Great DJ!!

Stevan was great to work with. He responded to all my emails leading up to our wedding very quickly and easily changed a few things for me last minute. He kept the dance floor moving!

Great night

Stephen and Kaydee are amazing. They are both such kind people and were so patient with the multiple last minute changes I made at my wedding. Stephen made sure that everyone was having a great time dancing. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ!

Amazing evening

Stephen (Four Star Entertainment) was the DJ/MC for our September wedding. We actually found him through a friend's wedding that we had attended. He hooked us up with a really affordable package (dj/mc/uplights) and made our lives so much easier with the wedding process. He was awesome with communication and was always quick to respond whenever we had a question or needed information.
Stephen met up with us to go over our wedding timeline and song selections. He had a music selection worksheet that made it easier to select different genres and was even open to individual song selections. Because of that, we had the entire wedding/songs picked out quickly which helps tremendously. Most importantly, he is open to your feedback and ideas and is someone who will work with you.
Stephen helped make our wedding a fun and entertaining night. 10 out of 10, we recommend Stephen (Four Star Entertainment)!

Graduation party

Four Star Entertainment took care of our medical school graduation banquet. They were incredibly processional, from showing up early for set up, exciting the dance floor during the event, to timely clean up and exit from the venue. I would recommend them to everyone needing personal to professional events. I plan to ask them to DJ our future events as well!

Fun and upbeat

Steve with Four Star Entertainment provided an awesome and fun time at our daughter's wedding. He did a great job keeping that party going. He offers a great variety and is very accommodating. Our daughter originally was not going to do music at the on the beach ceremony but changed her mind and Steve had no issue providing what she wanted. He was so flexible and a joy to work with would. Made it very easy since he had previously worked at our venue and with our photographer. We were very happy and would use him again should there ever be a need.

We booked Four Star Entertainment for our wedding on 7/3/19, and I recommend Four Star Entertainment with the highest regards possible. Steve was very professional, easy to communicate with, and made our wedding so much more special. He was set up on time, had smooth transitions, and MC'd for us with no problems. Our requests were integrated into his mix perfectly, and our guests complimented us on our music choice all night.

I have to say I don't usually take the time to go and write a review...but I feel like this warrants a review. My husband and I had no clue on we wanted for our wedding with regards to entertainment for our wedding. We got extremely lucky with Steve from Four Star Entertainment . Not only was he on top of things he followed trough with everything and went above and beyond. We couldn't ask for more. He wanted to make sure our day was special and we had all of our concerns addressed and they were. Not only was Steve awesome to work with , Charlie was as well.

Happy Night :)

We hired Four Star Entertainment for our wedding and we couldn't have been happier. Steve was absolutely wonderful. He was extremely professional, easy to get a hold of, and kept the flow of the wedding throughout the night. The music was great and kept the energy up until it was time to leave. I highly suggest booking for a wedding if you're looking around...you won't be disappointed!

Great night of fun1

Four Star Entertainment was an awesome company we hired to be a DJ/MC for our wedding. From email communications to meeting them in person, we knew right away that we wanted Steve and Kaydee to be at our wedding. Mind you, my Wife and I researched over dozens of companies. They are very professional and organized. They gave us questionnaires that would assist with music choices. My Wife and I are not really music savvy people and trusted the experience of Four Star to recommend some great tunes based off of conversations we had.

The day of wedding!! They both came on time and set up the event. They looked professional and followed the timeline to the "T." I honestly had no worries about what was happening throughout the wedding because I trusted their experience. Everyone commented on how smooth the event went and the music choices were remarkable. When we were taking photos after the ceremony, my Wife and I were talking about how great the music sounded. Four Star worked well with my wedding coordinator to make sure everything went according to plan!!

The reception party time was a hit!! Everyone got on the dance floor and started to enjoy their evening. I heard music from all different types of genres. They even got my mother and father to get on the dance floor.
I will definitely be using Four Star Entertainment for all my events and will recommend them to everyone I know!!

What a night!

Steve and Charlie are as good as it gets when it comes to first-in-class service!
From start to finish, they kept in high communication and had the most amazing response time.
Booking was super simple and their services come at an excellent price! Friendly, professional, and talented. Will definitely use Four Star Entertainment again! Thanks, guys!

