly recommend Freed Photography!!

Jennifer and her assistant were amazing. One took overall pictures, the other detail shots. They showed up early and were photographing the entire day including getting ready in the bridal suite, first look, family photos, and reception. They were everywhere but not at all in the way. I cannot wait to see the final shots.

Our photographer, Jennifer was warm, friendly, and professional. She ensured that she understood our family dynamics and included everyone to ensure all people at our wedding felt special. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Bryan Blanken from Freed Photography and could not be any happier he was amazing! My husband and I had our wedding at the Ritz Carlton in VA and it was extremely important to us to have a photographer that would be able to capture the details and cultural aspects of the Persian/Greek wedding that we were having. We honestly cannot put into words how happy we are with the pictures. They are stunning and I'm not sure what else I can say about him other than WOW!! Bryan is a true professional, has a true passion for what he does, a great eye for detail, amazing at taking the lead in setting up poses, and is extremely talented. Bryan has blown us away and we will forever be grateful to him for the amazing moments that he captured on our special day. Freed photography is an amazing company and although we were contracted to work with another photographer they were extremely professional and amazing in working things out for us. Bryan Blanken was amazing! My wife and I had our wedding at the The Hay-Adams in Washington DC. We wanted a photographer that would be able to capture the look and feel of the venue and the wedding we were having. We had interviewed several photographers, looked at their work, but once we met with Bryan, the choice was made. Bryan did our engagement photos along with the wedding photos. The engagement photos were amazing and the wedding photos were even better! Bryan really has an amazing eye for things. I'm not sure what else I can say about him other than WOW! You can't get anyone better than Bryan. Bryan is a true professional, has a true passion for what he does, and is extremely talented. He's a must if you want to capture your engagement and wedding in amazing detail then there is no other choice. Side note: If you decide to hire Bryan and he says "I want to try something" go with it. Trust me. You will not be disappointed.

I highly recommend Freed! We had Jenifer and Tasha and they were amazing and photos were gorgeous. Jenifer spoke with me several times before the wedding and was so patient and helpful in going through details and answering my many questions with thought and care. She and Tasha kept things moving but were also calming and warm on the big day. And most importantly, even though our wedding week was during the baltimore riots and the curfew, they showed up for us without question and even took a pic of us with the national guard. The pictures are so beautiful and captured the day perfectly. And they came back very quickly! Highly highly recommend!

Pablo was our photographer and he and his assistant (Sergey) took incredible photos! They captured everything and I've had several people tell me that we have the best wedding photos that they've ever seen! I couldn't be happier with our wedding photos (it was very tough to choose a couple for framing because there were so many amazing shots)! Pablo was also very funny/personable and kept everyone laughing through the group pictures!

Freed Photography is amazing and if you are looking for a wedding photographer, look no further . We got 1900 photos from our wedding and each one was beautiful ! John and Freed Photography was amazing to work with from start to finish! Photography is the most important way ensure you have the best memories of your special day that will last forever, so it is important to use a photographer that you know you can't go wrong with. Freed worked with us to ensure we had a photographer with a style that we liked. We met John at our engagement photo session and after getting those amazing pictures, we knew he was going to capture our wedding exactly how we wanted. He was completely non-intrustive during the wedding day, yet he got pictures that we had no idea he had captured. He has an artistic eye to figure out beautiful shots. He was so professional, showing up an hour earlier than his contract and when the wedding was slightly behind schedule, he stayed late to ensure he got the shots that were important to us.

Freed is OUTSTANDING!! They handled our photography with such professionalism and pleasantness and sent us the best photographer on the planet - Pablo! Pablo has a unique gift of composition coupled with an engaging manner. He was able to coax smiles out of the most difficult subjects very efficiently. He provided us with some absolutely stunning photos! I never knew I could look so good - and he didnt even airbrush anything! His compositions are to die for, he has an uncanny knack for making the picture say a whole beautiful story. We were delighted and amazed with his pictures. Highly, highly, highly recommend him!

The front-office people at Freed showed us the work of their various photographers, and we were able to select our photographer that way. On the day of our 7:00 p.m. wedding, the two photographers showed up at 4:00 P.M. and stayed until midnight. They are real pros, not only remembering the names of all the key players, but pleasant and efficient at the same time. I lost count of the number of people who came up to me to comment on the fantastic photographers we had.

