Frederick’s Pastries did our cake and dessert bar at our wedding! The desserts tasted and looked beautiful. Sue was so helpful at our tasting helping us to create our vision. It was such a special memory to cut into our wedding cake! Frederick’s will always hold a very special place in our hearts.

Amazing Cake! Super Accomodating
I grew up in the Southern NH area and we always went to Fredericks for our birthday and celebratory cakes. When it came to getting married, there was nowhere else I planned to use. Susie with Frederick’s pastries was awesome to work with. My husband and I live in VT, So we did most of our communicating via email aside from the cake tasting. I am Gluten-free and Susie was able to accommodate a Gluten-less top tier of the cake and the remaining of the cake was a gluten-based cake. We sent her our cake designs via email and it was a spitting-image of what was sent! Our wedding day was very humid (almost 100 degrees in the middle of July) and the cake stood tall, and was in perfect condition despite the heat and humidity!! It was delicious!

My family had been purchasing cakes and other tasty treats from Frederick's Pastries for my whole life, so we were confident they would be an excellent choice for our wedding cake! And as always, they did not disappoint! From our first tasting, which was a truly fun and tasty experience, through our wedding reception, Frederick's was incredibly professional, responsive, and easy to work with. They listened to all of our questions and requests, and helped us make the right decisions so that our cake turned out exactly the way we dreamed it! The day of our wedding, they brought it right to our venue for our florist to add the finishing touches, and we didn't have to worry one bit about delivery and set-up. And it was so tasty - we loved it and got many complements from our guests. They also worked with us to make a special anniversary cake to surprise my parents, whose 30th wedding anniversary fell one month after our special day. Our cake(s) were such a beautiful and delicious part of our amazing day - thank you Frederick's Pastries!

Frederick’s is kind and accommodating
The Mile Away has a partnership with Frederick’s, so our cake was included in the price of our wedding, which was wonderful. We were planning from out of state, so we were unsure if we’d get to do a tasting, but Sue at Frederick’s was very responsive via email and extremely accommodating in helping us find a time to do an in-person tasting when we were briefly in town. I’m glad we did, because we changed our pick from chocolate and buttercream to vanilla with lemon and raspberry. The cake came out beautifully and Sue was responsive as I sent photos of what I wanted and considered changing my mind. It was a great experience and we’re eager to go back and try their other desserts. Highly recommend.

We loved our cake so much! It was exactly what we wanted! The cake tasting was presented so wonderfully and made it easy to make our choices. Though I did not personally meet the owner, she reached out to me via email and phone to introduce herself and how excited she was to make our cake. She worked with me and my husbands parents together and was able to make our perfectly. I am gluten free and they were able to make our top tier gluten free - it tasted so good! They also were able to give us a military discount! Highly recommend fredericks!

My cake was beautiful!!! It was so perfect and they paid so much attention to detail. I showed them a few photos of ideas on how I wanted the cake to look, gave them a bunch of fake flowers and boy they did not disappoint! Guests said the cake was "fire" lol. We didn't really get to eat our piece on our day (too busy), we ate the top piece last night and we were like "WOW!"

My husband and I got married at LaBelle winery and got the name of Fredericks off of their recommended vendor list. And we are so glad we did! We went for a tasting with some family members (and a toddler) and Fredericks was incredibly accommodating! At first, my husband and I wanted a naked cake, but after tasting their amazing frosting, we knew we had to cover our cake in as much frosting as possible! We chose to have tiers of their white almond and the chocolate cake, both with raspberry preserves. Our guests raved about how delicious the cake was the entire night! Fredericks even worked with my florist to allow her to place our floral pieces as well. Their cake is so good that I might not even be able to wait until our first anniversary to eat our top tier!

We got a three tier cake from them for our wedding, it had whipped cream frosting with a chocolate ganache drizzle, then the actual cake was chocolate with layers of chocolate mousse and a raspberry purée. It was SO GOOD. And the cake itself was beautiful too before we ate the whole thing haha. They were easy to work with and made great recommendations on what tastes good together and what doesnt. Highly recommend them!

Our cake tasting with Sam was amazing! The samples were so great and Sam was knowledgeable about all the products. She helped us design the most simple and elegant wedding cake as I didn't want anything flashy or overly complicated - and three varieties of cupcakes for our guests to enjoy. What Frederick's delivered was mind-blowing! Beyond our expectations and our guests were rejoicing with how delicious the cupcakes were! OH! We were married in October 2019. We had a cake tasting at Frederick's in their fun and colorful space. I selected a two tier cake, almond with buttercream frosting. Frederick's was easy to work with, confirmed all details ahead of time, and the cake arrived on time and looking perfect. And it was delicious - we got so many compliments. I highly recommend working with them for any occasion. I have the top tier of our cake in the freezer for our anniversary, and am already looking forward to it.

