Perfect Choice for Wedding Music

Forte Strings was such a wonderful addition to our wedding ceremony. The communication was top-notch, and they even got the music for a song that I wanted but that was not on their current playlist. My only regret is that I wasn't able to just sit and enjoy their beautiful music. I hope to get hear them play again in the future.

So Beautiful!

I hired Forte Strings for my wedding because they did the ceremony for a friends wedding years ago. I made sure to remember them because I knew that's who I wanted to play at ours. Sharon was our point of contact and she was extremely responsive and professional. Forte Strings played so beautifully and we continued to receive compliments from guests about how much they enjoyed live music for the reception. I loved having them a part of our big day!

Most beautiful music!

Sharon and her team were so amazing to work with! Not only in the team’s performance during my wedding, but in helping me reschedule my wedding due to COVID. I also had some sentimental songs requested to play right before the ceremony starts and she had them timed and performed perfectly. Love Forte Strings!!

Very professional and understanding!

Beautiful and Classy

I loved having Forte Strings perform for our ceremony and reception! The music was beautiful and they had such a wide selection of music to choose from. Sharon was great to work with and promptly answered all of the questions that I had. I had so many guests tell me that the music was so nice and that they enjoyed listening to it during dinner. This was a great alternative to a DJ for us - it fit the ambiance of our wedding and it was the perfect background music so that our guests could still hear everyone at their table. Highly recommend!

Easy to work with, excellent musicians.

We hired Forte Strings to play the music for our ceremony as well as the cocktail hour. My grandmother was a music teacher and plays the piano and organ by ear. It was a really special moment when she came into my bridal suite to compliment Forte Strings. Forte Strings has an excellent selection to choose from and were easy to work with. Sharon was our point of contact. She was extremely responsive and helpful. They did a beautiful job and really added to the ceremony. Our guests loved it! I couldn't be more thrilled.

I knew from the moment I read an email from Sharon I had made the perfect choice for my quartet. She was so professional and kind. I had them learn "Your Hands are Cold" from Pride and Prejudice for me to walk down the aisle to, and they exceeded my expectations. I also audio recorded the ceremony and I'm so glad to have had! I will always cherish their beautiful music. They're very talented and I'll forever recommended them to others.

I knew adding Forte Strings to our wedding would "class" everything up. They were professional and friendly. Sharon was so easy to work with. They sounded beautiful! The hardest thing was picking songs form their extensive list. You will not go wrong with this group!!

We loved Forte Strings! We hired the string quartet to play all popular music (lots of classic rock!) for our wedding ceremony and following cocktail hour. From the booking process to the big day, they were professional, accommodating and easy to communicate with. We were worried about weather in November and they assured us that they can be flexible (heaters, covered areas, etc.) and this really made them stand out from the rest. I can only recommend them!

Forte Strings did an excellent job at our wedding ceremony. Sharon was a joy to work with during the entire process and she even put together a couple of new arrangements for us! Their music was excellent and everyone really enjoyed the Taylor Swift classics that they played before the ceremony began. During our ceremony for my entrance the DJ speakers went out and in the middle of me walking down the aisle. Instead of it being a complete disaster Our Violinist and Cello duet jumped on it and completed the song. They were so quick on there feet and saved my grand entrance. Completely professional and they sounded amazing. I would recommend them to any one. They are willing to work with you as far as choosing out you perfect musical score.

We booked Forte Strings for our ceremony and cocktail hour and they did a fantastic job! They played beautifully and our guests had really good things to say about the music. Sharon was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend booking them for your wedding!

I Highly recommend Forte Strings for any event that requires a professional Violin Quartet.

Sharon and her group played for my wife and I for our 35th wedding anniversary. I wanted certain songs played, which were not in their current repertoire. Sharon went out of her way to locate the music, and they put on a magnificent performance. They were on time, set up, and ready to play as soon as we walked through the door. They had to rush over from a previous engagement (which was across town), and they were still in place and ready to play at the agreed upon time.

When it comes to Professional Musicians, Sharon and her group Forte Strings are at the Top of my list.

Sharon was delightful to work with, she responded quickly to emails. I never actually met her in person since I did most of my planning via emails (living in Houston) but loved hearing the string quartet during our wedding. It was a nice and essential piece of our ceremony. Thank you Forte' Strings for providing us beautiful music on our special day!

Forte Strings did a wonderful job at our wedding. We had an outdoor ceremony in a garden, and the string quartet was just amazing. They set the mood perfectly. They played exactly what we had asked and there were no issues whatsoever with them. They are a terrific value and are very professional. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone searching for a quality string quartet.

My husband and I could not possibly have chosen a better provider for ceremony music. Forte Strings did a wonderful job; all the music was beautifully played and they have a huge number of choices. Our ceremony came out perfect and unique thanks to them. Ms. Hawkins was always in immediate contact and responded to all my emails incredibly promptly. I will highly recommend them to everyone I know that has a wedding!