We used Jayrol as our wedding photographer. He was great! His calm, friendly, patient and professional demeanor were greatly appreciated. He and his co-worker were so unobtrusive during the reception and cocktail hour and they took excellent photos. We were pleased with both the formal and informal photographs. My husband and I had Jayrol of Freed photography for both our engagement shoot and wedding. He was absolutely phenomenal. First, as my husband and I were incredibly busy (me with full time graduate school, him with school and full time working, and both of us with wedding planning), we were not very available to meet with Jayrol regarding specifics on photos. Jayrol was INCREDIBLY flexible and accommodating, respecting our schedules yet still making sure we spoke to ensure a beautiful outcome. And it truly was. The quality and quantity of the pictures were incredible! We've been getting so many compliments on all the pictures from both "events." As the wedding day progressed, Jayrol grabbed us to make sure we took awesome pictures around the venue that he had previously scouted out. We are so happy with Freed photography (and Jayrol). It is one of the decisions of the wedding that we absolutely wouldn't change.

I am so glad that I chose to work with Freed Photography for my wedding. Wanting a good balance of formal traditional photos and fun stylistic photos, I chose Jayrol as my lead photographer. He was such a joy to work with. He made me feel very comfortable at our initial meeting, and he made my fiancee (who doesn't like having his picture taken!) feel very comfortable during our engagement photo session, no easy task. I didn't realize how much time the bride and groom spend with the photographer, and therefore how important this good relationship is on the wedding day. On the big day, Jayrol and fellow photographer Danny were a hit amongst my bridal party and guests. They did a great job shooting the getting ready in the hotel suite shots, the church ceremony, and the ballroom reception. Jayrol was both detail-oriented and very efficient when moving through my list of formal family and bridal party shots after the church ceremony, also no easy task. He did an excellent job, too, of being sure that I got special request shots at the reception that I had told him were important to me. I can't wait to get my photos back, and I know they will be priceless. I highly recommend Freed Photography, and if you are looking for an energetic and talented lead photographer, I highly recommend Jayrol!

My husband and I agree that Pablo Sartor with Freed Photography was our favorite vendor. He was an amazing photographer. He made us, our wedding party and families feel comfortable and was enjoyable to work with. You spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day so you want a good relationship with them. Pablo made that easy.
We had some specific photo requests and he made sure to fulfill them. In addition to the standard portrait photos, he shoots creative, photojournalistic style pictures. I can't wait to get our photos back!

Freed Photography was fantastic to work with. When we met with them they took time to understand the kind of photographer we were looking for, and worked with us to ensure we were given exactly what we wanted. We had John Shinkle as our photographer, who we loved. He was professional, communicative, friendly, and gave us beautiful photos. He met with us before the wedding to better understand the kinds of photos we really liked or didn't like, and catered to our needs throughout the wedding. Can't say enough great things about Freed. We had Pablo and Jayrol shoot our wedding, and they were FABULOUS. I seriously am in love with Pablo. He was funny (but kept things moving), and he instructed people exactly how to poise so no time was wasted. I barely noticed he was there after we did portraits - he is such a natural! Freed Photography did an exceptional job on my wedding photos. First, Pablo took amazing engagement photos of me and my fiancee. Our experience with Freed Photography was excellent. Jennifer was our lead photographer and besides being talented she is incredibly organized and calm. She really kept everything moving smoothly on the big day. Sergei was the assistant photographer and he was also fantastic. His shots really captured the personality of our guests and the event. Nick was the photographer for our wedding and we could not have been happier with him. He was so much fun to have at our wedding and our pictures turned out great! We had Nick from Freed Photography for my daughter's wedding. I have never seen a photographer so unobtrusive, but capturing every moment somehow. There was never a time when the photographer got in anyone's way, but he made sure to be there for every moment. Although I haven't seen the pictures yet, based on the professionalism I saw, and the amount of care and consideration taken during the photos, I know they must be wonderful! I would highly recommend Freed Photography for any event.

I have many friends who used Freed for various celebrations. I was so enchanted by my friends' amazing pictures, that I was sold on using Freed before I even met my husband.

My husband's family was pleased that we chose Freed, because Freed also did a wonderful job at their daughter's (my new SIL's) wedding.

Neal and Carla made a great team. They were very easy to work with and open to ideas - however, they have many years of experience and usually took my ideas and made suggestions to make the photos even better.

I feel that they caught every aspect of the wedding. The big parts of the event, the small details I never saw until I looked at the pictures. They caught the essence of the event in the photographs. There were no overly-cheesey pictures. The Freeds had a intuitive sense of what would be important to us and our families. They captured beautiful intimate moments, such as my mom touching up my makeup or my (now) husband running to the parking lot to greet my brother's family. Another one of my favorite pictures is my mother and her best friend standing on a balcony wiping tears while my husband and I danced the final dance of the night.

I find that looking at the photos from my wedding evokes the emotions we were feeling at the time.

They caught so many wonderful pictures --- I am still trying to narrow down my favorites.