We went with this company for our wedding cake, and could not have been happier! We met with them a few months before the wedding, and they noted and sketched what we requested. When I saw the cake in person, it was EXACTLY how I had imagined it would be. It was absolutely perfect, and the cake I had always imagined my wedding cake would be.

BOOK WITH FREDERICK’S PASTRIES! I cannot say enough… on 9/21/19, my husband and I had bites of the best cake we have ever tasted in our entire lives, and we are so lucky to have the top tier saved in our fridge for our one year anniversary… if we don’t break into it beforehand ;) We chose an almond pound cake with fudge and peanut butter filling. The decision was a difficult one because when we went to cake tastings, Frederick’s truly had what we thought to be the best tasting combinations. They had options for you to do different flavors with each tier, but we worried guests might want to try them all in that case, so we stuck to just one! My husband and I have received several compliments about how delicious our cake was.
Not only was the cake delicious, but Susan from Frederick’s was incredibly easy to work with. She always responded to our emails in a timely manner, and worked hard to carry out our vision for the cake. She asked all the right clarifying questions as we wanted taller tiers with simple frosting and flowers from our florist. She achieved the modern look we were going for perfectly. We would 100% recommend Frederick’s to any local bride and groom- you won’t regret it!

So I make specialty cakes as a side job and am a perfectionist. So having someone else make my wedding cake definitely made me nervous. I went to a few different tastings at a couple different bakeries, and I was blown away by how delicious and the service I had at Frederick's. They let me customize my cake within the details of my package with the venue, and let me add extras for additional cost if I wanted them. I was beyond happy with the experience and the cake was everything I wanted and more. It was perfect! I had over 250 guests so I had 2 sheet cakes in the kitchen along with my 4 tier cake, and I was able to do multiple flavors! Absolutely delicious!

Stunning and delicious wedding cake.
We got married on March 16th, 2019 at the Tewksbury Country Club. The owner Susan was very attentive and want to make sure that my cake was going to come just the way I wanted. We met with one of the ladies for our wedding cake tasting and confirmed all the cake details. Afterward, I had a few changes and Susan was more than happy to make the changes I wanted. Further, I needed a last minute birthday cake for one of my Jr. Bridesmaid. Susan was able to accommodate my request and everyone was stunned how beautiful and delicious the cake was. My wedding cake was everything that I wanted and now I have a new bakery for all my future celebration cakes and delicious sweets.

First and foremost I want to thank the staff at Frederick's Pastries! Sue was absolutely wonderful to work with and answered all of my many questions very quickly over email (my preference). I also want to specifically thank Alison with whom we worked with several times in person at the Andover, MA location on flavors and designs. She was fantastic to work with and put together an amazing design for us. I'm sure there are also plenty of other staff working behind the scenes on the cake and I can't say enough positive things about our experience here. I highly recommend Frederick's Pastries both for wedding cakes, but also for any other bakery treats you might be looking for. We could rarely enter their shop without leaving with a few snacks for the road. Everything was amazing with our cake, and they were so easy to work with.

We ordered pastries and small desserts for our dessert bar as well as a small cutting cake for just us to cut and everything was so delicious. People could not stop talking about the cream puffs and whoopie pies!! Fredericks delivered and we had an awesome tasting ahead of time. They were super accommodating and flexible as well.

Wow! We are so happy we chose Fredericks Pastries to make our wedding cake! It was so good and our guests raved about it. They took our vision and literally made it come to life. If you are trying to figure out the bakery to use for your wedding cake, look no further! From the tasting appointment to the moment the cake was served, everything was great. They took the time to explain all of the options, and made us feel like we could have a fantastic, delicious cake without breaking the bank. You can mix and match layers and fillings - we went with a white cake and part chocolate, part chocolate/raspberry fillings. You also can opt for a kitchen cake (which we did) to help with serving 100 people - but the kitchen cake looks identical to the tiered cake in terms of layers, so none of our guests knew. We needed help with deciding on the decoration, and Frederick's was patient and fantastic. The entire wedding team was responsive by phone and email, the delivery service was on time, and the cost was very reasonable (less than $400 for over 100 guests and plus delivery). The guests raved about the cake, which was really the most important part.