Todd Evans and his group of musicians performed exceptionally at my daughter's wedding and reception. Forte Strings helped to make the overall experience one that we will never forget - many guests commented on how beautiful everything was, including the music. I contracted with Forte Strings to play a classical selection at my wedding on May 24, 2014. Todd Evans was very responsive to my initial request, and worked well with me in order to coordinate the playlist. I would definitely recommend Forte Strings to friends and family. Everything was great!

Forte Strings did a fantastic job providing both the ceremony and reception music at our wedding at the Japanese Garden in Fort Worth. They have a large repertoire of music across all genres. They transcribed two pieces of music for the ceremony which were written by my husband's grandfather, and they were beautiful! Todd, the quartet's musical director, attended our wedding rehearsal, providing guidance on the selection and order of music. And most importantly, the quartet sounds great! Definitely a highlight of our magical evening! Thank you Forte Strings, job well done!

Sharon took the time to sit down with us beforehand and choose the right music for our wedding, and had plenty of options to choose from in different genres. We also had the ability to request an arrangement if there was a song that they did not have on their very extensive list. They even had some Metallica available! If you want one less thing to worry about on your big day, I highly recommend Forte Strings. Sharon at Forte Strings was attentive, responsive and generally lovely. The worksheet for walking through the ceremony music was easy to use and helpful. The variety of available music was well beyond what I expected and they even offered to learn something new with enough notice. The price was extremely reasonable given the quality of the performance; several people commented on the high quality of the ceremony music during the reception. I also received no after-event complaints from my day-of wedding coordinator about their timeliness or professionalism. So greatful for selecting such a easy group to work with.

Forte Strings blew me away with their beautiful music on our wedding day! I was already very impressed with their enormous repertoire of songs, and when they started playing the prelude it almost brought me to tears because it was just so beautiful and flawless! I used Forte Strings for my wedding ceremony on 11/16/13 based on other reviews and was so happy I did. I know little about classical music and leaned on the expertise of Sharon Hawkins to select music for their duet. They were absolutely perfect and added the elegant touch I wanted for my ceremony. They were exceptional with transitioning through the ceremony and especially playing as my niece sang a special song.

Without question I recommend them for any special event that expects nothing less than the best. I will certainly use them again for the event that needs that extra touch of elegance. Thank you Sharon and Forte Strings for making my special day truly elegant.

Forte' Strings string quartet was such a great addition to our wedding! The music was beautiful and I got so many compliments from my guests. They played for my ceremony and cocktail hour (which was outside, and it was hot- they were great sports!). They even went above and beyond by playing the "A Team" theme song for our recessional! Forte Strings' impressive repertoire helped make choosing music simple. From the beginning, it was clear that their aim was to meet my desires as questions were promptly answered and suggestions given. My dream has always been to have a string quartet, and the music that they provided gave the backdrop and ambiance that I had always envisioned. It was so easy to work with Forte Strings. They were so sweet and helpful. They were also accommodating when I asked them to travel two hours for a 30min ceremony! Overall, I couldn't have worked with a better group!!! Everything was amazing!!!

Todd was so easy to work with during the planning. He help me decide on the selections, gave me advice, and even picked the music for the prelude. They were early to the site. Set up quickly and came to consult with me before the ceremony. Handled the last minute changes and chaos with patience and calm. Every guest was thrilled with their performance. I would use them for any event requiring music.

Sharon Hawkins and the whole Forte' team was great. Sharon was very organized and was quick to respond to emails. She had a ton of suggestions and mailed me a packet with Forte's entire repertoire, which by the way is impressive and extensive! We had the string quartet play and it was beautiful. They played for our ceremony and our cocktail hour. I wanted to walk down the aisle to a specific and unique song. Sharon transposed the piece for the quartet and it was a dream! Absolutely beautiful. We decided on all the songs for the ceremony together. During cocktail hour they played a mix of classical and pop songs, which was awesome! I highly recommend Forte' Strings!

I used Forte Strings for my ceremony and cocktail hour music and they did a great job. My parents and family are musicians and are extremely picky about music and so my mom selected this quartet after listening to DOZENS of demo CDs. We were so happy with the job they did. I work in the wedding industry and have heard them at dozens of weddings and am always impressed by their performance and professionalism. I recommend them without hesitation.

What I heard was great, and they did really well with my processional song that wasn’t in their repertoire. I didn’t have any issues with them and Sharon was really helpful and helped me pick out the music.

I loved these guys! I knew I wanted to have a string quartet play at my wedding (I was a music major in college), and I didn't really care what was played because anything sounds good when played by a professional quartet! And these guys were no exception! Amazing sounds, wonderful coordination by Sharon, and an excellent presence at our special day! They even learned an original composition that was given to us as a wedding gift and we used it for our recessional! Their website is very informative and helped us to select our music: the bridal party walked in to Viva La Vida, and I marched down to the Sleeping Beauty Waltz. I loved how we were able to be unique with our selections as they had such a wide variety to chose from!!

Forte' Strings played for both of my daughter's weddings and they are outstanding!! We had so many guests comment on how beautiful the music was and how much they enjoyed it. They are so professional and you won't find a better person to work with than Sharon Hawkins who is the administrator for the group. Sharon with Forte' Strings was wonderful to work with, she's incredibly helpful and was able to assist us laying out the best music arrangement for our ceremony.