Yes, Freed is not one of the bargain basement photography groups - they know their worth and charge fairly. After seeing their work, I am convinced that you get what you pay for and I am so happy to have beautiful, creative pictures hanging in our home as well as the homes of our family members.

We used Brian, who was very highly recommended. He was above and beyond what I expected. He really helped direct us and got all the shots we wanted, which was tough considering we had 270 people! He was so laid back, but take charge, funny but serious when he needed to be. We got our pictures pretty quickly and they are beautiful. I highly recommend Freed!

Selecting a photographer was one of the most important steps to me in planning the wedding. I LOVE photos, and after all, when the day is over, they're what you have left to remember. At Freed, you meet with a consultant who shows you video portfolios of various photographers from whom you can choose. I immediately fell in love with Nick's work and selected him as my photographer. I also opted to add a second shooter.

I selected eight hours of coverage and requested to break-up Nick's and the second shooter's time - having Nick arrive earlier and leave earlier and the second shooter arrive later and leave later. My fiance and I did not see each other before I walked down the aisle, and I wanted to get all of our individual photos taken beforehand. In order to allow enough time for pre-wedding photos and also have a photographer on-hand for our exit at the end of the night, I determined that I needed to stagger the coverage.

When I met with Nick, he said no one had ever made that request before. He explained some "risks" (i.e. that a less experienced photographer would be primarily responsible for some of the shots), but I was comfortable with the setup and he went with it. In the end, our second shooter's photos were great and this arrangement worked out perfectly for us.

Nick was fantastic. He's engaging and generally just fun to be around, which is nice since you're spending quite a bit of time with the person photographing you! He obviously enjoys what he does and works to get the best shot every time. Our photos were phenomenal, and I'm so glad I selected him as our photographer.

Another HUGE plus about Freed is that they turn the photos around in less than three weeks!

Bryan with Freed is one of a kind. He is fun, professional and extremely talented. Our engagement photos were so perfect we did not think he could possibly get better. However, he did! The wedding pictures are stunning and photos we will treasure for the rest of our lives. Bryan also had the assistance of Gabrielle on the day of our wedding and they were a fantastic team. Gabrielle was a blast and took a lot of great photos of our friends and family. They both have the ability to make the most camera shy people feel comfortable. Our guests were constantly "striking a pose" for Bryan and Gabrielle. We consider ourselves very lucky to have worked with such an amazing team. Bryan was not just there for us on the day of the wedding but helpful during the entire process. Freed is a wonderful and professional company with so many talented photographers! Thank you for creating photos we can enjoy the rest of our lives!!

Shawn and I are currently living in Boston, but have friends and family in the DC area. We opted to have our wedding in DC so that more people would be able to attend. We hired a wedding planner, Ayran Kanter, to help with all the details. The ceremony took place in the evening at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Chevy Chase. The black tie reception followed at the Crystal Room in the Willard InterContinental. Ayran highly recommended Bryan Blanken of Freed Photography. Since we were traveling from out of town, our schedules were pretty fixed in terms of availability for meetings. Bryan was more than willing to accommodate us. Shawn and I had ideas for shots, particularly outdoor shots with the monuments. Bryan was always open to our ideas, and didn't hesitate to provide honest input. We trusted his expertise (I wanted a shot outside when my husband and I first saw each other. However, Bryan let me know immediately that the lighting would be an issue and we opted for a different location). I couldn't be more pleased with the pictures. I know every bride has images of what her wedding will look like, and my best advice to you is to trust Bryan, his artistic eye and his years of experience. You will not be disappointed.

We had the pleasure of having Jenifer and Jayrol from Freed Photography as our photographers for our January 2012 wedding. Jenifer and Jayrol provided us with so many stunning images from our engagement session and from our wedding. During our initial consultation with Freed we were immediately impressed with their professionalism and responsiveness, they made special arrangements so we could meet with Neal Freed during the weekend when their studio was closed. We met with Neal who explained each of their packages in great detail and the costs. Neal even offered us a discount because our wedding was during the “off-peak” season. Neal then showed us a series of slideshows from different photographers to select from and our favorite was Jenifer’s.

We first met Jenifer for our engagement session and we immediately had a connection. She is so easy going it was easy to feel comfortable around her, which I’m sure comes through in the images. As our wedding day approached, Jenifer helped us come up with our photo schedule for the wedding day. Jenifer was even nice enough to meet us at our wedding venue (Park Hyatt Washington) to preview possible photo locations. On the wedding day Jenifer and Jayrol were great. They arrived in the suite and the cameras immediately started going. This is a wonderful team; they were both very fun and easy going while maintaining an air of professionalism. Jenifer and Jayrol were able to capture every aspect of our wedding so beautifully, they even stayed a little longer to get a few more shots and they captured so many of those “little” moments where you don’t know your picture is being taken. Those are the images we love the most. Now we have close to 1,400 images capturing our wedding!