Engagement Party

Our DJ Steve was amazing! We had him for our outdoor engagement party and it was great. We opted for no song requests and he handled it so gracefully when someone would ask-it was really worth it to invest in a great DJ. We filled out the questionnaire and his playlist was completely spot on with what we had in mind without having to go into crazy detail. It was so nice just being able to enjoy the night. Thank you again Steve we will definitely be booking you for our wedding!!

Wounderful Wedding!

Steve did an amazing job as DJ at our wedding. Working with Four Star Entertainment was so easy and fun, they were definitely the easiest vendor to work with during the whole wedding planning process.

He had a very extensive questionnaire that we filled out that covered everything from songs we love, what not to play, what song to play during each event. It was just nice to be able to fill that out and basically cover everything that might come up on the day of so we could discuss it beforehand. Also, on the day of, when the money dance went way longer than we thought the songs he played were perfect so he definitely improvises well!

As far as the dance party, we had given him some suggestions but really just told him to do his thing to keep people on the dance floor and let me tell you! We had a long wedding and people were dancing until the very end!! He felt the crowd out very well and everyone loved the music he was playing and had a blast. Finishing with Sum 41 is a bold move as a DJ, but he obviously had figured us out by then because we LOVED it and I will never forget the moment of fist pumping with my wedding guests as a way to end the night with one of my favorite teenage songs. Great memories for sure!
Overall, Four Star Entertainment did great and we would hire them again and again!

Great Time!

Steve was amazing! Not only did he juggle a challenging venue set up, he ROCKED the dance floor managing a wide range of requests and styles. Awesome Experience!

This review is far overdue! Four Star Entertainment really came through and made our wedding day the most memorable day ever! The owner, Steve was an absolute pleasure to work with from our initial meeting to the day of our wedding. He was even kind enough to provide me with a sample of a timeline to use on the wedding day, which came in really handy! The services provided were, beautiful up-lighting , Gobo (monogram), and of course dj. Steve was an awesome MC all night as well. He followed our timeline and everything flowed so smoothly throughout the night! The music was awesome! All we did was give him genres that we liked and he knew exactly what to play. There was never a time where we had an empty dance floor. We all danced the night away and Steve and Kaydee made sure they kept the party going! We are beyond grateful for such a memorable night. Thank you Steve, Kaydee and Four Star Entertainment!

Awesome Wedding experience!

Steve and Charlie are the absolute best! After an exhaustive search for a wedding DJ, I was referred to Four Star Entertainment by a mutual acquaintance. I could not have been happier with the job they did. Not only were they complete professionals, but you can tell they were in their element as a DJ's . Their music choice was impeccable and coincided perfectly with my recommendations. They also do an awesome job of running the show and directing people, while still not making it about them and allowing everyone to enjoy themselves. I would happily pay twice as much for his service as I did - they are an absolute bargain and is worth WAY more than what they charge! Most of all, I have to say that Steve is just a straight up good dude who is super cool. I can't thank him enough for being part of my wedding. I'd encourage anyone to use him and Charlie as well they ROCK!!!

Amazing DJ!! Kept everyone on the dance floor the entire evening and was everything we could have ever asked for. Was very responsive to messages and very flexible. Our original venue cancelled on us and Steve had no problem with the venue change at all. He played all of our requested songs and made announcements throughout the night. If you’re looking for a DJ to keep people happy and dancing all night, I highly recommend him!

Steve was amazing to work with. He was very responsive, he asked us all the right questions (and many of them we hadn't even considered) and listened to the feel of the wedding we wanted. He played music for our wedding ceremony in New Bern (waterfront and it was cold that day), as well as the reception. After our first dances and parent songs, he moved right into music that got people up on the dance floor and kept them there all night. He had an amazing set up, including separate speakers/mics for the ceremony, up lighting for the dance floor, amazing MC skills, and he kept the party going. He really feels the crowd and carters to their musical interests. He was sure that we stayed on our timeline and made all the announcements for us. He even came the day prior to meet me and scope out the wedding venue. He was always quick to reply to any email or phone communication and was truly a pleasure to work with. I would HIGHLY recommend him for your wedding or event.

Can't say enough about how great Steve was for our wedding reception! So easy to work with and very professional!!!!! He kept our guests on the dance floor all night!!!!! We had a diverse age group of guests and everyone had a fabulous time! Had quite a few guest tell me how much they enjoyed our DJ!!!

