    Our Daughters Wedding was spectacular

I can’t begin to tell you what an experience we had at the Fox barn 29 wedding venue.
This was the perfect place to have our daughters wedding. The views and gardens are spectacular. It was so beautiful for our outdoor wedding, and then an easy transition upstairs to the reception. The indoors is great for dining and the deck for dancing. Patty and her staff were wonderful to work with.
We stayed at the farm house which made the day complete.
If your looking for something that has everything, this is your place,
We still get tons of compliments on the wedding and the venue.

I am still in the planning phase, but I just wanted to comment for any future couple. As soon as I started emailing Patty, I knew right away I would love her. She is exteremely helpful and accommodating, plus she is quick at responding. I'm so glad I was able to find those qualities while searching for a caterer. Consider twenty9 for your wedding. They have amazing food. The tasting they offered was amazing. My fiancé and I cannot wait for the big day.

For our wedding we really wanted an all inclusive venue where we could have all to most of the wedding outside in an elegant and rustic setting. When we found Twenty9 and met with them, we knew we had found the spot! Patty, Jessica, and the whole team at Twenty9 are truly exceptional! They made sure our personality was reflected every step of the way. The set up and decor was gorgeous and they were incredibly flexible and creative. We could not have asked for a better experience from beginning to end!

Patty did a phenomenal job on the all of the flowers in the wedding. It was such a relief to not have to worry about any floral bouquets, arrangements, or decor. Patty had it all under control! She made a huge effort to find flowers that were in season, went with our vision, and were in our budget. We were able to hire the DJ through them as well. The DJ was fantastic and even on one of the hottest days of the summer he kept people dancing all night! Being able to do all the floral components and music through Twenty9 took an immense amount of pressure off the planning process.

We are foodies so it was important to have good food at our wedding. We had a buffet with a whole Italian pig and got so many compliments on how delicious and high quality the food was! We had 2 guests with gluten allergies and the staff took the time and care with those guests to make sure they knew what was gluten free.

They really went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect at an very fair cost. We have nothing but positive things to say about the venue and the people running it. I highly recommend this venue!

I wish I could give 10 stars or more! Anthony and the Twenty9 catering team were perfect in every way. First, working with Anthony was extremely easy. He executed all of our requests swiftly and professionally. I created a very detail specific timeline for our wedding day which the Twenty9 team followed perfectly. This may sound easy and expected but, a few of our other vendors (not associated with Twenty9) of which whom had the same paperwork, found extreme difficulty in this task. Anthony stayed on schedule perfectly if not, better. He really made our day!

Secondly, the food was unbelievably delicious! Not your typical "wedding/caterer style" food. The meal was 5 star restaurant level. If you havent eaten at Twenty9's restaurant you must go try it! They won't let you down. Amazing! Plus, our food tasted exactly the same as the day of our tasting, if not, better!

Anthony went above and beyond to make our day perfect and I couldn't thank him enough at our wedding. I had alot of requests. He treated us extremely professional but was down to earth and humble which was refreshing as it is not very common nowadays.

I highly recommend using Twenty9 caterers whether you have your wedding at Twenty9 or off site. Ours was off site and I can't say enough about how amazing of a job they did from A to Z! I would definitely use them again for any of our catered events!

    Couldn't have asked for more

Patty was a breeze to work with! Our day fell together flawlessly and the venue was more beautiful than we could have imagined. Our families called us for days to rave about how beautiful everything was and how impressed they were. You CANNOT beat her prices! The quality of the venue is unmatched. Stop considering and book NOW.

    Great Venue!

We loved having our wedding be at Fox Barn at Twenty9! I remember touring the facility and Patty the owner made us feel so comfortable for all of the questions we had. Patty's responsiveness and willingness to make our special day fit the venue is exactly the reason why we booked not only the whole facility but, even stayed overnight at the farmhouse and have her restaurant cater our rehearsal dinner. The logistics of the day of events coordinator seemed a little misguiding in terms of communication but, everything came together once the wedding started.

My husband and I are really excited to come back here for date nights in the future to enjoy the downstairs part of the venue and will definitely consider having events here in the future. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants high quality food and drinks at a more reasonable price than other places in the area and it's a great spot for an indoor/outdoor option.

    Father of the groom

Outstanding venue. Very good service. A couple of hiccups, but nothing that wasn’t corrected. Having a wedding planner there in addition to staff was a big plus.