We were so lucky to have photographers that we were so comfortable with. We only have the nicest things to say about Jenifer and Jayrol and the Freed team. Our guests even loved our photographers! Freed Photography is a great group. We would not hesitate recommending Jenifer and Jayrol from Freed to capture your wedding. Thanks again Jenifer and Jayrol!!

I've known Bryan Blanken with Freed Photography for over ten years. While in the industry, Bryan was the photographer for the first wedding I was an event manager for. I knew then I met terrific talent. Over the years, Bryan and I remained in touch through industry events as well as "meeting on the set" for other friends weddings and family portraits. Once engaged, when it came time to select our photographer, without a doubt, Bryan and Freed were our number one choice. Bryan fortunately already knew my now husband Jay and understood our preferences and style without really having to ask. The day of our wedding, (Nov 4, 2011 at Kent Manor Inn), Bryan was an extension of our party and made it all easy. Our wedding was small and intimate and Bryan fit in nicely with our guests which made capturing memories on film easier! Our family and friends have commented about how nice our photographer was and how connected he seemed with Jay and I. We've since received our pictures and are very happy. As we went through the hundreds and hundreds of pictures, we relived the entire day... There are so many pictures where I can remember exactly what was happening and what was said at that moment- Bryan captured it all. We couldn't have asked for a better person to be with us the day of our wedding. We will absolutley continue to recommend Bryan and and Freed.

I will try to make this short and sweet…..Bryan Blanken is AMAZEBALLS!

Our first meeting with Bryan, my husband (now) and I knew he was our man – we practically signed our contract and locked him up when we heard he was available. He is an extremely talented photographer and pretty much amazing all around. It was such an honor to have him capture our wedding day and I cannot say enough about the quality and value of his work.

He is professional, attentive, organized, and easy going, which made taking all the photos a fun part of our day. The best advice Bryan gave me during our engagement shoot was to be myself and stop worrying about the “perfect pose” or everyone around me – because he would capture everything. He was totally right. You all can rest assure that Bryan will do a fantastic job of capturing the special and memorable moments that you probably wouldn’t have thought about.

We received a sneak peek of our wedding pictures a week after our wedding (love the quick turnaround) and I can’t explain the amount of wonderful compliments we have received – not only from our family and friends, but recent or future brides who happen to stumble upon our pictures on facebook.

I am so grateful for Bryan and cannot thank him enough for his ability to capture all the emotions my husband and I felt during our special day. I know I will cherish all the pictures forever. Boys and girls….he is worth every penny!!!!!!!! I recommend him to everyone. I know for a fact he is extremely popular and gets booked fast, so I would definitely lock him ASAP!

Selecting a photographer AND videographer can be a painful and expensive part of the wedding planning process. The team from Freed Photography and Videography makes this as easy as they can -- their work portfolios speak volumes for them. We had Bryan Blanken and his team shoot our wedding and they left me in tears (of joy) over all of the memorable moments they were able to capture. Our video which was shot by Jamie is nothing less than excellent -- it truly is like watching a professional movie only to find that my husband and I are the stars of it. There are no words to describe the amazing talent of this company other than: THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY!!

Freed was one of the more expensive photography companies we looked at, but after a disappointment in the photography department at my sister's wedding, we were pretty convinced that it was worth the $$. And it TOTALLY was! Not only do our pictures look incredible, but our photographer, Bill, was very easy to get in touch with, and really fun to work with on the wedding day. We got a free engagement session, and that was great to get to know Bill, and to figure out what it's like to smile and get your picture taken for an hour straight! You'll be spending alot of time with your photographer on the wedding day, so having someone fun who you get along with is really important! Also, it's awesome to have a photographer who can get great pictures FAST, so you can actually get back to the party, and Bill totally did that. I heard from all of my friends not to expect my pictures for months after the wedding, but 6 weeks after the wedding we had a disc with 1200 high res images, and a few days after that we were started on the album. We also got a photo booth from Freed which our guests loved. They brought a box of props which was hilarious (and our flower girls ran around all night in their boas!) I can't say enough good things about Freed, if you have it in the budget, you won't be sorry you spent the money on them!

We just got our wedding pictures back this past weekend and they are FANTASTIC!! The photographer (Nick) was great! He answered all our questions, took the time to try and do all the annoying poses/shots I asked for, and the pictures turned out great! My only disappointment is that after seeing these pictures that we didn't have time to take even more! They took shots of things we didn't know happened which made the whole day that much more memorable/enjoyable.