We LOVED working with them! The tasting was great, and than allowing us to add some ribbon and choosing different kinds, the cake came out amazing! They also went above and beyond and left some nice sweets in our suite we were staying at. They were great to work with, and I'm so glad we did! Working with Frederick’s was an awesome experience from start to finish. Sue and the team did a great job with communication from the initial cake tasting all the way up to the wedding day. We chose cupcakes for our desserts which were delicious and received many compliments from our guests. The cupcake display at our wedding venue LaBelle Winery they set up was absolutely gorgeous and we couldn’t have asked for it to look any better. One would think for all this the price tag would be pretty high, however we were very happy with the reasonable cost for everything. I would highly recommend Frederick’s for delicious desserts at a great value.

My husband and I were looking to get a simple 2 tier buttercream cake with fresh flowers and 2 kitchen cakes to serve at our wedding on 5/19/18 at The Commons 1854. We were tight on our budget and had difficulty finding a bakery that did not have an outrageous price minimum and/or did not have kitchen cakes as an option. I have used Frederick's in the past for graduation cakes and birthday cakes, so I scheduled a complimentary tasting with the N. Andover location.
The food tasting was amazing! The girl we worked with (sorry, forgot her name!) was so pleasant and knowledgeable and gave us no issues when we told her what we were looking for. After testing out multiple flavors of frosting, fillings, and cake, we went with 2 separate flavors: chocolate cake with raspberry filling and white buttercream frosting and white almond pound cake with chocolate fudge filling and white buttercream frosting.
Our cake was out of this world! We received so many compliments on how good it was and there was none left to take home! We provided our cake topper and fresh flowers in advance with no problems. However, they do offer fresh roses for free should you choose, but we went with our own flowers provided by our florist. The cost of our cake was a fraction of what it was at every other bakery and probably more delicious than any other bakery could have provided.
Thank you Frederick's for providing such a tasty treat for us and our guests on such a special day!

Delicious wedding cake! So many fillings to choose from that we found it hard to decide, so we went with mocha, peanut butter, and strawberry! It looked absolutely beautiful. Our florist gave them a bunch of flowers to use, and they arranged them perfectly. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely gorgeous!! This was the BEST cake that I have ever eaten, and not just because it was our wedding cake. We had a fall wedding, so the pumpkin cake with mocha filling was absolutely perfect. We got so many compliments from our guests, not just because of how good it was but how unique. Frederick's has some of the most delicious pastries I have ever had. My husband and I went on a random day to try some of their pastries and to inquire about their wedding cake packages and we had a tasting that same day. We were sold and booked them immediately and chose our flavors. Their specialty is purple velvet which we had for our wedding cake along with vanilla and buttercream. Needless to say, all their flavors are delicious. I sent them an e-mail with the cake design and flavors I wanted and they responded back quickly. We never had an issue with communication. I also dropped off our cake topper and they placed it on the day of the wedding. When I saw my wedding cake the day of the wedding I almost cried! I couldn't believe how beautiful it came out, it was perfect. All of our guests gave us compliments on how good it tasted, they are still asking us for more! I showed the staff member a picture of the cake I wanted from Pinterest and they created it exactly to my specifications. I have a nut allergy and they were sure to accommodate me for the tasting and the cake itself. Everyone commented at our wedding that OUR cake was the BEST cake that they had EVER tasted. Not only this, Frederick's created a masterpiece of ivory fondant with lace appliques. Frederick's was a package vendor with our venue and I was able to meet Sue, the owner, at a bridal event. She was so great to work with, as was the rest of her staff. Very responsive and professional. We went through their store in Andover, MA. Our cake was the almond pound cake with raspberry filling and it was so delicious! The guests loved it. I was also incredibly impressed with the decor. I gave them a pile of florals to use and they did an amazing job - they cake fit our venue and wedding perfectly. Thank you!!

The pricing of the cake we decided to get included live roses as well. All other bakeries I had spoken to wanted to charge me quite a bit for fresh flowers. In the end, we decided to go with the white pound cake with a raspberry filling…absolutely perfect!

If you want a delicious wedding cake - Fredrick's is the best! The groom is from Europe & we had lots of European guests with high standards for chocolate & pastries! Needless to say, the groom took wedding planning very seriously when it came time for "cake tasting". We literally tried cakes from 5 of the top rated bakeries in MA. Fredrick's was by far the best tasting of all the cakes we tried!
I (the bride) was really impressed with Fredrick's right before the wedding. We slightly changed our vision for the design of the cake a few weeks before our big day, Fredrick's was very flexible & easy to work with. The owner even called me & then offered to call our florist (we were having fresh flowers on the cake) to arrange who would place the flowers, delivery times, etc. Fredrick's exceeded all of my wedding expectations, taking todo's off my list. The cake looked gorgeous, just like we hoped for & tasted even better. Lots of our guests complimented on how great tasting the cake was! (vanilla cake with chocolate fudge, peanut butter filling & buttercream frosting, yum!)
We're looking forward to getting many more sweets from Fredrick's in the future.