Four Star Entertainment was the best hands down!! He was super flexible and laid back with my inherited procrastination genes. He never missed a beat. We had the best wedding celebration we could ever hope for in large part because of Steve Perkins at Four Star Entertainment! Steve was extremely responsive, engaging, and professional from contract to event execution! He was able to bring together all ages for a most epic night of fun and memories. He arrived earlier than we anticipated we would need him to be; which was absolutely essential because he played our wedding ceremony music, which we otherwise would not have been able to at our outside venue. Steve really took time to know us and our wants and truly made our wedding one that we still love reliving with our family and friends. He needs to change his name to five star entertainment if you as me!!!

Steve (Four Star Entertainment) did an excellent job. I had so many people come up and ask who the DJ was and say that he was doing an awesome job. He played all the songs that guest requested. And once he know what we were interested in, he continued to play songs from that era and style of music. We all had an awesome time, and all the guest loved Steve… Thanks for helping make our wedding memorable.

Steve was amazing! My sister found him to do my wedding, after our previous DJ had flaked. Steve came in and was super professional and dependable. He gave me great peace of mind (as the stressed bride) which was worth more than anything I could have ever hoped for. He played all the stuff I requested and more. Right from the start there was great, quick, professional communication with Steve.
He played for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, and we could not have been more pleased with the outstanding job he did. On the day of the wedding (3/7/2016) he was there for early set up and made sure that everything was working properly, smoothly and on schedule. He played all our requested songs, and for a daytime wedding he had everyone on the dance floor the entire time...even some guests who usually don't like dancing, that says a lot! My guests can't stop raving about how much fun they had. Thank you, Steve, for making our day memorable!

Steve was without a doubt, the life of the party. He kept in touch from the beginning and made sure he knew everything that we needed. I changed things a few times after sending him the finalized plan and he was always good with my changes. He kept the party going during the night and the dance floor was not empty once! Our company has hired Four Star Entertainment for several large community and private events since last year. They are very professional, punctual, organized, and very pleasant to work with. The music selection for each event was appropriate and pretty darn AWESOME! Anytime you need Dj/Karaoke Entertainment you should hire these guys!

Steve has done two of our children's weddings. Our oldest son's wedding in 2013, and our middles son's wedding in 2015. No other DJ service for us but Four Star Entertainment!!!! Me and my husband will be renewing our vows in near future and Yeap Four Star is always on our list for all our functions!!!

Five stars does not do Stephen justice-he deserves so many more! We hired him to dj at our wedding and out of all the vendors he was on his A game from the very beginning. He had all the songs that we wanted for our wedding, even the ones that most had never heard of, was very organized, and played until we shut it down-well over his contracted time. He is slightly lower than the cost of other dj's, but don't let that make you doubt his experience and professionalism, as he went well above and beyond any and all expectations we had. Our family and friends are still talking about the dance, how fun it was, and the fact that it was the best time they have had in years. Stephen, thank you so very much for all you did. We can't say enough amazing things about you! Thank you for making our wedding reception truly unbelievable!!

We recently hired Steve (Four Star Entertainment) for our wedding this past July. He was awesome!! There are many DJ's to choose from and for the most part all of them have the same access to top of the line equipment and a variety of songs. So it can be stressful and time consuming to picking a single DJ Steve, was extremely professional, efficient, and courteous. What really surprised me is Steve agreed to meet us at our rehearsal two days before the wedding. He was not being paid to be there, he did not ask to be paid to go, but knew it was important so he could be prepared for the wedding schedule. I was very impressed simply because he goes above and beyond!

Steve is very detailed oriented before the event and during his preparations. And when the time comes he knows how to get a party started and keep it going. Also, we bypassed a website deal and did business directly through him. He dresses for the occasion and does not advertise his business at your party. He is a real professional and most importantly he's just a nice guy!

Hands down, I would hire Steve (Four Star Entertainment again if I ever need a DJ. I highly recommend Four Star Entertainment for any event!!

Four Star Entertainment was the DJ for our wedding in October. We couldn't be happier with their service. Our reception was shorter than most and we had to keep a very tight timeline. We had a Venue Coordinator, but not a wedding coordinator to keep us on track. We gave Four Star Entertainment (Steve) our minute by minute list of events for the reception and They perfectly kept us on track all while providing great music out of great sounding equipment. That was huge for us, we had so many places to be and They kept us moving.