Beautiful and Professional Photos:
After looking through some portfolio’s online, my fiancé and I went to Freed Photography for an initial consultation. Everyone was extremely kind and professional. We picked our photographer, Pablo, and got the opportunity to see a complete slideshow of his work.
We then did an engagement shoot, where we had the opportunity to personally meet and work with Pablo, before the big day. This was amazing, as it allowed us to meet him, for him to get to know us, for us to get comfortable with the camera and to discuss what our preferences were regarding the photos we wanted, the style, etc.
On the day of the wedding, he arrived before the agreed time (and as a bride… this is definitely something you value a lot at that particular moment). He brought all of his equipment as well as an assistant. We did some "getting ready photos", some formal photos, photos during the ceremony, cocktail, and reception. Overall, the photos were amazing. Some were traditional, others extremely artistic. The final product was truly terrific!! I would highly recommend Freed to anyone looking for a professional studio. All of their photographers are great, and their staff is very organized, responsive and hands on.
Thanks again for all the great moments captured on our special day!

Freed Photography is the best in photography in the DC Metro area. I enjoyed my entire experience with Freed. From scheduling my wedding day and going into the studio to look at portfolios to meeting with our photographer Jenifer to shoot our engagement pictures. Jenifer was spectacular and she has a real eye for the images that she captures. My husband and I were really happy with our engagement pictures and knew that we would be in good hands on our wedding day. Our wedding day was on August 6, 2011 and looking at our proofs we have so many wonderful pictures to choose from for our album and to have in our home. For our wedding we also rented the photo booth. The Freed employee that handled the photo booth was also excellent. Our guest really loved her and told us that she really made the photo booth something everyone wanted to take part in. She even convinced my grandpa who never takes pictures to let loose and have fun. From the outstanding service that Freed provided I know that I will be using Freed Photography for future life events. I am truly pleased with the product that Freed produced. I would recommend Freed to any bride and groom planning their big day.

John with Freed photography was wonderful to work with. We haven't gotten the pictures back yet, but are looking forward to seeing them. John came prepared to take pictures outside on the National Mall despite hurricane Isabelle. He braved the wet and the wind to help us get the pictures that we dreamed of. Freed is wonderful to work with; everything seemed to click from the time my father and I walked into their office. We were able to view the work of several photographers and picked one that had a style that matched the theme of our wedding. Jason was great, he worked hard and has a great artistic eye. There were some artistic shots I wanted that he made work even though they were not easy. Did I mention I got married on the hottest Saturday of the year in July!!!! Thank you Freed and Jason!

Freed Photography are true professionals. They have a number of different photographers, each with his or her own aesthetic. It is important to visit Freed's studio in person or search their website thoroughly to choose the photographer you want with the style that matches yours. They have photographers who are very "glamour" oriented-- lots of gorgeous, bright colored photos, fishbowl shots, shadows, etc. They also have photographers who do more subtle photojournalism-- more emotional shots, less flashy lighting, but still very beautiful and clear and elegant. And they have other photographers that also have their own style. Everyone is excellent and trained and highly professional. We decided to go with Pablo for our wedding photographer. Pablo was not only a brilliant photo artist, he made our wedding day 100 times less stressful by being the "chief organizer" for the first few hours. Making sure everyone was in place, with boutonnieres on, smiling, standing up straight, hands out of the pockets, girls with their legs crossed the right way. He was a real leader of the day, and I never expected him to be such a great asset to our wedding. I will always be grateful to him for helping to make our day great.
At Freed, it is important to know that certain photographers come in certain price categories. Pablo and a few other of their premium photographers are more expensive than others. While we adored Pablo's style, I believe Freed's other photographers are excellent as well.
Additional photographers and albums can be had at extra cost. What I loved about Freed was that the prices were all very understandable- there were no hidden fees or costs, no "extras" that were surprises. We knew exactly what cost what. It was a relief, as most wedding vendors charge additional fees for everything and are not forthcoming about it.
Finally, for their masterful work, Freed was one of the most reasonable wedding photographers we interviewed to be part of our wedding. I believe they were in the middle to upper-middle of the price bracket and I believe their quality is exquisite. Their professionalism, honesty, and kindness throughout our planning process was also impressive. I recommend them 100%.

We used Freed for our wedding on 6/18/11. Freed and in particular Bill was great!!!! He actually help make things go off without a hitch!!!! First when our limo was running late to the ceremony he called his assistant to bring out our bouquets so we had them. Then when our second limo broke down they joined us in the cramped limo and not one compliant about kneeling on the floor or being shoved in a small part of the front of the limo. Then throughout the knight I heard awesome things about how great they were at getting the photos we requested.