I can't recommend Forte Strings enough - not only were they talented musicians and sounded like a dream, but they are extremely professional, reliable, arrived early, have great communication skills and are very organized. They made our big day a HUGE success - we received many compliments from guest how much they enjoyed relaxing and listening to their elegant sound prior and during the wedding. We couldn't be more pleased. They are amazing!

Forte Strings played during our wedding ceremony and reception at the Dallas Museum of Art in November 2010. It only required a small deposit to reserve them and they were very responsive to our requests. Forte sent us a large repertoire of music broken into different segments of the wedding that made it easy to sample and decide on our selections. We also elected for them to play a custom song that they had to learn for the bridal processional and it was simply beautiful. Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the music, from Coldplay to Vivaldi. Todd was a pleasure to work with and we would highly recommend Forte Strings to anyone looking for a string quartet for their special event!

Forte Strings is unbelievably talented and easy to work with. The planning process was simple and I was in constant contact with Sharon who made sure that I had the ability to choose the songs I thought were best for my wedding by giving me suggestions and helping illustrate what kind of songs go best where. I was somewhat jealous of my wedding guests as they got to enjoy Forte Strings for longer than I did; however, when I entered the chapel with my bridesmaids all of our jaws dropped, the music was beautiful! I am so pleased with Forte Strings. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. I knew when I started to plan my wedding that I wanted a string quartet. The website for Forte Strings allowed me to hear them playing a variety of selections as well as see a list of all the songs they can play. Forte Strings provided an outline with suggestions as well as a cd of the suggestions to help me plan what I wanted to play when. I didn't realize how much went into planning the selection of music I wanted played at the ceremony but Forte Strings made it so simple. They were extremely flexible with my last minute decisions. They were prompt and prepared the day of the wedding. It was nice that I did not have to worry about where they were and when they would get to the ceremony location. They were so professional and courteous to all of my guests and wedding party. I am so extremely happy with how everything went from start to finish. I can not imagine my wedding being as wonderful without them being a part of it. They sounded so beautiful and added the perfect touch. Thank you so incredibly much!!!

This is a great strings quartet! They were the first string quartet I contacted and as soon as I spoke with Sharon I knew they were the perfect quartet for my wedding. Sharon worked with me over the phone and email and took the time to make sure I was happy with my selections. My guests loved the music that was played. The quartet were very professional and timely. I was unable to use Forte strings for my wedding, but the place I chose for my wedding, The Alexander Mansion, referred them to me and also my friend used them for their wedding and loved them! Although when I called about 7 months before my wedding they were already booked for my day. They were very friendly and offered to call me if someone cancelled. I went ahead and went with another company because I didn't want to wait to the last minute and then not have a string quartet play at my wedding! I used Divisi Strings and heard they were compatible with forte strings!

I worked with Sharon Hawkins at Forte Strings to plan the music for my simple wedding ceremony and reception. I know nothing of classical music and wanted a mixture of light classical, contemporary, and Christmas songs, as most of my guests were between 25 and 50. I really wanted to keep with a light, casual sound and Sharon made the whole process very relaxed and easy. Their sample cd is beautiful, and she is delighted to play you song samples over the phone if you wish. If you are uncertain, she is there to guide you as she did me. I got nothing but great compliments from all my guests about how incredible the music was. Forte Strings was playing at Cappella Court open house and I booked them immediately once I heard the quality of sound! Todd Evans contacted me several times regarding my music selection and was even at the rehearsal to see how it was going to work together.

I was not able to hear them in the reception area for 1/2 an hour because we were taking pictures, but they played such an amazing group of songs that people said it was terrific!

The day of my wedding they did have a fill in musician and I heard three or four notes messed up...I assumed it was because of this because they were flawless when I heard them at the open house. It did not make a difference though because they picked right back up and played beautifully.

I would highly recommend this quartet for anyone!

I highly recomend this string quartet. Sharon was so great, they played EXACTLY what I wanted. It even rained, and they were still able to play under the tent. They were really wonderful. It made the day really great. I remember standing in the Bride's Room and heard them start playing, and it soothed and calmed me down. It was really fabulous. Sharon and the rest of Forte Strings made our ceremony even more special with their beautiful sound. Everyone commented on the wonderful job they did. Communication was amazing and they did exactly what we hoped. Sharon was able to attend our rehearsal and answer any last minute questions we had. These guys were amazing! They found the music I wanted that they did not already have, worked with our soloist on keys and how to make a duet fit just her voice, they were totally professional, very friendly, and answered several questions along the way! Very flexible and figured out how to perfectly time my entrance so that I reached the alter at a specific point in the song. Everyone enjoyed them, and I couldn't be happier with them!

They were really great to work with! Sharon guided me through the music selection process and answered every question very quick. People who were at the wedding have commented on how much they enjoyed Forte Strings. It really added a special touch to the ceremony and was a treat for our guests!