They worked well with the other vendors. Their set up for the speeches worked perfectly, They transitioned from song to song without breaking the momentum and kept the dance floor packed until the venue kicked us out. Absolutely, highly recommend you consider Them when booking a DJ for an event.

We recently had Steve play at our wedding reception. He was a total professional in all aspects. He got back to us very quickly if we had any questions, was kind and patient and listened to all of our needs and concerns. He allowed us to mix in a custom list of 25 songs which made the night have much more of a personal touch. We were able to request some of our favorite songs along with some others that we knew our friends and family would have liked.

Our reception was bilingual and had both english and spanish speakers. He was able to keep everyone happy and on the dance floor. Hes got a great ability to read the crowd and adapt accordingly. Everyone had a blast and people were dancing way more than I had expected. We played a wide range of music such as Reggae, Salsa, Merengue, Banda, Cumbias, Hip Hop , 80's, 90's amongst other genres. He mixed the genres in very nicely to say the least!

As a bonus he is an excellent event MC, he worked very well with our wedding coordinator and kept the reception flowing smoothly. Things such as the grand entrance, first dances, father/daughter, toast speeches were all handled by Steve. It helped to add more structure to the reception and made things piece together nicely.

He was very attentive and even called a few days prior to the reception in order to get the correct pronunciation for our last names. That was a great personal touch and showed us that he took the extra step to make sure the night went as smooth as can be.
He is a very nice guy and is very easy to get along with as well, that made the experience that much smoother.
His rates are more than reasonable and my wife and I are both VERY happy we found Four Star Entertainment!. Do not hesitate to hire Them for your event. We will for any future big parties for sure.

I just want to tell you that Steve did an amazing Job at our wedding (9/5/2015). Even though we gave him a list of artist and songs to play (which is what he requested), he really knows how to read the crowd and play music that gets people on the dance floor. Everyone of our guests has said the DJ was one of the best! I HIGHLY recommend Steve (Four Star Entertainment) for any event. He is professional, easy going, and really knows how to tailor to one's specific needs. Not to mention, we felt he was very affordable.

Steve and his assistant are the best! He not only keeps the party rolling, but he is incredibly kind, generous, and does his best to honor all your requests.
We had two venues yet were on a tight budget, so Steve worked on getting us a price that was affordable but didn't compromise on quality. On top of that, we had a whole laundry list of songs, events, and MC requests. Steve graciously met with us prior to the wedding to make sure he understood everything so that the big day would run smoothly. Come wedding day, things changed, but Steve rolled through the punches and kept everyone on the dance floor.
I'm serious when I say everyone was partying hard and told me at the end of the night that the wedding was a blast. Thank you, Steve! The music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were spot on!

After looking at numerous DJ companies, I am very happy my husband and I chose Four Star Entertainment DJ Services. We were able to meet with our disc jockey and plan out the entire night. Our DJ gave us peace of mind ensuring us no worries or surprises. Our DJ helped us with details such as music selection, timing, ideas to replace things we didn't want, and perfecting the things we did. No show at my daughter’s wedding!

Do NOT pay Steve Perkins up front! He required the money in advance and left my daughter with no DJ at her ceremony or reception! I have tried for eight months to get a refund, but have received nothing!

Terribleeeeeee

I decided to hire Steve as my dj for my wedding. I signed the contract and paid the deposit. Unfortunately we had to cancel our destination wedding. In the contract it states that they will refund the deposit due to cancellations. It’s been almost six months and I have not received the refund. I’ve sent serval request, but also tried to be understanding and patient because I know we are all struggling a little here lately. Steve has now declined my request for the refund. I’m extremely upset with this “company”. No communication whatsoever. I would not recommend working with him.

Not even one star entertainment.

Do not waste your money!!!! Awful experience, just about ruined my wedding. We paid for the Silver wedding package. The DJ did not have any microphones so my guest could not hear the preacher and had to shout to every at the reception.
The DJ was drinking on the job, drinking on our open bar tab without even asking.
The DJ didn't even bother to use the 10+ page request form we filled out. The bride had to go up to the stage on multiple occasions to flip the pages of the music request/timeline sheet to point out what needed to be played and what was occurring next.
The DJ "Steve" did not even show and the DJ he sent was thrown in last minute and was clueless.
We tried for a year now to rectify the situation with the company and were told we were going to get our money back and haven't received anything!!