Really, I am not sure I would have made it through the day without them......thank you guys you were the best and went along with all of our antics without question!!!!! You were the best!

When we walked into their office in Bethesda, I was instantly impressed by the level of service Freed provided. We were brought into a cozy room, offered a drink, and then the "show" began. On the flat screen T.V. mounted on the wall, we watched several of the photographers' portfolios matched with background music. Very impressive. I was not expecting that! :-)

As soon as I met Bill, our photographer, I was immediately put at ease knowing that he was a professional who I could rely on to record the memories of our special day well. One thing that I really treasure is that I have my loved ones' mannerisms and patterns of movement captured. He listened to what I wanted and made it happen. And for that, I am forever grateful. Bill and his team were really chill and relaxed the entire time. I received so many compliments about how the photographers were everywhere taking photos whenever something notable occurred. "How many photographers were there?!?!" was a comment I heard from more than one person. On the day of the wedding, Bill had a third photographer come along for free! We had only thought we were getting two.

We were told that our pictures would take 4 to 5 weeks to process and Freed was true to their word. I also liked that we were able to buy the rights to our pictures outright without ordering any prints.

Brides- trust me and put your mind at ease on the best day of your life. Especially if you want candid pictures like I did- Bill from Freed Photography is the right man for you!

We couldn't be happier with our experience with everyone we encountered at Freed.

Our meetings with Bryan and James (our photographer) were great - we felt really confident that we were in very good hands from the very beginning.

James and his assistant Jayrol were incredible to work with - we had planned an outdoor wedding & pictures that were ultimately rained out, and we had a lot of moments during our pre-ceremony pictures where there would be a break in the rain and we'd get ready to shoot some pictures outside, just to get to the door and have it start to pour again. James and Jayrol were super resourceful and patient, and got creative to make the most of having to stay inside our venue for our family & wedding party pictures.

After the wedding, lots of guests commented to us about how nice and fun they both were.

Freed went the extra mile for us after our event, as well. Mother's Day and my father's birthday fell 3 weeks after our wedding - before our proofs were ready - and the team was able to pull and edit some pictures of our family ahead of time so we'd be able to use them as gifts.

Finally and most importantly - we got our photos back and they're incredible - better than I could have ever hoped for. They captured so many moments that we would have missed or forgotten, and the images are beautiful - we'll treasure them forever!

Our photographer was fantastic! He braved a hailstorm followed by a rainstorm less than an hour before our outdoor ceremony to be there early for set up; luckily the skies cleared just in time. He was extremely courteous and took some great photos.

The photographer was the one vendor we were most interested in and price was not an issue. For us, the only thing we'd have after the wedding are photographs. (We did not get a videographer) We looked for a photographer who did more candid, stylized and non-traditional photos. Friends of ours used Freed and spoke very highly of them. The original photographer we arranged to use from Freed ended up not suiting us so our wonderful consultant, Camie, worked to get Bryan.

My fiance and I met with Bryan and he was fantastic; he made us laugh so hard and he got a sense of us at a couple immediately. As I was more nervous than one could believe, Bryan made me feel at ease and continued to joke around with me. Even with the snow in the air--in March...first day of the cherry blossom festival--Bryan didn't push us to do outdoor photos. It was up to us. We went for it. We are so glad we did.

On our wedding day, he made us feel so comfortable as a couple and in front of the camera. We can't wait to see the proofs.

We decided to go with Freed and its been the best decision from the beginning. Everyone was so nice and helpful at our first meeting. Our photographer, James, was professional and took great pictures. We did our engagement session with James and he did an amazing job. Words really can't describe the day of the wedding. From the moment James showed up to take pictures of the girls getting ready, he was definitely on top of his game. There was no fumbling around, James was ready to go. This went on for 8 hours straight. He even went as far as to climb a vehicle at the parking lot of our reception in order to get a better angle for a picture. That's dedication! Although we haven't received our pictures (because we just got married), I have no doubt that they will be wonderful. We definitely plan to use Freed and James in the future.

At first my fiancee thought my budget for the photographer was high. When he saw the proofs from Freed he understood and agreed they were worth every penny. Jenifer was incredible and showed up with 2 assistants. We have 3 perspectives of every moment - 1100 proofs from which to choose and nearly every one an amazing photo. Freed lives up to the hype in every way. Considering the photos are the one tangible you get to keep (in addition to one another) I cannot imagine hiring anyone else.