    Not your average wedding venue…

This is not a run of the mill wedding factory … which is what we wanted! However this place has a lot of kinks to work out to become a well oiled machine. Please take my advice and hire a day of coordinator. You cannot get married here without one. My planner set everything up, helped me during pictures, bustled my dress, brought me dinner, helped with my cake cutting, and packed everything up at the end of the night. The venue does not do these things. If I didn’t have a planner I would have been doing it all myself on my wedding day. The one thing the venue was responsible for they failed to do. While my planner was with me Patti (the owner) and her staff were supposed to walk around cocktail hour and ask my guests to go upstairs at 550pm so everyone could be sitting down by 6pm. She failed to do this. I had to grab the lead singer from the band and ask her to quickly make an announcement. By the time the guests were seated and my husband and I did our entrance/first dance, we were about 30 mins behind schedule. We spoke many times about my timeline (she even sent me an email with the timeline) so I was extremely upset when everything was derailed! Just hire the planner. And read the other negative comments… because I had similar experiences too. But after my guests went downstairs for dancing on the deck everything was fine. Everyone still can’t stop talking about how fun our wedding was!

Beautiful venue, Not so great customer service

Let me start by saying the venue is beautiful and just what we wanted for the atmosphere and look of our wedding. The farmhouse next door was also amazing. It was perfect for our rehearsal dinner, getting ready, and hanging out all night after our wedding. The house is huge with plenty of space for the wedding party and a great sound system throughout the whole house for music. Tom the manager, and all the event staff/waiters were great and we had a fun wedding night. It was also a great price for delicious food & a good location.
However, Patricia the owner was extremely frustrating to work with. It was like pulling teeth to get answers to any of our emails, and any time we discussed anything in person, she would not write anything down or remember anything we talked about. It was like we had never had the meeting, as she would never follow up with any in person questions or requests, and it was up to me as the bride to make sure things were getting done and we were getting answers to our questions. She would go radio silent for weeks, seemingly ignoring my emails. It made the wedding planning process WAY more stressful than it already is. It got to the point where we were afraid to ask more questions we needed answers to because there were already so many things we still did not have confirmed and didn't want the requests we had already made to be incorrect.
She took notes on scrap paper one singular time in our final meeting about the menu, even though she had a MacBook she brought with her she could have been writing notes in every time we met. It is my guess she probably lost that piece of paper as well, because items on the menu section of our event order were incorrect. It also took forever for her to correct the mistakes, resulting in us having to wait until just days before the wedding to make any kind of payments.
We were also lied to about who would be our day-of coordinator. I requested that the same person that it would be, also be there for our rehearsal so that I could make sure we were on the same page for ceremony plans as well as the flow of the day. Patricia was the one there for our rehearsal, and I verbally confirmed with her that she would be the one with us for our wedding the next day. At the last minute while I am putting on my wedding dress, she informs me that is actually going to be Tom (who is super nice and I had no problem with him being our day-of person, but he did not know anything about what we had discussed at the rehearsal). As a result, there was much unneeded stress and confusion at the very last minute about the plan for the ceremony after I had requested it be the same person for a reason.
I had also made it very clear that there could be absolutely no nuts in any of the dishes as a family member has a very serious allergy. It was discussed in person and email MULTIPLE times and written in bold letters on our event order. There were walnuts in the salad which very may well have killed her if I had not noticed it and warned her to stay away. Tom was very nice and apologetic and offered to make a special plate for her, but it was it was very concerning this mistake was made.
I also spent the morning of my wedding cleaning up trash around the outdoor spaces of the venue from the wedding the day before ours and helping remove their decorations as none of this was done. It is really inexcusable to be told we could decorate when the tables are set in the morning, yet have to clean up someone else's wedding first instead. We had to rush to decorate for our own wedding because we could not do so until the previous wedding was cleaned up. Then at the end of the night, we were informed at the last minute that we had to remove all of OUR decorations as soon as the reception was over because they would be closed the next day and we couldn't do it then.
The folding chairs for the ceremony were also set up in a very haphazard way and the groomsmen ended up rearranging them themselves. Our table linen colors were also incorrect after having multiple discussions about it and I ended up folding half of the napkins myself after she had to go get the correct ones.
Overall the wedding turned out beautiful and our guests raved about the food, but the whole process could have been A LOT less stressful with better communication. The owner should consider hiring someone else with event/wedding experience to handle this side of things as it was very obvious to my husband who works in the event planning industry that she did not have the necessary experience or detail-oriented personality and communication skills.

    Fox Barn at Twenty9's reply:

    Hello Alyssa:
Thank you for your feedback. I do appreciate your review and I will take note to all of the points you expressed. I am sorry for any disappointment you may have felt.