Frederick's did an assortment of pastries for our wedding (we're not cake people!). They were absolutely delicious. The staff at Frederick's was super responsive and helpful, from the first tasting to the wedding day. We'd absolutely recommend them.

My wedding cake was amazing and delicious. And they let me mail them the ribbon for the cake instead of coming in, as they were far from where I live, so accommodating. I will continue to get cakes for special occasions from them!

Our wedding cake was absolutely delicious!!! We had a chocolate cake with raspberry filling with a vanilla buttercream frosting. It was a huge hit! I loved working with Frederick's and found them very flexible. They were so helpful working around my food allergies. They even made a separate gluten free top tier and a gluten free large cupcake so I could have cake during our cake cutting. The gluten free cake was delicious and tasted just like regular cake which can be tough to do when baking gluten free. Our guests loved the cake and had so many compliments on the taste and way it was decorated.

We absolutely loved how our wedding cake turned out! It looked beautiful and it tasted amazing! Ann and Susan were great to work with at the Andover location. We were even able to send them our cake topper to place, so it would be centered. We couldn't be happier with how it looked and tasted on our wedding day!

Our wedding cake not only looked beautiful, but it tasted delicious!!!! The cake was moist and the layered flavors were oh-so tasty! I had been eyeing Frederick’s Purple Velvet cake for quite some time, and was thrilled to have it at our wedding! Frederick’s was very easy to work with (and extremely responsive to calls & emails), and created a gorgeous--and delicious!--cake for our wedding. Our cake was purple velvet with buttercream frosting and buttercream filling, and was incredibly delicious. We had guests tell us that it was the best wedding cake (or just cake in general!) that they had ever had! We can’t wait to cut into our top tier, and plan to get a purple velvet cake the next time we are in the area. We definitely recommend Frederick’s!

Our cake was PERFECT! We got so many compliments from our guests, as well!!! The staff at Fredericks works miracles, as well... My then soon to be husband made our cake topper, WAY bigger than we had discussed, and much heavier.. I thought for sure it would crush the cake, if they could even put it ON the cake.... They said t might have to be at the bottom leaned on the side of the cake.. But when we walked into the reception, there it was, big, heavy and beautiful- our custom made personalized cake topper!!!! It made our night... Thank you, Frederick's!!!!!!

Frederick's provided us with a delicious and beautiful wedding cake. The tasting was very organized and the person who met with us was professional and answered all of our questions. We ended up changing one of our flavors a few weeks before the wedding and they were very accommodating. The cake was perfect and was exactly what we were looking for (and tasted great!)

Our cake was perfect! We brought in a few ideas of what we wanted and it turned into the most beautiful of designs for our cake! They worked hard to make it a one of a kind cake that matched every desire we had as well as our wedding theme. I use fredericks for ALL of my cake needs and can say that they have an extremely talented group. Highly recommend and extremely delicious!

I would recommend Frederick's to any bride. My wedding cake turned out exactly how I envisioned it and it tasted amazing. We chose three different flavors and all three were so delicious, we were able to enjoy a slice of each the next day! Guests commented on how tasty it was! The price was right and the quality of the cake was great, also everyone I worked with throughout the process were very nice and professional!

Our wedding cake from Frederick's was to die for. Sue the Proprietor sat down with us during our sampling and discussed our different options. She was so easy to deal with. The cake itself was spectacular-- moist and oh-so-delicious! My now-husband and I couldn't wait until our first year anniversary to eat the top layer. It was gone after 1 month!

We ended up doing a really funky wedding cake, we did a mario kart themed cake and were a little concerned that it wouldn't come out like we imagined but they did an amazing job with it. The cake designer sat down with us for about an hour and went over every little detail. We ended up getting tons of compliments on the cake both from wedding guests and the staff at the venue. And most importantly the cake tasted amazing!

My wedding cake was beautiful. It came out exactly how I wanted it. I love that Frederick's has purple velvet cake. My wedding colors were plum and silver. It was a nice touch when my quests saw their purple slide of cake. It was very delicious!!

We used Frederick's Pastries for our wedding cake and we couldn't have been happier. We had a 4-tiered cake with each tier as a different type of cake and it was a huge hit! Everyone was raving about how good the cake was, especially the pumpkin cake with cream cheese filling (yum!). They did an amazing job decorating the cake as well and it was exactly what we imagined!