We used Nick from Freed Photography for our January wedding in DC. The whole company is extremely professional and has done this so many times, you won't have to worry about anything. Our photographer met with us about 6 weeks before the wedding and went over key people, important photos, timelines, etc. The day of he arrived right on time and immediately set to work on shots of us getting ready, the dress, shoes, etc. He did not need any direction and had already scouted the location for good spots for the portrait shots. During the posed photos, he was good about looking out for the details - tilt your head this way, cover this weird design on the rug with your dress so it doesn't show, etc - and giving our families direction (they're not that great about organizing themselves). Several of our attendents remarked how nice and professional he was. During the reception, I hardly noticed him at all, but the pics we just got are great. It was really important to me that we have good photographs of our wedding. (I'd known too many other people who decided this was where they'd save money, and they were ultimately not happy with the results.) I researched several studios and we talked with photographers from two of them, and Freed was definitely the best value for money we found. I highly recommend them!

We loved our wedding pictures and still look at them often! Working with all the photographers on our wedding day was a great experience. They were able to capture every detail of our "winter wonderland" and tell a beautiful story through their images. Carla was extremely helpful in putting together our album. It was extremely easy, comfortable and stress-free working with Freed. They really knew what they were doing. Our particular photographer, Russell, was great. I loved the instructions/directions he gave to everyone on what to do while posing for the planned family shots. He had the attention to detail that is very necessary for wedding photos!

Freed saved my album. I used a different photographer from a different state where I previously resided in and came out with the worse album, a brides worst fear. I went to Freed thinking the worst, but I have never been so happy. Carla was amazing to work with. We had to limit the amount of pictures as many were no focused enough to use, but we came out with the album of my dreams. My husband and I are planning on during our yearly pictures there as well. Everyone at Freed are so professional, understanding, and incredible customer service. I truly cant speak enough of how thankful and what great work they can do. I wouldnt recommend anyone other than Freed.

I have used Freed twice and have been very happy both times! Recently we had Nick as our photographer for our wedding. He was so nice to work with. He was flexible and really listened to what we were after. Our photos are AMAZING! Nick is really talented! The studio is also great to work with. They are very helpful when it comes to designing the album. I also used Freed for video - again they produced a beautiful memory of our day! Thanks Freed :)

Everyone at Freed was absolutely fantastic to work with! Freed is by far the best wedding photographer!! From our engagement pictures, meetings before the wedding, wedding pictures, prints, and album creation. The photos captured the perfect moments which we will cherish forever. Everyone was extremely professional and truly made our day perfect from beginning to end. The first time I saw the pictures, tears were certainly flowing!

The album truly reflects the perfect story of our wedding and I would highly recommend to all future brides. Freed truly delivers, produces, creates, reflects absolutely beautiful and ever last images that will last a life. In addition to the album and prints, Freed also created individual collages for close family members (parents of the bride & groom) - the gifts were priceless! The design was truly exceptional!

I could not have been happier with Freed! Jenifer Moss Moriss was our photographer and we loved working with her from the start. The office staff was also great to work with and very responsive. They are not the cheapest team in town, but you get what you pay for. I would definitely suggest getting the assistant photographer. It helps speed things along so you can focus on having fun, not waiting for lighting and lense changes.

I would recommend Freed Photography to anyone looking for a wedding photographer in the DC area. My husband and I spoke with several photographers before choosing Freed and selected them because we liked the work we previewed, plus, their prices were very competitive with other photographers in the area. Nick was AMAZING. We had a great time with him during the wedding and he was everywhere and really managed our crowd to get the shots we needed.

Freed was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process as well as on our wedding day. The photographer showed up as scheduled and was very subtle throughout the day. They did not get in the way while we were getting ready, but somehow managed to capture amazing candid photos. The entire day went very smoothly with their attention to the small details that really make a picture stand out. Our photos were incredible. While the cost may be a bit higher than other vendors, the quality is unmatched. I would not recommend anyone else.

Bryan was awesome! He really worked with us to find a photographer that fit our budget and our styles. He hand-selected Nick for us based upon his photojournalist style, and excellent personality! Nick did an amazing job for us! His pictures are gorgeous (there are so many amazing ones we had a hard time narrowing them down for our book)! He was a ton of fun and our friends and family loved him, he fit in perfectly with the guests at our wedding!
We can't wait for the opportunity to use Nick and Freed again in the future!

Eli was amazing to work with - from our engagement shoot, all the way through the last minute of our wedding celebration. He was extremely professional and made everyone feel at ease. John Shinkle from Freed and his team for the day (James and Pablo) were absolutely amazing -- they were accomodating, they put us all at ease, and they took somme amazing shots of our bridal party at the Capitol. John met with us a number of times before the wedding and we loved our engagement pics. I would have no hesitations what-so-ever in fully recommending Freed Photography to anyone looking for a photographer for their wedding or ANY other special event. My photographer, Jennifer M. was AMAZING! She showed up EARLY (with an assistant) and took a ton of pictures of everyone who was with us at our wedding. Good thing too since my mom's camera battery died!!