Per all of our meetings any notes that I take on paper I immediately put into our software system perfect venue. Regarding the Salad options, I did change it on the proposal but did not realize it had not saved when I sent it over to you. I do not recall any other items that were incorrect on the menu. You received the proposal with all of the notes and food items attached which specified all of your allergy requests and any other details and the proposal was approved prior to the event along with timeline and table setup. I will talk to our Kitchen and Tom about the nuts being in the salad to see what happened as this is the first time I am hearing of this.

To your point about trash - We have an entire staff that comes in at the appropriate time to do all of the tasks that are assigned to them. YOU DID NOT NEED TO PICK UP ANY TRASH AS THAT ALL WOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF BY MY STAFF.

Regarding the timing of your getting in....We are an event venue and if an event is scheduled the day prior to your event then setup falls on the next day. I am always there at 8-9 am in the morning so you or your vendors can easily access the venue at any time during the morning hours to decorate.
At the end of an event our room is set up back to its normal setting with our white and ivory linens and our ivory napkins. That is why when you arrived in the morning your napkins were not out. We have a process on the day of a wedding and setting the tables with glassware, silverware, linens and napkins is something that WE DO. I repeatedly told your team of friends that my staff was coming in to fold napkins and set up tables however they took it upon themselves to keep doing it despite my efforts in letting them know they did not have to. That was absolutely not something that I left for you or expected you to do!

Regarding picking up your decor, we are not responsible for any decor left behind. If you requested that I hold it for the next open business day I would have gladly stored it for you until Tuesday. The Venue is closed on Mondays.

Just to be clear, we are not personal event coordinators. We did not charge you for personal event coordination. We are here to facilitate the day of coordination of the venue responsibilities which is the food, the venue set up (linens, tables, chairs, buffet stations, bar and ceremony site). We will help you in any way we can with your decor if requested and we will even go as far as setting it up for you with the proper instructions. We also communicate with you DJ and vendors the day of to make sure they have everything they need from us. Regarding your rehearsal, again we are not a coordinator in the sense that we know each individual in your wedding party, their names, or their rolls in your event. We are there as a complimentary support system and my manager Tom has done many rehearsals in the past so I will have to refer to him to see what problems he ran into the day of that you referenced.

I take great pride in my venue and making sure every event comes together beautifully. I have an amazing staff as well who come in and know what their rolls are the day of an event and execute them with great pride and enthusiasm. We all work as a team to get the job done.

Again, I do appreciate your feedback and wish you much happiness in the future.

    Best
    Patty

    Great Venue W/Disappointing Service

The venue is beautiful with great options to create the wedding you want. Important- only choose this place if you plan on hiring your very own wedding coordinator. The majority of service that was promised was very disappointing!!!! We communicated in person & through detailed directions for our table seating, wedding favors & photobooth. It was not done leaving our family & friends to scramble for where to sit. 2 Guests had to take it upon themselves to create a selfie station rather than enjoy the wedding.
Thankfully our OTHER vendors went above and beyond to make our wedding the day of our dreams.

    Fox Barn at Twenty9's reply:

    Hi Wendy:
Thank you again for your feedback. We always appreciate it!
During the process of planning your wedding, there was never any mention to me that we would need to be PHYSICALLY PUTTING TOGETHER your favors. We have venue coordination here at the Fox Barn which means we are in charge of making sure every aspect of the venue is doing its job with cuisine and venue set up ie: approved table layout, linens, bar, staff and being here to meet and greet your vendors if you or someone you appoint cannot be here ... (And all of that was completed diligently and flawlessly on our end). When it comes to Decor, we ask all of our clients if they want us to help set up their room with specific decor out of courtesy... as long as it is brought to the venue and labeled with specific instructions, we would be happy to set it up for you. What you brought us was an unfinished decor application that actually was never even discussed and we had no idea that you expected that from us. It is not our job to tape together your name tags to your favors. You opted not to have a seating chart so if your favors were suppose to be your seating arrangements they should of been put together upon arrival.

We have an amazing staff that works diligently and efficiently to make each wedding small or large a unique experience and your wedding day was no exception. I actually have a text message from you on 5/27/22 at 4:30pm Quote verbatim: FIRST OF ALL, THANK YOU FOR THE MOST WONDERFUL WEDDING BEYOND OUR DREAMS. I LEFT MY BRIDAL HANGER IN THE FARMHOUSE...CAN YOU CHECK AND SEE IF IT IS THERE.

So Per this message back in May, there was never any mention of this so now that it is August, I am shocked that you are just bringing this to the table and writing this review.

If any of my potential weddings have any questions at all, please feel free to call me personally at 484-557-7567 and I can go over any questions you may have.

Wendy, wishing you the best in your future....