She was able to truly capture the wonderful memories that were created that evening. She was also able to take pictures with every shade of sunlight possible, she even followed our antique firetruck and incorporated it brilliantly into our photos while we went for a short spin to celebrate! Both Jennifer and her assistant were extremely flexible and were able to capture pictures I could never dream of getting myself.

I would HIGHLY reccomend Freed and more specifically Jennifer M. as a photographer for your event...I am already booking Freed for our upcoming baby pictures :-)

Bill did such an amazing job on our wedding!! We just loved his work and he was so fast too. He was nice enough to send us a whole bunch of pictures the day after the wedding so we could see how they came out (great!) and we got everything back less than two weeks after the wedding. None of my recently married friends got their pictures back so fast. The pictures are really just perfect and are exactly what we wanted. Bill was also so nice, unobtrusive, and really wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend him!!

From the moment my fiance and I contacted them for a consultation appointment, Freed Photography was fabulous! We went into their office where the owner himself sat down with us and took the time to chat and ask us questions before even showing us any pictures. He was very encouraging, didn't pressure us at all, and was very frank about service, cost, and what we would be getting exactly. All of the photographers are excellent, but we fell in love with Eli Turner's work-- looking through his portfolio (both on a slideshow and in a table book), his pictures were snapshots in time. You could just about hear the music, the laughter, everything!

Before our wedding we had an engagement session with Eli, which was brilliant because not only did it allow him to familiarize himself with our quirks, but both reassured and relaxed us in his presence! Neither my fiance nor I are particularly photogenic (one of the reasons we splurged on the photographer), and we were absolutely shocked at the pictures Eli managed to capture of us! All of our friends and family raved about how great the pictures were, and we were certainly impressed as well!

On the wedding day itself Eli and his assistant, Katy (the package we went with gave us Eli and assistant for 8 hours), were relaxed, professional, and helped keep everyone laughing and natural. Throughout the evening Eli would come up to Patrick and I and show off a few of his particular favorites. We haven't seen the entire collection yet, but I am confident that Eli captured our special day perfectly!

I would HIGHLY recommend both Eli and Freed Photography in general. They are expensive, but rightfully so.

Freed photography is exceptional! They were referred to us and they were the one and only photographer we looked at for our wedding. They have an excellent reputation and they live up to that. Bryan was great to work with prior to the wedding, helping us pick out a great photographer, album, order of events, timelines. Additionally he referred other vendors to us as well. Jason was our photographer and he was outstanding. He is extremely professional, and very importantly he is calm throughout the day. Your photographer is pretty much with you all day and Jason was always there for us. He kept me, the bride, very calm throughout the day, and he got all the posted pictures for us ahead of time, took my husband and i for additional pictures after the ceremony when he felt we didn't have quiet enough and he really goes with the flow. There was nothing for us to worry about or stress about. It has only been 2 weeks since our wedding so we have not actually recieved our pictures yet however from what Bryan and Jason have told us (Jason also showed us some shots that day that were beautiful) they are great. WOWFreed is amazing. Granted, this is the only photographer I have ever really work with but they were great.

The staff at the office is fantastic, the person handling our account left the company a couple months before the wedding and one of the senior managers personally called to reassure us that everything was still going to run smoothly.

The photographer we used was Nicholas Griner. We met him at the engagement session and he made us feel at ease right away. Very funny guy and yet very professional. At the wedding and reception he was able to grab some amazing candid shots without feeling like he was in the way at all. Our photos are fantastic, Nick is the best working with Freed is a simple and smooth process. I cant say enough great things about them.

The photos are the things you will have forever, its worth it to use the best and the best is Nick Griner at Freed.

We used Bryan Blanken he is one of their principal photographers, we were lucky enough to have two assistants also. They were on time, professional and really fun! They caught all of the moments we had hoped for along with many we never would have imagined capturing. Our album is beautiful and we still get a TON of compliments on our wedding (even 3 years later!) They were certainly one of the more expensive photography compaines we met with, however, their style, approach, and knowledge sold us and boy are we glad!

Freed Photography did a superb job for my daughter's wedding. Jenifer Morris and her assistant James were terrific. They were easy to work with and discrete. They had wonderful suggestions for shots, and somehow managed simultaneously to stay in the background and also capture all of the significant moments of the day. It was a pleasure to work with them both. The photos are truly stunning and we are delighted. I am appreciative of the talent and expertise -- and equipment -- used to produce the excellent pictures. Using Freed's approach of giving us access to the digital pictures was perfect for us and allowed us to use them in combination with some candid shots taken by guests. All together it was a very satisfying experience.
